Since this is the investment thread it seems like the place to ask about your investment policy.  You state on the site:

Quote
Good Marketing is the key to the growth of your investment, as more players play, more money your investment will make. Therefore 0.1% of the wager will be set a side for marketing effort and aquiring new customers.

We only charge 0.1% of the wager as commission to fund the operation of this game. This commission is subject to change at anytime with a 7 day notice.

My question is this, what is the .1% commission on, the bet or the net gain from the investment?  Are you trying to say there is a 10% commission on winnings or something else?  Am I going to be paying "commission" even on losing bets?

I would also modify the language:

Quote
However, short term swing caused by variance will not matter in the long run as investing in the bankroll will always result in a profit over time.

Because while this is true in the long run it can be not true for extended periods and I don't think you can really guarantee your investors a profit.  Say at least "should not matter" rather than will not matter.

Otherwise the site looks nice and it is nice to have another investment alternative.  Good Luck!

I've updated the learn more section under invest to clarify this a little more.

"We charge 0.1% of the wager as commission to fund the operation of this game. Since the expected return is 1% and we take 0.1% commission, statistically this is a 10% commission on the expected return."

u still alive?..how do i withdraw???  Roll Eyes

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Withdraw

Your account balance is: ฿0.00002301

Pending withdraw: ฿0.01

Address

Withdraw

฿0.0001 will be deducted for transaction fee

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Sorry this might seem confusing but I've changed the way this works it on the website now that this has happened. your account balance is less than your pending withdraw, because after you made the request you gambled your money away. From now on the pending withdraw will deduct from your balance right away so you can't play with the amount that you requested to be sent to you.

However, I will credit you the ฿0.01 personally since this was bad user experience design.

474  Economy / Securities / Re: Low Risk Dice Game For Mobile | 1% House Edge | In Beta Test Now on: September 19, 2013, 02:36:19 AM
Since the bankroll is publicly known, it would be a risk to the investors if criminals can easily find out who the site operator is. For example, there was a case where a member of this forum had his house broken in just to have his asic miner stolen, so it was definitely a highly targeted heist. Just-dice has $5 Million worth of bankroll in his computer, which would make the site operator a good kidnap target for the criminals to point a gun at his head to transfer all the bitcoins to them, then run off...

Well the solution would be to understand and implement security rather than hide behind a handle and suggest others trust your nobodiness because criminals.

What are your suggestions on ways to implement security? If people knows who I am, it would be pretty easy for them to track me down physically.

Is it a webapp?
Compatible with iPhone?

Only works on mobile phones?

It is a web app, but should work with iPhone. You can install it on your homescreen (I just haven't added the bubble for beta since theres no point telling people to install the beta on their homescreen).

does we just directly enter from mobile explorer?or need to download the apk?

I decided to make a web app first because Apple won't approve this app for sure in the app store, so this way the app will work for everything across the board.

I will release android app in the Google play in the future though.

it would be better as a application you have to download. Not use through the browser because of the limitations (On phones) Well, it's designed for the web browser on the phone, but there has been a reason why many haven't done this because of the limitations.. But, you can access the site through your pc's web browser as stated in the newbies section thread.

This does have a lot of potential I agree. I think this could lift off.

It loads in the browser for now, but for iPhone you can install it to the home screen. For Android I will publish a version to the Google play in the future when the site start to generate some revenue.

I think it would be more fair, but less cool for your slogan, to mention that you are the second (or third) bitcoin dice game designed for mobile. ggdice was always designed for mobile.

I didn't know about ggdice, I will change the slogan.

Looks very nice. Lots of potential. Best of luck!

Thanks!

I have decided to stay annoymous for the safety of your bitcoins that will be invested in the bankroll.

How does that work, exactly?

Since the bankroll is publicly known, it would be a risk to the investors if criminals can easily find out who the site operator is. For example, there was a case where a member of this forum had his house broken in just to have his asic miner stolen, so it was definitely a highly targeted heist. Just-dice has $5 Million worth of bankroll in his computer, which would make the site operator a good kidnap target for the criminals to point a gun at his head to transfer all the bitcoins to them, then run off...

Its looking good and is a great idea.

A couple of UI notes: I'm having some rendering issues on an iPhone 4S (iOS 6.1.3) The longer pop over windows (e.g. "invest" and username) that require vertical scrolling are frequently resetting their scroll position to the top and flashing on and off making text input difficult. (e.g. when the 'learn more' option is opened under 'invest'). It may have something to do with the text crawl across the top...?

Also, the payout text field and win percentage chance text field in the middle of the screen are somewhat confusing. They are styled the same as all of the other elements on the screen yet they are the only ones that aren't active UI elements (they are read-only) which is inconsistent. Being the two biggest things right in the center of the screen, it can make the app seem broken for a new person who comes and taps them only to have nothing happen. Obviously it is a 'learn once' kind of deal, but maybe there is a design solution to those fields. Maybe don't make them look like buttons.

Thanks for the tips, I will fix those asap
477  Economy / Securities / Low Risk Dice Game For Mobile | 1% House Edge | In Beta Test Now on: September 18, 2013, 10:55:45 AM

Hey bitcoin investors, here is another opportunity for you to diversify your portfolio!

I have been working on a dice game designed for smart phone for the past little while (it does work on desktop too). Now it is ready for public beta on testnet. The website is similar to just-dice on how the investment works. Your investment is very liquid and you can invest and divest any time. The house edge is 1% so you will make money in the long run. The maximum profit is set to 0.5% of the bankroll, which is half of just-dice to reduce the variance, and reduces the risk on your investment.

I have decided to stay annoymous for the safety of your bitcoins that will be invested in the bankroll.

Please take a look and test out the beta site to give me suggestions for improvement! Thanks!
