461  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nigerian Telcos Have Blocked Nigerians access to all crypto exchange websites on: March 08, 2024, 03:23:53 PM
It's very sad and regrettable act by the Nigerian government to take such a hostile policy toward cryptocurrency, Because cryptocurrency is a major source of income in the life of most youth in the country since they aren't providing any job opportunities, I just believe that no matter what they does, they can't shut us down, for us not to and use cryptocurrency as a source of income, because technology is a bitch, they actually don't know what we can do technologically, we will fine our way around it.

Instead of them working to strengthen the economy so that our naira can appreciate in value, they are putting the blame on cryptocurrency and forex, that it's because of them the naira is loosing value, this is the most incompetent set of politicians in charge of affairs I have ever experienced as a Nigerian.
462  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Hunger in the country on: March 08, 2024, 01:30:52 PM
Hunger is the major challenge Nigerian is facing now and this has affected both the rich and the poor as price of food is increasing on daily basis. Although the rich are a little bit leverage to this situation than the poor because irrespective of the metamorphism of the increment of the of price of food across the country they will still have some money to afford food stocks but the poor are left with no choice than the mercy of hunger and suffering. It's funny to see a country that is well known for agriculture as means of export going through this level of hardship and hunger.
My brother, dat one no be new thing again, because anywhere you go, people dy complain bitterly of how things ugly for their own side, because as e stance now, the government don fail us wey be citizens, Dem just busy dy look for who to blame for their incompetence, so as it stands now, people only dy more concerned with wetin Dem go chop, no dy other basic things of life, because na who don chop go fit reason another thing, so if you get any work or business wey dy put food for ur table, my brother hold am tight oo, because the life no easy for we Nigerians.
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 08, 2024, 09:44:48 AM
Manchester City still needs Haaland if they really want to make it far in this league and shouldn’t just depend on Foden alone since he can also be utilized in the front to score more goals for the team.

Of course Manchester City still needs Haaland on the club because since he joined Manchester City it has been from one success to another, so the way I'm even looking at it Pep Guardiola will like to extend his contract when it elapse because right now Manchester City cannot afford to lose Haaland because he is one of there key striker and also very good in scoring, so a player with that scoring ability is mostly valued on every team, Foden is also a very talented player that has been helping Manchester City a lot and his scoring record this season is very impressive so they need to gather all their strength to there upcoming matches because is gonna be very tough.
Who says that Manchester city don't needs Erling halaand? As Erling halaand is right now, he is a major plus to any team he  plays in right now because of the high numbers of goals he brings to the team, though Manchester city are actually good, but the absence of haaland will definitely be felt if he is not on the pitch, unlike folden that wouldn't be felt that much if he is absence.

Another person that brings out the best of Erling halaand in this Manchester city side is kelvin de bruyne, when both players are on the pitchnthe chemistry between them both are too class, and things automatically becomes very difficult for the opposition defenders when they are at their very best.
464  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Think security first, before you invest on: March 08, 2024, 09:25:33 AM
My country people good morning inside this morning, today I wan talk about security, I  know say most our elders here for this forum go know all this things, but due to the fact say newbies Dem dy sign up every day, I just say make I updated them, because for this crypto space, security matter na one of the basic things we sopos Sabi, if we want to survive or succeed.

It's very important as a new investor wey come into the system to think security first, because for this life wey we dy so, e dy very important say, as we dy try to make more money, make we no go lose the small one we try get, because of ignorance.

So before you invest in anything,  ask yourself, how secure is my money, if I put am here? Make we no go follow rewards enter tight Conner oo,  so as you dy try to make money, no forget to protect ur money also.
Bitcoin gives you that security wey alt and shit coin no go fit give you, and lastly make we try store am, in a very safe place like a self custodian wallet like electrum, because security na everything in this space.
465  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The problem not solved, it only buys them time. on: March 08, 2024, 09:02:43 AM
All this things that have unfold in the country and in our economy have actually not surprised me, because this is the kind of thing you get, when incompetence people are in charge of affairs, the only thing that am curious about, is what are they really thinking that after all they have done, and naira is still not gaining strength as expected.

If they were actually thinking then I believe that they would have at least try something different, because it's only a fool that'l will be doing the same thing and will be expecting different results, I just hope that after this hellish experience from this present government, people will learn, and they wouldn't sell their future for peanut,  by voting in incompetent leaders into office , when they actually knows that the person is completely incapable to govern.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 08, 2024, 08:20:00 AM
Of a truth, this fight is really going to be a hell of a fight, and this match between Anthony Joshua and Ngannou is going to prove if Ngannou is actually good as we all think, base on his performance between him and wilder.

Another thing I find real interesting is that both of these guys have and African root, so I believe that they both have so many things in common, and I don't actually think this match is going to be less easy for Ngannou as the match against wilder, because as at then he was under rated, but this time he is not, and  his challenger also have the same attributes like him, so it's really going to be a tough and fascinating encounter between them both.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 08, 2024, 08:07:35 AM
The expected results happened last night. M.City and Real Madrid are the two favorite teams of this cup, nobody thought that they would be eliminated here. Let's see which teams will match.
Yes, Manchester City and Liverpool qualified for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League as we expected, and there was no upset. In the second set of the UEFA Champions League's last 16 matches, there can be an upset because some clubs almost have the same strength in this second set.
I think you are referring to real Madrid, because it was real Madrid and Manchester City that qualified from yesterday matches. Though real Madrid survived that encounter as it wasn't really easy for them. I was thinking real Madrid was going to score many goals in that game but it wasn't what I expected. Madrid struggled to score and when they finally scored Leipzig responded with their own. At a point I was thinking Madrid were going to lose that match. Thanks to the first leg result that helped Madrid qualify for the next round. Manchester City on the other hand did a clean job and progressed to the next round as well.

Real Madrid don't used to score many goals now, even in the league, they will only score 1 or 2 goals or draw the games, Leipzig performed very well, that is why it is very difficult for Madrid to score many goals in the match, they stress Madrid in the match because from the first half, real madrid should have scored many goals but unfortunately they missed the chances in the game, now is only Real Madrid that qualifies in Spain and Manchester City in England. Everyone think Real Madrid or Manchester City are the favorites of the competition because is only them that they are in good form this season to win the trophy. We don't know if Arsenal or Barcelona will win the trophy (Cool. We can't forecast football because anything can happen in the competition you'll be surprised when a tiny club defeats large clubs and wins the title.
You are actually right on that, real madrid and Manchester city are the clear favourite to win this year uefa champions league title, but it's not wise to rule out the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and inter Milan.

Another thing I observe about this real madrid encounter between them and RB Leipzig is that, base on the fact that they won the first leg, they were actually complacent in this their reverse fixture, which would have cost them the game and their qualification, if it wasn't for the top level performance of their goal keeper that day, but they were just lucky that Leipzig didn't have the second goal, if not, it would have been a different ball game all together.
468  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Reason why the rich always get richer on: March 08, 2024, 07:06:06 AM
Yea, it's true that the rich keeps on getting richer, while the poor keeps on getting poorer, you know why? Because they have financial leverage the poor don't have, they take investment risk the poor wouldn't take, they sees opportunities the poor wouldn't see, because they actually sees differently, they have contact at the top the poor doesn't have, so to me, it quite logical and a normal thing that they will keeps on getting richer and richer, while the poor keeps on getting poorer and poorer.
469  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: The high cost of living in nigeria. on: March 08, 2024, 06:58:35 AM
It's no longer news that inflation have practically taken over every sector of the economy, and the government are actually clueless of what actions that should be taken for things to come back to normal, we are complaining of how our naira has lost value in the international market, our current president is removing subsidy from our crude product without even making provisions for we to have our own refinery, which have made everything to skyrocket to the highest,  I have ever experienced in my existence in this life, till the government start doing the right thing by building our own refineries and focusing more on domestic production to bust our economy, so that our naira will appreciate, things will keeps on get uglier by the day.
470  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is Investing into crypto really safe? on: March 07, 2024, 10:51:15 PM
Crypto currency investment na risky kind of investment, because Several risk dey associated to this kind of investment, crypto currencies dey very volatile, come dey make crypto investors more vulnerable to losses,  but most persons no dey reason am , them invest in am heavily and most of them done cash out, and still most of them still loose money, crypto investment fit profit you or fit make you loose money before you close eye open, because the price fit climb or drop before you close eye open. E better to take the risk, but take the risk responsibly.
Actually to me it's safe to some people, and not safe to some people because In this crypto space you only got what you deserve.

In the world of business, their is always a risk and the likelihood of you losing all your money, so that's why it's very much important you go for knowledge first, so as to know how to navigate your way in that particular line of business.

So if you are knowledgeable enough to know your way in the crypto space, you will definitely be profitable, but if you have no knowledge about it, their is a very high tendency of you losing your money, so that's what it is, so it's either you go for knowledge first, or your ignorance cost you dearly.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive withdrawal of Bitcoin on: March 07, 2024, 10:34:39 PM
Actually to me it's quite normal that people are taking some profit from their investment when the price of Bitcoin gets to their desired price, and besides, if their is no selling off at some point, their will be no price deep that will present a good buying opportunity, so I believe that, that's how the Bitcoin market is wired.

What is the essence of investing in the first place if you wouldn't sell off and make profit at some point? The primary purpose is to make money, so I don't sees it as something new to me.
472  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Take your Job/fund security seriously on: March 07, 2024, 05:19:36 PM
My brother, wether na now or before, security na one important thing wey we need and wey we no sopos carry play for this life, anybody wey no take security serious, especially for this crypto space go one day learn the hard way.

Concerning our job and our other sources of living, Dem no dy tell person that one, say protect am well because as the economy and the country no dy friendly so, if money no dy enter again, na your body go tell you. Just imagine now wey you dy complain say money no dy reach again, then e come be wen nothing dy enter again, how e go be? So you needs to take ur means of survival serious oo, because e get why.
473  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No Invest in Bitcoin When U No Dey Do Anything. on: March 07, 2024, 11:42:48 AM
My brother, no be lie you dy talk, this one no be for only Bitcoin investment, for all investment generally, e dy very important say you get a source of income and an emergency fund wey go dy keep you on bar till your investment start to reap dividend, because if you no do so, before you know, for your own eyes, you go dy chop ur investment small small till the business collapse or you go have to fall back to your investment when faced with financial troubles, so e dy very important say you get source of income and emergency fund before you invest in Bitcoin or any other investment.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 07, 2024, 08:08:10 AM
There are still 10 matches left to come and that means there are still 30 points that all clubs in the Bundesliga can still fight for, even Bayern Munich also still has that opportunity, but the only question is whether Leverkusen will just waste this opportunity to continue to maintain its position?
Of course not, because the difference of 10 points is a very big difference and means that Bayern Munich must at least be able to achieve 4 consecutive wins in the next match and it is impossible for Leverkusen to continue to lose the next 4 matches because Xabi Alonso will definitely rotate the players so that no injury problems.
From this statement we can conclude that Leverkusen has secured victory to win the title in the Bundesliga this season and Tuchel as coach of Bayern Munich must take responsibility for the title of dominance that has been lost this season.
Or Bayer Leverkusen must experience many draws from the remaining ten matches that must be played this season, even this is still impossible if we look at Bayer Leverkusen's performance which continues to play well against any team, so that the remaining ten matches will not change the position of the standings, especially at the top because Bayer Leverkusn Of course, it's not a stupid team to let go of the trophy they almost lifted but instead it was lifted by another club because they weren't alert at the end of this season.
I am quite sure that Bayer Leverkusen will succeed in breaking Bayern Munich's dominance this season, even though it will only be temporary because a team like Bayern Munich will correct their mistakes and perform better next season as long as they don't make a mistake in appointing a replacement for Thomas Tuchel.
I really don't sees it that way, that it's all over for Bayern Munich, see, their is a saying that it's not over, until it's over, though it's a very difficult task because their destiny is no longer in their hands, but if complacency creep into this Bayern Leverkusen team between now and the end of the season, they might still lose the league, so in other not to give any room for Bayern Munich to come back into the race, is for them to keeps on doing what they are doing, by getting the desired result till everything is confirm and sealed.

Concerning tuchel, I think their is already an agreement in place, that he would be leaving the club by mutual consent at the end of this season, so that is no longer news, so by next season, their will be a new manager in charge of Bayern Munich.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 07, 2024, 07:12:23 AM
At the same time, considering Arsenal’s current form, if Manchester City fails to win or draws their next match, it’s almost certain that Arsenal will also overtake them.
Overtaking the elite teams does not longer seem possible this season because the present outstanding form of the elite team, they don't look like club's that are in a rush to dropped points. Manchester City will face Liverpool this weekend, it will give room for one of them to step down and become vulnerable while Arsenal will take charge and boosts their performance. Arsenal are in hot pursuit for the EPL title this season, it's been really a tough game and great form to see Gunners this season. Mikel Arteta elevated the club's performance, and they're heading to suits in the final outcomes.
Liverpool might drop some points because of its injury problem if they meet a formidable side like Manchester City. City just qualified for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after a convincing win against Copenhagen. For now, Liverpool has a very vulnerable team made up of young players who lack experience. City also has the advantage because players would be able to have a long rest after yesterday's game, meanwhile, Liverpool will have a shorter rest period after their since they will be traveling to the Czech Republic for a Europa League match against Sparta Prague.

The Gunners are coming up stronger and have a good team who can win the League. They lost the league last season because of some factors which included injury woes. A draw in Anfield on Saturday will be a good result for Arsenal especially if they beat Brentford in the Emirate Stadium same day. It will make them move to the top of the English premier league because they have more goal difference than City.
I totally agree with you here, that the race for the premier league title is really heating up, because as is stance, no team is willing to drop any point, but this weekend the game between Liverpool and Manchester city will compel one of them to drop point if not both of them, if it's ends in a draw, and to be frank, it's actually going to be a mouth watering encounter between them both,  but if it ends in a draw, arsenal will definitely be the biggest winner here if they can get the desired result against Brentford.

One major problem I have had with this arsenal team is lack of consistency, but this season, they have improved on that aspect, but am really not sure if they can sustain it till the very end, let's just watch and see how things play out.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 07, 2024, 06:58:34 AM
Smooth sailing for Man City. Copenhagen just wasn't a match for them, the Danish team is not in its peak form, even in their league they lost 3 out of the last 5 games.

City is a massive favourite to win the Champions League. Odds are as follows:

I agree with the table display above where the big 4 strong candidates include Manchester City, Bayern, Madrid and Arsenal. Well, for Arsenal, I will not underestimate them this season, who have made slight improvements in a positive direction. But because in Leg 1 they were behind against Porto, in Leg 2 they will carry a heavy burden. If they succeed in turning things around, perhaps what I hope will materialize as part of the strong candidates this season joining Manchester City, Bayern and Madrid. We also still have Inter and PSG both as unexpected options because they are both strong and experiencing positive trends this season.
Actually I partially agree with the first  top five teams, but I don't actually think arsenal is better than inter Milan, so in my opinion, inter Milan should had been ahead of them, and of a truth, this arsenal team is quite good, but we need to understand that experience is an important player after quality in a competition like this, and Arsenal we all know have that tendency of not being reliable in major competition especially in the champions league and I don't really sees them going as far as the semi final stage of this competition, because experience is very important, and that is what this particular arsenal team lack.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: How can it be possible coping with one source of income on: March 07, 2024, 05:36:39 AM
Through out last year I find it hard to get things done with funds despite how my earning was and I find it hard to spend more on my bills around me , though I have been seeing some humans earning and paying bills with one source of income and I do ask myself how is it done

please your advice will be of help
Actually it's not that easy, it's possible, but what I think about it is that it's not sustainable, because I have been in a situation like this in the past, when I will be dependent on a single salary, at every month ending, what I usually does is that I draw down a budget and how I will be allocating funds, because I can't afford to spend wrongly, but still yet, I still go into debt, because it's not just enough due to the current economic situation in the country now, but the best way to survive right now, is not to depend on a single income, because it's really not easy if you do.
478  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerian lawmakers raise concern on crackdown on cryptocurrency platforms on: March 07, 2024, 05:22:41 AM
We are all aware that some issue being going on concerning binance platform and our country, now binance is planning to discontinue all services related to the Nigerian naira from their platform, soon around march 8 though they didn't stop us from using the platform services e.g  like using the platform to  trade other coins .

So I stumbled upon this, The lawmakers noted that the actions of the government recently put the country “in bad light (to make something look bad)  with regards to observance of global statutes on fundamental human rights and rule of law and portrays the country as being dishonest and incompetent.”

https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/674736-nigerian-lawmakers-raise-concern-on-crackdown-on-cryptocurrency-platforms-launch-probe.html
My brother, to me this actions taken by our government is sad and regrettable, because we all know say no be binance dy cause our naira to lose value, na our bad economy and too much importation of goods into the country.

So if any of our lawmakers don see the light small, to me na good news, because at least, some of them brain dy function, because as e be so, I no know wetin Dem wan use hold binance again, since Dem don Pull out of the Nigerian market, because indirectly, na wetin this  their action mean.
So now way the naira still dy lose value, I wonder who Dem wan put the blame on, since the work wey our government dy do now, na to look for who to blame for anything wey no dy in other, make we just watch and see where this high level of incompetence go carry Dem go.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: March 06, 2024, 06:46:24 PM
Bayern Munich played very well in the match and we expected such to happen as Bayern is a big club that is known to deal with opponents like 4 to nail, 6 to nail or something similar so securing 3 to nail victory should be something casual and they should put more effort and creativity cause it's getting tough in the league.

Tuchel is a good coach, I was even disappointed seeing him go out of Chelsea if only he was giving enough time, Chelsea would not have been at this lowest of where they are.
Tuchel is indeed a good coach. He just has to be given time to build a club so that it gets better as time goes by. because Tuchel is not the type of coach who immediately makes quick changes to a club. But he always built the club slowly and surely. But unfortunately it wasn't just Chelsea who was in a hurry to fire Tuchel. Now Bayern is also reported to have made an agreement that their collaboration with Tuchel will end sooner, namely until the end of this season. I don't know if it's just a rumor or if it's real. But the news has spread quite widely.

Bayern managed to beat Lazio quite well. And revenge with 3 goals is the best revenge. With this, Bayern is now ready to face a stronger team in the quarter-finals.
It is very much a bad thing for them waking up on a morning and firing coaches. Coaches are there to manage players with different styles of playing, making them all work together to secure victory and I think they deserve more time to do that unlike players who can easily adapt. I think for Chelsea firing Tuchel is their worst mistake and they still reaping from the consequences.
Tomas tuchel has never been a bad coach to me, even though his Bayern Munich team aren't living up to expectations, what I sense about all this is that this set of players are struggling to adapt to his playing style, unlike psg and Chelsea that got adapted to his playing pattern easily, so I just feels like in this current situation at Bayern Munich, a change is needed, not because of incompetence, but because the both parties are not compatible.

And as for Chelsea sacking Tomas tuchel, it was the biggest mistake they ever made, because no coach understand the team more than him, in recent times, but I believe that since he is leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season, he wouldn't stay long, and  he is actually going to get another good job, because he is a top class coach.
480  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Look presentable so opportunities would come your way. on: March 06, 2024, 11:07:20 AM
To me, I think that's normal in our every day lives, and just as you have already stated it clearly, you will be addressed by how you dress, so once you look ok, you will automatically be attractive to people around you, when I was still studying in college, their was this teacher, that teaches us, that always says that looking good is a business, I never understand that, till it was when I became an adult that I got to understand everything he always says to us.

So in essence, it's very important as a young man to always look good, so as you can be attractive enough to be presentable to any opportunity, and lastly, it's also applies to your personality, try as much as possible to have an attractive personality, because it's really beneficial to the you.
