461  Economy / Speculation / 4000 BTC options sellers wanted on: February 27, 2015, 10:35:17 AM
Coinut (https://coinut.com) currently has a client that needs a put option contract to hedge the risk of his 4000 BTC. The duration will be half a year. Please contact me if you are able to do it. The premium will be good. Since this is huge, proof of your financial capability is required. Default is not acceptable.

465  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of transparent exchanges. on: February 18, 2015, 02:38:49 AM
there isnt a reliable exchange, and if there is one look at the past incidents on like bitstamp.

if you look at a archive history in posts about btc-e on prices and deposits, you can see a horrible image based on selective lost deposits.

the only one i see is coinbase and in hand transactions are best way to go.

Coinut manually processes all withdrawal transactions. That's the most reliable way I think.
466  Economy / Service Discussion / HOT WALLET SHALL NOT BE USED on: February 17, 2015, 03:51:05 PM
MtGox, Bitstamp, BTCer and many others were hacked in the past. There will definitely be more. What's the reason? They used hot wallets. So exchanges should avoid using hot wallets.
467  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: February 17, 2015, 03:46:40 PM

468  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coinut.com - The only Bitcoin Options Exchange on: February 17, 2015, 03:45:12 PM
Yeah, it can happen if BTC exchanges are short for liquidity and BTC price can jump very rapidly.

Looking for a list of transparent exchanges, live updated proof of reserve, user controlled wallets etc. If an exchange is holding users bitcoins non-transparently it's possible they're a scam.

Decentralised:
https://bitsquare.io/ (in development)

Live proof of reserve:
https://www.usecryptos.com/transparency
https://exchange.coinport.com/coin/BTC
https://yunbi.com/exchange_assets ( https://github.com/peatio/liability-proof )

No users funds held/OTC with escrow:
https://www.247exchange.com
https://www.toxcoin.com
http://www.100bit.co.in

Multisig user controlled wallet:
https://www.therocktrading.com/ (optional, preferred)
https://www.bitalo.com/

Audited recently:
https://coinfloor.co.uk/

Some info on the merkle tree method of proof of reserves, original site down but still available on web.archive.org:

Hi, please add our options exchange https://coinut.com. You have checked that. And we'll do audit weekly.
471  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Trust of new businesses and weekly proof of reserve audit on: February 07, 2015, 04:38:19 PM
Hi sorry that I am traveling in the US to pitch to investors. I'll audit it immediately after I go back.

473  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price insurance on: December 26, 2014, 10:24:35 AM
Do you need some kind of insurance that will compensate you if the price goes down?
We already have some kind of insurance against that (you should know, you're providing it). What we need is a better kind of insurance, ie, vanilla options. Get to it.

Haha, thanks. We will probably release vanilla options by the end of Jan. I just want to know whether people need it.  Grin
474  Economy / Economics / Bitcoin price insurance on: December 26, 2014, 08:36:51 AM
Most of you posses some Bitcoins. If the price goes down, you lose money. Do you need some kind of insurance that will compensate you if the price goes down?
475  Economy / Speculation / Looking for bitcoin option writers on: December 26, 2014, 07:38:00 AM
We (Coinut.com) will launch our vanilla options soon. Before that, we need a few option writers. If you want to participate, please contact us, and we will offer you low commission rate after we launch.

Since the Bitcoin price is quite volatile, many people will need vanilla options to hedge their risk. So you could make a lot of profit from that. Hurry up or you will miss it.
476  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] COINUT.COM ★ Signature Campaign ★ Pay per post ★ Weekly ★ on: December 24, 2014, 02:57:35 AM

Thank you, Sir.  I actually like the site and look forward to its future...please keep building it!

As per my custom (which admittedly is bourne of one other campaign and now this one...so this is the second time I am doing this and will happen again for future campaigns that I think are cool but close shop early), I will maintain the signature for another week and/or another thirty posts...for free.

Cheers and Good Luck!

It's very nice of you! We will definitely keep working on the site.

Asking for a measly 1btc? I think that shows that these guys are amateurs. Also, if you pay it it will likely lead to more attacks from them or others thinking they can easily get money out of you.
This. After you get the 'info' and 'fix' your defenses, they would probably strike down again with a different (possibly) name and ask for more.

When you can afford it use Cloudfare, good luck.

Yes, they are amateurs. Their technical skills are quite limited. Their requests pattern is quite obvious and can be filtered easily.

So Glad that your title computer science PhD student doesn't useless instead very usefull.

Singapore graduate is the best

Haha, I don't know if we are the best, but definitely we are not wasting our time here.  Grin
