Everytime a new MA fan/associate comes on to this blog and the whole discussion starts all over again...300 pages and counting.

I agree. But there is a trend:

The fans get desperate. And they are not new ones. The last one Alex-11 started here in 2016. So desperate that in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1082909.msg51838096#msg51838096 he pulls out this old trick of showing these fake manufactured success claims that nobody ever had a chance of verifying.

I think it is all good. For those who are not complete idiots, it is clear: It boils down to what Martin Armstrong claims is an expert about: Confidence. In financial matters, how can you have confidence in products / services of a person who has been caught lying so many times as seen in this blog?

From that perspective, Martin Armstrong is finished. Whenever one of his associates pops up again, point back to what has been revealed here for all to see. 606,300 views of this blog and counting. No problem. Even if it takes 1,000 pages. I mean he is really finished. To the point that he now posts trivial messages in his private blog in an attempt to get the Socrates subscription numbers up again.

...... I am sure I will be the scapegoat and the fake news will keep that image in motion and support the Deep State as they always do. se of the implosion.

Marty is the ideal scapegoat. He is a speculator, a enemy of the banks and he was already in prison.
When the next crash comes , they surely need scapegoat's. Not one, but several of them.

I any case. What I don't get is, why would the banksters still need the Socrates code. Now that Socrates has been released they could simply use it them self.
But of course , if only them would have the code, then they would be the only one's who'd have it.

I'm interrested in criticism, but please spare comments like, Armstrong is a fraud. I'm not interested.

That is an interesting question, and it appears that you have already answered it yourself.

I don't have the Socrates code, but I have a fairly good grasp of its complexity, or the lack of it because I have inspected hundreds of reports. This is in understatement, because I don't want to get into the details of what else I did. I am a computer programmer with decades of professional experience.

I am not into speculation especially not into conspiracy theories. I am interested in facts and high probability scenarios.

This story of someone actually wanting to get hold of the source code of this system in order to benefit from its forecasting ability is a distraction, a smoke screen.

For someone who is not able to question the quality of the system, this story projects the image of magic abilities. Therefore, it was useful for Armstrong for some time. Like UFOs are always useful for a good story.

As you discovered, this story is no longer a useful tool for Martin Armstrong because Socrates is now available for everyone as an online service. So why own the source code?

It is funny that someone in this forum raised the idea that the publicly available version of Socrates is not the real thing, and that the REAL computer system is only available to Martin Armstrong himself:

...
First, I can confirm from other sources that the system that MA made available to everyone as Socrates and the one he uses for himself are completely different. Many people are duped into believing this which is unfortunate. I also was hoping to get access to his famous buy/sell charts like this he posts on the blog occasionally but again never gonna happen (also confirmed). So basically if you think you are going to get access to the actual program he uses by buying a Socrates service, I would urge you to save your money.
...

That myth is exactly what some people need, people who believe in silver bullets, in the holy grail and so on. The only difference I can see is that Armstrong, because he owns the source code, can run some of his code in a type of custom research mode to produce custom reports that the system does not produce out of the box. But that is something else.

From my perspective, it would be very useful to get all of the source code and expose it publicly. I am convinced that it would be sobering for at least a couple of reasons:

1) We could see how simple it is because it actually does not do much

2) We could see ho many patches it contains to make the system APPEAR to work as advertised. Unfortunately, this is what the reports reveal, even without knowledge of the source code itself:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1082909.msg51666429#msg51666429

So after considering all this, my conclusion is that this code is not worth owning for forecasting purposes.

Nothing new there.

Promoting the conferences where as he says usually over three trillion USD are sitting in the room, including central banks. Promoting his new book.

26:45 Just watch their (European) economy completely implode.

Boring.

He still calls politicians idiots. Which is not very good for a 69 year old man who claims he has the strategy to change the world. It would be sufficient to just point out the facts not attack the people.

Greg Hunter seems to disagree with him at times.

" In Tokyo, a man came to me with a magnetic engine. He wanted me to help him and take it public. He left me a scooter and told me to test it out. You plugged it in once and thereafter it self-generated power and did not need to be plugged in again. I was sceptical at first. I asked him why he was coming to me? He said he had been to all the top auto manufacturers and everyone wanted to buy it. He was offered $50 million and turned it down not because he wanted more, but because they wanted to shelve it so it would not see the light of day. That was another project they ensured was killed in my affair."
https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/world-news/corruption/fake-new-silence-any-new-achievement/

"it self-generated power and did not need to be plugged in again" really you cannot conceive this being possible in the future?

Who said it was breaking the laws of laws of thermodynamics you have no idea how the technology works? Many things we can do today was though impossible not too long ago. 100 years from now the technology that will exist you would say today is impossible and will never happen. You have to accept there are certain very disruptive technologies that are being suppressed by special interests and many innovations made by people are simply paid off just be shelved.

You have to be very naive or stupid to think the government has not created secret technology that the public does not know about. This is the most logical explanation for all the sightings of UFO's

Kind of sad that these people who cannot prove anything of what they are trying to sell end up promoting these conspiracy theories. All rational people are stupid?

I mean in this forum we are talking about serious subjects like investing losing money using Socrates, predicting future trends hopefully in a timely manner using generally accepted methods such as analysis and then look at this ... How much lower can things get? Disgusting.

he discovered the 8.615 year cycle. The total number of days within an 8.6-year business cycle is 3141 which is equal to Pi x 1000 the perfect cycle.
...

So it must be perfect right? The most grotesque and unscientific conclusion from a random coincidence seen in a pair of numbers I have ever seen. He discovered it for himself. Nobody else is using it.

Taking the result from this brain dead arithmetic further and make predictions based on it indicates that Martin Armstrong suffers from delusion of grandeur. The proof is in the high number of failed predictions he made based on that number. He keeps doing it again and again without realizing that the fundamental assumption is not only wrong, it is stupid.

He does not take the catastrophic result of his scheme as feedback to refine or fix it. Forecast arrays are not the solution.

...
I think most people including you believe that market price movement is completely random therefore cycles simply cannot exist in any given market.

Martin Armstrong discovered the business cycle?

...
Are you suggesting that there is no business cycle and that all price movement is in fact random ?

Super Forecast Strategy

Anyone here follow David H Hunter? https://twitter.com/DaveHcontrarian

Another cycles and macro strategist. He sees a melt-UP in the markets: S&P 3500, DOW 32000, Nasdaq 11000 by 4th Qtr - then a large fall.

Gold to also max out at $1550 and then fall below $1000 thereafter.

He sees the next cycle coming soon as highly inflationary with precious metals+miners zooming up (Gold $7000, Silver $200...), inc industrials and commodities. - Inflation and interest rates to be double digits by mid 2020s.

Bond market to be avoided in that cycle

Where he differs from Armstrong is that he sees the stock markets as falling 80% and not recovering for a generation. Armstrong says the high has extended to 2032..

I find it fascinating to follow and compare them both.

And then we build, true to Martin Armstrong's principles, a Super Forecast Array as follows:

For each forecaster (I am sure we will find more forecasters to make this statistically significant) we add to a hit counter per time period column (doesn't matter whether it is a high or low, one high / low extreme hit is one count) and accumulate in the Composite Row the counts of different hit categories.

Then we know the future, definitely, because it is detached from human emotion. As Martin Armstrong likes to say:

The numbers are the numbers

So we will either go up or down.

Folks, you'll need to pay to get such useful advice.

Essentially yes... The fundamental issue that comes with using MA commentary.

Not only do you need to personally interpret the often sensationalised text it will also have multiple outcomes that leave you (not infrequently) waiting on the sidelines 'waiting'.

Exactly. You spend a lot of time trying to de-cypher these Socrates signals and miss important opportunities.

Getting into a state of despair sooner or later.

Time is better spent studying the market and develop some ideas and refine them. With Socrates you will never learn why you went wrong.

For me, reading this blog has been a fantastic experience. It allowed me to get confirmation of the flaws I observed in this system and get completely detached from it. I had to express my findings in an accurate way, with proofs attached to everything I wrote here.

Panic Cycle

...
I'm open to being corrected however that isn't what MA classifies as a panic cycle.

A panic cycle for a nominated time period is a movement that encompasses both the high and low of the previous time period's range.
...

Everything in Amstrong's terminology related to forecasting can be interpreted in multiple ways, i.e. is ambiguous.

https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/armstrongeconomics101/training-tools/panic-cycles-are-different-from-volatility/

Panic Cycles are either a big move in one direct, or they are outside reversals that exceed and penetrate the previous range.

Looks like it bounced right around where we suggested (26,750 on the weekly) on that DOW short and has now decided to take off again........hopefully the short got closed. Seems pretty dangerous to be shorting against the main trend especially when the risk-return is so small even if you're right.

MA likes to talk about phase-transitions so to me the idea you could have a melt-up from here on the DOW to many seems crazy but this is where I think his stuff has some merit. On the day trades I'll take my TA for sure but on the larger picture to me there may still be some value.

The rather obvious reality is if you cut interest rates then money has no other place to go than into equities.

The rather crude results from "this stuff" have to be adjusted to fit that reality.

Because its formulas do not even know about interest rates. The formulas look only at a single dimension which is the time series of a single market.

Armstrong told everyone to literally sell the bottom in gold at $1050 and claimed it was going to "below $800 to the abyss" even though it's not even possible when AISC was something like $1050-$1100 on average (meaning some produce for cheaper, some more expensive, but the price is more set at the margin than at the lowest cost producer in the entire world, especially if the lowest cost producer doesn't fill all demand).

Harry Dent is a US govt asset/disinformation agent and says the same garbage claiming gold can somehow go far below cost of production, so Armstrong is probably some kind of disinformation agent too. Both of these fucktards basically tell people to 'HODL' US dollars & stawks, and that everything else is bad to hold, so seems like the only purpose of these two disinformation agents is to defend the Jewish Ponzi dollar and Jewish Ponzi stock system.

True he misled many. And he ran a Ponzi scheme. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_A._Armstrong

However to say that he is actually part of something else such as an agent of some organization would be an overstatement IMHO. That would give him more legitimacy than what he has.

I wouldn't at this time call him a fraud since you would have to call everyone who claims they have a winning strategy a fraud also. But I am just an regular guy with no back ground in software, engineering or computer science.

I wouldn't call him a fraud either if he just made predictions that go wrong. The big difference is that he never admits to have been wrong where he was wrong. He simply lies about his past predictions. In that Gold example that you mention, he later actually claimed that he and his computer predicted the bounce:

Gold Report 2016 Part 1:

Another anomaly was that at the end of 2015, we elected the Quarterly Bearish
Reversal at 1112 closing at 1060.20. At the same time, that low generated a
minor Quarterly Bullish Reversal at 993. So we generated a long-term sell signal,
but a short-term buy signal. The next two Quarterly Bullish generated were at
1308 and 1347. That meant we should first rally typically for 2 to 3 months in a
reaction and if they failed to be elected by the close of March, then the longterm
trend should resume to retest support.

That IS fraud. That minor Quarterly Bullish Reversal came out months after he was still publishing bearish messages in his blog as you remember. This behavior goes so far that it is embedded in the source code of Socrates, where, if Socrates goes wrong, in the following report it claims it was right, by injecting after-the fact signals that it had never reported earlier.

I have to admit, that's not how I remember it or happening but I do remember many people taking a lot of losses. I also say to myself while reading him, damn, did I miss a blog and the vagueness of his forecast.

I can only repeat, emphasize: He lied when he wrote: At the same time, that low generated a
minor Quarterly Bullish Reversal at 993.
Either he knew it and traded against the many people who became his bag holders, or the signal was generated months later. I don't know which of the two possibilities applies, but so far, we have not found anyone who can show us that the 993 reversal was published at the same time or even close.
