Sooo. does anyone know why my WU could be so low? Just testing a few settings out... but hell, I've been mining for a couple of hours here and there for the last couple of days, and while I'm accepting shares, I'm not getting paid jack!

Oh yeah, prototype PCBs for the DPS-2000BB boards came in and we've assembled a board or two for initial testing. The dummy load we're building for stress-testing is functional but not functional enough to run the boards up to capacity yet so we haven't done full testing, but should be able to this weekend.
Yay!!!

It's a fake!!! Photoshopped, I say! There's no way in hell someone owns something so beautiful! I've since filled the far left and far right with S2's and Jupiters. Also added #11 which is the start of the mirror of 10 more racks. 20 racks is my goal. The DC was nice and gave me an extra perforated tile row for my cold isle. I do have to say it's quite nice to have the S2's on battery and generator, since an unannounced (or planned for that matter) reboot often leads to dead SD cards. All together the 11 racks are 100% full and I'm using a total of 21 30A 208V circuits.

USB Risers are more expensive, but better nonetheless. My next rig will be built entirely out of them.
Some folks have said that you get less has power... not sure how true, but since I opted to get a million of the traditional kind, that's what I have to work with lol

Found solution - It looks like my Corsair was somehow set to multiple rails. Who knew it could even do that.

Thinking that I bricked two mobos (I didn't tho) I went out and got another. One less slot and too many 16x! Anyhoo, I have more than enough 1x powered risers, but only 2 of the 16x and I have two rigs (10 GPUs) to set up.
Here's the thing - I know I can connect those 1x risers in those damn 16x slots. Question is - HOW? I tried all types of configurations but I get a blank screen if I use anything other than a 16x riser.
mobo: ASUS Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 OS: Windows 8 Cards: R9 290 - default Windows driver Main Power: Corsair AXi 1200 (3 cards) Slave Power: Thermalake 750 (2 cards - not even connected yet)
If it's possible to do with the USB risers, I know this is possible.
Anyone?

Congrats Cascaders28... You just got yourself a free freaking mobo that's actually working.... It was the fucking CPU!!! I had a friend who told me that he checked it - liar. Anyways, I bought an ASUS Sabortooth 990fa from a local store yesterday. Hooked everything up -behold! The CPU red light was on and they system wouldn't boot. So do have fun with it but I think I want to keep the other as a spare so I'm closing house before someone else makes me laugh. Just ironic.., this thread sat idle for days-now that they work, I have submissions, Smh. I'm on the way back to that store to snag another CPU now. And I don't want that piece of junk you have, btw lol. But I appreciate the offer. It can be difficult to gauge another's sense of humor without being face to face so something I find hysterical may not get any reaction from you and vice-versa. However I'd be interested in one of the boards for something to tinker with even though I'd need to pick up an AM3 CPU to do so If you're looking for a replacement I've got a MSI 790GX-G65 that still boots I submit the following A Frenchman, an Englishman and a New Yorker were captured by cannibals. The chief comes to them and says, "The bad news is that now we've caught you and we're going to kill you. We will put you in a pot, cook you, eat you and then we're going to use your skins to build a canoe. The good news is that you can choose how to die." The Frenchman says, "I take ze sword." The chief gives him a sword, the Frenchman says, "Vive la France!" and runs himself through. The Englishman says, "a pistol for me please." The chief gives him a pistol, the Englishman points it at his head and says, "God save the queen!" and blows his brains out. The New Yorker says, "Gimme a fork!" The chief is puzzled, but he shrugs and gives him a fork. The New Yorker takes the fork and starts jabbing himself all over--the stomach, the sides, the chest, everywhere. There is blood gushing out all over, it's horrible. The chief is appalled and asks, "My God, what are you doing?" And the New Yorker responds, "So much for your canoe you stupid cannibal!

I forgot about this thread for a bit.
Anyhoo - I found out that I have to connect a total of 3 power connectors to my GPUs; 8 pin, 6 pin, and the molex riser. Funny enough I can actually use unpowered risers - just as long as I have those 14 pins connected. Hope this help others.
dazza12 please post your addy. You gave me the idea of attaching the additional 6 pins.

Been there - done that. Actually removed the CMOS battery for about a day. Breadboarded too. I still don't have any takes... looks like no one wants my junk Do you have the PCIe power connected? I have a MSI 990 and 880, both FX. The 990 would not boot at all without the PCIe power. The 880 worked for 2 months with it and one day wouldn't come back after a reboot until I connected the PCIe power.
With both boards, all the blue lights came on but it would not post.
Thanks for the input! Yes, I actually have to connect the 8 and 6 pin molex along with the PCIe cable to the PSU. I think the BIOS is corrupted... that's what hours of trying to find a solution online led me to believe anyway. Do the following before giving the boards away (if you haven't already done so): 1.) Unplug the ATX power supply from the board 2.) Pull the CMOS battery 3.) Move the CMOS clear jumper from 1-2 to 2-3 (which should be clear) (*note: if this is in the wrong position, it could explain why the board isn't functioning). I recommended leaving everything alone for 15 minutes to a few hours just to completely clear everything. If you have a volt meter, check out the CMOS battery and see if the voltage is in a usable range. Cheers, ntbc

I've created PHP script that connects to cgminer / vertminer and in cycle changing GPU / MEM freq and reads hash rate -> and all is written into log file.
Good Lawd! Is this what I think it is???

Hmmm.. I solo mined for about 2 days on a CPU back in the day. I recall there being some type of server setting? Like server 1? Can't recall off hand, but I may be able to find something out. does anyone have a good setup for Sapphire 280X Dual's for solo mining?? Yes I know solo mining is nuts but I want to test it and see if I can get it to work. I keep getting this error. [2014-05-15 17:10:12] Started vertminer 0.5.3 [2014-05-15 17:10:12] Started vertminer 0.5.3 [2014-05-15 17:10:12] Probing for an alive pool [2014-05-15 17:10:16] Pool 0 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid
This is my init. Yes the wallet is open. vertminer --scrypt-vert -o 127.0.0.1:5989 -u user -p password Thanks for the help.

Is there anything other than the BIN file which would cause the GPU to retain settings?
It seems like there is another file. Are you able to compare the files in the folder you're using against what came in the original? That might be worth a shot. You don't have your LTC files in the same folder, do you? No, cgminer and vertminer are each in their own directory. I did a global search of C: for additional BINs and didn't find any. Im wondering if it's the GPU or OS which needs to reboot to clear the settings. Between these vertminer tests, I have been running the GPU's on Scrypt to keep them busy, so I may try a reboot tonight then startup the single-line command and see where the GPUs land. Good deal. Keep us posted!

Copy this exactly. Only changing what's underlined:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 vertminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://your pool:PORT -u MyUsername -p MyPassword
But before you run, delete the old config file and all .bin files. If it works, go into settings to write your own config file. Once it's generated, you can tinkle with the settings. You don't have to put your parameters in your .bat
Let me know if it works.
Ok, ran that exact command (except used --scrypt-vert) and got only 1 out of 4 gpus running. It came up to 116KH/s (30% of Scrypt speed). Other GPUs still show as Failed/OFF. Tried to enable them, but they just stayed at 0KHs. vertminer --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://vtc.give-me-coins.com:3337 -O usao.M4:x Whoops! I forgot to add the -vert, nice catch! So we have a great start then before you write your config (if you have, just delete the file and .bin again), disconnect all but one card and try again. If it works, write your config file. Now you can begin to tweak your settings in your file, use the .bin generated to grab your thread concurrency. Work with just this one card until you find the optimum settings. Once you're satisfied, shut down and add another card and run your .bat. If it works, remember to write your config file again and you should tweak the parameters on the second card as well - sometimes even the same card might have slightly different values.
