461  Economy / Economics / Re: Leadership and Economics on: January 31, 2024, 02:37:45 PM
The figure of a leader is very important for the economic growth of a region because the rules he makes will boost the rate of economic growth when it occurs effectively. investors will also feel comfortable with the right leader because their trust in their funds is well maintained, now there are many examples of countries experiencing good economic growth because they chose the right leader

what about you, do you agree with the right leader can make your life as a citizen, businessman or an investor comfortable?

I so much believe in right leadership as a panacea to the sustainable development growth of a a family, a community, a society and a country at large. Good Leadership brings about the creation of policies and when there are great policies put in place in a family or in a community level,  it grows to become a sustainable development growth and economic stability of that particular environment.

Why I kept on mentioning family is because leadership begin from home like charity would begin from home, as well. So, having a right leader starts from having the right person to be the family head and when there is a great family coordination, the economy of that family bolsters which also replicates to the community, state and the entire country.

This is why whenever we talk about selecting or electing a leader to lead the country, the first thing I do as a criteria check is to make sure that I look at the leadership style of that leader at his family level.

What are his knowledge about the financial management and how is he able to manage the finances of his own family, the expenditures and profits of his businesses and whether he's doing well as a business person or even managing is businesses in the right direction, are the Criterion that I use to judge whether we are going to have a good leader who drive a positive economy or not.

So, for someone like me, having a right leader is equivalent to having the a great economy in a country therefore it is imperative for us to know those who lead us and what are their knowledge on the economy and financial discipline.
462  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How do nodes confirm transactions and determine if a block is valid or not on: January 31, 2024, 09:16:33 AM
hosseinimr93's explanation was excellent. If you have questions regarding the network in general, I suggest you visit learnmeabitcoin.com and bitcoin.it.

I would have also ordinarily ask him to visit those websites, especially, learnmeabitcoin where I also got informed about these technicalities, for him to get more information about nodes and validation of transactions.

Permit me to cite an example with the relevance of nodes in a transaction as has being an HTML in a web development for people who understands web and I'm citing this example because it is great to understand how crucial nodes are to validation of transactions. This is how it happens whenever a user sends a transaction it is sent across all the nodes that are available in the network. Afterwards, every node then go ahead to independently verify if the sender of the transaction has the funds he's sending across the network and whether it meets their consensus agreement in the network.

When these transactions are then group together it is called block and this block pass through the process called mining and mining is just a mathematical problem that is being solved so when that mathematical problem has been solved correctly, by a node, that first node gets the ability to be able to move the block into a blockchain which then serves as the security of the blockchain.

So realize that I said that all this block have to pass through a process called mining and it also have to be certified by other nodes that are in the network or the in the transaction chain, so that process of trying to certify it and getting every other node to agree based on the consensus agreement of the block transaction is what makes a secure, valid transaction for every other nodes in the network which brings about trust and the concept of decentralisation in Bitcoin
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 30, 2024, 10:10:22 PM
This have taught me that even the best team at some point can still not win the trophy in a tournament so looking down on any team may just be a mistake as you may be very wrong by judging them by their previous performance, they may have improved and gotten even better and beat a "big team".

Senegal defeat was unfortunate against Ivory Coast but it is penalties after all, hazardous.. Egypt also lost their match after being unlucky in penalties.
These teams although being better theoretically, couldn't win their games because they weren't able to score more than 1 goal in 90 minutes..
Until now I see only Nigeria as the best and classical team going to Quarter-final. Guinea and Ivory Coast aren't that bad too and might be annoying for the super eagles

I will start by expressing how deeply saddened I am about the Senegal losing that match yesterday. With the way Senegal was playing Ivory Coast yesterday, I never thought they were going to give in at the penalty shootouts. The gameplay of Ivory Coast yesterday and their ability to be able to win that match only goes on to say that if Nigeria can put their shoes on properly, they will stand a chance to win this year's AFCON because they have every reasons why they should win this.

As for Egypt, I didn't really watch their match yesterday so I can't say anything about the game but Nigeria stand a very great chance to become the Champions for this tournament. So let's enjoy the moment.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 30, 2024, 10:00:36 PM
Arsenal definitely will score if they keep push forward same as the 1st half, I guess it will be 0 - 2 for Arsenal.
Arteta seems very nervous in the pitch, while Notthingham manager looks hopeless to see their players only able to play defensive for the whole 45 minutes.

Arteta must be feeling like the most fulfilled manager of Arsenal like this with the great milestones tonight. Recently, Arteta has continued to make some strong forms including in their 5 – 0 win over Crystal Palace more than a week ago.

The 1 – 2 win over Nottingham Forest in the City Ground was another omen that has been broken by Arteta tonight. Because for the last three visits that Arsenal have had in the City Ground, none of the matches gave them a win. In fact, they've been losing. So for them to be able to win tonight also means that they're keeping their title hopes alive and that's a great win for today. Kudos to Arteta. Kudos to Saka. Kudos to Jesus.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the challenges people who accept bitcoin face in their businesses face on: January 30, 2024, 07:55:49 PM
I've read some post about businesses accepting bitcoin and I want to know if they also face those challenges mentioned above and how do they face and solve these challenges as I think this initiative in my local community will also help to raise awareness about bitcoin and since I'm still new in the space, I would love to spread the news of bitcoin but I think it will be at the right time when I get the required knowledge.

Well, the fact that the invention of Bitcoin is almost 15 years ago, doesn't clear the fact that people all over the world, are still finding this technology a new thing and are gradually being informed and trying to adopt the technology of cryptocurrencies. So, as a business owner, you are likely to face two problems, one which I will discuss in this segment and the other which I will give to the next person here.

For this, you are going to face issues with your direct customers and clients who are patronizing your products or services in terms of making payments. Not a lot of customers are ready to make payments to you using your wallet address, especially when you are still a small business and dealing with petty trades out there.

Setting up a business in a developing country, like Nigeria, will amount to almost 0 participation in customers that are willing to pay to your wallet address rather 99% of them would prefer to make payments via Bank accounts, traditional banks or online banks than to use the new invent of wallet address or cryptocurrencies.

As far as I know, there are 2 main problems facing businesses that accept bitcoin as their payment.

1. Transaction fees
From the screenshot you provided, I estimate that the price of 1 item there is under $0.5 - $1, meanwhile based on current mempool data, to get a high priority transaction, it costs around $2.37. This means that people who want to make transactions will experience losses there so they will give up their intention to pay using Bitcoin.

Solution: Using a centralized/off-chain service that does not require moving bitcoin on-chain.

2. Laws in a country
This problem depends on the jurisdiction where you live, but especially in the country I live in, we are not allowed to use any crypto including bitcoin in transactions. This law has a significant impact on business actors, because they cannot differentiate and offer other payment method to make things easier for their clients/customers.

The second aspect is what I will discuss here, which is the transaction fee like you rightly mentioned above and the laws of the country.

For a country like Nigeria that just lifted the ban on cryptocurrencies, although have not allowed the full implementation of that policy, which implies that banks are not allowed to make transactions using cryptocurrencies, it becomes a lot sketchy for a business to make use of those modes of payment in a day-to-day business arena.

The transaction fee which has been increasing almos by the day is another plague in the adoption of Bitcoin  transactions for small businesses. Let's say, for instance, if you are making $100 sales a day and you're forced to remove transaction fee that is up to more-or-less $3 to $5 in a single transaction, what do you then realize at the end of your business day.

Why can't you make use of the normal mode of payment and redeem those transaction fees that you lose during the process of using Bitcoin.
466  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: A year profit investment to choose on: January 30, 2024, 07:29:56 PM
For me na Bitcoin I go recommend for per wey wan invest that kind of amount oo, because if that person fit get patience keep em investment for only two years sef e go hit better profit. Through the price dey volatile and we no go fit give 100% predictions accurately but make we get that believe say e go go up due to the law of demand and supply. Even minus the halving bull run sef, Bitcoin naim be still th best wey I fit recommend give anybody. Especially now wey the price don go down small naim be the best time to buy so that any small increase go reflect for your portfolio.

A lot of people have been talking about this bull season and many of us have also been advised to keep our finances safe so that we invest as much as possible to Bitcoin for the sake of the Bull run season.

But for me, it's still something that you need to understand and make those decisions that you are aware of. Before you start investing, make sure you understand what it means to take advantage of this bull season.

Now that people are talking about it, it is the best time for you to research more about what it means and when to put a Stop Loss to your investment.

Let me also use this opportunity to ask our genius and our senior colleagues here whether it is better for one to invest in a Lump Sum approach or whether to invest in a DCA approach.
467  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Kids in Nigeria should be taught financial education and literacy. on: January 30, 2024, 07:16:56 PM
To help your pikin build financial literacy skills na like to give dem superpower wey go help dem for their whole life. See some of the great things wey fit happen when your pikin learn about money from early stage:

Buddy this is one aspect of the financial life that I feel like we need to give more attention to right now, it is very important for us to give our children the knowledge of what monetary resources are and how they should properly manage their finances from their childhood.

They need to first understand the value of currencies and the benefits of savings and investments and I don't want this to be streamlined to the efforts of the schools alone, but I also want the parents to take that burden onto themselves, to educate their children on what it means to have a prudent financial life because if your kids are properly informed about these financial decisions from beginning, it becomes easier for them to take decisions and manage the resources that are availed to them at a particular point in time.

Many of us today suffer from this issue of financial mismanagement because up till today we are still struggling to learn how to manage our finances. So, just imagine if we've been taught of these things from our early age, it would have become a lot easier for us now to take good care of our finances rather than trying to learn how to do it right now.

Families have been broken down here in Nigeria for lack of financial planning and these things are happening at the parental stage, not even at the stage of the kids. Now, imagine the great impact this is going to have on our next generation, if and only if our parents, who already have the financial discipline, can replicate that to their kids.

The key benefits that comes with acquiring these financial knowledge at one's tender age is that it not only helps the individual to have that financial discipline but it also contributes to the economy of the community, at large.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 29, 2024, 05:29:18 AM
Girona managed to win away to Celta Vigo and continue to lead the league.Obviously such a performance was not expected and they are in a neck and neck title race with Real Madrid.Even though Real Madrid have one game less, the fact that they are now leading even with a game in hand has certainly boosted their confidence. They have a good squad and with this squad they will be able to do well even in the champions league even if they don't become champions.Girona will fight until the last weeks with the hope of becoming champions and will try not to lose matches, but I don't think Real Madrid will give the championship.

Girona has gotten for themselves that mark of respect as far as playing football is concerned and this season of La Liga. They are leading with one point ahead of Real Madrid and they have been consistent leading the league for a while now.

What I cannot wait for is the day that Real Madrid would play against Girona, which is going to happen on the 10th of February 2024. On that day, I know Real Madrid will try to do their best in terms of making sure that they win that match, but I'm also sure that Ancelotti cannot give you a guarantee win right now about whether he can score that match or not.

On the other hand, I'm also confident in Michel and I know Michel can do something to win that match on that very day. Well, let's see and watch the Champions of the La Liga league play together on that 10th.

Girona was very lucky because he was able to beat Celta who were the hosts in that match. Rafael Benitez used a 3-4-3 formation against Girona but the results were quite good because he was able to break through Girona's defense but unfortunately Celta's utilization of opportunities was still not optimal and it was a great shame ended in defeat for Celta.

Gone are those days when I think Girona was lucky to win each and every piece of match that they play. My thoughts then were more of, how comes Girona is at the top of the league. When there are more big clubs that are stronger and they are referred to as star clubs in the league of which Girona is not among.

But right now there's nothing like luck again as far as Girona winning Celta is concerned. And I will give you a detailed understanding of why I would say so.

Girona got 15 shots to 10 shots of Celta in the match. Girona also had more shots on target than Celta did. Girona also got more possession than Celta did. Girona had 567 passes whereas Celta got only 367 passes. In the accuracy of the passes, Girona got 84% whereas Celta got 76%. Girona also got more corners than Celta did. Girona had less fouls than Celta did. So, even if Celta was the host of the game, Girona has continued to show that power and boldness to win their matches.

Quote
Yes, Barcelona now has to go down in ranking because Atletico Madrid won against Valencia with a score of 2-0. Yes, the presence of Depay will certainly make Atletico Madrid more enthusiastic and hopefully Depay will continue to produce his best performance and hopefully he won't get injured again.

With Atletico Madrids goal yesterday, they were able to move a step ahead of Barcelona on the table standing right now. The problem is Barcelona is not really promising this time around and the issue lies on the management of the team.

Though, I am a lover of Xavi as Barcelona coach, I must also say that Xavi has not really performed as much as he should as a manager of a top club like Barcelona. This is not because he is not willing to do anything about that, but it is quite obvious that he doesn't have the capacity to manage the players that are available to him which is causing him this low performance and inconsistent performance in this season.
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 29, 2024, 04:34:55 AM
Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?

You see, I think this is where the misunderstanding lies when we talk about gambling addiction. Not all gamblers or successful gamblers are gambling addicts.

Whenever you hear about gambling addiction It means those that are not positively impacted by gambling and because they could not control their habits in gambling, they cannot put a boundary to themselves in the way that they gamble.

When someone is referred to as a gambling addict, it means that person does not have the capacity any longer to be able to control the way he or she gambles even when he is losing in gambling, he cannot stop it. An addiction in gambling is oftentimes associated with psychological issues not to be able to stop gambling. And even when a gambler is losing all his assets, he still wants to gamble.

It is generally a problem in gambling to be addicted to gambling, but that does not mean that you cannot be a successful person until you become an addict. No! Anybody that is able to control the way he/she gambles and time at which he/she engages in gambling, that person will no longer be referred to as a gambling addict. I hope you understand this. Thank you.
470  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto exchanges license difficulty in Nigeria on: January 29, 2024, 04:16:40 AM
If someone or group of people that wants to establish an exchange in Nigeria do not have up to that amount of money, did you think that exchange would be secure enough? There are people that would be employed for security purposes and also that to setup an exchange these days would require huge amount of money. I do not know if these people that are complaining are right or wrong. So you have anything to post about this? How much in naira do you think can be a good startup for new exchanges in Nigeria?

I may not have in-depth knowledge about how these capital caps should be for exchange companies to be established in Nigeria, but I also do not see it as too much of a monetary requirement for any serious business man.

For any Company that is out there to make money with Nigerians as far as exchanges are concerned, It is imperative for us to know that these are not physical banks or even traditional banks, but these are online exchanges that do not have any physical outfits here.

So we only have SEC, CBN and NIBSS as our own regulatory agencies and bodies that will poise a security to our money. This is just to ensure that our financial assets are safe and protected with the license cap.
471  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Is Bitcoin mining a profitable business? on: January 28, 2024, 09:57:51 PM

Questions
1. With the large population of miners around the world, could every miner earn a reward at least once a month?
2. If it's impossible for every miner to earn at least once a month, does that mean that mining is not a profitable business?

Well, as to whether miners are going to earn money every month or not, it's not really something that someone can completely identify because of a number of factors that there are different. There are a great population of people mining out there in different places of the world, the number of people mining is humongous right now already. there is no any specific guarantee that could come from anybody that can specify that as a miner you must earn every month.

However, not earning every month does not really mean that you cannot even be big in the Bitcoin mining industry. All it takes for you is for you to be able to join a great mining pool, I think that is better than you just being a Solo Miner.

So that when you join a mining pool, you have the opportunity to be able to do more creative things within the circle and industry, and as well you need that funding to be able to do quite a number of things, for example, an affordable electricity, to earn rewards that you are planning or that you are aiming in the mining industry even if it is not monthly though.
472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon "Satoshi will come back and erase bitcoin" on: January 28, 2024, 09:44:20 PM
Satoshi no longer has access to being a core dev, and it's written in to the blockchain that 21 million is the supply cap.  I hate this man with a passion, and trust me I know hate is a very strong word.

Like, seriously, isn't this funny? Although I don't take Jamie Dimon as a serious person when it comes to taking people's opinion as far as Bitcoin is concerned or even the future of Bitcoin, really.

Secondly, it is great to know that Bitcoin is an open-source technology and what that means is virtually all the users of Bitcoin have a control, in a way, over how it operates and nobody has a control over the future of Bitcoin because it's a people oriented platform. So, let's even assume today Satoshi Nakamoto is to come into limelight. I don't think he has a strong opinion or any strong effect on the development of Bitcoin and there are no any back-door control room in Bitcoin. If there was something like a control room for Bitcoin, people with more knowledge about the Devs of Bitcoin must have mentioned such a thing.

Lastly, the 21 million BTC cap. It's not even going to happen now, so why worry about it in the 1st place? For me it doesn't make any sense, rather it's coming out from a pessimist like Jamie Dimon. Laughs.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 27, 2024, 11:20:47 PM
For me, this is one of the most silliest decisions to make as far as I'm concerned because this doesn't need any kind of explanation or experience really before you would know that it is a wrong move for you to carry a loan that you acquired to play gambling. Could it be as a result of you thinking that you are sure of what you are gambling about and then you need to get the odds right or you already have the odds right and because of that you now want to play gambling with the money that you loaned. That is a very wrong decision.

Considering the fact that there's no assurance when you gamble, the results that comes out of it, whether positive or negative. Or as 50/50. So because of the high risk, taking a loan in the name of gambling for anyone who is doing that right now, I think it will only be a brotherly advise to inform that person, not to engage in things like that because that will result to acquiring more depth and financial troubles to yourself than you already have.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 27, 2024, 11:12:01 PM
I also agree with you, actually the problem currently being experienced by Barcelona is that Xavi is unable to provide a good strategy for Barcelona, just look at how Leverkusen is currently turning into a great team even though Leverkusen's squad is very low but Alonso is a great coach If he is able to maximize the abilities of the players he trains, Xavi should imitate what Alonso is doing.
In my opinion, Barcelona currently has an extraordinary squad, the current Barcelona squad is one of the best in the world so buying new players would just be a waste of money. I read the news that Xavi still really wants Bernado Silva, Xavi believes that if Silva is in the Barcelona squad then Barcelona's performance will improve this season, I see this as impossible because Silva is still very comfortable in Man City.

I have said this before, and I'm going to mention it here again, that Xavi does not have that capacity to be able to deliver Barcelona, not because he doesn't want to do that. So, every time he's trying to use a strategy to manage the team, it seems like that strategy does not work for him.

He has great players who are very young and want to deliver, but what he doesn't have is enough of experienced players that are playing in the mix of those young players who already have the agility and have the passion to deliver, but they don't have the experience.

Take a good look at how Guardiola is currently managing Manchester City. It's a mix of old players or experienced players and young players. But we have the likes of Kevin de Bruyne is in the match to standardize the game and to put confidence in the players. Then the likes of Halaand who are always ready to score goals as the gold machine to put in goals into the net.

So when you look reflects to Barcelona. You may have only a very few old players in their midst, or you may only say Lewandowski alone. So Xavi needs to understand some of those things and get the best way he can manage the very strong squad that he has. Leverkusen has also been able to do well in their own regards.

Girona must continue to work hard and still have a solid team to always be able to win every match. Girona this season shows that teams that have just entered La Liga have the opportunity to be at the top of the standings. The difference in points between first and second place is very thin, and Girona must win the next match in order to maintain their position at the top of the standings.

I must attest to the fact that Girona is doing extremely well in this season and all kudos go to the President of the club and then to Michel, who has been a great manager managing these guys so far. But the truth of the matter is the president needs to be appreciated because he's a great guy who is doing great work in both the teams that he has under him.

In them, maybe we can also say that the president is giving the managers a listening ear in terms of the chemistry of players they need to play in the league and maybe that's why they've been achieving mastery in their games. Great work, Girona.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 27, 2024, 10:55:10 PM
That’s very sad to hear from a Nigerian. You should at least try having some faith in your team. Cameroon haven’t been impressive in the tournament so far, why would you write Nigeria off to a opponent that’s not even better than them? I can’t say I’m pleased with the style of football José Peseiro making our boys play. Nigerians are calm because he's getting the results miraculously. In the end what is important in football is the three points.

P.S. The game between Nigeria and Cameroon is on Saturday. You keep saying tomorrow. Are you even following the AFCON?
.

Pokapoka, you don't have to say a lot with him. You don't really have to respond to what he's saying because it's obvious that he's just a fan of Cameroon, or better say, and not a fan of Nigeria, So maybe he's one of those that are not wishing Nigeria well or are seeing Nigeria as a threa, in the AFCON competition, but the truth of the matter is Nigeria have all it takes to win in this match today and every other person that thinks that Nigeria cannot beat Cameroon is wrong. Now that it has happened, then let's hear from them again.

For the first time in this tournament I'm feeling confident that the Nigerian team is going to progress past the Cameron. The Nigerian are playing a very compact games and they are not allowing many goals into their own net. I can't really say this about their opponent. Osimhen has to start scoring goals, he is a big name and much is expected from him. He has to find his goal scoring shots and do what a stricker of his caliber is supposed to do.

I think the more we expect from Victor Osimhen, the less he performs. You won't say no to the performances that Victor Osimhen has done so far. You won't also embrace him as much because he has not made much goals as people have expected him to do, but that is even the issue for him.

So the more people expecting more goals from him, the less he is able to deliver the goals because at every opportunity that lies in his hand, he only wants to make people proud. We are not allowing Victor Osimhen to play his natural game. Rather, we are forcing him to be that super player that is playing in the midst of other players, which may not necessarily be the case.

And every player too has his ways of responding to pressure from people, Maybe Victor Osimhen is not good at resisting pressures from fans and that could be another factor that will affect his performance in this tournament, but so far so good Inasmuch as Nigeria is still in the tournament and Victor Osimhen has assisted in some of the goals that have been conceived to have even made Nigeria go to where it is now, we will still rate him as a star that he is.
476  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Economic inflation the reason for bitcoin investment/adoption on: January 27, 2024, 10:14:22 PM
Well, I don't know how this will look like to other members on this platform, but for me, no situation should prompt or rush you into investing in Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Let be it be a thing of choice that is well thought of by the choice maker before that person can decide to start to invest in Bitcoin.

The reason why I'm giving this advice is that so many people would start from a beginning with humongous amount of investment and then at the short run they come to cry that their money is gone.

If I was the one, I would have put it in a way that  encourages a lot of people to go into learning Bitcoin for the 1st time, understanding what it means to invest in the currency. Because I don't know why you should be using the currency for investment in the 1st place and there's no prior knowledge about how the platform operates.

It's key critical for every other person that is investing to make sure that he knows why he's investing.

So first and foremost, even if the economy of your country is biting your business and you want to invest in cryptocurrency, I would advise you to go and learn the intricacies as far as crypto or Bitcoin investment is concerned.

Also touch on knowledge about the Bitcoin market trend. when there is an upscale or when there is an upward movement of the bitcoin value in the market or when there is a Bear run in the value market of Bitcoin. Some of these knowledges are going to help you really in terms of making decisions during your process of investment and when you feel like you should take out the investment completely or should not. They are hard decisions that you may want to take without making mistake whilst investing huge sum of money in Bitcoin.
477  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria Has Happened to Me:Shutting Down my Business After a Year of Operations on: January 27, 2024, 09:55:47 PM
Sadly, after a year of operations, I have reluctantly decided to close down the business. Inflation has taken a toll, making it financially unsustainable. The monthly maintenance cost has surged to over a hundred thousand naira. To provide context, a 15KG bag of booster dog food, which was priced at 30k a year ago, now exceeds 50k, and I purchase it every three weeks. Additional supplements and costs amount to over 40k every three weeks, pushing the monthly expenses well over 100k. Realistically, this figure is expected to rise.

The ease of doing business in Nigeria is absolutely poor right as many small and medium enterprises are suffering seriously from the biting economic situation bedeviling our country today. Nigeria must be better but of course not through our style of leadership which is closely related to Kleptocracy.

A lot of things are attached to the reason why we are suffering from our businesses in Nigeria, especially as far as small and medium enterprises are concerned, an example is your own dog business, because we usually have issues around even the funding, so because you don't have a lot of money that you can use to start your business and you're suffering from, Your capitals that you're already using, plus how things are becoming difficult by the day in terms of inflation and whatnot, it become very difficult for you to continue with your business.

Now any business that you do today, I believe you are doing it for the sake of making profits and at the same time you are doing it with your expenses, with the intention that you are going to recoup back at least what you spent in the business. But when what it takes you to maintain that same business is even higher than the expected expenditure, I mean the expected profits that you want to bring into the business, it becomes worse.

Why it is worse is because you may end up running down all your costs or all the money that you have budgeted for the plan that you have. In your mind, but yet you've not even gained any profit in the business. So this is one reason why a lot of small businesses do suffer in Nigeria.

Another thing that your kind of business is also doing so far is infrastructural challenges. Infrastructural challenges in the sense that some of your businesses require electricity, your dogs too would require to have light, and in that regards, you need to provide electricity, if not constant electricity for them, but when the infrastructural development of the country is completely bad and the country is suffering from epilepsy power supply. Then you would be challenged to go and get an external podf supply, in that regards, you're forced to get fuel for your generator or anything.

Now imagine that you are doing business already and the economy is biting you. You are finding it very difficult because of the economic challenges as far as the instability of price of things are concerned, which is inflation, there is also an issue of exchange rates.

You know which means the dollar rate is becoming higher than every other person can would expect in the history of, Nigerian Forex and other things too that are happening in the state. Would stop you from doing your business. If you don't have any well established external sources of making money, you're almost gone in the street and I think that is exactly what this is reflecting today.

But i would encourage you to keep on with business keep looking for your potential customers and you can also increase the prices of your Dogs so that you would get more patronage from people and more importantly be able to match up you are getting there with the expenditure.

Many people get fascinated about these dating sites of a thing, and because of that, they don't even verify or scrutinize the kind of apps or sites that they go into. All they're just interested in they want to make new friends and do some hookups on those platforms.

Now what people face when they are trying to register in some of those dating sites is that they begin to grant some kind of authorizations to their phones and through those authorizations these hackers use that to penetrate their system, gain access to the data and information they need, and be able to compromise the system as a whole.

So it is very important to be very careful about whatever dating sites that you see out there that is being promoted. I am not against dating sites, but people often used  it to defraud other people, so it is therefore imperative as a person to take note. And be warry about things like that. Viola.

Firstly it is good to establish that they are both currencies that are mentioned have closely the same functions and an end goal which is an exchange between goods and services. Knowing fully well about this, it is easy to understand the differences of both currencies lies on one advantage or the other, that they poise to improve both of them at a point in time.

1. Unlike cryptocurrencies that operates in an open-source cryptography technology which makes it extremely difficult to be controlled by cabals in the financial institution, the fiat currency is absolute issued and controlled the government and in the hands of the cabals in the financial institution. To a large extent these are the guys that move the market

2. Cryptocurrencies can also be refers to as the much needed alternative that was a monumental thought by the founder Satoshi to bring about freedom. Now, that we have the opportunity to own our funds.

Aside the abovementioned, most of the things are secondary
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 26, 2024, 11:24:38 PM

I am sure OP is referring to gamblers who enjoys the gambling games for fun and as a pastime not someone who is an addict in the gambling industry. The world gamble or gambling is not usually the problem from the initial but when you now go ahead to add Addiction to the world gambling, it has now changed from what used to be a fun to addiction  which also means that; the gambler have now become physically and mentally attached to the gambling, meaning the gambler will begin to deal with his mental health in the will always look for gambling games before he can get to his peace of mind.

Whether rich or not, gambling addiction is not something anyone else will be advised to go into because of the disappointments and risks of loosing his savings regardless of how extremely rich the gambler is, if he mistskes and becomes addicted to the gambling, he will be able to spend all he has to start a new life
