461  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [investment reminder] Strictly for Newbies on: May 28, 2024, 09:51:09 PM
I have helped some people by guiding them about crypto investment since 2022 and this year is taking a toll on them, out of others, one has no real job and the other is stuck with some heavy responsibility at home, he has a job that can't be called a job, but I learned some lessons from the decisions they have made in the past, which I believe it's affecting the present as we speak.

1. There is something that is more important than investing or becoming a holder, that is a job secured, do not dare become a crypto investor or a holder if you can't feed yourself daily, in this condition you need the job more than anything, and this is what will determine the outcome of your long term holding.

2. Apart from Bitcoin, it is possible that most of the projects to hold won't do well in a few years, even the good projects with great utility can suffer in the hands of some obstacles, like lack of funds, unserious team, hacks, etc, unlike Bitcoin.

3. Risk what you can only afford to lose and have a profit-taking strategy in place, pumps won't go on forever, and no crypto projects keep pumping and pumping without some dump waiting to happen, so you are to secure some profits at least.

4. The chances that crypto will make you rich overnight are very slim, it's like gamblers who unexpectedly turn into millionaires without expecting it, but it is also possible to become a poor man if you don't know what you are doing, and seek knowledge always.

5. No matter how hard you try, some people will always be ahead of you, either close friends or family even in this crypto space, you shouldn't make harsh decisions just because your fellow brothers and sisters are doing better than you.

No one will exit this life alive anyway, so there is no point putting yourself In a bad situation all because you want to be a crypto holder, if you have to give it a try do it the rightful way, get a job, and gain the knowledge about crypto before risking your paid salary on any investment, I hope this help someone new on here.
Bitcoin investment is like every other investment, which will definitely take time before it grows to an enviable height, however an investor needs a steady stream of income to be able to invest properly in bitcoin, and the idea of putting in your entire income into bitcoin without having some money left with you for contingencies is definitely a wrong Idea, bitcoin allows you to invest little by little without breaking the Bank. So I don't really enjoy it when you said the investment being done has taken a toll on the people you've guided, which from your explanation it seems like a negative toll.  For you to be a holder in bitcoin, it doesn't need your entire income, just a fraction of it is good to go, as long as your doing it gradually, however if your capital base is a bit unstable at the period of investing, you can pause the investment till your stable to continue, that for me is the flexibility that comes with bitcoin that investors do enjoy.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: May 28, 2024, 07:57:51 PM
Chelsea is closing in on the Enzo Maresca signing for the manager seat. After promoting to the Premier League with Leicester he has drawn the attention to himself. Normally I wasn't expecting Chelsea to go for him.

But on the other hand Chelsea is looking for young managers like I said before. So it should be understandable. However I'm still thinking like rather than such move, Chelsea should prioritize a move for Conte.  Smiley  If they offer him a contract I think he would think of it seriously as he won a Premier League with them before. Otherwise it seems like Napoli is trying to finalize a deal with Conte recently. They say Napoli is close to making the deal official now.

They should get it done completely, if this is the coach they have plans with for the next few years, then I believe they'll do just fine. This Enzo Maresca one time worked under or with Josep Pep Guardiola as his assistant coach and he is also Italian who I know are always tactically sound and and will do a good job.

Talking about Italian coaches brings me good memories of Antonio Conte anf the season he was in charge of Chelsea. I hope to see same with Enzo Marasca but he'll definitely face challenges when he arrives. I have seen games he handles and how tactically brilliant he's been with Leicester City. I'm already positive to say they'll compete hard for the Premier League Competition next season. They have a pretty talented squad of players now they've gotten a good coach to lead em.

Yeah, Antonio Conte has not plans in the Premier League Competition, I would love to see what he can achieve with them since they'll not be involved in any of the European Competitions for next season.

Source: https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1795425560484798708

So the deal has already been finalized, this was probably a good decision made by Chelsea. I cannot say for sure if it was a good decision or not because I have no idea how he is going to perform with Chelsea as a manager. If he is able to bring in good results then of course he is a great signing. But if he is unable to bring in good results or results that are expected, it is going to be a problem. Of course, Chelsea will have to pay compensation. But whatever happens, if he is able to bring in good results, I think it is going to be great for Chelsea. And I am pretty sure that he is definitely going to start better compared to how Chelsea started in the last season.
Yeah Enzo maresca has had good experience coaching Leicester city, I believe things will change at the Stamford bridge next season with his presence. Pochettino style of play was not helping Chelsea win games, so it was a good thing for the management to recognize that they need to change the coach, because it was obviously looking like he was lacking the sophistication of turning around things for good, I see that a lot of Chelsea fans are happy with the news.  But for Enzo maresca to start well for next season, he needs to sign new players to swagger up a new team that will rekindle the winning ways Chelsea used to enjoy, because going with this current crop of players Chelsea have now, he will do little.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People keep asking me to borrow money, some of them for betting on: May 28, 2024, 07:01:31 PM
It has become increasingly common for friends and not-so-close "friends" to come and ask me to borrow money. I don't usually ask for the purpose, but some ask me because of betting at online houses.

The last time I lent money to a colleague, who I hadn't had much contact with other than at work for a short period, it was with great difficulty that I got the money back.

I don't know where people get the amount of money they think I have, they must think I look like a bank...

Who likes having to borrow money? Unless you are a loan shark and lend with collateral where the risk is almost zero, why lend money where you end up with a loss? 'cause in addition to no one paying you with interest, most never pay you on time, at least you will get your money back after repeated charges.

Some people even go so far as to ask me to borrow money for what? to bet!! What a joke. I answer briefly and bluntly that I don't have the money to lend for these purposes!

And the worst thing is that they ask me for small amounts, like $2, 5, 10$... I think that if the person doesn't have that money now, the chances of them getting that money to pay you are low. If the person is in need, it's easier for them to confess right away to see what I can do, because I'm not a bad person.

Do you usually lend money to relatives, friends, etc.? Have you ever felt bad about it, done it unwillingly?

And when they are female friends, do you lend them?
Yes I've lend money to relatives and friends on different occasions. But asking me Money for you to use and bet sounds weird to me, as I see betting as something you should keep to yourself as it's your personal business. If you've been lending money to friends and relatives and it becomes habitual for them to constantly ask you for it, then you need to re-trace your step and point straight to them that you're not a loan office where they will be coming every now and then asking for money, in our local parlance they said that "the mouth somebody uses to borrow money is always different from the mouth he will use to pay back". because paying back money for some persons always becomes difficult, so instead of telling them outrightly that you don't have the money to borrow them, just give them a percentage of the money they are asking for that you know you can do away with if they don't payback. Ordinarily i like helping people in need, as that has been part of me, but when is at my own expense, i will have to put a stop to it.
464  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How can we make the government know that Bitcoin is not a scam? on: May 28, 2024, 03:25:40 PM
Some government advisers are not well-educated about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. That's why they tell the government in power that Bitcoin is a scam, because no one controls it and the government also fails to do their own research before making their own conclusions to restrict or ban any bank account that deals with crypto currency transactions.

Now my question is: how can we make these governments know that Bitcoin is not a scam?
They know that bitcoin is not a scam. What you are seeing on Opay, Palmpay, Kuda and Moniepoint are directives from the CBN which do not know what they are even doing. I guess you saw information like:

Quote
Opay prohibit any cryptocurrency and all virtual currency trading. Any account in violation of this notice will be close

What the banks are after is P2P trading. But I was wondering why commerical banks and other banks were not told to stop registering new customers and start displaying the warning.

P2P trading continues.

Is it crypto that makes Nigeria GDP to fall from $568 billion in 2014 to $252 billion in 2024? They have bad way of handling the economy but now they are lying that cryptocurrencies are contributing to naira devaluation.
I completely agree with your assertion. However CBN also is afraid of the fact that people can actually take their financial life into their hands without government being involved, like people can actually be independent financially and to them that poses as a threat, because they seemingly want to control all the financial flow that comes into the country.
The CBN level of bias is so nauseating, because why are you sanctioning fintech companies from registering new customers, cryptocurrency trading and all what not, then you leave the commercial banks like that without a sanction.
So they know that bitcoin is not a scam but they are unwilling to accept it wholeheartedly.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't advice anyone to invest on Bitcoin if he doesn't have Alt. income on: May 27, 2024, 09:44:41 PM
My cousin who in time i asked to investment on bitcoin but has always had excuses that he'll invest later, sometimes he tells me that he's afraid to invest his money on the bitcoin due to the potential losses.
He had aslo told me that he's contented with his monthly salaries at then but now he has fall back to me that he's ready to invest because he has lost his job and it's becoming tough for him to meet up with his financial requirements.

This has someone living a luxurious life without undermining that his job is just temporarynand economy inflations could affect his savings.
Then I reminded him that the bitcoin investment isn't a get quick rich and for an individual who has bills and financial needs to respond to as responsibility, you must have an alternative source of income by which your bitcoin investment can only be fertilexbti yield profits when you invested and doesn't panic it to grow else he may end up selling his bitcoin at lost having me to be blamed.

So I've told him that I'm not involved if he gets to Invest at this time because I know he'd panic over the volatiles of the bitcoin market since he doesn't have  another source by which he can rely on earning income to process his financial needs. The choice is his to decide because if he had alternated his source of earning to bitcoin since I told him, the dividends of his bitcoin assets would had be reliable to him after much he may have made some profits from it. It'd had also served as means of savings and factor to encourage him to be economical with his luxury life which he doesn't have the potential to continuesly afford them

There are two factors your cousin has explain about his inability to invest in Bitcoin, first he said he is afraid not to lose his money upon investment, the second one is that he is a contented man who is happy with his salary.
For him to fall back to you in respect for him to invest, seems like coming to get a quick fix on his financial situation, so it then means he doesn't really understand how bitcoin works, so he needs to first build his knowledge about Bitcoin. For his kind of person, if he gets another salary job, he will jetterson the whole idea of Bitcoin investment the way i see him, because it's not looking like Bitcoin is his thing or something he can patiently wait for to increase in value as required for investors, except he wants to be a short time investor.
So in helping him, he needs a steady stream and DCA method to follow through for the period he wants to invest.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 27, 2024, 08:39:21 PM
After their failure in the UEFA Europa League, in the end, Bayer Leverkusen won the DFB-Pokal. Congratulations to those who have finally held 2 medals this season.
Bayer Leverkusen treble accomplishment shattered and they have to settle for two titles this season. The DFB-Pokal was important for Bayer Leverkussen after failing to win Atalanta in the Europa League final. They've been one the promising club this season with just a defeat. Xabi Alonso is currently the main instrument, he has helped his club deliver good news and will always do the pushing moves to making things running smoothly.

Even though they failed in the europa league but it doesn't deny the fact that if leverkusen was owning bundesliga and DFB pokal. It's more than enough for xabi alonso. There may be a lot of clubs will try to approach him as a new coach.
Invicible record by bayern leverkusen + two trophies. There is no a better result rather than this. Xabi deservesa lot of appreciation for all of his dedication to the club. Xabi was not only a coach but he likes a teacher for whole players of leverkusen

No reason for leverkusen to let him leave from the club that fast. We may be seeing xabi to stay there for several years.

Manchester city has been putting xabi alonso on its shortlist as a guardiola's successor.
I don't think xabi Alonso will be leaving Bayern04 Leverkusen anytime soon. The career part for greater success is just been layed, his team will be competing for next season's champions League this time around and he will be showcasing his prowess in the champions League, if not for Atalanta that got in their way, Leverkusen would have successfully won the Europa League. so the grass is greener here in Leverkusen for Alonso.
Manchester city should look for somebody else, if not for the unbeatable record xabi just kept for Leverkusen on their domestic league, would they have ordinarily called him? Of course the answer is no. Manchester city should look for replacement for pep guardiola somwhere else.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: May 27, 2024, 06:00:43 PM
I don't think there is anything different from other competition systems because considering that the match schedule has been determined and scheduled almost the same. It's just that the competition in the Premier League is very tight and many players suffer injuries because the playing pattern is a little tougher, but that is not an excuse that can be given because other league competitions also experience the same problem.

Losing Jurgen Klopp will have an impact on Liverpool because he has built the Liverpool squad to be stronger than before. Arsenal is experiencing good momentum where Arteta has succeeded in bringing Arsenal to become one of the title contenders in two consecutive seasons even though they failed both times.
Maybe I'm wrong, but the Premier League doesn't seem like the toughest championship to me, La Liga seems more difficult to me in this regard. A large number of injuries is not always related to how many matches a team needs to play, those who play in all top tournaments have approximately the same number of games, but there are teams that have almost no injured players, and there are those that have a lot of them, so the reason must be look in the coach, training, equipment (maybe uncomfortable shoes), there can be a lot of reasons.

Liverpool was left without Klopp, it seems to me that now it will be much more difficult for them, the choice of coach is also very important, and I think Liverpool could try better in this regard.
Everyone I believe is entitled to his opinion about which league is stronger between the English Premier League and the Spanish La Liga but for someone who's been watching football for over the past two decades, I think the English Premier League is the strongest and most difficult league in the world. In Spanish La Liga, the it's easier to predict the outcome of matches between the big teams and the small teams but that's not how it is in the English Premier League and that's why gamblers are always scared of the league. In the English Premier League, you'll see a small team that's struggling in the league go to beat the strongest teams in the league and it's something that happens on a regular.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has just left the club and the chances that the new manager will immediately start to record good results are very slim if you ask but let's not write off the Dutch manager yet and see what he can achieve at the club.

Premier League I agree in these last decades is much stronger than the Spanish La Liga.Even in these last couple of seasons you will notice that in the Premier League the title fight is much more vivid than in Spanish La Liga,we had the teams fighting for it up until the last couple of weeks in the Premier League while in Spanish La Liga the title fight was already over many weeks ago and for me this is one of the key indicators that shows if a league is strong or not.
I slightly disagree with you in terms of the premier League being stronger than Spanish league, this is a premier League that Manchester City have won the league for four straight times, breaking and setting a new record. For me the English premier league is already looking like farmers league where only one club holds sway, and that is bad for the upticks. Spanish league haven't been too special in their current antecedent, however we've send the likes of Girona and Barcelona still trying to give a good fight to Madrid though it's not a enough but the premier League for now is not better example, maybe the German bundesliga should be given that preference.
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: May 27, 2024, 10:40:46 AM
See this matter of investing in bitcoin is also something we should take seriously as much as we need to plan for our daily needs, we also have to understand that needs don't finish and they keeps coming up on daily basis, but as much as we have to take care of other things we have to understand that we have to take our investment in bitcoin very serious too. If someone is making a monthly income of $200 and he is investing only $10 I think it's very poor. If you are making monthly income of $200 you should at least invest 10% of the money which is $20 and I don't think it's too much. If $190 can carry you for a month, I think $180 will equally be enough to carry you for the moment. In as much as we are investing, we should also target to have a reasonable amount of fraction of bitcoin and to accumulate it, we have to make some certain level of sacrifice.
2 years ago, I did this for a year with only a small income but still struggled to allocate 10% of my income to Bitcoin. As time went by the income increased, I decided to increase the allocation from 10% to 30% until the peak of this year's ATH has provided significant profits. enough to create a dream home. I still hold the rest because for me investing in Bitcoin at any time has been an obligation from the start. There are no other options other than Bitcoin and an emergency fund. It has been proven that during long term investing we are able to feel the difference, especially from an economic perspective, both for basic needs in the kitchen and for going on holiday to the place we want to go.
It all comes back to investment discipline, the nominal amount issued is adjusted to your abilities. Don't feel left behind by other people because everyone's investment targets are different, make your own targets and once they are met, increase them according to the calculations that have been planned. As long as we have principles and discipline in investing, we will not deviate from the path. However, this cannot be separated from ensuring that the main income must be stable, or even if it is not stable, at least if you occasionally get income, it is preferable to increase investment assets.
Is so good to hear your journey on bitcoin, and i enjoyed the way you narrated it. it goes to tell people that bitcoin is not a quick fix way of making profit from an investment, people just don't want to go through the rituals of endurance and patient on investment. I saw how you where able to increase you allocation from 10% to 30% even up till the peak of this years ATH.  Hence you have a constant capital and your discipline with your investment plan,  surely the sky will be your beginning point.
469  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Repeated Verification Code Issues with Kucoin Withdrawals on: May 27, 2024, 09:45:01 AM
I encountered an issue yesterday with a particular exchange that sends a verification code to my mobile number before withdrawal. I wanted to withdraw some funds from Kucoin, and due to my security settings, I had to first enter my trading password and then, hit the "send verification code" button, which is supposed to send a code to my mobile number. However, after hitting the button the first time, I didn't receive any code until the counter ran out. I repeated the same process about three times until I received a notification that I had exhausted the number of attempts and needed to try again in two hours. Frustrated, I left it and went to bed.

This morning, I encountered the same issue. I had to go to my profile and unbind the mobile number from the app. Now, I have to wait 24 hours to attempt the transaction again.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? What did you do?
Yes i can relate, kucoin is the major culprit when it comes to that, that's is why I prefer most verification should be done through mail, because that's almost like automatic message sent to your mail, but the phone number, by the time you eventually get the verification code, it has timed out, and it will continually be repeating the same time out code and it can be very frustrating.
I encountered same too with Binance when I was completing my two factor verification method, I received the first mail and I entered the code sent, I waited for the code to be sent on the phone number to complete the verification process , Omo I wait so tey i begin lose weight.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆 The Emirates FA Cup - Season 2023/2024 on: May 25, 2024, 05:05:05 PM
Well hooooly cow, nobody expected this at all! United finished the season with FA cup, and they had one of the worst seasons they ever had this year, finishing the year with FA cup on a year that you considered terrible is beyond bonkers. I really assumed that City would be mad after UCL and would win this easily with a big margin. I really really did not see this coming, nobody did, a ton of people lost money on this bet for sure, it snot going to be that easy for people, but I am sure that bookies must be loving this lol. Think about all the money that was put to City to win, I am sure that billions were made just today from this game easily Cheesy Sometimes we just get unlucky, it happens.
Sincerely speaking, even as a united supporter i didn't see this coming. Though I understand Manchester united will try to prove a point because the world is watching, but not to this extent. Wan-Bissaka did a fantastic job with the close marking of Doku to a point he had to switch to the the right wing, though Doku still managed to score at the die minute. This victory has secured them a play in Europe for next season.  Onana was really disappointing for allowing that goal, he handled the ball with kids gloves, because ordinarily that ball wasn't supposed to enter the back of the net.
For people that we are betting for city to win and have lost good money, at least they would have considered that this is an FA cup final, it's not an ordinary game, is a game that have something at stake so anything can happen.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Converting bitcoin to fiat without problems on: May 25, 2024, 01:15:53 PM
You can easily convert your Bitcoin to fiat using your calculator and after then the best way is to sell your coins on an exchange that is available in your country. There are different exchanges like coinbase, Binance, kucoin that offers these services. Don't get it all wrong these exchanges do not directly buy your Bitcoin or USDT they will match you with a buyer in the exchange through the P2P area there you will see merchants and their prices.  Although the amount of taxes depends on your country of origin.

I agree with your explanation, but the P2P transactions done on exchange doesn't incur tax deduction from the receiver of the fiat, because from my experience, the fiat it's mostly transferred from the bank account of the person you've been paired with by the exchange, so it's basically like a normal cash entering into your bank account, except from the OP's country they deduct tax from any money entering into his account, which I strongly doubt of that kinf of situation.
472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: May 25, 2024, 11:48:17 AM
We have seen Bitcoin reach 70k USD and it even reached a point of 71k briefly. We are seeing history being made right here with the new all time high being set once again and it is happening even before halving.

I have high expectations that bitcoin will reach 100k but will it reach 100k without any major decline in price? Does it seem realistic that from 70k, bitcoin will continuously rise up?
From what has happened before, every time there is an increase in prices there will definitely be a decrease. When Bitcoin reaches its highest price, there will definitely be an unavoidable decline. It's just that we don't know to what extent Bitcoin's price will increase, and to what extent Bitcoin's price will decrease.
Nobody knows the price that bitcoin will increase to this coming bullrun, but I am sure that it will surely get to $100k. It's just like it's already programmed to happen that way. With the way I'm seeing it, the bullrun will not end until bitcoin get to $100k and above. As for decrease when the bear market finally return, that's what I can't really tell, last bullrun when bitcoin got to $69k after the bullrun bitcoin dropped to $15k thereabout, so with $100k that we are expected to see this bullrun, the bear market will also bite hard when it comes.
I agree with you on fact that nobody knows the price that Bitcoin will increase to, however a lot of investors have predicted it to reach $100, investors will still want to push the marketing till it's get to $100k before the end of the bull run that's if they can, because I see it as narrative that has been pushed into psychology and mindset of most investors at the moment that the price will get to $100k, and there lot of investors keying into that idea, but I don't want to see it as a propaganda that is pushed too far, i just want to the market forces to gradually take it course on the price increase.
473  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial fact that the authorities would not want you to know. on: May 25, 2024, 10:46:37 AM
I don't know how transparent and genuine other countries governments and their financial regulatory authorities has been with their citizens and the masses entirely, but speaking from experience, my late uncle who died during the the COVID-19 and left over $1,700 for the family in his bank account and after much processes the wife being the next of kin and the family as a whole has been unable to have access to the account and that is just how the money died off and only the government knows the fate of the fund til today.
In my country Nigeria, the government and the financial regulatory authorities has always kept hidden facts from us which would had been an added advantage to our knowledges and even contributes to precaution measures that we could avoid common mistakes that may seem insoluble or a long time to get solutions to it.

I recently came across this  https://youtu.be/s07NUfpPzSM?si=SY8wpCVbjgNHn2zy youTube video which a formal banker from Nigeria discloses about what the bank does not want us to know via how a next of kin would not be accessible to the benefitials bank account that if paraventurely the bank account holder dies, the bank will deny access from the next of Kin to the account if the next of kin is not an automatic signatory to the account or the account holder has not made a written will to determine the legitimacy of the next of kin.
So the bank would go a legal probate process to decide who gets the money.
Meanwhile... This legal probate in my country can take a very long time maybe years ahead to verify the processes which is definitely uneasy to meet up those tasks.
Even after the whole processes is being overcome, the next of kin would be demanded to pay huge sum of money for a legal fees to be able to have access to the account but meanwhile, the next of kin has been mentioned with all necessary requirements being provided during when the benefitial was on the bank account opening processes but the bank could not make the terms and conditions obviously for the account owner to take early awareness of it.

So this is assumed to be why the government and the financial regulatory authorities in my country has been fighting over cryptocurrencies facilitating crypto trading with the naira (#) on the Centralized P2P Exchanges.
The interest of the government is to control the centralized exchange with the forebeing of syphoning our Crypto funds.
Literally they also want to make away with our Crypto assets when we are gone and clearly stated and obvious, there is no next of kin attached to our Crypto Investments.
So, the government would want to also do away with them as they rebels us with the Centralized Fiats.

You can imagine how selfishly logical the governments can be? They tends not to let us know what is crucial and necessary but just concerned about how they can rebel the us.

For the issue of next of kin for any account holder in Nigerian Banks that I know, I know for sure that at the point of opening an account for every individual, there is a column for next of kin which is to be written down by the original account holder, so that should incase of any eventuality in the future, the next of kin will step in to request to be in charge of the account or withdraw the funds in the account. however this process is followed after there is an authentication and some level of proof from the next of king that he or she is actually the next of kin, most times they are legal documents signed from both sides which is the bank and the next of king.  for me I've seen that it has always been an easy process except for this particular case you're talking about.

As for the cryptocurrency market and the Nigerian government, I see that they've recently termed the crypto sector as informal sector that they cannot control the financial activity hence they want to use one sanction or the other to cripple the activities of cryptocurrency, forgetting that the whole idea of cryptocurrency is to decentralize it, so that government cannot control it. so this reality is what Nigerian government don't want to accept, hence the back and fought issues with crypto.
474  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My model of an ideal investment portfolio on: May 24, 2024, 08:24:52 PM
Building a good investment portfolio is one key area I've come to learn of its importance and in building a good portfolio, the decision to diversify your investment option into different sectors is Always key and from what I've read both on the forum and off the forum, it seems the concept of diversification of your portfolio tend to tilt more to investing into Bitcoin and altcoin which somehow appears a bit one sided as i feel that building a good and ideal portfolio should cover not just the digital sectors but should necessarily touch other aspect of our lives.

So I'm led to share how I intend building what I termed "my ideal investment portfolio" and I hope I can get some contributions and criticism if it's necessary to possibly help me make informed decision.

So here's my Ideal investment portfolio
1 To invest in my craft: I believe this should be the most important investment I should make and it involves ensuring that I'm updated in my skillset and that I get the relevant certification that will keep me relevant in my carrier.
2.To Invest in my proposed tech academy for kids  : This has been a long dream that's still lingering due to finance but I'm working and hoping to build a tech academy for kids in my locality since it seems they are interested in it but aren't previledged to have tech firms that's nearby the locality. I intend HODling my Bitcoin for possibly one circle and then use the proceeds to invest into this projects as it's bent on helping the kids and teenagers in my locality to becoming technologically inclined.
3. To Invest in Bitcoin   : I'm cureent DCAing to stack up a good chunk of Bitcoin which will help achieve part of my tech academy project and also serve as part of my diversified investment option.
4: invest in people    : this obviously is one area I can't ignore seeing that I'm a beneficiary of the investment someone made in me that has built me this far. I believe that investing in people can give greater returns than most of the investment option we have here and there and that's what my proposed tech academy for the kids and teenagers hopes to do.
5. To do long term Investment in Bitcoin and real estate   : once my four year investment plan becomes a success, I believe it's best to now focus more on building a Bitcoin stack for the long run that will serve my retirement needs and also venture into real estate which seams to be a good retirement plan outside of the decentralized financial system.

This is my personal plan on how best diversification of my portfolio can work well for me and I'm open to any impute and recommendations regarding this.

Sir @JayJuanGee seems to be too good on this kind of analysis and I would have loved to see his impute here.

OP you have a nice plan, which seem to me like a social plan system to give back to the society, I cannot criticise you on this journey because it is voluntary job that you intend to do out of your own goodwill.
Investing into the lives of the young generation is more like creating a part way for them to follow and over time they be masters at it. I also want to start something of this nature in the nearest future as way of contributing to the growth of humanity.
Using the DCA method to accumulate BTC and HODling for a complete circle will definitely give your project a facelift.

I have a younger brother who lives in the US and yesterday he told me about a call he received saying that he can get his lost coins back and all he needs to do is submit his wallet address.

Before saying that I am a fool, I know this is a scam, but I need to ask about what could possibly go wrong if he submit a wallet address? I did told him to submit a random wallet address that is empty with no single transactions in the past though but I can't stop thinking what this could lead to.

If you know their trick you can always be ahead of them and possibly be able to Warn others too, I am just wondering what they could possibly have in mind, I think they will track his transactions to know his worth. Or there is more? What do you think?

There's no point for your younger brother to submit an empty wallet because it is purely a scam, a lost coin that he cannot remember the process to access the wallet again, then the coin is lost almost forever.
Scammers will always tell you stories just to keep your hope alive, but the good thing is that you already know their trick.
However I won't say your a fool, maybe your just playing along with the scammer to make them think or feel comfortable just so that you can  apply delay tactics and frustrate them at the end of the day, but then i believe you should tell your brother to stop communicating with the scammer, possibly block him, because it might get to a point the scammer might ask for some else from your brother and he may not let you know about it, so it's better they stop communicating.

After I saw the outcome of the Europa League finals yesterday, I have decided not to underestimate any club that is playing the finals because if they are not strong, they will no be in the finals. I still believe that Real Madrid will win Dortmund because they have good players and strikers that are hungry for goals, which they will like to put down their names on the score sheet of the champions league finals.

Dortmund on the other hand needs to play with confidence and have a game strategy to work with in order for them to resist defeat from Real Madrid. I believe the match will be filled with thrills, I will placemy bet on Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti is a quite experienced coach, he has been through quite a lot in the Champions League. Therefore, I am sure that he respects every opponent, especially in the final match. Don Carlo remains grounded even though his team is the favorite. Dortmund also has big ambitions to win the title, it is very possible for them to appear all out and carefree even though they are not seeded. Yes, the results of the European League final match can be a reference that there is no guarantee that the team that is favored will be able to perform well, in fact the team that is not seeded will play without burden so that they have very much freedom in controlling the field. But will another miracle happen in the UCL final? However, I hope that this match can produce an exciting and one-sided match.
Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most successful managers of all time and has won several UCL trophies for Real Madrid. Although the final match is very difficult for Real Madrid in other seasons, this season at least the final match will not be so difficult for Real Madrid and maybe this season Real Madrid will be able to plan the final match very naturally. Of all the players Real Madrid have, if Carlo Ancelotti drops his preferred XI, Dortmund won't do much against this team. If the final match needs a lot of planning, I'd say Dortmund needs to plan. Real Madrid has multiple strikers and the midfielders of Real Madrid play a lot of attacking football, but it is a very big question which midfielder will be tagged by the opposing defenders or which striker will be tagged.
I certainly wouldn't say that this match, with any of the lineups for the match, will be easy for Real Madrid. This is the Champions League, especially the final - unpredictability is the key word that should be used here. Dortmund may well win this match, yes, it will be incredibly difficult, but theoretically it is possible. I will be rooting for them in the final, Real are boring to watch in this tournament, they have won it a bunch of times
Just apart from Madrid winning it many times and of course allowing Dortmund who has just alone won the title just once in their life time which is back then since 1997, but if we are to judge from performance Madrid is to win the finals. From what I saw happened between Atalanta Vs Leverkusen in the EUROPA league final, I may have to clear my doubt and hoping that Dortmund still have a chance against Madrid. Finals like this is meant to be tough, so Madrid may find it very difficult to secure the win but even they still remain the favourites with the best possibility of winning.
I've always emphasizes that the Dortmund side are too dangerous to be seen as underdogs, just like the game of Atalanta Vs Bayern Leverkusen, we already thought that Leverkusen will trash Atalanta, not until the surprising thing happened. So I'm of the opinion that people should look out for Dortmund, as they have same potentials as Atalanta.
Madrid are the favourite to win no doubt, but we are analysing the possible outcome, which is even if Madrid wins, it not going to be rollercoaster victory, considering the trajectory at which Dortmund have been winning their champions League games and their fierce defensive pattern.

The market for coaches in the EPL has recently become busier and this time it's West Ham's turn to just announce their new coach, Julen Lopetegui. As is known, he is an experienced coach and has managed big teams like Real Madrid before and has also managed another EPL team, namely Wolves.

Now West Ham seems to have found a worthy replacement for David Moyes and they will certainly be very happy to be in the cool hands of Julen Lopetegui. This season West Ham finished in 9th position and in fact this team has made good progress over the last two seasons. I hope they can find their best game again under the guidance of Julen Lopetegui and can compete against other teams again in the coming season.
Julen Lopetegui is a great choice. I think West Ham will be able to develop more with Julen Lopetegui. But what I mean by progress may not be progress that is too big. but maybe West Ham can get a better ranking next season. West Ham has succeeded in getting a new coach. And now we just have to wait which coach Chelsea will successfully bring in.
I am very much in support of West ham changing their coach. This does not in any way mean that David Moyes is not a good coach. Moyes has done a very nice job in West ham United. I could remember when West ham was no a name in the English Premier League but today Westham is a good name. If not that this season was not favorable for the West ham team, I can remember that last two seasons and the last season was good for West ham. In fact in the European competition West ham went on beating throughout their group stage in the Europa League. The last two seasons, they also fought very well for top four which they maintained till the 11th hour when is slided. So this shows that David Moyes has done a good work in the Westham United club.

But then I am a believer of a fresh blood after some seasons. Honestly I really thought that day combination of Bowen, Muhammad kudus and Antonio would do a better work for West ham this season, but it did not turn out to be so. As sincerely believe that a new coach could do something better with these boys in the coming season.
As for me the only job i know that David Moyes would have done for West Ham and it will have been significant was for him to have at least gotten a draw against Manchester City on the last day of the league,  However David Moyes is a fine coach but he has been too unfortunate with his career, I remember when he was hired to replace sir Alex Ferguson for the Manchester United job, United remained on the 7th position week in week out throughout the season, Though some people said Manchester United was a big shoe for him. For The club management to bring in a new coach is a bit surprising to me, at least Moyes was able to bring them to 9th position at the end league, they would have still kept him, left alone with me especially with his wealth of experience in the premier league.

On a scale of 1-10 I will say 9 out of every 10 are addicted to making more money even though not everyone attain this height at the end of the day. We live in an every hiking economic society. Prices of commodities keep changing as each day passes by. This has invariably triggered the addiction to more money as the usual earnings is no longer enough to maintain once life style.

Many have been forced into adapting to their current spending ability, others have deviced means to earn more so as to meet up others has choosen the looting method just to survive.

Based on this Ninety percent of people in every sector of life has higher chances of looting only that most people are not privileged to get the opportunity to carryout what's in their minds
OP when you talk about looting, in what aspect are you referring to, or are you insinuating that a lot of the people are looting to survive.
Because there's no justification to this allegation that you are accusing against people. A lot of people in the society are living a modest life within their income, and they are not looting to survive.
Talking about addiction to making more money, lot of persons are only working to earn a living, so they can get money to buy the basic things they need, that shouldn't be seen as addiction. however hence your earning is high your spending too will follow suit. So for me you need to still explain the kind of looting method you're talking about that people use to survive.

Apart from the fact that Bitcoin is meant to reach a new ATH after every circle do you know that Bitcoin price can stay for a very long time before reaching an all time high again due to the fact that it has already gotten an ATH before the halving so all we are doing is speculations and this speculations depends on the effect the market will create so if there is no much investors buying Bitcoin you can't expect the price to skyrocket.
Should this be our primary concern right now? No, this shouldn't be our primary concern right now as a long term holder, because with the little knowledge I have gotten about all this is that, the current price of Bitcoin and it current state shouldn't be our primary concern right now, what we should be more focused on is to have a very good stash of Bitcoin in our possession, so I wish to ask you @cryptoprinces101, if Bitcoin create a new all time high as you are talking of,  like moving to 100k, would you be a great benefactor with your current holdings?
Nice question Barikui101, basically I have a long term target and with the amount of Bitcoins in my portfolio now if the price hit $100k I will be a beneficiary but it doesn't implies that I will sell my holdings because checking at the price I started hodling and if the price hit $100k dollars the profit I will get cannot match my target because as a hodler you need to set out target for yourself incase you meet your target you can decide sell your Bitcoins but for the fact that you have met your target doesn't mean you should stop hodling you need to continue till you have acquired a very huge amount in your portfolio.
Although we don't face much of a problem when we are just holding and accumulating every time bitcoin drops. But, some time in the future when our target is reached and bitcoin have  surpassed the 6 digit figure, that would impose another challenge to our investments decisions, whether or not we sell everything we have, sell portions of it and continue holding, or just buy back at some point when bitcoin experienced another sharp bearish correction.

Does not sound like a dilemma to me.

I doubt that it is a good idea for anyone to sell BTC with an expectation of buying back lower, and if anyone is in the stages of accumulating bitcoin, the best way to accumulate bitcoin is by buying it.  Not by selling it.
Anyone selling Bitcoin at the early stage of their investments while still accumulating with the believe that they want to wait for the price to fall in order for them to rebuy it is really an unserious person however the early stage of investment is about accumulating and not to think about selling even after making some profits in the short run.
Any investor who is selling his bitcoin investment for short-term profit is just messing up and delaying his bitcoin accumulation journey. That person can never buy back the same quantity of bitcoin he or she sold because bitcoin will not dip to the price that will make that person buy back the same quantity of bitcoin. Even if the person buys back bitcoin, he will not be making the same profit as the person who accumulated the same quantity of bitcoin with him and held it for the long term.

Quote
Basically anyone selling their Bitcoin to purchase inferior assets is a naive person because you can't sell a valuable asset like Bitcoin just to buy some low level assets that will take you backwards instead of increasing your wealth and investment. And before selling one's Bitcoin mapping out plans on how to spend the money judiciously on valuable assets should be taken with high priority.
That is why it is good for people not to invest their whole money in bitcoin so that they will not wake up one day and decide to sell their bitcoin and buy a computer or something else. People should always invest in bitcoin with the money they can do without for a long time so that they will not think of selling their bitcoin to survive. The only thing that could make someone sell his bitcoin is when it is a life-threatening issue, and there's no other means to save the life of the person in question if not to sell your bitcoin to raise the money needed for the person to be alive.
Some investors are short term investors, they just want to check out once they feel the need to. Psychological people have a different approach to investment, their intention might be that they don't want to reinvest, so technically even when the price of Bitcoin is high and they come later in the future to invest, don't be surprised that they might still take their profit in a short term, because holding for a long time is not really their priority.

Talking about investors that go all in, I terms of investment, as for Bitcoin definitely there will be a profit at the end of the day, but it is not advisable anywhere in the world for you to put all your eggs in one basket, investment in Bitcoin should be on a gradual level for an investor that don't have much, so I agree with you that people should invest in Bitcoin with money they know they can do without for a long time.
