461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Evolution of currencies on: April 30, 2018, 03:16:24 AM
Currency is not a power nor an energy. A currency does not need to have special ability or uses. It is just the medium of exchange. It is not essential to have other uses of a currency. It is the currency that make someone powerful or energetic. Just like oxygen, it doesn't burn but without it, you can't burn.
My mind can't absorb what the OP really wants to convey about the wasting of energy in currency. I don't think it has a connection between of it. It is applicable nowadays. We are using energy just to open our reuters and PC because our money is now digital. We consume a lot of energy in mining and trading just for a transaction to accomplish. But I can't see the point of wasting energy using fiat currency. I hope the OP will  elaborate it to us.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippines Legalizes Cryptocurrency Exchanges in Economic Zone on: April 28, 2018, 10:12:45 PM
This is just the beginning on how Philippines will open the country for the innovation of technology. I am glad that the present administration are not blind to the effect of cryptocurrency in economy. The good thing here is that, even there are numerous scam news in our country, the government did not ban the cryptocurrency instead, they slowly legalize the cryptocurrency.
I hope that the legalization for cryptocurrency will continue and all of bitcoin scam will eliminate in our country. Scammers are the one who destroy the reputation of bitcoin.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life experience paying with bitcoin on: April 26, 2018, 01:38:30 PM
There are some instances that we can't avoid mistakes and failure using technology but instead of being disappointed with bitcoin, we should be more positive about it because we can now experience using digital currency in real life.
I think the cahier in that firm is not yet oriented in using QR-code or he/she doesn't know how to solve these kind of troubleshoot. However, I don't think it is a reason why that firm will suddenly stopped accepting bitcoins. In fact, they must organize their management and services more in order for them to attract customers.
464  Economy / Economics / Re: Stanford University Business Full-Time Cryptocurrency Course on: April 26, 2018, 02:33:30 AM
Well that's not only the university of Stanford that's been doing this there are many more institutions that are providing workshops for cryptocurrencies related stuff and giving suitable certificates to the people who are attending it .
That's showing how bitcoins is been accepted both professionally and educationally, Stanford is a big name and I think this will help tighten the grip of cryptocurrencies over the market.
Cambridge University have also acquired blockchain technology courses. It means that many college/universities all over the world are now accepting blockchain technology as part of their curriculum. I hope that my country will also integrate these courses in my field specially in business and financial management. It is good if the study in blockchain technology will become a minor subjecy in all colleges in the world.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the market red on: April 25, 2018, 10:47:53 PM
Bad news: today's hack in SmartMesh smart-contract and yesterday's MEW DNS-hack are the main reasons of today's crypto dump
https://cointelegraph.com/news/multiple-exchanges-suspend-erc20-token-trading-due-to-potential-batchoverflow-bug
Here is the news that tackles about the suspention of different exchanges such Poloniex to the ERC20-token trading. The worst thing, there are wallets that have been hacked yesterday and I think MyEtherWallet is not safe right now. For sure, a lot of traders are disappointed to MEW even I. It is good if their service will be backed with just a few days because I want to sell my coins.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17 million Bitcoins in circulation in 3.. 2.. 1.. on: April 25, 2018, 10:01:50 PM
17,000,000 Bitcoins in circulation thread

We are getting closer and closer to reaching 17 million Bitcoins in circulation. It will take a lot of time till next milestone of 18 million coins so I decided to eternalize the moment.

I played with some numbers from https://blockchain.info/charts/total-bitcoins?timespan=30days and I predict that there will be 17,000,000 Bitcoins in circulation on:

Wednesday April 25, 2018 08:40:38 (am) UTC time (forum time) (Unix time=1524645638)

Let's see how accurate is my prediction Smiley
There are 21M of bitcoins and17M of it are just mined. No matter when it will happen (this year), we cannot stop the way bitcoins mined. Bitcoin destined to be mined, used and circulate in our economy.
Way back 2009 when the first bitcoins were mine and right now, almost 17M were already curculated in the world. Only 4M left in the supply and I think it will become difficult for the miners of BTC to mine in the next years.

Bidium Pre-ICO officially closed

The Bidium Pre-ICO sale is now officially closed. During the Pre-ICO phase, Over 61643737 BIDM tokens were sold and more than $500,000 was raised!

The main ICO sale is scheduled for May. The Whitelist/KYC  process would begin soon.

Join the Conversation on the Bidium Telegram community channel. Goto: https://t.me/Bidium

I've seen a beautiful news today! I never thought that bidium pre-ICO was successful but they need more lots of coin in order to reach their hardcap.
All people who have invested here in bidium are wise. They know how to select a good ICO. But remember, this is not the end of bidium instead, the game is just started!

P.S. why the price did not move up? Is it unfair with the early investors who participated in pre-ICO?
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ten years later on: April 25, 2018, 01:35:51 PM
The value affects the price, and I'm going to analyze the value of the decade.

To understand the value of bitcoin, we start with the basic value of money, which is also money.

Money is the most common and effective mutual trust system ever. In any form of currency, its value is essentially: "does anyone believe" why the dollar is the most valuable? Because the world believes in it.

The popularity of bitcoin has grown rapidly in recent years with the development of the Internet. I predict that the price of bitcoins in 10 years should be more than half a million dollars.
Hm. I think it is an ambitious prediction yet I support your idea because it might be happen since dollars aree getting low and cryptocurrency is moving up.
I want it to be a half million dollars but I think it may cause a problem in our economy. Inflation may occur and bitcoin's value may devaluate anytime if its price reach the peak. For me, I am contented with the price of bitcoin right now. Atleast it will range up to $2000-$10000.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: Are all cryptocurrencies destined to be store of value in the end? on: April 25, 2018, 05:02:06 AM
The real purpose of bitcoin fades right now. Essentially, bitcoin is made to become a medium of transaction. But as what happening today, bitcoin becomes the storage of value rather than to use it as a currency. Bitcoin can never be a daily mode of payment due to the reason that it has scalability and volatility. And I think the OP is right because until the end, we can't say that bitcoin will become a global currency that can use in daily exchange.
470  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain and AI will improve the world economy on: April 24, 2018, 11:08:44 PM
Since 2009 up to now, we can see how bitcoin revolutionized the economy. Our century is filled of innovation. Almost everytime, we will notice every changes that create using technology. One of this changes are blockchain and AI, both of these changes are really amazing. There are unstoppable growth of commercial and industry projects because of blockchain and AI is already integrated in work, leisure or everything. Technology becomes part of our life, as time goes by, human unlocks the darkness of life.

Look at this article guys, see how we need a real bidding marketplace that is different on existing online shop. Users are incapable to hide their privacy and identity because Amazon's wanted to gather every bitcoin user data. This is a real problem we will encounter if Bidium will not launch. That's why I encourage you to participate at their token sale because we need a decentralized marketplace.
This news is unfavor with the people. One thing that we want in cryptocurrency is the decentralization. We are encourage to be part of this community because we want an anonymous and transparent transaction. For those people who do not meet bidium, we can share it to them so that we are just the one who will participate in their token sale but we can persuade them to alter their mind and perspective in crypto industry specially, in bidium.
Yeah, I am willing to participate with this project either in bounty or in token sale because I am a freelancer also. As a freelancer, we need an online marketplace where we can make efficiently our work and hassle free when it comes in transacting our clients. I believe that we need bidium right now and as a crypto enthusiasts, we should help this project to success!
472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 0.03 BTC to 3 BTC Challenge on: April 23, 2018, 01:08:54 PM
Hey all, I'm going to start this challenge of turning 0.03 BTC to 3 BTC. I have no idea if I can accomplish this, but I'll be sharing my progress daily with you. If I somehow can do this, it'll prove that anyone can make money in trading as long as you are dedicated and put in the time and work.

I'll also be posting some of my trades during the challenge on Twitter (in my signature), so catch you there too! Hopefully I don't go broke in a few days Cheesy

What coins am I holding?

I rarely hold a coin longer than a few days, so I don't find it helpful to post here. I do however post all my trades on Twitter so if you want to know, catch me there! If I really like a trade, I'll post it here. For example, the BCH and XLM trade.

Portfolio Status (Updated Daily)
November - 0.082 BTC
December - 0.55 BTC
Hm. Is it real? Well, I want it also try to challenge myself to have profits in trading using just a few value of coins. It might happen right now because the market is green but you can't estimate when will you gain based from your coins. I am looking from the coins you've hold and it is good if you listed here in thread. Thanks a lot.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TIPS to be come victorious in bitcoin on: April 23, 2018, 08:06:56 AM
My suggestion to everyone would be to be calmed, don't be greedy, have a patience in everything. Success will definitely touch your feet, never ever quit. Bitcoin's price is always volatile, as we see it's dump price and the market is red, never lose hope.

Always remember this one " He who quits does not succeed, he who succeeds does not quit".
"When there are times you want to quit, remember the reason why you are started."
We are always want to become successful but we can't wait. A lot of people fail to achieve their goals because they don't have patience. Essentially, we lose because our enthussiasm to do our best until the end is not constant. We just determine to start things but when we feel that nothings happen to our hardwork, we always want to quit. Remember, Success is not instant. If we our determine to attain our objectives no matter how it is hard or long, whether we have sleepless nights, whether we spend a lot of time, because we are determine, we always meet our success.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: BIDIUM: The Best Service Around - Join Whitelist Today on: April 23, 2018, 04:01:53 AM
I just watched Bidium's official video on YouTube and it somehow boggled me whether Bidium is an exchange or an auction or a sort of Hiring center ala LinkedIn?  I mean, why facilitate 3 different industries under one platform? I'm a bit lost, really.
I think you need to read the whitepaper of Bidium in order for your confusion to be cleared. Bidium is a bidding marketplace for hiring freelance. It is bidding in a sense that the freelancer will sell their product and services through an auction. Simple platform but it really helps a lot for the clients to find a better work and outcomes that they want to be.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Had a talk with my son today about my bitcoins on: April 21, 2018, 01:45:42 PM
I sat my 7yr old son down and showed him my ledger nano and how to use it in case anything ever happens to me.
I explained there is electronic money on it and it will be his one day. Went through the process of wiping it and restoring with the seed. But reminded him never ever tell anyone about it is our secret.

He's a smart kid and was amazed at how it's secured by an extremely complex code and that no one can steal the money you can take it anywhere and it's safer than a bank because the ledger is a bank itself (i know that's not quite correct but still). I didn't tell him how much are on there but told him one day it will be extremely valuable that's why I'm telling him about it is for him when he grows up.

Later that day we talked about how to secure the seed and printing it on a metal plate. He thinks it is so cool.

It amazed me how a child instantly understood it and showed how cryptos are for the future generations not us. We are early adopters so buy at least 1 bitcoin for your kids. Just might set them up for life.
It is good to see how a little child is interesting about nano ledger. It seems like he was curious about cryptocurrency and it is a good choice that you let him to know about this stuff. As a parent, we should let our childrens to be aware about this, we must teach on how to use cryptocurrency in order for them not to become an ignorant someday. But we need to control them, we must control our facts and lesson for them in crypto because they should learn it in gradual process. Everything takes time and we must wait till there's an opportunity to say it to them.
476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason people do not want to invest in crypto on: April 21, 2018, 01:08:25 PM
The only reason why people do not want to invest in cryptk is the ignorance. All of the factors you've listed is the root of ignorance. If all people are aware on how cryptocurrency works and what will be the boon and bane of crypto in the economy and individual then we are not fear to lend our money to it.
If we have knowledge about scam and legitimate ICO then there will be no scammers around. We are all able to invest in crypto without hessitating that our money will lose.

478  Economy / Economics / Re: The EU wants transparency on Cryptocurrencies on: April 20, 2018, 06:23:50 AM
Lol. Hypocrisy indeed. We’re against terrorism, but we’re not against American bombing. We’re humanitarian advocates, but we don’t accept refugees. We love children, but most child abuses are from Europeans.

It is more of political thing what I’m talking about, but I’m just stating that anonymity is not even the cause of all this money laundering and funding of terrorism. Ask Soros he knows how to do it without hiding.

This is insanely against the standard of freedom, it’s prone to corruption by which our identity can be used for reason like kidnap for ransom, I know you have billions of bitcoin EU parliamentary leak/exposed it.
Decentralization will null if the government will maneuver the cryptocurrency. At some point, they are correct because anti-money laundering and tax evasion can track by the government and terrorism may prevent specially, now that crypto is used in criminalities. But I think the new regulation of the government is not newly in our eyes, KYC and tax. The old times that we are happy in cryptocurrency will change by our disappointment due to the care of central authority.
479  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoin trading signals on: April 19, 2018, 07:06:33 AM
Hello guys, I'm a new trader.I can't read Trade signals. So how to get Altcoin trading signals and altcoin news ?? which site/group/telegram channels best for info...??

I have learned lot from these links and sites so I hope it would be a great help for you as well. Just remember that you can get an idea from them about what coin to trade or what strategy to use but you alone can decide if you follow it and then you will only be able to control your emotions if you trade as often as possible. You can learn more in losing than in winning or earning profits so that do not be frustrated if you are losing. You can eventually develop a strategy to be profitable.

Oh! This is nice! I want also to views these different sites because I don't have any idea about the depth of trading. Hopefully, I can catch up this easily. Trading is a big deal for me because it is not easy as what others think off. I want first to gather data before I will start to trade in order for me not to have a great loss.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: technical or fundamental ? on: April 18, 2018, 09:31:22 PM
I think prices move basically by the control of fundamentals. Fundamental analysis includes news which is also called as part of fuds. They are very important movers of the market and affects or improves the market very well.
There is so called "Hype" for fundamental analysis which maneuver  the prices of bitcoin. Hence, there are FUD news that spread during bull run market in order to  have a panic selling which definitely cause to dump.
Technical Analysis is just forecasting the price with a various gathering tools using the history of trade and I think it does not matter the price at all.
