Wie lief der Zahlungsprozess?  Habe mich mit meinem Laptop im Kneipen-WLAN eingeloggt und über den Client gezahlt. Hat ein paar Minuten gedauert, bis die Transaktion bestätigt war. Dafür gab's in der Zwischenzeit einen netten Bitcoin-Plausch mit dem Eigentümer der Burgerkneipe. Mit einer mobilen Bitcoin-Implementierung zum Bezahlen wäre es natürlich besser/schneller/einfacher gegangen. Kommt hoffentlich bald. |

Ich war heute in Berlin-Kreuzberg unterwegs und bin dabei auf den room77 gestoßen ( http://www.tip-berlin.de/essen-und-trinken/restaurants-und-bars/room-77), der Bitcoin als Zahlungsmittel akzeptiert. Für nicht mal ein BTC ein komplettes Abendessen, was aus einer Cola und einem leckeren Monster-Cheeseburger bestand. Möglicherweise das erste Restaurant in Deutschland, das offiziell bitcoin akzeptiert?  Zu diesem sensationellen Wechselkurs lohnt es sich allemal.  |

Well, as seller who uses PP only I always paid the fees myself and never bothered to complain to the buyers. Only a few paid the fees themselves.
If I would have accepted paypal only, I would have paid the equivalent of at least 7 BTC just for paypal fees (on international sales) so far. In the current goldrush, this might not seem to much. Still, some people work a long time for that kind of money. So why waste it? @Makhul: Wouldn't it have been easier to just strongly emphasize that the buyer has to pay all paypal fees? Before the buyer accepts paypal as a payment method, you could open up a pop-up window that states his obligation to pay the fees again, so he has to actively agree on this point. You could also link to a paypal-fee calculation site. Again, I've made the experience that the majority of buyers are willing to pay the fees once this is pointed out to them. It's just a matter of how this rule is communicated via bitmarket and the sellers. And how it is enforced if the buyers is unwilling to comply. As discussed before, a rating system would help here, too. |

Paypal guidelines changed!
PLEASE READ THIS if you use Paypal, if you don't, you can get yourself trouble. Because of some confusion about who should pay the Paypal fees, we are changing our FAQ to reflect the most common situation: now the seller pays the Paypal fees. This is because, when you send money Paypal via Paypal you often don't have a choice besides choosing that seller will pay the fee. It happened to us many times and we have to make it an official rule to avoid more confusion.
Additionally, when buying with Paypal, please don't mention "Bitcoin", "coin", or any other currency-revelant words in your payment description. Please just put the your username/email and transaction ID there.
This pretty much kills paypal as an option for the seller, at least for me. I had about 10 transactions using paypal as a seller so far, and not once did I have a problem with someone who didn't pay the fees. I just included that information in the payment details. If anyone forgot, I would just send the money back and tell the buyer to include the fee, which everyone did so far. Especially for traders who want to get their money fast, this is a disappointment. bitmarket.eu is still a relatively slow option to get your hands on some coins, and I guess now it's even getting harder because less sellers will accept paypal.  Waiting three days or more for your coins or your money to arrive is just a pain. Besides that: Good work, bitmarket! |

Maybe it is possible to implement a rating system that is based on the amounts and volume of trades that have succesfully taken place. As a new member, you'll only be allowed to trade BTC worth XXX EUR and each succesful trade (be it selling or buying) increases your trading volume by another XXX €. After a certain number of succesful trades, the limitation is removed because you have proven to be a trustworthy trader.
This way, the behaviour mentioned above does less harm to the marketplace and makes it less attractive for scammers to enter the marketplace.
Another possibility that comes to my mind is some sort of collateral that you have to pay before trading. If you're doing any trade, XXX BTC are frozen until ALL transactions are completed, then it is repaid. Obviously, it would be harder for new bitcoin-users to enter the market, but the collateral payment could be implemented for users that don't have the initial trading limitation anymore.

It says that on June 14th/15th, Bitcoin itself [sic!] will talk about its strategy and backgrounds. A member of the main developers will have a Q&A at the "2b AHEAD Zukunftskongress" (future conference) in Brunswick, Germany. So who is the developer that is gonna talk at the conference? I have no idea about the national impact of the conference, but the site makes it sound like this could likely cause some further media coverage in Germany. Wow! Will it be the Bitcoin software answering questions or just a pile of coins?! This is amazing! I wrote to http://www.2bahead.com/ asking for some clarification. I'll let you know about their answer. Or has bitcoin already evolved to some sort of AI, making the skynet prediction come true? |

Wie wahrscheinlich alle schon wissen, hängt das überleben von bitcoin nur davon ab, wie stark damit gehandelt wird. wenn nun jeder sich kurz zeit nimmt und jede handelnde website, die er kennt anfragt, ob sie nicht auch auf bitcoins umstellen können. wenn viele personen dies machen werden gewiss einige shops auch bitcoins akzeptieren.
je mehr hier mitmachen, desto risikoloser bleibt bitcoin.

Natürlich ist Bitcoin an sich nicht reguliert. Es gibt aber viele Gesetze die sich entsprechend dehnen lassen. Beispielsweise kommt sicher bald einer daher, der meint man braucht eine Bankenlizenz wenn man Kundengelder verwaltet. Und wehe einer kommt auf die Idee man betreibt einen Börsenplatz. Vielleicht sogar noch Glückspiel?!
Welche Gesetze meinst du? Gegenbeispiel: Ist es in Deutschland verboten, mit Linden-Dollars zu handeln? Ist es verboten, mit IP4v-Adressen zu handeln? Warum sollte man nicht entsprechende Parallelen dazu ziehen? Beides wird ähnlich wie Bitcoins gehandelt und weist durchaus Parallelen auf. |

Warum nutzt ihr nicht bitmarket.eu? Die werden hoffentlich in den nächsten Tagen wieder die Registrierung öffnen....
Ich nutze bitmarket.eu, aber es geht um die Weitung des Marktes. Wer langfristig am (Wert-)Erhalt von Bitcoin interessiert ist, muss imho zwangsläufig daran interessiert sein, dass sich BTC auf so viele Arten wie möglich tauschen lassen. Eben auch per persönlicher Übergabe in Cash. Kennt ihr zufällig ne gute Android app mit der ich auf der Straße ne Bitcoinüberweisung abschicken kann? Wie sollte man das sonst vernünftig gegen Cash machen? Sich gegenseitig in der Wohnung besuchen? Mit dem Lappi ins Cafe mit WLAN?
Es gibt bisher nur die Bitcoin Wallet von Andreas Schildbach (u.a. Entwickler von Öffi für Android), die testweise über den Market zu laden ist. Die bisherigen Bewertungen lassen Gutes vermuten. Wird sicher nicht mehr lange dauern, bis die App vernünftig läuft. Sonst: Ja. Was spricht denn dagegen, sich in einem Internet-Café zu treffen? Oder sonst irgendwo in der Öffentlichkeit? |

Deutschland ist einfach ein zu heisses Pflaster. Total überregelmentiert.
Soweit ich weiß, ist in Deutschland in Bezug auf Bitcoin noch überhaupt nichts reglementiert. Bis auf die Warnung von BVDW-Vize von Dellingshausen gibt es kein einziges Statement zum legalen Status von Bitcoin in Deutschland. Und diese Warnung war lediglich ein präventiver Beißreflex, vielleicht sogar auch versteckte Promo. Ich wage zu behaupten: Wenn man es richtig anstellt, kann man auch in und von Deutschland aus mit Bitcoins handeln. |
