POSITIVES: limited supply, greatest market cap, more and more adoption including futures traders
NEGATIVES: expensive to transfer, slow transactions, overloaded network

I cannot really understand why so many talks about Bitcoin Gold. This fork don’t show high results. Of course it is stable but this is not a benefit at the time when Bitcoin itself are making price records. Many people can't afford a full bitcoin. Bitcoin Gold with its GPU mining will be the next big thing. Right now prices are a bit low for profitable mining. But as soon as price starts to rise and become stable. BTG will be one of the coins of choice. The team is really putting in great efforts to see this coin thru. More and More exchanges are adding it and in a few days will be added to one of the biggest Asian exchanges. Keep doubting BTG and miss out! this is good news about the addition to more exchanges. I have to say though the price is very stable for the last week or two, hovering between $250 and $320. The main thing is that is has not tanked and is showing some resilience and support. This is all good foundation work for 2018. |

Not really surprising. Crypto in its entirity is going through significant growth, which is of course something governments want to exploit due to their hunger for tax income and control. All people being fully verified at whatever exchange or service are exposed to this risk, it's that simple. Coinbase has been subject to a similar governmental attack, but they at least managed to minimize the amount of data they had to hand over to the authorities. Decentralized exchanges are available already, but they lack actual usage and convenience, which makes people always fall back on centralized exchanges. If governments don't charge people absurdly high tax rates, people would be far more open to pay tax out of free will rather than being forced to do so.
Regarding tax and India, out of billion + population only 1.5% pay tax. People are manipulating their incomes to escape taxes. In such a situation, government needs to take action. Regarding cryptocurrencies, Indian government and central bank have been wary of bitcoin for a long time now. Where central bank is warning people, government is calling bitcoin illegal. In such a situation, this IT raid was something expected and I hope exchanges will be able to maintain users privacy. only 1.5% paying tax is a farce, how can a country expect to function properly with such low revenues? India really seems to br starting a war against Bitcoin and crypto with these extreme actions. can we expect to see "tax requests and collections" across the world as crypto takes more of a hold i wonder? |

DONE, I traded all my LTC and ETH to Bitcoin BTC, ETH and LTC all have their own merits, positives and negatives so I think the best advice is to hodl 2 or more currencies/coins/tokens and not to throw everything into the single basket. |

Well the last coin is supposed to be mined sometime in 2140 an I'm fairly certain that bitcoin will not be around by then. Who knows what sort of world we will be living in, in 2140. So whenever this question is asked, my go-to response is that it's useless to think about it, since no one knows what 2140 will be like.

what we need to realise is that 1BTC today is still the same single bitcoin mined in 2010.
to me the current mindset among crypto people is really about $'s but it is based on how much BTC i can get for my $,
its a bit like chicken and egg, we are so focused on the $ price of BTC purely because most of us have to buy it.
i'm sure miners or people who earn solely through BTC dont worry too much about the day to day value because 1BTC is always 1BTC
