462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Satoshi Scheme on: February 05, 2018, 06:48:47 PM
Did Satoshi Nakamoto finally decide to sell off a little part of his Bitcoins tanking the whole market in the proccess?

Nope.

If you check the BTC daily market volume...the past week average is much lower than the past several weeks.  If that is true, he would have done it when the volume (and price) was 2x Wink

Since I am relatively new, I watch it all and learn from it...good and bad times have something to teach us.  Wink
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Icon ICX mainnet launch successful! on: February 05, 2018, 02:58:55 PM
It's on sale and can't resist to convert some of my BTC to ICX today Cheesy

See if my gamble pays off in a few months.

$3.31 USD (-30.36%)
0.00044398 BTC (-19.05%)
0.00452528 ETH (-16.12%)
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the reason for this bitcoin bleeding? on: February 02, 2018, 02:41:12 PM
I lost too much money due to this btc dip, What is the reason of this dip? Will it recover soon?

FUDers. Wink

Whales are accumulating, just watch the trade amount.  As soon as they got their fill, watch it skyrocket to a new ATH.

Remember the JPMorgan FUD late last year?  They bought hundreds of millions worth of BTC at a discount shortly after that.  Same is happening now, businesses are poised to use crypto and they are investing but at low price.  With enough money, you can manipulate the market and make money off weak handed investors.  Sad fact or life.

HODL!!!
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are you buying now? on: February 02, 2018, 02:35:44 PM
Looks like this are turning around....what are you buying low?

I buy bitcoin and ethereum, because this time again in a price reduction, it will be an exciting opportunity to buy coins and hold it for a while and then earn a profit.

Same here.  I buy as funds permit and waiting for the coming rebound.  Also, most of these purchase will eventually be used for upcoming ICOs. Smiley
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did I diversify too much? on: February 01, 2018, 11:59:16 PM
I have 35 coins and I want more. Wink

I agree. Buying altcoins in exchangers is really addictive that makes me think I wish I have plenty of money to buy some more but then reality will hit you after a few seconds that you don't have buying power anymore  Grin

As for OP, I think you didn't diversify too much but I think you need to buy more ETH if you don't like adding more BTC on your portfolio.

so true...
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did I diversify too much? on: February 01, 2018, 10:56:09 PM
It will depend on the way you want to invest , i would never hold less then 10% of my portfolio in a coin . Because i think you won't get enough gains even if it moons. If you like that many project i think it is time to pick the best out of them and take a bigger position in it. But if you like to hold small amounts of really high risk coins it can be worth it i guess.

Even if you have more than $100,000 invested???

It's even more important if you have invested more than 100K!

Example - ARY (Block Array) is now listed on Kucoin and this is the first coin UNDER the ICO price there. What will happen if you follow the mass trend and goes all in there or with 50%?!
LOL   You said no less than 10%...that means equal or more than 10%.  50% & 100% is in that group.  So using that ARY example, you are saying you are wrong then?
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did I diversify too much? on: February 01, 2018, 03:24:37 AM
Only if you feel that way.  I have 35 coins and I want more. Wink
really?35 coins on your portfolio?awesome can you share how much you put in each of everyone so we can find more detailed basis for investment, coz i only have 6 on mine and so far don't find putting another again..but i dont know what will happen for the future as the market now is flowing with blood..

Regarding to OPs concern,i guess thats fine, though you put alot in litecoin for me better to lessen the coin and add in bitcoin maybe.
I did not start with that many coins.  Normally, I try to put about $500 on each coin.  Several times that if I really like it.  Once it multiplied to 3-5x, I "harvest" half which is my initial investment plus some income.  I mostly leave the coin alone at that point unless I lost faith on it then it will be cashed out/sold completely.  There are a few coins I really like, those are not sold until they reach the projected goal.

Whatever I take out is re-invested buying another coin.  By doing this repeatedly, you accumulate coins over time.

No one knows the future, but if you invested on coins you thoroughly researched, it lessens the worry.  This month, I lost 60% of my portfolio value at one point (only 40% value left).  I was sad but not scared.  Today, I am still just 60% of my ATH but I know better days are coming and I will be seeing new ATH soon.

Positive outlook always helps. Wink

Hard to give predictions right now but I am holding this coin for since mid December
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Advise on "Where to Start" for newbies on: January 31, 2018, 09:58:23 PM
i would say another important thing, DO NOT OVER-TRADE, i lost so much changing coins while if i had hold for a couple of months i would have got the same gains or more, get a decent coin, set up the targets and wait!

besides over trade, the first rule of trading is Don't Be Greedy
make a little profit with consistency is better than make a huge profit in one day after that you lose your money in the next days
This could be one of the best advises ever and deserves to take its place in the first post.

Never ever wait for additional 1% price change if you already decided to enter into or to quit the trade, set limits and stop losses, otherwise everything can end up with higher loss, or of course higher profit.. but you would never know.

GREED gets most of us one way or another.

Develop a good plan and stick to it. Wink
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which alt coin will gain most value in 2018 on: January 31, 2018, 09:42:35 PM
Too many to list all...

KNC, ELF, XMR, REQ, BNB, ENG, XRB, WTC, PRL, OCN, DBC, QSP, GRGN, UTK, QLC, TEL, KCS ,....
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which alt coin will gain most value in 2018 on: January 31, 2018, 09:39:02 PM
BTC and ETH

I know they are already expensive but many still believe they will out perform most coins this year. Smiley
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2 Ethereum or 15 NEO for long term on: January 31, 2018, 07:49:14 PM
I will preferred to go with ethereum than going with NEO. I don't have any bad feelings for NEO anyway or I will choose to go for the two but I don't know if NEO network can contain the presure when the jungle matured

True but if the claims are correct...

Speed

At present, NEO can handle 10,000 transactions per second.
Ethereum can handle 15 transactions per second.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Advise on "Where to Start" for newbies on: January 31, 2018, 07:35:43 PM
Well written friend, I don't have many merits but this post deserves one imo. Btw stop giving away all the good advice jk Grin (the 2FA is most important and it is often overlooked, it never should be)

Thanks!!!

I wonder how many gone through (self inflicted) problems because they did not save their 2FA key though.  The horror of damaged, stolen, or lost cellphone if that happens.  Shocked
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did I diversify too much? on: January 31, 2018, 07:17:15 PM
I don't think there is a thing as diversifying too much but you can diversifying too thin if those are the same things. Anyways I would argue that you could diversify more with more coins and have a smaller range from top to bottom, other than that I don't mind your selections. Make the range tighter though, that should help your results some.

I love that...I am stealing it (hope you don't mind) Cheesy .

Many seem to think that everyone have the same amount of investment.  IMHO, having 10 coins with $1,000 investment is too thin...but with $20,000, it is fine.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Kyber Network on: January 31, 2018, 07:03:35 PM
I am excited about this coin also...glad I caught it when it was still $1.05 and kept it Smiley
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cindicator (CND) 100x coin on: January 31, 2018, 06:32:32 PM
Finally decided to click on a thread that said Cindicator, and then when someone said Palm Beach Group I just lost all my appetite, haha. I can't believe I still remember the name Teeka Tiwari (or however it's spelled). But then PBG keeps spamming me so I guess their tactic works.

All the same, the chart made me sit up cause had no idea Gnosis had grown so much. Working product, does that mean there is a place to show performance by all traders using it? Can someone point me a link?

Sadly this is true.  I used to respect PBC...now it is synonymous to glorified Pump and Dump.  Exact same reason why I dumped my CND shortly after.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cindicator (CND) 100x coin on: January 31, 2018, 06:21:43 PM
Cindicator is a really good and useful application. but i dont think cnd can go so up from this point. I ve already sold them around 0.25 usd. if it drops around 0.1 usd i may buy again but i dont think this price is enough cheap to buy.

Like you, I sold at $0.2259...missed the ATH but high enough since I bought in at $0.02376 Cheesy

Good project but I believe there are more promising coins (return wise) out there. Smiley
