I paid for 3.2 btc for ~10GHashes, expecting it will break even, at least in a year. may be some more for second year as profit. Everything is ok so far, and received my 0.1 BTC as my weekly payout. Except September delivery announced, received in late in October. If this extends for 32 more weeks (8 months), then it will break even with my investment, which is great. But I think it will never return my investment. ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Ouch, I just got 10 giga for 0.9 and I'm questioning my ROI.... Good luck! Good luck on ROI, hashfast is coming soon and the real difficulty hike is coming...

I know it's a little late, but it might be useful for some. We have finally got our hands on a Butterfly Labs ASIC miner. As most of you know, production release dates have been a enormous problem for BFL. The miner we are testing was ordered in March 2013, it was received October 31st 2013. As you can imagine, the wait time essentially nullified any chance of making a quick return on investment. With ASICs flooding the market, the mining difficulty is pacing with the production numbers. Want to make a good return on your mining investment? Get "fast hashing" hardware quickly. Unboxing the unit was also an ear opening experience, as I could hear screws rattling & sliding around inside the case. Loose metal objects floating around powered electronics can be an expensive mistake. Fearing it may fry the electronic inside, I removed the offending screws, and proceeded to put the unit back together. I then remembered that BFL had to change their original design of the Single & Little Single ASIC units. They had to double the case size, to accommodate the 30 & 60GH/s boards. The resulting internal case design & assembly appeared to be rushed into production. Read the rest here: https://coinaxis.com/index.php/entry/butterfly-labs-asic-review-30gh-s-coinaxisBetter not buy anything more from Butterfly lab, they have really bad record and please don't risk your money... go for KNC instead..

Electrical energy goes into my GPU and changes to heat energy.
Is 100% of the energy being changed to heat when mining, or is there a small portion that is still electricity? The data bits I am sending to the BTC network must still be electrical energy, right?
You going to heat your house with GPU? You better think twice cause I see some forum member saying there is weird smell while GPU mining. It might have serious side effect..... Your GPU should smell like $$. No it smells like burned metal....

Since the fee is constant but the difficulty keep increasing, the fee % will go up until a point where its break-even? hm....

http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficultyBitcoin Difficulty: 510,929,738 Estimated Next Difficulty: 652,003,109 (+27.61%) I am guessing about 50% increase in difficulty cause hashfast is getting ready to ship their ASIC.....
