It seems like you've been mixing up Pandacoin (PANDA) (not us) and Pandacoin (PND) (us). We're here to help but obviously we're not present on the side of the coin we are competing against. Our IRC channel is #PandacoinPND on freenode. i dont see panda in the voting list? But it is summer now, VGA card is so hot, if UTC can change to x11, I'll back.
X11 has a much lower ASIC resistance compared to scrypt-jane. What UTC needs is a X11 multipool now so that miners like you who want to use X11 for the time being can use that, however remain onto scrypt-jane as the most ASIC resistant algo there is. x11 wil be incoorporated into the multipool, yes. so miners can still benefit indirectly. |

Hello UCM`s!
Last night we had a very productive IRC meeting and we say thank you to everybody who attended, a few things were discussed and the general consensus was that we should try to turn the yearly POS into a weekly POS and that this should be 0.1% per week.We are still talking to a dev about this.
The second thing people agreed upon is that we should lower the N factor and keep it there for 1 year,this is also being discussed.We are aware of the N factor change today,but dont worry,this will be rolled back so bare with us for now.
The dev has informed us that letting people update so quickly without time to prepare can create a hard fork and damage the coin,so the most responsibe thing for us to do is let this N factor happen for now.
I am very pleased with some of the posts in here, The dev team is working very hard behind the scenes, but we can only do so much, we need your help.....Dcgirl, xwebnetwork and Jakob have lives to live aswell, and i have told them on multiple occasions i dont want UTC to suck up their entire life.I am most gratefull for their efforts and commitments, but as somebody just mentionend,we are just 5 people....
I also see some comments from people who think "it will die forever".this is offcourse nonsense.This price point does not reflect the actual value of a coin.value is much more then a number. Value is the community ,the team,the developments,.Lets be honest,this price is not caused by the dev team.this price is caused by:
1:people selling at this rediculus price
a battle to undercut the seller above you,makes sure we are on a steady decline in price
2:the lack of proper demand
The coin needs an actual purpose to exist,and services like the minecraft plugin to tap into communitys unrelated to crypto,to create a vast userbase to create proper volume
To the doom & gloom people i would like to say : please find a way to redirect your energy into something uplifting and contructive.
Ask yourself : How can i contribute? How can i make a difference?
Complaining is very easy and anybody can do it,but you acomplish absolutely nothing,and this is not what Ultracoin represents,its about making a change , and making a difference,and having core values.This UTC community is not large, i will admit that.BUT the people we DO have are absolutely fantastic.They pull through for us at every voting event.They stick with us even on a downslope graph, and for this i think i can speak for the team when i say, we are deeply gratefull for that.

what are some things anybody could do to help UTC?
-Tell people about it (facebook,twitter,real life)
-Talk about ultracoin in chatboxes
-Prove the doubters wrong and show howmuch we have accomplished in just 4 months
making a coin,

So when you think about it,the coin should really be 1 dollar at least to represent what we have done as a group and what we are going to do.Its up to you guys what happens,i know we as the team are doing our very best,but we are indeed just 5 people.Look at the beautifull aluminium wallets,We did not ask him to make that,he did that all by himself. This is the model for the UCM (Ultracoin community member).proactive,innovative,intelligent.

Status update:
Team UTC is currently discussing changing the POS time to 3 months @ 5%,and what the effects would be.
We are also discussing the consequences of lowering the N factor,as well as the making an assessment of peoples suggestions like going full POS and lowering the total coin ammount.
I want to make it clear that no decision has been made at this time,we are simply investigating all options to make a well informed and responsible decision.
We will not make hasty decicions because the price is low,since we have a clear vision of the future and there is no reason to panic.We want the best for our community members and miners.I will say that we are quite surprised that people are selling this low,since we have one of the most dedicated teams working on innovations.

i am finally done with graphic on utc aluminium wallets. i have some work in progress, so sooner or later i will add another designs of cards. for now its also only credit card size wallets (adress and BIP38 encoded private key), keychain wallets (adress only) are coming with new graphics in next few weeks. the very 1st ordered wallet is free, from next 14 orders i randomly pick 2, which will have half price  just post "UCM" in notes field when ordering. web is beta and my html and php skills really sucks, so please let me know if something not working.. Well, just tried to sign up to coinpayments to vote with the few millibits I had left in my wallet. After registering and clicking the verification e-mail I tried to log in, wouldn't accept my password so after 2 tries I reset it, now with the new password still didn't get in and account is locked.... grrrrrrr, it's as if they don't want ppl to bloody vote  password? i voted without signing up |
