Some update regarding TRIder:
Tomorrow I will send Wurstgelee a new version of the application, such that he can test it a bit.
After this (short) test phase, I see no reason to not release TRIder in a first beta version for the community.  Smiley

Yaaaayyyy! Cheesy

Edit: Turns out the faucet was simply empty. Problem solved. Wink

AmberCoin team offer a 500AMBER reward for TRUSTED forum member for reviewing the AmberCoin source code.

We still need it.

No offense, but if you really want someone to thoroughly review your source code, the offered compensation might be "a little too little".

Awesome, thanks! Smiley

And yes, staking works the same with an encrypted wallet. You only have to unlock it to transfer coins and/or stake. To do so you have to

a) create or edit triangles.conf in %appdata%\triangles and add "server=1", "rpcuser=trianglesrpc" and "rpcpassword=<yourpassword>".
b) unlock the wallet after it is started. You can do this via the "Unlock wallet" option in the "Operations" menu of the latest beta2 version.

perfect!  Grin

rpcpassword does not have to be/shouldn't be your encryption password btw. rpcpassword only used for RPC calls to the wallet.Wink

Beta 2 updated!

I just re-uploaded the beta 2 version of "Black Pharao" with the following small fixes:

- debug console doesn't close on <ENTER> any more
- added "Unlock wallet" and "Lock wallet" to the "Operations" menu  (only shown if the wallet is encrypted and depending on current lock state)
- "Change Passphrase" only present if wallet is encrypted in "Operations" menu.
- "Encrypt Wallet" only present if wallet is unencrypted in "Operations" menu

Simply re-download the beta 2 version if you want those fixes, don't do it if you don't care. Wink

Is the Triangle symbol in the lower right corner of the wallet red or gray? What does the tooltip say if you hover the mouse pointer over it?

and gray , and says that they are not mature

Your stake weight is too low because you have a very small amount of coins.

I just sent you 10 TRI. Wait at least 1 hour and the wallet should start staking. Smiley

coins are this afternoon at 15:30 , and I'm using the latest version of 19 January that beta

So as a summary:
You sent coins to your wallet this afternoon (several hours ago), you are using the latest wallet which is not encrypted and your wallet is fully synced (compare the number of blocks to https://explorer.triangles.technology)? And the tooltyp still says "not staking because you don't have mature coins"?

il mio wallet e completamente sincronizzato e senza password. Ho ricevuto alcune monete diverse ore fa ma lo stake proprio non si vede, e strano perchè bastavano coin depositate da almeno 1 ora.

questo e il mio indirizzo:

Issue the following command in the debug console:

walletpassphrase <yourpassword> 360000 true

(50000 is the timeout in seconds until the wallet gets locked again). If you use the current beta the debug console will close after you hit ENTER due to a small bug. Simply reopen the console to see the result of your command.

14:46:31

Error: RPC server was not started, use server=1 to change this. (code -18)

Do what the error message tells you:
Add "server=1" to triangles.conf in %appdata%\triangles. Also add "rpcuser=trianglesrpc" and "rpcpassword=yourpassword" (all without the "").

Wink

stake in me remains the writing that the coins are not yet ripe .

or tried the command you wrote above the console and gives me this error :

17:51:11 Error: running with an unencrypted wallet, but walletpassphrase was called. (code -15)

Well, if your wallet is not encrypted you don't have to unlock the wallet for staking, therefore the error message is correct.

How mature are your coins? At least 1 hour?

If they are older, did the wallet stake earlier? Which wallet are you using? The stable release or the beta2?

The only thing I don't see is how to unlock the wallet for staking.........    Huh

I should be using Windows wallet, v 4.1.1.1 "Black Pharao" BETA 2 Release?

Yep. It has one minor flaw (the debug console closes on <ENTER> but the command gets executed and you have to reopen the debug console to view the result) but includes a staking fix which makes sanitizing inputs obsolete. Besides that only some CSS is missing. No others issues known or reported.

You can switch back and forth between the stable release and the beta without having to change anything in %appdata%. Keep a backup though - simply because everyone should have a backup of his/her wallets.

Oh - and it looks way better. Wink
