461  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: October 25, 2017, 05:48:43 AM
Every time, for as long as I remember, that I go on bitcointalk, everyone keeps posting "BTC IS DEAD" "SELL" etc... And then a few Sr/Hero members come and explain how thats wrong.

I just don't get it.

Aren't we used to the price fluctuating by now? Whats with all the crying/moaning about price bubbles, crashing, inflations, Russia, China blablablablablablaaaaa!

Jeez... Do some research before posting, I saw one post which got LOADS of attention, yet the first post was done by paint, with an unlabelled graph which showed wrong data!

This is getting to the point where we are affecting newer members or gullible people into selling/dumping all their coins instead of keeping them. I mean when I come on the forum, I see that its crashing, why would I buy in?

I think we need to stop giving the panicking people attention and focus more on positive sides.

I dont know men, whenever the value of the bitcoins drops they always saud that it is the time that bitcoins will die but look at the bitcoins today still doing great still successful and as a matter of fact, every after fall, they pump and making their highest value record. The price almost reach 6000$ plus so nothing is impossible through bitcoins. This made me realize that I need to buy  lot of bitcoins whenever the price will drops because it will surely goes back again and you can easily gain an easy money through it. So for tbose who are saying that bitcoins are dead no they aren't they still the king.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: October 25, 2017, 03:59:41 AM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin

I heard this about a year ago, and I dont give a thing about his before because I though that this is just only used in an illegal transactions. But when my friends are already involved in this and they say that we can gain a lot of money in this I do mot hesitate to take the risk to be involved too. At first it was hard because I dont know anything about these yet but late on I manage to know all those facts. I always read some articles and news to be updated. And yes up to now we are gaining money in this and still not gonna left this business behind it is rapidly increasing.

So mas madali siya. At malaki din kita
464  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you deal with loss? on: October 21, 2017, 07:11:12 AM
So in trading how do you deal with loss? For example you've invested in an alt and now it has fallen quite hard and you're on the brink of losing all your bitcoin you invested in it.
How do you actually deal with it? Do you wait and keep on waiting in hope that it will bounce back up and return your investment or you sell and get whatever left of your investment?

I don't usually gave up that quickly when it becomes on my holdings, because sometimes the value of it will rise with just a little bit of patience. And I do not let my emotions drive me, it will just lead to a bad decisions. Some who are getting driven by their emotions are usually panic selling all their holdings and cutting their loss. And afterwards their holdings will pump but they already sell it with their loss so they are not gonna get back that money. And I dont want that to happen to me.
465  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think billionaires invest in BTC? on: October 21, 2017, 02:03:39 AM
I just always wonder if those billionaires still invest in btc. Do they even know btc exist?

I think just a few of of them invest in this, because why would they invest on bitcoins if they can afford to establish their own ICOs. But still we all know that millionaires are smart that is why they get in that situation, I know that they invested in this somehow because it will allow them to gain momey with just doing nothing but to buy it and hold it for a long period oftime. Some billionaires also can create their own altcoins so for me they are involved in this pretty much.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is BTC for you? on: October 17, 2017, 01:41:46 AM
What is bitcoin for you? Is it a chance or a scheme to get rich? Or is it actually to keep your wealth to yourself.
What lead you into bitcoin world and what's keeping you here?

Bitcoins for me is the future, it is the modern currency and it serves as a career to me knwing the fact that I'm just a student so I cannot work yet on some company or somthing. But bitcoins and this forum helps me to start gaining money in order to sustain myself. Bitcoin helps me also to get used to some problems that involves money, and trains me on how to handle loss and how tp decide properly. Thi has been a great help in my whole existence. Thanks that I have known bitcoins it is the start of a virtual future.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you prefer? BTC or ETH? on: October 13, 2017, 12:18:19 AM
People always said that ETH will be the next Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin is having major updates, will ETH will launch into the moon, soon?

You can always do both, I cannot decide righ noe because the value of bitcoins come on their highest with a 5300$ and still continuing to grow. Luckily I had saved some bitcoins on my wallet so I got some profits on that pump. On the other hand, ethereum is quite cheaper than bitcoins which is more affordable, and I also hope that their value will increase just like what happened to bitcoins. I bought a lot of ethereum last month because a lot of people are saying thaf it is the nect bitcoins and I want to be a millionaire.
468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: October 12, 2017, 01:49:57 AM
I have been told that don't accept payments via paypal, is that right?
Because when buyer will have his bitcoins then he can claim back money from paypal by saying that i haven't received desired product.

For me bitcoins is much better than paypal, because of them being decentralized, which means no government involves. And as an underage, it is great for us to easily access this, we also need this as a source of income or savings. Paypal needs a lot of requirements where it is pretty hard to have. Bitcoins can gave you privacy qith your identity and gives you the opportunity to have an investment while simply saving your money or in other words holding ypur bitcoins.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Uber on: October 10, 2017, 12:05:54 AM
Meanwhile, bitcoin just got integrated with Uber for tipping drivers. Isn't that a good news?

https://twitter.com/Melt_Dem/status/895466611477544960

That would be nice to have because I always ride on an uber rather than a regular taxi because for me it is kind a cheaper than it. And also when I do not know the place where will I go I ride on uber because it can lead you to the exact place. It is great for the both of us also because we can know used our bitcoins as a payment on transposrtation and for the uber company they will be rich because the value of bitcoins today are tremendously high, I widh I have a lot of bitcoins.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash will be THE Bitcoin on: August 20, 2017, 05:13:03 AM
Even with segwit, BlockStreamcoin can only scale to 4.5 tx/sec

Mining cartels will refuse to implement any new scaling proposals for BScoin

Meanwhile the real Bitcoin will have 2000 tx/sec

Blockstream and core devs are working with the US gov to force users off-chain

Big blocks or GTFO

It doesn't mean that bitcoin cash are came from bitcoins bacuse of the split is they will be the new bitcoins. No one can ever replace the bitcoins because look at their value. It rises more than doubled its price before segwit. How great was that as an investment and as a source of income.
471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: August 20, 2017, 03:33:16 AM
Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?

What is the essence of this question? But I do not panic at all whenever the prices of those coins that I hold drops. Because I know that it will always go back to its original price or even pump more. Panicking cannot help you to gain more money it will just ruin everything. You just need to be calm and be professional in handling some business situations.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth worth the investing? on: August 19, 2017, 11:23:14 AM
pool discussion on this

will Eth rise somemore and replace BCC? Will it be the next coins to target for....

For me it is worth to invest with ethereum, theyvare the most successful coins among all the altcoins. And the price of them are pretty impressive because it is high but not that hight as bitcoins does but they are still good investment. If you want to have some altcoins probably have that one in your wallet. A plenty of them because they might pump in the future just like what happened to bitcoins.
473  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best coin to buy today? on: August 19, 2017, 09:34:15 AM
What is the best coin to buy today?  So many good coins.. sometimes I have hard time thinking what's the best coin to buy.

There will always be one best coins in this business and that is bitcoins and first and the most successful coins among all cryptocurrencies. There is no coins that can surpass or even be like them, they are the one of the greatest investment in the world, it can even doubled your money by just simply holding their coins. And you can gain money to them by simply posting in some other threads.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: August 18, 2017, 01:06:26 PM
What do you think of Bitcoin Cash?
Do you think it will have the same value as Bitcoin or it will be just another Alt. Coin in the crypto market?

For me it is possible for the bitcoin cash to have the same value as the bitcoins did but for now it is a big no. It is impossible for them to surpass or even have the same value as bitcoin with yhese short period of time. They are just getting started in the business, they cannot surpass the bitcoin that fast, they just have a little number of users or holder compared to bitcoins that have all around the world. Bitcoins are still the best and no one can surpass them in this era.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help me choose a wallet for ETH on: August 18, 2017, 12:17:29 AM
Interested in the wallet for the desktop, with a password, seed, etc.
I suggest for you is the myetherwallet.com that is the one ive been using for my ethereum holdings. It is pretty easy to used and i think it is safe enough to hold our ETH. so far I do not have some issues regarding in losing money in that wallet the I can say that it is pretty much safe to use. But if you are talking about ofline wallet, I do not know some of that, all my wallets are though online and so far they are reliable.
476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Disappointed In Trading? on: August 17, 2017, 04:33:32 PM
“One of the keys to a trader’s success was not the results of a trade but rather how a trader reacted to the results of a trade.” – Dan Gamza

Why me? Why did this happen to me? Those are some of the questions that disturb losing traders. After a series of losses, some of them develop hatred for trading. Suffering that results from negative trades, drawdowns and margin calls can make people easily disappointed in trading.

Nonetheless, no matter how bad your trading is, it could’ve been worse. No matter how bad things are, there are still some reasons to be thankful, if you can think deep.

There are events that move the markets and which professionals focus on. These events often are filled with uncertainties, bringing profits and losses to people. Just some months ago, Greece was a hot topic, and speculators were mulling opening positions on the seemingly overextended markets, but some had serious misgivings. At times, the stakes may be higher than the rewards.

There Is Really Nothing Like Losses

There is really nothing like losses, for what brings losses to some people is what brings profits to others. The market moves up or down – not losing up or down. When you buy EURUSD and it goes up, you win (but a seller will lose). When you sell AUDJPY and it goes up, you lose (but a buyer will win). When you enter a direction in the market and it moves seriously in your favor, all those who go in that direction will make money, provided there are no wide differences in their entry prices.

What you call losses is what brings profits to some people. What you call profits is what brings losses to some people.

People Don’t Learn Their Lessons

Despite well-meaning efforts to solve the problem of loss, there are millions of traders around the world who’re still losing because of dangerous trading habits. People don’t learn their lessons.

During a funeral process, many attendees will be remorseful, thinking about the brevity of life and futility of wickedness, anxiety, love of money and so on. But once the funeral is done, you’ll see many of those attendees living their lives as if they’d not die again.

Too many traders lost in the past because they didn’t use stop loss on live and simulated accounts. When they come back to trading, you’ll see them using the same trading approaches that led to their downfall the last time, namely, high lot sizes and no stop loss. People don’t learn their lessons.

Traders who test new trading ideas on demos don’t use stops; and I wonder how that idea can survive on live accounts in the long haul, because they may apply it to a demo account once they’ve been lucky enough to gather some gains.

A Way Out?
After many years of grappling with the markets, traders who complained in the past may later show their gratitude; and for the fact that the markets cannot be blamed for what happen to them (though we may feel disappointed sometimes). There are days when they become sad, and they complain when they think of their seeming helplessness. Nonetheless, they’d have come to understand that the markets don’t set out to punish individuals.

Interacting with good traders as well as reading about super successful ones would’ve made them stronger psychologically and kept their spirits up.

Reflecting on a possibility of a risk-free trading approach reassures those who’re currently losing. Good trading coaches care about them, knowing full well that the end of their struggles is in sight. Focusing on such hope can give a trader the fortitude to endure certain negativity now.

Conclusion: Are you disappointed in trading? Well those who currently make loads of money from trading were once disappointed at some time in their careers. Those whose marriage is now successful were at one time, frustrated by their spouse. But these people, for example, profitable traders (as well as happily married persons), looked for solutions to their problems and apply those solutions faithfully. That doesn’t mean they’re luckier or better than others: that means they’re able to overcome the causes of frustrations and disappointment in their careers.

This article is ended with the quote below:

“Markets are people. So beating them asks for insight in what they are doing. And, perhaps more importantly, how they feel, because that will direct their future actions and, in the end, what markets will do.” – Dirk Vandycke

Sometimes yes I'm disappointed and sometimes no I'm satisfied with it. Because not all my trading activities comes in a successful way. If I gain a lot of money with those coins that I've trade, I'm probably going to be satisfied with it. But when I hold it for a long time hoping for a bigger profit but then the price is not right, I'm going to be disappointed with that because it is unfair, but that's trading we have to take risk.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is a roller coaster on: August 17, 2017, 01:17:20 PM
Just received reminder bitcoin dropped a lot, the price of the last week is very unstable, leading to other competing currencies continued to fall, there is no bottom line of that kind of fall, I would like to ask you tycoons on how to look at the future market?

Indeed bitcoin's price is like a roller coaster, the value goes up then it goes down. The good thing is the tendency of rising up is much more than it falls. It just decreased a little and increases tremendously high which makes my money doubled. I always buy bitcoins whenever the prices drops because it makes my money doubled. That's the advantage of bitcoins being a rollercoaster.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin money? on: August 15, 2017, 11:13:46 PM
Bitcoin is something radically new. Nothing like Bitcoin has been possible until now. I would go so far as to consider it sui generis; "in its own class".  This makes it important to understand what Bitcoin actually is before we try to describe it to others.

We're getting a good handle on the code, and of course on Bitcoin's function and utility, but what words should we use to describe Bitcoin itself? There has been some debate in other threads [mostly my doing] over how it is like/not like money, cash, dollars, etc. I'd like to start this thread by focusing on the term "money", and play Devil's avocate by asking for your best arguments that Bitcoin IS money.

My legal dictionary states "In usual and ordinary acceptation it [money] means gold, silver, or paper money, used as circulating medium of exchange, and does not embrace notes, bonds, evidences of debt, or other personal or real estate." [cites omitted]

Wikipedia says "Money is any object that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a given country or socio-economic context. The main functions of money are distinguished as: a medium of exchange; a unit of account; a store of value; and, occasionally, a standard of deferred payment." [cited omitted]

Webster's Online Dictionary defines money as:
    • 1. The most common medium of exchange; functions as legal tender; "we tried to collect the money he owed us".
    • 2. Wealth reckoned in terms of money; "all his money is in real estate".
    • 3. The official currency issued by a government or national bank; "he changed his money into francs".
    • 4. A piece of metal, as gold, silver, copper, etc., coined, or stamped, and issued by the sovereign authority as a medium of exchange in financial transactions between citizens and with government; also, any number of such pieces; coin.
    • 5. Any written or stamped promise, certificate, or order, as a government note, a bank note, a certificate of deposit, etc., which is payable in standard coined money and is lawfully current in lieu of it; in a comprehensive sense, any currency usually and lawfully employed in buying and selling.
    • 6. In general, wealth; property; as, he has much money in land, or in stocks; to make, or lose, money.
    [links omitted]
    [/list]

I maintain that per these definitions, Bitcoin cannot possibly be described as "money". And further, I think that those who do describe Bitcoin as "money" are doing this community a disservice.

But that is just my point of view. Are there any that can convincingly argue otherwise, that Bitcoin IS money?

Yes absolutely it is a money, for me it is the future's money or should I say currency. Butcoin can easily converted into money, or we can pay using it on some stores accepting it. So if you can do such thing using it, you can buy things services etc. It can be considered as a money. And besides just exchange it into a real money and it will instantly became a money, so for me bitcoins s are money
    479  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC as a national currency? on: August 15, 2017, 12:03:48 AM
So as far as we know BTC currency is growing wide, do you think there will be when it become a national currency? If yes, why?If not, why?
I think it is great if we do not need to bring cash anymore, just bringing a device then scan it. If will be possible if the society accepts it, if the stores and other markets will start to accept it too. You cant live using bitcoins this period of time because only limite stores are accepting it as a payment so it is very hard to buy things or services. But I know in the future it will become that one.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: August 14, 2017, 03:14:18 PM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?
