461  Economy / Economics / Re: Is NOW the best time to buy or enter in bitcoin? on: September 22, 2017, 03:11:12 PM
Well no it's not the best time, the best time was many years ago and you'd now be a millionaire! haha! But right now is a very good time to buy IMHO. The market is low currently and will likely rise back to 5k and beyond once the current FUD has cleared.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: September 22, 2017, 01:57:15 PM
In addition to reducing unemployment bitcoin can also be an alternative to find additional money for those who already work

Well Im not disagreeing in what you have said, but well for me bitcoin produces unemployed people in the sense that they are working only in bitcoin which is not legitimately consider as job this is not handled by government but the good thing is people can earn money more than in the field they have choose to work on.

If they are earning money by working in a field then that is a job. Many may not see it that way but in terms of being employed or not, you would be considered as employed in the sense of self employment.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Term - PCO on: September 22, 2017, 12:18:02 AM
What would PCO stand for? Pre-coin offering? I think it is quite easy enough just with using terms such as pre-sale, I do not feel the need for a new acronym.
464  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: September 20, 2017, 10:25:19 PM
There was a poll done recently, and most people involved in Bitcoin believe that by 202, still under 3% of the population will even own any Bitcoin at all.

Do you have any reference to this poll? Would be interesting to check it out. It's strange to think how popular bitcoin is already given that it is such a niche market, imagine if it really did go mainstream?
465  Economy / Economics / Re: How long could bitcoin last? on: September 20, 2017, 06:54:16 PM
Bitcoin can like any currency crash and like most currencies probably will at some point. However bitcoin differs to most currencies in that it has a limited supply and thus by nature will be inflationary, this means as long as btc is demanded the price will always tend upwards.
466  Economy / Economics / Re: To be a millionaire in the United States is to still be poor on: September 20, 2017, 06:41:17 PM
'Rich' is always subjective and depends on living costs to a large extent. For me if I had 1m dollars I would consider myself rich and I think I could quite easily retire, however I have no desires to live in a major city or have extravagant things.
467  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: September 20, 2017, 06:38:57 PM
I think it is highly feasible that when crypto gain wider adoption from the general public that bitcoin could be replaced. At this point the coin with the largest level of usefulness to the general population will thrive and right now that probably isn't bitcoin.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Deep Onion on: September 19, 2017, 10:04:31 PM
Deep Onion could potentially rise in the long run presuming people's suspicions about it being a scam are incorrect. However it is almost inevitable to take a big dive once the 40 week airdrop is completed and people can sell all of their current coins so I would recommend investing at this point if anyone plans to do so.
469  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to increase BTC? on: September 19, 2017, 10:02:38 PM
There are numerous ways of growing your btc. You can participate in signature campaigns and either be rewarded directly in btc or in alt-coins that you can then sell for bitcoins. Further to that you can look to trade or invest alt-coins with the idea of growing your btc after you complete your trades/investments.
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Can be $5,000 Again? on: September 19, 2017, 09:56:19 PM
Bitcoin hitting 5k again is almost a certainty in my mind. It has recovered well following all the news in China and is very very likely to continue to do so in the following months. I expect to see btc reach and bypass the 5000 dollar level before the year end.
471  Economy / Economics / Re: China's influence on bitcoin is becoming insignificant. on: September 19, 2017, 09:54:37 PM
China will always have an influence due to how largely populated the country is, however it is inevitable that given time their control as well as others will diminish as the crypto population begin to understand the ways in which the market can be influenced and thus not reacting to it as much.
472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pricing over 4K ,thinking about buying on: September 18, 2017, 06:23:22 PM
Perhaps there will be marginally better times to buy in the near future but is it worth risking saving a few hundred bucks when on the flip side bitcoin could potentially push through 5k and to an all time high?
473  Economy / Economics / Re: Arbitrage of cryptocurrency transactions. on: September 18, 2017, 06:19:13 PM
There are many options currently for arbitrage and given correct planning they are possible for humans to partake (as long as you are willing to hold an asset to wait for an opportunity to arise) however there are many opportunities that aren't possible for humans given the speed required and thus something like this using bots is inevitable in the future.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Altcoins to buy under $1 on: September 17, 2017, 12:38:33 AM
Siacoin, NXT and civic all have really good projects and are in my opinion a steal at current prices. There's definitely potential in all of them for some good short term gains and some very very good longer term gains.
475  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs Mortgage on: September 17, 2017, 12:34:23 AM
If you believe in bitcoin then hold on to it and don't pay off that mortgage yet. You could probably pay off the mortgage monthly just by cashing out the growth in value of your coins. Then at the end of your mortgage you will still have your shiny bitcoins and won't have spent from any other forms of income you have.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: China, JP Morgan, etc. classic strategy on bitcoin on: September 17, 2017, 12:31:18 AM
We need to get used to this kind of strategy. It is so easy to do that strategy to make a false alarm on bitcoin because they got the power and they can influence people or the bitcoin user easily because bitcoin is so vulnerable into the effect of the news so if something says bad thoughts in bitcoin then it is automatically will make bitcoin dump but we can take advantage of that by buying the dumps and selling when the price goes up again.
Yes I agree with you that it is easy to trigger the price of bitcoin if there is a news that pointed bitcoin and also they have a big influence at the market. Most of the news have an effect in bitcoin price that can cause panic to some people and advantage to those creators of news because they can easily buy at the dip price.

For now this is true, but I believe it will become less and less of a trend as time passes. If bitcoin is to persist into the future then this will happen time and time again and soon people will start to wise up to it and it won't be such an effective strategy. If bitcoin lasts the test of time then it is inevitable that the price will begin to stabilise.
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [ICO] 💪 HERO | 🔥🔥🔥ICO STARTS TODAY🔥🔥🔥| $14M CAP ⏳ on: September 17, 2017, 12:28:32 AM
Am I correct in saying that any unsold tokens will be burned? I seem to recall seeing that somewhere but I can't now find it  Huh
Yes, they announced that one week ago here:
IMPORTANT UPDATE: We heard the community! Itīs important for us to follow the advice of the community! All unsold tokens will be burned, and the same percentage of our pool will be burned to keep a fair ratio!

ahh, thank you very much. I was starting to think I was going crazy  Huh that's a really fine decision in my opinion, it stops there from being an inflated supply presuming the ICO doesn't sell out
478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - time to buy or sell? on: September 15, 2017, 05:05:21 PM
Right now I think bitcoin is in a bit of a sweet spot at 3600. I am expecting the price to fall slightly to around 3300 at some point but eventually to rebound back above $4k, so really right now you could go either way, sell and look to buy back in if the price falls (riskier) or hold and wait for it to recover some more.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Strange color on: September 15, 2017, 04:57:28 PM
It is a strange colour, there was some positive news coming out of China that two of the major exchanges would not be closing down at the end of this month and would instead be removing CHY pairs from their exchanges by the end of october. I'm guessing that this is more time than some were expecting and thus the rebound
