461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Scammed or did I mess up my ERC20 wallet? on: January 14, 2021, 07:06:38 PM
Why you need to trust someone from telegram and do you really think that they came to help you? Nope! They just want to trick and make some money and this is their full time job so just take this as lesson for life and never do the same mistake again.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: The sale of the COVID-19 vaccine on the dark web continues. on: January 14, 2021, 06:14:08 PM
Maybe people from the countries where covid cases are constantly rising are purchasing those vaccines due to the loss of their life just for a few hundred dollars. Of course, governments are going to give it for free but for someone who is in need may not be on the priority list of the government so if he got the money then he maybe bought from someone who is saying that they got the effective vaccine.

For anyone interested, here in Brisbane it was a cloudless day, not overly hot day, but tonight (it's after eleven local time) it's very hot and humid. There's a severe storm forecast for Sunday. Originally storms Saturday evening through late Sunday, but now just Sunday.  If it keeps being this hot and cloudless, then it'll be a corker of a downpour (brief, but heavy).

Together with the number of players injuring themselves and the storm having the potential to delay things (and both teams in Covid lockdown in the same hotel (think late night revelry)), I'm seeing the fourth test being a draw. (Even if Warner stops mucking about and starts playing)
It funny t watch some news that Indian team is waiting to create a history in Brisbane but they don't even know how many players were injured in the playing squad and actually have to go with all the remaining players just to meet the 11 eligible players. Cheesy
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We must perform the forbidden ritual to end the Altcoin Winter on: January 14, 2021, 02:19:45 PM
Enthusiast and Shiller there is big difference between both of these terms, if you are an altcoin believe then start to advertise via any platform you have to reach out more people which may help new people coming into that currency.

In practice it is really possible?
465  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wait for the dump on: January 14, 2021, 01:26:26 PM
Bitcoin is dumping!! Is this going to a repeat of 2017? Remember what happened in March when covid hit? The second wave is here and btc has been pumping despite that. What do you guys think? $100k still happening this year?
There is a difference between dump and the correction, in my opinion, I feel only we see the correction on bitcoin prices just because some of the investors are cashing out in this bull run to make some profits, but the prices didn't go below 30K which is a good sign that we have strong support at that level. Now bitcoin is back into 39K region which means the bull run is still on.
466  Economy / Economics / Re: Out of Reach on: January 13, 2021, 05:20:24 PM
My understanding was that the target for the minimum amount of Bitcoin which most
people wanted to own was/is 1BTC in our current bull market that target becomes
more out of reach for the people who most need it.

As an investment Bitcoin is a very friendly  asset for the nit so wealthy classes. There
is no minimum purchase amount and each and every one of us gets to hold our investment
if we want.

We all like to see Bitcoin rise in value and increase in adoption but its pushing it away from
the people who need it and into the people who control large portions of wealth.

A bit of a conundrum...
The actual maximum value of bitcoin is only 21 million so it is not possible for everyone in the world to reach such an amount into the investment portfolio and bitcoin was also not created for the purpose of creating financial equality in the world. But one who invests the money which they have in their hand will be happy with the returns they can make in the next 10 years.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 13, 2021, 03:55:21 PM
@Vishnu.Reang Win the toss and bat first, anyone heard anything on weather forecast?

As per the weather prediction, first day will be largely sunny and clear. But for the remaining 4 days, heavy rains are predicted. Expect a loss of at least 150-200 overs as a result of rain. That means unless there is a batting collapse effecting one of the sides, the chance of getting a result from the fourth match is very minimal. BTW, January is the wettest month of the year, in Brisbane and the surrounding areas. CA scheduled the match there, only due to the ongoing pandemic.
Hope this will be beneficial for the team India and save them from the loss because they already lost too many key players so they are in need some kind of luck to draw this serious so they won't get much criticism from Indian fans. Cheesy
468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you day trade with bitcoin these days while it is full of stress? on: January 13, 2021, 12:58:06 PM
I don't know why most people enjoy the heavy rise of bitcoin while it is only good for long term holders. How long do they want to hold? Forever? They have to sell at some point and exit the market. For day traders like me, expensive bitcoin is not attractive at all because it not only reduces my profit, it also increases my stress.

I have to buy at $40.000 and sell at $40.200 to gain daily profit (This is an example). This is much less profitable than when I used to buy at $8000 and sell at $8200 the same day. Apart from this, whenever I buy at $40.000, I am worried about a big crash right around the corner because the prices are too high now.

How do you cope with this situation as a day trader? Do you dare to buy $40K bitcoin for short term trading?

Day trading is a serious job because you can make mkre profits as well as get rekt at the sane day itself, if you are worried too much about the price swings then I won't recommend the day trading for you, just go for short term or longer term trading where you can use stop loss to reduce huge loss if it happens.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best / Latest website with a list of all altcoins, and review for each on: January 13, 2021, 05:16:41 AM
Hi folks,

Are there any reliable altcoin review websites out there that list all the available altcoins, and review based on # developers, ownership level, technology, etc...?

Most of the sites I see these days seem to be scammer/ad-affiliated and trying to sell their own coin (like bitdegree.org)

thanks
You can use the coin tracking websites to find the new altcoins in the market but why reviews? Basically, any review website could be an affiliated one because this is just a business and also there are lot of individual reviews available that can't be considered as investment advice which also mentioned by the creators itself.

~snip~
Speaking of fitness, Bumrah might miss the Brisbane test due to abdominal strain. Team management don't want to risk him as England tour is coming up. Jadeja already ruled out of Brisbane test, including first 2 test against England.

Next team selection is going to be very easy.. Ravi Shastri and Rahane might tell " You all are playing" that's it.  Grin

That's my team for last game.

Rohit
Gill
Pujara
Rahane
Mayank (He should bat at number 5 as he's not in good touch)
Pant (He should do the WK because of team balance)
Ashwin
Shardul Thakur ( Ashwin and Shardul can make up for another batsmen as both know thing or two about batting)
Saini
Siraj
Natarajan (Debut)

Going with 5 bowler combination because Ashwin need some rest as well for England's series. Jadeja is already out so you don't want to exhaust another key bowler.

** In case Pant is not fit to keep then Saha should get in the team as WK, Pant would play as specialist batsman and no debut for Natarajan.

If by any chance India facing more injuries then they should borrow Marnus and Strac from the Aussie. Tongue Grin

Too much of injuries in very short time period, don't know how many of them will return to their dressing room again because we had seen lots of stories in cricket history that once injured then they never got room in the playing XI.  Bowling is the key of winning a test match so they can't afford to lose any more bowlers and it should be another lucky opportunity for Natrajan.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 10, 2021, 09:05:15 AM
Looks possible but the 5th day is going to be a real battle for batting. Is there any chance of Rain tomorrow?
Sharma is gone too. The chances for India to win this one from here on out is very slim unless someone produces something special. I guess India might try to end this one in a draw if they lose a couple more wickets.

Rahane and Jadeja are the key wickets. They need to learn from the previous innings and not get run out through proper calls.
Jadeja is also injured so probably we may not see him in the second innings I guess so OZ will literally win this match if they take 7 or 8 wickets maximum. Already 2 wickets down so 5 or 6 wickets more will give extra confidence to AUS bowlers in the 1st session of day 5.If Rahane or Puraja lost their wickets in the first session then the match may end in the 2nd session itself.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 10, 2021, 06:32:50 AM
Australia finally batted well in this match and put a target of 407 runs for India and till now they started carefully and they have two injured players and hence the openers should stay in the crease as long as possible and it will be a battle whether they can chase the score down or bat as long as possible and draw the match as the target is not that easy to chase. My bet is on Australia to win as a couple of wickets will open up the cracks in the Indian batting lineup.
Good approach by Indian batting now, they are playing steady especially the hitman is in the crease now while Gill lost his wicket. India need to score 327 more runs to in this match or survive 103 overs to draw this match. Looks possible but the 5th day is going to be a real battle for batting. Is there any chance of Rain tomorrow?
473  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] 10 fake wallets on Google Play - please report them on: January 09, 2021, 01:54:09 PM
A simple and easy tip to find fake and real wallets on play store is "Look at the number of downloads and reviews".

Less number of downloads cannot be considered as complete fake app but 99% of the time it will be a one so this can be easy for screening even by a real complete newbie.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction Fees on: January 09, 2021, 10:22:14 AM
Dear all,

I don't own bitcoins right now, I sold everything in 2017 for the following reason:
I thought it would be impossible for bitcoin to overtake the Euro/US Dollar with those high transaction fees.
For instance, when i wanted to pay a friend 20€ of bitcion, i payed 5€ on transaction fees, I think we can all agree that a 25% fee isn't gonna work.

Since i don't own bitcoins anymore, i was wondering if this is still the case?
And if this is still the case, why do we all believe in this expensive currency?

Kind Regards,

Lucas
in 2020, the situation is not worse like 2017 but still the transaction fee is high when we compare it with the fiat value and mainly due to the bull run. Few months back the mempool was empty when bitcoin hanging at the range of 10K so you can even make the fastest transaction with 1sat/byte. So the market condition decides the fees as well when you want a faster transaction but still, you can set a low fee but the waiting time may be in hours or days if the fee is too low before it gets confirmed.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2021, 09:14:33 AM
I love to watch him but at batting pitch i always fell asleep when he starts to defend, bat and bat. Although now he's started playing a shots, which is requirement as they are going bit slow.
If you are too defensive then you forget to score runs and in the end fall short. He was playing the long innings as he was trying to save the match from an innings defeat Cheesy. The Indian middle order is filled with bowling all rounders and the tail end will throw the bat at anything and now Australia is in a good position and Pujara needs to play the long innings in the 4th innings to save the match.
Another man is Rahane who can play long innings like Pujara so they can take the match as deep as possible but still looking for a draw is not possible with such an inexperienced batting line up from the middle so openers need to give a good start, hope Rohit will work it out this time while Gill already playing good so we can expect again from the last innings.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2021, 06:40:31 AM
Just unbelievable. When I made my previous post India were at 195/4. Now they are 214/8. Just shows how quickly the situation can change in cricket, even in the longer format. Ravindra Jadeja is still there, but on the other end we have Jasprit Bumrah, with Siraj to come. The immediate priority for India right now is to keep the Australian lead in two digits. For that, they need to score another 23 runs.

The lead is still 134 runs and if India is able to restrict the Aussies to 250 then there is a chance India might win the match. Australia has already lost 2 wickets and the bowlers are dominating the match let's see what Sir Jadeja does in this session.
Even though Indian bowlers picked two early wickets then the deadly duo again having 50+ partnership means India is going to be in the huge struggle in their second innings.even if India can OZ in 250 range still the score to chase will be near 400 so India have to create a record if they want to win this match and going for a draw is really not possible as well.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2021, 03:34:21 AM
There is still no definite advantage to any of the two sides and even now it is difficult to predict who will be able to get the first innings lead. The partnership between Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant has added 46 runs till now, and Ravindra Jadeja is yet to bat. But the Australian bowlers look lackluster, especially Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon.
Pant looks rattled a bit after hit on elbow.

1 wicket up and down and Australia might come back in command as Indian tail is bit long after Jadeja. Cummins is the danger man...

-----
Edit
Trouble!!
India's horrible test format in Sydney continues again, right now 207/7 and jadeja is the only man who can bat among the remaining ones even he isn't in good touch today. Atleast they can pass 250 so there won't be much to score in the second innings.
478  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Govts would want to regulate exchanges much more! on: January 08, 2021, 03:07:21 PM
Govts would want to regulate exchanges much more!

Bitcoin is now hitting to $40K. Governments will take Bitcoin seriously and will regulate the exchanges much more as many US pensioners having money in the form of Bitcoin among them many are US soldiers, lawyers or government officials. Many of them keep their money on exchanges. Therefore governments may take it seriously just to save the funds of their employees and their peoples.
Governments regulate investment sector for taxing purpose more than saving their people, in cryptocurrency space people can be hacked and scammed easily eo once they lost their bitcoin then its almost impossible to recover so strict regulation is useless in this case but will cause inconvenience for a trader.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Problem with shapeshift on: January 08, 2021, 01:01:16 PM
I don't think the 100 FOX is for free anyways, they are given to people for trading on shapeshift exchange only without any need for transaction fee or trading fees, meaning if you have free FOX you can trade and withdraw without fee, yes the fee will instead be deducted from the FOX balance
If you follow their telegram.

FOX Token is their airdrop/promotion and gives by some user who registers and verified on their apps, and yes the fox token is their token used for like discount or trading fees. IMO just like other fee trading token, losing this token not really loss at all most type of this token can't be traded and only can be used as a trading fee.
It will be a profit for the one who trades more often because trading fee on such exchanges are always high compared to traditional centralized exchanges. But who is going to trade on shapeshift on regular basis? If someone wants to be a trader they will never choose anonymous exchange.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 08, 2021, 07:27:24 AM
It is difficult to tell who is having the advantage right now. India has lost two quick wicket, and now it is up to the experienced duo of Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara to build the innings. Hanuma Vihari is at no.5, but after that the batting strength gets weaker. Rishabh Pant is not in good form, and Jadeja is at no.7. Whoever gets the first innings lead will be having an advantage in this match.
It was pretty good start actually but given 2 quick wickets when few overs left before the stumps, now India need to build a partnership to get some lead in this innings. Only one over left in today's game as now India is at 96/2 and Pujara again showing that why he is an important test batsman for India. Kept middling every balls while defending it and scored his first runs after 33 balls.
