461  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Work management on: April 27, 2020, 05:08:04 PM
I saw members doing a 50 or more bounty here on bitcointalk I commend them for managing that number of bounty, Especially if you join a task on twitter and facebook it is a daily or weekly task. Way back on the year 2017-2018 I guess I join max 10 to 15 bounties I put the details on notepad and sometimes on excel or spreadsheet that is the way I manage to complete and not forget each project. But I guess its better to go for hard tasks like blogging, translations because it is a one time task and often got big rewards. Also, for most bounties signature has a much better allocation.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties explanation and the reasons why many project is failed on: April 27, 2020, 03:58:38 PM
Reaching softcap or hardcap does not determine the success of any project.
It is true the project's mission and vision and the team's dedication is an important key to success, but I encounter projects with potential before not reaching at least softcap it ends up a failure, this is only applicable on projects that started from scratch and no budget at all. Now I notice most projects that success has initial funds or have been supported by private firms but of course, they have a good product or idea and marketing strategy.

463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance vs Coinbase Pro on: April 27, 2020, 12:09:53 PM
Every user has their own preference even a sh*tcoin exchanges has few traders you can't force everyone to trade on one exchange only we have our own choices. Sometimes if they are comfortable on one exchange and the coins they want to trade are available, they are sticking on that exchange. Coinbase Pro has a few coins listed on it that is why compared to Binance the volume has a very huge difference. Just like what everybody says the only advantage on coinbase is you can directly withdraw on banks, you can transfer funds from coinbase wallet to coinbase pro conveniently and vice versa, last time I check there was no fee on these transfers.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IEOs from binance not worth holding ? on: April 27, 2020, 10:43:43 AM
The Cartesi IEO price was 0.015 USD for the IEO investor it still profits a more than x2 profit. I guess it is still worth it, Most of the projects there are above IEO price it never hit lower than the IEO price. I guess the safest platform to invest now is binance but try in your own risk the market is volatile we don't know what will happen but think on things to minimize those risks.
465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Identifying and Avoiding Fake Apps on: April 27, 2020, 10:15:24 AM
You can avoid fake apps by not trusting google playstore not everything on this platform is real, some people abuse the lousiness of google allowing fake apps without proper verifications. So it is better to go to the official website and look for the link of the app. Also, don't just install random APK's that are found on google it might have some included malware. Most fake apps are APK's because they cannot be reported easily so be careful with those apps.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project use case is important for long term investment on: April 26, 2020, 07:44:29 PM
If you are planning to invest in long term better not jump on those new projects in IEO, why? We don't have the assurance that those projects will last. I prefer an existing project that has already established a good reputation already and has a good volume on the market. Don't risk in those new projects we have lower risk on existing ones. Well, but there are some new unique projects we can't deny that but the majority are not good and redundant coin.
467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What can we do to minimise the risk in trading on: April 26, 2020, 06:26:00 PM
I guess you have learned all the basics to start trading but I have one advice for you, Is to familiarized each trading platform, they have different styles and GUI. You might get confused, sometimes instead selling on high price you buy at high price that is a common mistake if you are not familiar with the trading platform. Some platform has a demo, try it first before trying the real one. Especially on leverage trading each platform has unique ways so better familiarize it first to avoid committing mistakes.

469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag? on: April 26, 2020, 03:51:54 PM
It is such a big and sad loss, Wasted a chance to get a large amount of money, 30 ETH now is more or less 5820 USD it is big money. Maybe greed comes on his way, thinking of getting a bigger amount and it ends in a tragedy. It happens for the second time maybe for the 3rd time he already learned his lesson. If he's your friend advise him for the better. He goes for a high risk high reward, sometimes it pays off sometimes not. If I was on his shoes maybe I would withdraw 50 to 80 % of it.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The current level of security in PoS. on: April 26, 2020, 02:36:38 PM
I guess 51% attack is also possible on POS coins but it is easier on POW coins, PoS makes it simpler to penalize explicit actors in a 51% attack situation I think that is why no one does that on POS coins and they will be caught and punish specifically. This is on the grounds that PoS validators have moderately long-lived identities and PoW miners are changing their identities with each block and it is harder to trace them specifically.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has hindered Bitcoin from getting mainstream adoption? on: April 26, 2020, 01:53:20 PM
For me, The main problem bitcoin or crypto adoption is facing now, is the rules and regulations of each country especially the USA. That is keeping us away from that goal, this year we have some good news and bad news. Some countries are banning cryptocurrency but the good thing is some countries lifting ban on cryptocurrency like in India and several countries. I guess if 1 countries will fully adopt crypto and it will have a good result some countries will follow like a chain reaction.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto giveaway scams and how to spot them on: April 26, 2020, 12:45:06 PM
Yeah, I encountered some of this scam mostly on twitter, Sometimes they comment on well-known projects, copying the name and change a little bit on their username same on telegram too. I often join giveaways with verified icon on twitter to avoid this scam, also I check the website for official twitter account I don't join right away I review it first. Scammers are everywhere they will pm you with suspicious links don't ever click a link from a suspicious account just blocked and report them.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of IEO is Exchange on: April 25, 2020, 06:32:02 PM
Top exchanges really are a big influence on the project it seems like the majority of the people who use and trade on those top exchanges are starting to get interested in that certain project too just like what is happening on Binance now. If they are having a launchpad (IEO) that project will become the new star, so many people are going to jump and get interested in it. Binance will not let their reputation goes down by not reviewing a project well. I am sure they will run a lot of verifications. Listing and having an IEO on sh*t exchanges now will not bring you, huge investors, Investors are wiser now.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dForce attacker returns all $25M stolen funds in FULL on: April 25, 2020, 05:43:27 PM
Strange that such a hacker could leave footprints like IP. It is more than unbelievable these days to be honest. Anyway, although we used to hate centralize exchange for many reasons, this is one of the reason that we should need. To trace some money, centralize exchanges are playing good role indeed.

Indeed very strange, they could hide their ip before attacking, just like the past exchange hacking cases, or maybe the past hack incidents were insider job ?
If we using centralized exchange, they will take responsible for our coin when get compromised, but if we using decentralized exchange, who will take the responsible ? Our own self.  Roll Eyes
Yeah, It is very strange. In fact, it is the first time I heard a hacker return the funds, I guess there is so many scenarios behind it and we don't know. Maybe someone hired a hacker just to test their platform on how good is the website security, all we can do is speculate. Well, everything that comes to the computer and programming and stuff can be penetrated by humans because it was made by a human so its possible that the hacker made a mistake and lead it right back at him. It is a good thing that all funds are returned.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best coin in 2020 for long term buy ? on: April 25, 2020, 05:02:44 PM
Let your first choice be the king itself (Bitcoin) followed by Ethereum and few other top altcoins, maybe top 10 coins like BNB (binance coin) or OKB (Okex token)
Plus one for BNB, BNB has a good development recently. They have launched and added smart contract features on the Binance Chain, also they have completed their 11th coin burn reducing the supply of BNB to 187 Million. They have enabled BNB staking too, I guess the details will follow. So many things are happening in this coin and the fact that is a utility coin of the top exchange Binance, as long as Binance exists this coin will be more valuable.
476  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying btc from a forum member on: April 25, 2020, 04:24:19 PM
Doing a transaction on Members with a good reputation is safer also consider their ranks and an active forum member. But ranks do not define anything so be careful. If you plan to do a big transaction, you right get an escrow it is the safest option. We have plenty of trusted escrow here in the forum just go to services board and you can find some trusted escrow services there.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you committed, or considered committing, illegal act to finance gambling? on: April 25, 2020, 03:47:03 PM
Why on earth would you expect anyone here to simply confess their sins just like that and ruin their reputation in this forum?
It makes sense  Cheesy I guess there is someone out there but there is no way he will confess his illegal act here, you are right it will surely ruin his reputation. To OP: Your thread is nice but I don't know if someone will confess it here, maybe if he will make an alternate account for confession use only. As for me, I don't even think of these bad illegal things it will not bring good things to us, it will ruin or complicate our life and maybe we will regret it in our whole life.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Starbucks, McDonald's could be the pioneer testers of China's digital currency? on: April 23, 2020, 02:40:14 PM
Just read a blog an hour ago regarding Starbucks and McDonald's, they could be the first testers of China's central bank digital currency. This is big news! Well, this is very interesting for the crypto community, We know that this currency could be centralized because it is controlled by china's government but still it is a digital currency, it still impacts the crypto community. Last year I made a thread regarding china is planning to create their own currency you can find more info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5188288.msg52580995#msg52580995

479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you need licence to open up an online Bitcoin Casino? on: April 21, 2020, 05:42:58 PM
creating a fake license ? hows that possible  . i mean people can click on it and search it  . by that they can find out if the license is legit or not and i think its obvious if the site is fake because of thier designs , banners , fonts , etc  . people do also play on a new site that dont have license yet and i think some old sites still dont have license to but there are also gamblers that plays on them . not all gamblers are going to check license first but they check other factors instead and decide if they will play on it or not but still having a license is a plus point for gambling owners

Some fake website has flawless designs , banners , fonts , etc. But you are right the majority does not look good. Creating a fake license is very possible, I encountered a scam projects before and they have created a fake license but it is not gambling-related, some people will just look at the piece of document and will not bother to verify It, so we need to be careful and take time to read some reviews. I guess those gambling sites without a license has gained trust after existing for a long time with good service. But I am still confused, is license on online gambling really required?
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Manipulation Or Not? on: April 21, 2020, 05:00:00 PM
I am seeing this is manipulated, why? these exchanges probit, coinsbit, vindax are sh*t exchanges I have a very bad experience with those exchanges especially probit, so many bots it can dump or pump the coin/token. I am holding a token that is listed there it was dump 99%. If they can do it they can also pump a particular coin with fake trades. Be careful with those exchanges.
