No, I never try to find or use patterns when I'm playing luck-based games because I know they don't work since you can't make a pattern change your luck, and gambling games are only luck-based.
However, I do have relatives that think this way. One guy once told me that he understood a pattern in a game that he played and he could know what the outcome of the next round would be after watching the previous bets and their results, but he would still lose even after trying that pattern and what's amusing is he still didn't realize that his patterns aren't working for him and he still used to use those patterns.

About a young man that killed himself after a gamble loss, he even left a message for his family and friends before taking his life. But I wonder why should someone take his own life just because he lost #2.5 million to gambling an amount equivalent to just about $3k. I can relate to his loss but taking your life is something unimaginable and unjustifiable to do. In my opinion those who lose buy at whatever price they sell before the specified time or are forced to sell.
Bitcoin is the most volatile currency and it has bullish and bearish trend. In the long bearish market it is better to hold. However, this may not always be helpful for those looking to make a quick profit from Bitcoin.
Many investors can refer to the state of Bitcoin investors in 2017 where Bitcoin fell from $2,0000 to $3,000 in 2018. At that time, those who bought at a higher price really lost? I think they didn't all lose but those who didn't hold their bitcoins out of desperation at the time the price went down actually they lost.
