461  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: newbie look for help to buy BTC on: February 16, 2016, 12:05:25 AM
Hey all
I'm pure newbie and I'm looking for buying few BTC, not many for now but may be more soon. I'm looking to know the step to do without hassle. I already downloaded Bitcoin 0.11.2 since one week and I run it at night.. I need 30 weeks to go updated...
I Know that I have to open an account with some like kraken site but not familiar with giving ID and other private infos over Internet.
Thanks to help

If your located in the USA coinbase is the best way IMO.

Outside the USA I couldn't tell you. I would localbitcoins also, might pay a little more but you don't have to give bank account info and an ID if that stuff throws you off.
even if hes outside U.S i still suggest coinbase. im currently in canada and i always use coinbase to buy/sell my coins, its just so simple and easy
462  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: February 16, 2016, 12:03:59 AM
lets see, If bitcoin managed to hit 1,000,000 each coin before 20 years. I'd prolly pay off my mortage and buy a nice car, and invest the rest.
if it only hit around 1000, thats still pretty good , i guess id just cash out and save it.
463  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: February 15, 2016, 11:52:04 PM
hmm asking that on this forum would be kind of biased as it is a bitcoin based forum.
i would say they both have their strengths and the better one varies in alot of categories. if you are looking to just store some money then bitcoin is better. but if you are looking to buy stuff online id say paypal is better because more companies accept paypal.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Deadpool on: February 15, 2016, 11:49:46 PM
So recently (today) I was watching Deadpool. It's that cool ass movie that just came out. So at that cool little bar in the movie that Deadpool hangs out at there's something in the upper left corner that I barely noticed. It's a sign that says "Bitcoin accepted here". After seeing that, my jaw dropped. Bitcoin just made it into pop culture! It's pretty awesome seeing this in such a popular movie! Pretty awesome stuff.
maybe it was a store in real life and not just a set lol. and they actually did accept bitcoin in real life. i doubt the producer put it there.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hahahaha, what a plonker on: February 15, 2016, 11:44:48 PM
i really really dont think hes telling the truth lol, if he managed to somehow buy 37,000 bitcoins. im pretty sure hed check who he was sending them too. and theres no proof of a transaction either.
466  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: February 14, 2016, 11:15:37 PM
i remember the first time i heard about bitcoin was actually on tv lol. i was watching the news and there was a story about cryptocurrencies, it was about the price explosion of bitcoin. i think bitcoin was around $1000 at that time.
467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [OVERVIEW] Wallet and exchange security review (updated feb. 14 2016) on: February 14, 2016, 11:13:55 PM
hmm it seems coinbase is more secure than i thought lol, maybe i should go back to using it.

really didnt expect coinbase to be the most secure.
468  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to collect BTC ?? on: February 14, 2016, 11:12:17 PM
to get some btc, you can hit up a faucet although i really dont recommend this. the amount of btc youll get is very low.

you could also join a signature campaign on this forum to get btc for every post you make.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: How to earn money with bitcoin ? on: February 14, 2016, 11:11:03 PM
if you mean earning money with the amount of bitcoin you already own, i suggest lending to other people. you can either go on the lending section on this forum and lend to people there or try the bitbond.com site they also do p2p lending.
470  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your plan to get rich with Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2016, 11:08:50 PM
my goal in bitcoin is kind of similar to the one you described. my goal is to get 10 bitcoins currently at 2.5 right now, and after that i just hold for 10 years and hope the price is 1000+ . Cool
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Valve is about to accept bitcoin as their payment system on: February 14, 2016, 02:05:28 PM
So i was reading some news when this news catches my attention
http://www.wired.co.uk/news/archive/2016-02/09/valve-accept-bitcoin-steam
What do you guys think of it ?
Funny how valve says they are never going to accept bitcoin in 2014 Tongue
And it looks like they are using bitpay to mediate the transactions between them and customer

i think itll be really beneficial for the bitcoin currency, if steam started accepting bitcoins as a payment. tons of people would start making wallets and getting btc to use it on steam. and ofcourse itll bring more traffic to valve so its a win-win  Cheesy.
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Feel About Bitcoin Right Now? on: February 14, 2016, 01:51:37 PM
right now i feel like bitcoin is just starting to grow and its gonna get so huge in a coupe of years. im holding for a really long time tbh. atleast another 10 years.
473  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why do you have Bitcoin? on: February 14, 2016, 03:16:24 AM
i only have bitcoin right now cuz i feel like its a good way to store my current wealth lol. its just safe and secure and thers a chance ill make money from the investment in the future.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with $125 USD? on: February 13, 2016, 05:37:02 PM
I've got like 0.3 something Bitcoin remaining, not sure what to do with it.
I have a Bitcoin debit card so I could just go withdraw it but that's not very fun  Roll Eyes
Any ideas?
i think you should just keep it in a wallet and forget about it.125 right now isnt much. but in a couple of years who knows maybe bitcoin will skyrocket. and youll have a bonus of having 0.3 btc. Shocked
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: February 13, 2016, 05:34:39 PM
bitcoins can't be hacked lol, and beware of any sites that "pomise" you a return on your investment with bitcoin. there are very little ways that bitcoins can be invested so majority of these sites are scams.
476  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think bitcoins will disapear or become unused? on: February 13, 2016, 05:33:11 PM
I don't think bitcoins have a good futur. Not much people use them and there is no real use for these people. The problem is that the people that doesn't use it is the majority of the planet. And you, what do you think about this? Will bitcoins have a glorious future or a realy bad one?
i dont think so. making bitcoin disappear is the same as making an entire currency disspear. too many people would lose too much money. and there would always be someone willing to buy it.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will Satoshi Nakamoto do with his Bitcoins? on: February 13, 2016, 05:32:08 PM
Probably nothing, my expectation is that they will sit untouched forever. It has been years already, what is to assume that things will change soon?
and thats actually a good thing imo. if millions of bitcoins remain untouched. thats about 10% of the entire supply of bitcoins, and more people continue to lose their bitcoins everyday. so a lower supply means that the price will steadily go up.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will Satoshi Nakamoto do with his Bitcoins? on: February 13, 2016, 04:57:07 PM
hmm, i dont think satoshi will ever move his coins tbh, i actually think he died. its been so long since he even said anything on the internet. i know he doesnt wanna expose himself. but even posting anonymously would show hes still alive.
479  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins in Steam coming soon... on: February 13, 2016, 04:50:35 PM
i agree, steam is a huge platform, almost every gamer uses steam and it adopting bitcoin will definitely lead to a higher use rate for bitcoin. would be great for the bitcoin economy.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: February 13, 2016, 04:49:14 PM
Since bitcoin is an internet currency that can be turn into a actual money. And Bitcoin too is known on Government but still government can't observe bitcoin that good. So I'm thinking if Bitcoin has tax??
ive never heard of bitcoins being taxed. but i do think that if u earn more than $600 with bitcoins in the U.S, you do have to fill out a form for tax purposes. but even if u didnt, i dont think theyd find out.
