Whales have been pushing the price down with "sell-walls" for almost 8 hours. The price will go up once they stop doing that.

If you follow closely Neo price development you can see there is clearly lots of manipulation going on right now that tries to push the price down. Just moments ago Neo started to go up but then some whale put up a "sell-wall" (over 1000 neos) to 530k. Without the whales manipulation the price would allready be much higher.
I think the whales want price to first drop to some specific level and then they will start massively buy Neo again.

I followed the price graph of Neo many hours yesterday, Neo price was at a turning point some 6 hours ago, it might have went on rise but then some whales put "sell-wall" at 540k satoshi (there was a clear flatline in Bittrex graph, I even took pics). They were successful in dropping the price slowly and its now around 496k. Still there has been great resistance, no panic sales for many hours. But I think the manipulation was successful since now the price is steadily going down. Edit: The current clear decline started right after "sell-wall" 8 hours ago. It seems like Neo just turned from downward motion to upward motion. But then it hit "sell-wall" at 540k. All buys over 540k are currently countered with sales so that the price stays at 540k. Its like a flatline. Is something going to happen soon, big bump or dump? After some reading Im guessing its somekind of attempt to get the price down: for a professional trader it's all about getting the best price you can, buying or selling. So if the current price is $990, you don't put in an order at $1,000 of course. You put in an order for say $900, and try and move the action down towards your bid. You can do this by putting a "sell wall" (with no intention of actually selling). Sellers behind that wall will get no bids unless they jump the wall (lower their offer price) hence moving them towards your lower bid price.
It's mostly psychological, but it works, as most newbs can't work out what is going on...the way to overcome them, if you have the money and the stones, is to take out their wall in one hit, before they can move it.annoys the shit out of them, loses them money and makes them think twice about doing it in future. The games that go on...

How can they ban crypto when China is the leading manufacturer of crypto? Or are they going to continue mining while banning the product that the mining generates? Doesnt sound believable.  |

I still have plenty of reserve cash ready to buy as soon as that bubble bursts. Might take long time for all assets to recover but I can be patient.

Not sure why but my favorite is zencash. Its the one I would choose if I could. I hope it will love me back one day.

Its all the extra money in the world trying to find place to invest. Stocks are overvalued after last year so they dump all money into cryptocurrencies. Once stock market corrects itself and starts to suck money again, situation might revers a bit but for sure crypto is now established for sure. Its as good investment as any. I think crypto has bright future allready since fiat is screwed because of banks and bad politics. Banks are constantly printing more fiat out of their asses while crypto has hardcoded limits. Once people will see that crypto keeps its value better they will dump fiat and start use crypto directly. At some point they might even want their salaries as crypto if fiat crashes hard. Rothschild said "Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes it's laws". With crypto banks are finally going to loose that control. Thanks to decentralization no one can truly control money ever again. Will cryptocurrencies replace fiat money in the future? Most certainly, tokens from the blockchain deemed as currency of value by organizations will certainly replace fiat currency. I believe Bitcoin shall remain the currency that people use for long term investments like stock and Ethereum would be traded on a regular basis much similar to paypal or venmo. Banks may soon issue cryptocurrency that is based off on their own private blockchain and hold currency values like how banks from different countries hold each others, similar to how US banks hold Naira in Nigeria to maintain the exchange rate. https://www.quora.com/Will-cryptocurrencies-replace-fiat-money-in-the-futureBanks might issue their own crypto but people will not use it if its not limited and decentrilzied. Far from crash. More like a small correction. When real crash comes bitcoin itself will drop like 40% and altcoins even more. When that day comes, I will open my bags of money. There's no crypto crash going on. It's just a typical weekend dump, abusing the fact that people can't send fiat money to exchanges and some investors don't pay much attentian as during working days.

I sold all I had at 630k. After that is has been going down. Hard to say how far down it goes. Could drop under 500k. Feels like repeat of Monaco and that one is still going down.

Whats happening with NEO currently? The price is like hovering over 659k/30 dollars. The chinese have invested heavility into NEO, maybe they are guarding it. Everybody would buy into it if the price drops to 300k. I think the discussion against ICO is not really related to just NEO but Ethereum too. Its not happening just in China. They are going to stop the scamming one way or the other. NEO it itself will be used by China Im sure, the rich chinese have invested into it so heavily. They will make sure its the choice for China. Thats my guess. Politics is almost more important than the actual features of the platform. NEO is supposedly better than Ethereum in those. 30 dollars is a reasonable entry point. Better get in before the rocket starts countdown. You literally have no clue what NEO is doing and will be doing in the very near future. Imagine investing in Tesla right now; it still would be quite a good investment if you ask me. Now, what if you could've invested in Tesla right before talk got out about the first electric car/space X/... Wouldn't that be a better, more lucrative investment? My point is, why wait for a business to actually have a fully scaled working product, when you can invest before that product hits the market. I guarantee, NEO will rival ETH's price in less than two years.
I wouldnt compare NEO to Tesla. Sure NEO will be valuable in future, but how much? The value itself is all speculation. It could be more than million satoshi or less than that. In future there will hundreds, more likely thousands of coins with real value. Still not all of them will become as valuable as Bitcoin. |

Thats a lot of money to use on overvalued altcoins. I think you should start slow. Spend only little money at first and see how the value of the coins develop. If you are greedy and quick you are in risk to loose your money. Think what the real value of the coin is, not the speculative value in exchange.
Bitcoin and ethereum are the only really proven coins. Value of all others is based mostly on speculation. Even then ethereum is based on ICOs which themselves are mostly speculation.
I think there will be bigger crash within year. All will come down. Too much money is been poured into the coins without them providing any actual value. Of course after that they will rise again, good chance to buy cheap.

NEOs value was way too high, all based purely on future speculation. Why pay million satoshi for coin that doesnt even do anything? The only thing it can do is bring little money if guys after you pay even more for it (kind of like in pyramid). How do you know that NEO is actually worth million satoshi once its use actually starts? You cant do anything with one NEO. You need thousands, tens of thousands. Instead of looking at the speculative value in exchange one should always think what the real value of the coin is.
Bitcoin is the only proven coin and Ethereum is atleast used for ICOs. NEO is just lots of hot air. Its not proven yet.

I doubt there is still any real use case for it. Its still all speculation. Even if there was some use case the coin is likely already overvalued like most altcoins. Not going to buy especially if that rocket already launched. |

I think waves is the most fun to coin use. I really like the chrome extension and all the different tokens you can create and own. And I do believe that dezentrilized exchange is the way to go. This seems to be the best in that regard. Also I think the price is not too bumped yet. It feels realistic.

I feel that most altcoins are overvalued currently. It can cost lot to buy even handful but still for small investor the coins are often useless beyond the speculative value. If you own like 1000 or 10000 more then you can mine or stake but then the price is impossible.
Many altcoins have lost lots of value lately, like MCO and even NEO. I tried to buy them a bit but now that their price drop so easily its proven that they are no good for holding value.
However there are some altcoins that hold their value much better than others. I think I will use that as a main factor for future investments.

I tested the shift wallet at https://wallet.shiftnrg.org. Sending shift from exchange to wallet is quick, it took only minutes. But sending shift back to the exchange seems to take much longer. over 20 minutes. |

Ive ran this for month now with flypool but lately the program just stops after a while. There is no error message or anything. I have to close the window and restart it. It might run few hours and stop again. I have four asus strix gtx 1070.
