461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What encourages you to invest in any altcoin? on: October 10, 2017, 12:46:24 AM
I am a crypto enthusiastic and i know a 90% of people here on bitcointalk are as well.
There are a lot of altcoins in the market today. What should one look out for before investing in any altcoin

For me the only altcoin that I am trusted in with the potential and the value of it is the ethereum. That is the only altcoins that caight my attention. I already invest in it, I bought it when the price was low before and now I'm gaining a lot because they pump. They are lile the bitcoins before when it was just getting started. When it becomes to altcoins my eyes and my investment is always on ethereum because it is tried and tested by me. Trust ethereum jist how you trust the bitcoins. It will guaranteed you a lot of money.
462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do you plan to sell? on: October 09, 2017, 01:56:19 PM
What is your exit point? Where will you sell your coins? How much % of your stack will you sell?

Whenever the price is high, I always sell my coins because who wants to sell their holdong for a lower price. You've hold it for a long time then you just get a lower profit as what you've expected. No I don't do that, I'd rather hold it for a long period of time until the time comes that those coins will be worth higher than it is before because we are here to gain a lot of money and lower profit is not enough to me. I have a lot of patience to hold it for a long time kist to get a mich bigger profit.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Bitcoin Cash on: October 08, 2017, 11:11:50 PM
What do you think of Bitcoin Cash?
Do you think it will have the same value as Bitcoin or it will be just another Alt. Coin in the crypto market?

I think it is just an altcoin in thee crypto market, it doesn't mean that when bitcoin cash was came from bitcoins because of the segwit is they will be as successful as bitcoins. It is up to the team if they will be as successful as bitcoins, but it also depends on us consumers if we buy bitcoins cash then it will be profitable. But for now, I see bitcoin cash as just an altcoin just like ethereum and mamy more. Their value is higher than ethereum but for me ethereum have more potential than them.

465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite coin so far on: October 05, 2017, 01:42:49 PM
Just want to open it up and ask people what there favourite cryptos are so far,

Personally I have been surprised by Bankera, I bought into the pre ICO and every week they have been paying the ETH

commissions into my wallet, also looking forward to Electroneum and BQX......

So far my favorite coin is the ethereum because it gives me a lot of profits. And it has a great potential just like what bitcoins are, they are like bitcoins when bitcoins was just getting started so I know that in the future they will also be a successful coin and maybe they can surpass the value of bitcoins what can we say, a lot of things might happen. But ao far that is my favorite coins and I have a lots of it in my wallet.
466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: October 05, 2017, 03:31:12 AM
I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?

As a student, I have nothing to lose if I invest all of my money on bitcoins. And so I did, I invest all of my gunds allowance on bitcoins, until now I'm holding it into my wallet hoping to be much expensive in the future. I was inspired on the teenager who became a millionaire because of just simply buying bitcoins before, and I know that my bitcoins will be worth millions in the future. But for you, if you have something to spend on just dont spend all of your money in here because this is somehow a long time investment so save something for yourself but buy also bitcoins.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy ETH now? on: October 03, 2017, 04:08:37 AM
Hi guys,

do you think it's a good time to buy ETH now? Price seems to be kinda low, but I'm not sure what to expect from ETH during the upcoming weekend & the aug1-happening after..
Do you think it's better to wait a few days...?

It is always good time to buy ethereum because we all know that it is a successful coins and the most successful altcoins. But for me the best time to buy ethereum is when the price drops because you can bought it for a lower price but it is up to you when to buy. I'm just gonna say that ethereum is a great coin no doubt about that, actually I have a bunch of ethereum in my wallet and up to know I'm not letting it go, I'm still holding it hoping to be much expensive someday.
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 02, 2017, 04:02:02 AM
bitcoin is five years time in my opinion there will be a lot of hard forks from the original bitcoin blockchain and the value of bitcoin would increase by 300 percent today's price. if transaction's speed and price remains the same, bitcoin's not improving and maybe the price wont grow that much

5 years are a lot of years, so many things might happen in that long. But I know that bitcoins will still be the one ruling this cryptocurrency industry. And if they continued to be that successful, their price might triples as the price of theirs today. And I also think that a lot of stores will know accept bitcoins as a payment because bitcoins are gonna be more popular than today. I know that there are stores who are accepting bitcoins but in that year it will be increased. And if that happen I'm gonna be rich.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: September 28, 2017, 11:34:28 AM
why so many people store their bitcoin in their wallet for a long time, whether the benefits will they get?

Come share your thoughts

They are storing it because they know the capabilities of bitcoins. Maybe they heard about the news on the kid who invested in bitcoins before and just hold it for a long time then after a couple of years, that kid became a millionaire. Because the price of bitcoins before are too cheap compared from today which ranges up to 4000$. And it might grow even more so many people are holding their bitcoins including me, hoping for the growth of bitcoins. We all want to be reach that is the main reason of it.
470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I grow my btc? on: September 26, 2017, 05:53:33 AM
Hey guys I'm not sure if this is the right place so please tell me if it is not. With that out of the way, I have a question for you all. I have recently been able to gather about .5 btc through minor trading and I was wondering if there was any method or way to grow this btc into a larger amount safely and fairly quickly. Thanks!

Probably make a move, because it is not gonna grow that fast if you just do nothing. Although it can grow if the bitcoins price pumps because the value of your holding will also increases, but that's gonna take a long time. So probably join in a signature campaigns where you will gain some bitcoins. And you dont want to spend all of that already, if you do not have that thing to buy yet then probably save it for a long time because it will doubles its price if the bitcoins value rise up. And always have a lot of source of income
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: right time to buy alts on: September 26, 2017, 03:39:19 AM
i see price dropping for most of top alts, is it right time to buy? or wait ?

Yes it is time to buy some in order to earn some when the price come back to its normal price. That is a good strategy when it become to a short time investment because you can gain a lot in just a short period of time. Actually I buy a lot of ethereum when their price drops and know that they are slowly getting pump and rising their price I already have an easy profit without even doing anything. And thats a great opportunity to us want to start to have a lot of profit. This is just the beginning, I'm also planning to buy a lot of it when the next drop comes because they always come back.
472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I hold? on: September 24, 2017, 11:44:54 PM
I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

Yes you will hold as much as possible, why would you sell if the value is low? That will just lead you to a lower profit, you dont deserve that. All the cryptocurrency are down today because of china banning situation. And this is not the right time to sell because of a huge deflation. Just wait for the price to come back to the previous amount before selling those coins. I know it might take a while but, it is much better to wait than to lose a lot of money. Just continue earning money but do not sell it. Wait until the huge pump.
473  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: September 24, 2017, 10:31:46 PM
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

I do not thinknthat paper money will be banned, instead they will not be used anymore or it will be phased out in our society. Bitcoins are the one who will replace that thing, or when the government knows how to work with the blockchains maybe they will create their own cryptocurrency in their own country. Because it is more convenient than paper money. We will now pay our bills using our phones by scanning codes. And that will be less hassle on bringing some cash or credit cards because phone are always in your hands and so does your money.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: September 24, 2017, 02:11:31 PM
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

I think they can, because they are just getting started in this business but still they are making some history for just a short period of time. If they will continue this thing they can survive a hundred years just like our fiat had survive. They are the future currency for me, and I see that in the future we will not use some fiat to buy some goods but rather we will used cryptocurrency or digitalcurrency as a kind of payment. And bitcoin being the pioneers in this businessthey will be known and trusted by the wholeworld.
475  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Anong Trabaho mo ngayon? Related ba sa course niyo? on: September 22, 2017, 11:07:01 PM

476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: September 22, 2017, 10:38:32 PM
The miners mine and hold, other mine and sell.

Investors and speculators buy, hold and sell.

You can buy random items in auctions and through the forums.

What are the reasons for the bulk of the bitcoin transfers? I read an article underlying the "dark side" of the internet and TOR network, and they seem to point out that bitcoins are now nearly the exclusive currency for the online "black market" (Note, they are not saying bitcoins are exclusively used for black market transactions)

What have you used bitcoins for?

Miner
Investor
Black Market
Other - explain

I'm using bitcoin as a source of income. Because I'm still a student who are still depending on my parents when it becomes to financial situation. But thats way back then.,  today with thw help of bitcoins it allows me to somehow have a job to do in order to have an income. And I'm using those profits to sustain my daily need in school. I'm also helping my parent to become financially stable. Amd also I'm saving some of my profits as a form of lomg term investment because we all know that bitcoins value is rising.
477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading sucks, I'll just hold my coins on: September 22, 2017, 04:12:49 PM
Yesterday I just lost 1.8k USD, maybe in USA or in West Europe that's doesn't much, but here in my shitty country that's a f* big amount of money. Here the minimum wage is ~ 300 USD / month. So that's like 6 month of work if I cut my bread and water and live on air. Half of my saving were other investments, but anyways... I'm feeling shitty right now. Oh, and I break my laptop. So yeah, that's another - 500 usd.

I though I can trade. Buy low, sell high. Sounds good, doesn't work.

Looking at the charts and candle sticks and watching old bitcoin values, and huge spikes (pump, I saw here how people uses the pump word, daaaamn...) I was... yeah, I can totally do that. I'll just buy when it's low, and sell it when it reaches the top. Well, I was wrong. You can't see the future, otherwise everyone would be a millionaire. That would be true if you would have a delorean from '85 with Emmett Brown and Marty Mcfly and you could f* travel in future and see the PUMPS!!!1

So anyone who will read this message (noobs like me) if you don't have any trading experience, don't do it. There are expert traders who know how this market works, when to buy and when to sell. Don't assume your skills by watching youtube videos and reading "daily indexes and predictions" of how the price will rise or go down by shitty sites. That's just dumb. You don't know what's gonna happen. Maybe a little bit of luck, or I don't know.

So yeah, from now on, I'll just leave the trading area for experts and I will invest in bitcoin by buying every 2 week or monthly and saving into my wallet. And one day (I hope so) the price will rise and I will buy for my self a delorean.

Cheers!

When doing a trading or if you wish to be a trader you should have a lot of patience. Why. Because this is a waiting game, you meed to wait for the right time where the value of your coins or tpkems or whaterver you will trade the value of them will always rise up. Maybe today its value is kinda low because it is just that. But if you wait for a couple of months and the value of your coins might get higher than before because thats how trading works. You just need to wait for the opportunity to come for you.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: September 22, 2017, 01:36:11 PM
Are you a bitcoin fan?
Do you spend a lot of time on bitcoin? Reading news, trading, or even writing your own analysis.
But how did you first hear about bitcoin?
Is it some articles you read about? Or just from a friend who has traded bitcoin for a long time?

Share your experience with us. Grin

I first heard of them on my classmates because in that time the deep web phenomena is getting hot in the social media and  that is the first time I heard about bitcoins. And its says that it is used to buy drugs and other illegal transactions because it is decentralized. And coincidentally my friends know about bitcoins and all about this forum. Then they said to me that they gained money through this then they ask me to also join this thing because it can probably help me financially so I started bitcoining and until know I'm earning money in this thing.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: September 22, 2017, 08:56:29 AM
I can't name any other coin/token, which failed more times than ETH. It's not about loving or hating it, it's all about people losing money, because of situations which can be avoided. I would care less if these ETH based projects were not asking money from the masses, but that's not the case. And believe me when I'm saying that Ethereum has some powerful lobbyists. Otherwise its price would be probably 1/5 from the current one.

Didn't we had enough of this?

Yes of course is not that they fall then we will quit supporting them. They are still the most successful altcoin existing even if they value drops it is like the value of bitcoins, they will come back again from its own price or maybe even Higher. Just continue supporting ethereum they are much reliable than any other altcoins look at their value. They have the exact same potential as bitcoins does. And I know that they cannot surpass bitcoins but they will make theur own name in this industry.
480  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to increase BTC? on: September 22, 2017, 01:12:07 AM
Hey guys.

How can I increase my bitcoin money? I am a bit curious to those people who can easily make money “btc” grow fast. How do they it correctly?
Can I ask a bit of advice on how to manage it like what you do?
Of course I know many people here want to know too.

Maybe it is good to share a little of it. It would be great if we grow together.

It is really simple to invrease your bitcoins. First you just need to join in a signaturecampaigns where they will provide you a lot of bitcoins. That is a great start specially it doesn't required you to spend money when you want to start doing that thing. And after that there are also a lot of may other ways to earned bitcoins without paying any of them lile investments. There are bounty campaigns where they will gave you altcoins then you will trade it into bitcoins. Twitter campaigns where they will provide you either bitcoins or altcoins. Then signature campaigns.
