461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 23, 2022, 08:40:57 AM
In the second minute of extra time, Linda Sembrant scored to defeat Belgium 1-0. Despite Nathalie Bjorn's shot being saved by Evrard, Belgium couldn't hang on to a corner, and Sembrant turned to take the rebound.
With this victory, Sweden was able to advance to the 2022 Women's European Cup semifinals. Sweden will face another test they take on England in the Euro 2022 semifinals. Full time: Sweden 1 - 0 Belgium.

Another game where strong favorite has huge problems with the outsider and spoils the nerves of everyone who made a "reliable" bet. I think a lot of people bet on the total or on the victory of Sweden with a negative handicap and in the end they lost.
In today's game, France is also the favorite, but this time it's not so obvious - their odds of winning are estimated at about 1.75. Will the outsider win on the fourth try, or will the favorite be able to show dominance in at least one game out of four?
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is it profitable to hedge/cashout bets before end of sport event? on: July 23, 2022, 08:20:41 AM
I know that many bettors, if a sporting event develops in favor of their bet, make a counter bet - for example, they bet on odds of 1.3 and on the opposite event, the odds were 3.3. Then the odds changed 1.3 -> 1.1 and 3.3 -> 5.7. At this moment, they "fix" their winnings by betting on the opposite outcome with odds of 5.7. Or they use the option of selling their bet (cashout - some bookmakers have such an option), that is, they receive their winnings immediately, but less than if they wait until the end of the sporting event.
In my opinion, this is not a profitable strategy, since in this way you minimize your profit, but potentially maximize your losses - if a sporting event develops against your bet, then you lose it entirely without any compensation.

I do feel that you are just trying out to scatter or market out your TG link. Smiley

Kidding aside on which it is good that you havent taken a loan and listen out on community feedbacks and suggestions but its not really that good if you do keep on regretting just because you hadnt
able to get all in with that particular bet but still we know that profit is a profit and that what really counts.Just like on what been questioned above is that why would making out some
sharing of those insider info if those are legit?  you could just be quiet and bet out for yourself once again since you wont really be getting any benefit into this community.

I also thought that he advertises his telegram channel as he has many different topics with intriguing content. Now I doubt that the content of his topics is true and not fictional from beginning to end. If he wrote the truth, then judging by past earnings, he could pay for channel promotion without any problems and get an audience much faster and more efficiently than just adding the address of his telegram channel at the end of his next strange topic.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to gambling with money. on: July 23, 2022, 07:20:52 AM
Do you know that those who are addictive to gambling are the ones who actually want to win real money. The addiction is not about playing gambling only but the real addiction is to earn money through gambling. So if you keep this in mind, then gamblers would never agree to play with fake money. If this was the case then gamblers had a lot of option to play at other sites which are non-gambling one. No one will agree to play with fake money as per my thinking.

In general, I agree that a very small number of gamblers will be interested in playing for fake money. But I want to clarify that gambling addiction is not just about the desire to make money, it is precisely the irresistible desire to continue the game, no matter what happens. I think that if you choose people with a gambling addiction, ask them about the amount that would suit them as a "final" win (having received which they would stop playing) and give them this money, then most of them will continue to play anyway.

Verstappen, Max - 2.15
Leclerc, Charles - 2.50
Hamilton, Lewis - 8.75
Sainz Jr., Carlos - 20.10

The fact that Hamilton is quoted higher than Perez, Sainz and Russell in my opinion is unfair.

Thanks for sharing this, funny thing is I'd probably have taken Sainz at around 8/1 (knowing it's of course going to be LeClerc to take priority in any team finish) but you're right, it's not just unfair, it has to be wrong.

Hamilton more than twice as likely to win than Sainz? Am I missing something here?

Took a bet anyway, couldn't help it. I always feel once they break their duck, another win's coming soon. 21/1 for an F1 "Blackjack".

I got this explanation:

Boris i think you are missunderstanding a few things.

-Sainz change the engine and penalize.
-Perez its more strange but.... Ferrari and Red Bull anounce from this GP they are going to give team orders, so GG to Perez and Sainz they are second drivers.
-Most important Mercedes its improving so much and this its a Mercedes GP.

So if you plus all the things i said before LH can be favourite against CS and SP.

But in my opinion, it partially explains only the odds of Sainz, but does not cancel the disproportionately large odds of the first three (moreover, these odds will most likely become even less interesting for bets after the qualification). And objectively speaking, the bet you made even with the Sainz penalty looks profitable, 1 to 27 hahaha! I think that at a distance of even 20 races, Sainz has a close to 100% chance of winning at least one race.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 22, 2022, 01:35:32 PM
If it's about getting rid of gambling addiction, then I would use every opportunity to cure this disease (and gambling addiction is a disease).
Perhaps, in some cases, a change of residence can be effective.  For example, if the player lives in a northern country where it is always cold, dark, and the harsh winter lasts for many months.  There are a lot of such countries - Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Canada, etc.

The harsh climate of these countries and the lack of sunlight can provoke depression, as well as contribute to the development of gambling addiction.  Moving to a sunny country (like Italy or Spain) might solve the problem. The beautiful nature of Tuscany is made for romantic walks.

If the player walks more in the fresh air and admires the beautiful landscapes, then perhaps the painful craving for gambling will disappear from him.

An interesting idea, but don't you think that it can lead to the opposite result? After all, there is a stereotype that the inhabitants of the Southern countries are more temperamental, quick-tempered and, ultimately, more gambling. I have no scientific evidence for this stereotype (in the sense of gambling), but I think that these stereotypes did not appear from scratch, but are a reflection of the experience of many generations.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government Owned Online Casinos What Do You Think Of Its Potential on: July 22, 2022, 01:21:05 PM
Impressive to see that some other government around the world uses the same tactics as the government where I am located from several years now and from where bad or good it be I don't want to get moving again,I have created my legacy here so I am OK.The fact that the government takes a slice of every business is the same as where I live.In fact they were so massively involved in making gambling prohibited offline or online favoring clearly the brother of the Prime minister as only his website can be accessed online without VPN,all other websites that have the word "bet" in their domain are totally closed.Same with offline casinos, only the two big ones Regency and Grand are open, every body else was shut down. The two big ones are owned by deputy parliamentarians, they have big shares in them that is why they are open.

Corruption is the same all over the world. Somewhere it is allowed to grow and somewhere not. Any decision to have the state control something increases the possibility of corruption, so what is discussed in this thread has a simple answer: the government should not own any business. If this happens in a democratic country, then the abuses will be small (but they will definitely be), and if in a non-democratic country, then everything will end up with either the dictator directly or his relatives owning the business.

I think OP have won again if he finally put a bet on the pick he shared. Based on the livescore, the total score was 6, so these bets below have won.

Jaro vs Ekenas

Asian Total
Over 3 @ 2.14

1st Half - Asian Total
Over 1 @ 1.65
[/b]

Not sure what happened to OP now, but if he won for sure he will keep following the tips and enjoy the easy wins.
However, it's true that the community will not suggest you to borrow money to gamble as it will double the risk.

As I understood from the start message, this result was meant as "guaranteed"? How can this be proven? The odds are quite modest - in almost half of the cases, the better will guess such an outcome without any prompts. In addition, if the "prediction" turned out to be unsuccessful, then you can simply delete the thread and, given the small number of commenters, few people will see it. I'm not saying that the OP would have done that, but the possibility exists nonetheless.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: July 22, 2022, 06:27:48 AM
I continue to follow the quotes of the riders, but yesterday I mixed up the thread and accidentally wrote down my observations not here, so I'll copy it:

There are still 3 whole days before the race, it is still unclear how the free practice and qualification will go, but the bookmakers see Verstappen as a clear favorite again:

Verstappen, Max - 2.15
Leclerc, Charles - 2.50
Hamilton, Lewis - 8.75
Perez, Sergio - 12.90
Russell, George - 15.90
Sainz Jr., Carlos - 20.10

It turns out that if he wins the pole position or starts from the first line, then the odds of him winning will be around 1.6 again (absolutely uninteresting for betting). The fact that Hamilton is quoted higher than Perez, Sainz and Russell in my opinion is unfair.

472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: July 21, 2022, 03:19:00 PM
It doesn't matter how big your final bet is with Martingale, you get your initial bet back, that's it.

That is the summary of what I said in my previous post, but what surprises me is that, despite the fact that what we are talking about has been known for 3 centuries, there are still many people who believe that it is a good strategy. If I were a casino owner or had invested in casino bankrolls as I did some time ago, I would be very happy to see how people are self-deluded to explain to themselves that martingale and its variants are good strategies.
...//...:::
Hi,  Smiley
It's a strategy! and mathematically it works, there is no doubt about that,  is it?

Note that I started my thread with the phrase you quote, it is simple and concise, that is, I do not support its use, nor do I say no.

This strategy can be efficient, effective, good or bad, it depends on each person, it is what I try to explain in the rest of my idea.
-skip-

It all depends on what you mean by the word "works". If you mean that, on average, players who use this strategy lose money, then yes, it works (for the benefit of casino owners). Why do you say that the effectiveness of the strategy depends on the person? If this is a real strategy and not a set of misconceptions, then it should work the same for everyone. In addition, it can be formalized and used without a person at all, but with the help of some kind of automation. And by the way, Martingale has already been tested both by individuals and with the help of automation - it does not work.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Women's Euro 2022 on: July 21, 2022, 12:59:30 PM
So, I managed to predict that game will go to extra time. Agree with @Rruchi man, focusing on defense didn't helped for Spain, I think that England played slightly better today. Spain struggled to create something dangerous, especially in extra time after conceding goal. Stanway's goal was amazing, though, if it would be mens football, goalkeeper most likely would have saved it.
Next 1/4 final is Germany - Austria. Honestly, it's diffiuclt to expect something unexpected there.

Despite the fact that the favorites won now it is difficult to say that England looked stronger than Spain, especially in the first half of the game Spain completely controlled its course and it was completely logical that they took the lead at the beginning of the second half. I would say that the fact that England bounced back looked very illogical (in terms of useful actions, they remained far behind). Predicting such a result of the main time (and not just guessing it) is very unlikely.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on Psychology & Sociology Perspectives. on: July 21, 2022, 10:38:53 AM
this does sound funny but what do you do if it turns out that your culture requires you to play gambling?
I will follow that because that is the culture that requires me to play gambling. But I will always remember that I do not have to use too much money because that is the only requirement for my culture. And if that is enough, I will stop it as soon as possible and will not try to gamble for more because I know the risk of playing gambling for too long. Although that is a culture, we have our decision to stop and not risk more money to fill our satisfaction because we do not want to be addicted to gambling.

Are you seriously? I did not think that the influence of culture is so great. And in general, it seems to me that if culture exists at the macro level, then for each individual (at the micro level) culture (as a kind of average value) does not matter. And besides, in our time, when thanks to the internet, the influence of local cultures is very weakened, it is strange to assume that it can have such an influence.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 5/07/22 on: July 20, 2022, 02:39:32 PM
Missed a great opp yesterday I believe with Hibernians getting a home win, think the odds were 7/1 if I remember correctly. Today's few games are very tight, I'd stay away as they're all touch and go odds wise around 2/1.

But tomorrow we have some interesting prospects:
Liepeja are 136/10 against Young Boys (though the Swiss did last beat United in UCL haha).
Lincoln Red Imps are 9/1 against Tobol Kostanay
FC Milsami 10/1 against Kuopion Palloseura

I've already put down bets on the first 2, tomorrow another =)

136/10 means 13,6 odds?
At the moment there is an opportunity to bet on Liepaja with odds of 15 (on stake.com) and 12 on Milsami. You must have been a bit hasty as their quotes continue to fall. By the way, the bet on Liepaja looks tempting because they play at home and the odds are huge, but why Lincoln Red Imps and Milsami? They play away.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People are not only gambling to win but they are buying entertainment on: July 20, 2022, 02:04:19 PM
This is easy to believe because even among those who play for money there are many players who have never withdrawn money, hahaha. But at the same time, they continue to play allegedly in order to earn money and deny that they are addicted to gambling. I act like you (I use the money I win for the next game), but if suddenly I win a really big amount, I will withdraw it.
So far what I have observed from gambling places is that no one puts their money in a gambling place for a long time, all profit results will usually always immediately make a withdrawal to secure the profits that have been obtained, because I think there is a theory that this online gambling place can know the history of all the profits that you have earned so that the possibility of the script can change your pattern to always get a loss so that all the profits you have earned will run out again, it is better when you get a profit then you get out of the gambling place and if you want to enter again then you have to create a new account so that your data is not detected by the system that knows that you have already made a lot of profit from this gambling place.

Wow! I heard of such a superstition, but did not think that it had such far-reaching consequences. In my opinion, the casino will never use such scripts because it does not play against individual players, but against the entire population of players, and the fact that an individual player is in the black does not mean anything - the main thing is that all players in total be in the red. And if each player is driven into a minus, then it will scare away all the players. While the presence of lucky players is good advertising and attracts new players.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 20, 2022, 01:13:00 PM
Based on the previous fight, here's the figure.

Quote
According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Alvarez would earn an official purse of $5 million and Golovkin was to make a $4 million purse. It was reported with profits of the PPV, Alvarez would potentially earn around $40 million and Golovkin could earn $30 million.[50]

source

So now we have an idea how much they will make, and since it's a trilogy, I expect that it will earn a bigger amount compared to the last fight.

Solid numbers. It also seems to me that taking into account all the factors (the public's thirst for "big" fights after the pandemic, inflation, the history of this confrontation, and even the recent defeat of Alvarez), boxers will earn more than in the second fight. Hopefully Golovkin wins in the early rounds with a "surprise" knockout (allowing Alvarez's team to question the consistency of the result) and there's a chance we'll see a 4th fight in this showdown. If Golovkin loses one way or another, this will be the last fight.

479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: July 19, 2022, 08:45:00 PM
Actually there is no difference between manual gambling and bots, the difference thing is maybe just to save time, nothing more. We can use bots only to replace us so we don't spend too much time in front of the PC / cellphone for betting. For profitable, there is no evidence that can guarantee that using bots will definitely win and profit. This is not a definite investment that will always profit, gambling is gambling, there is no need to expect to win every day with bots. Loss and Win will come together. and where you are lucky enough, so you can get more win than lose.

If we are talking about a casino, then this is true. But if we are talking about betting, then it seems to me that there may be profitable bots that, by the way, can do what a person cannot. For example, a person cannot track live odds from 4-5 bookmakers and notice the slightest opportunities to make a guaranteed bet, but a bot (of course, if you manage to create one) will be able to do it. I don't know if anyone has been able to put this into practice, but this idea seems real to me.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 19, 2022, 08:15:38 PM
I knew of one case where 2 lower division clubs in Georgia were caught for match-fixing. These clubs were fined only $3k each. That's all the punishment. At the same time no one knows how much money they were able to earn through dishonest means. Therefore, such games will occur often, because the punishment is too weak.

Strange punishment. Probably this case remained at the "local" level because any sports federation would have issued a tougher punishment for the clubs that were caught on fixed games. Maybe it was some kind of scandal without direct evidence, so the clubs were fined on some formal pretext, but the underlying crime was not proven. However, it is obvious that the smaller the level of competition, the more chaos, corruption and dirty deeds.
