461  Local / India / Re: How can one sue another person for bitcoin cheating? on: November 26, 2014, 07:52:07 AM
Have looked properly into the legal intricacies. You may file a criminal case if you are cheated, infact we were ready to pursue the matter as we look into the criminal matters also, however not many people came forward. Would love to get it in attention of judiciary. If government is not responding then the judiciary should.

Regards

Does the government help with legal issues that relate to bitcoin? I expect them to rather turn a blind eye towards cases involving bitcoins.

just curious whats the comparison to this and primedice?
The only major difference I think is that Bitdice accepts Investments which allows you to be the bank, and its not possible to be the bank on PD.
The rest are minor differences.

I doubt the police will even know what is the machine for Smiley We might get away by telling them, that its an experiment.
465  Local / India / Re: When can we see this in India? on: November 21, 2014, 02:49:00 AM
I did a google image search and the results throw up Benson's blog.
Maybe this picture is being discussed among the Pakistani Bitcoin community.  Grin

That looks like a perfect way to spread awareness about bitcoin.  Some people on the forums, are actually paying out people, to post posters in crowded cities in different countries. Maybe, we can start a fund and have that done too.

467  Local / India / Plans for any Bitcoin Meetup on: November 20, 2014, 01:12:32 PM
Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was any bitcoin meetups coming up in India. I am from Delhi, and would love to meet people and discuss ideas of any startups or anything new they might be working on related to bitcoins.
I was in the last meetup that happened in Delhi, organized by subvolatil, and maybe we can add something new to it(apart from the introduction).

471  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Anyone using cloudmining.website ? on: November 19, 2014, 12:01:17 PM
With the sudden increase in bitcoin prices over the last few days, you will have to check whether these cloudmining sites have lowered their prices or not.

Almost none of the prominent cloud mining players like PB mining, cloudmining.website or CEX.io have lowered their price against the recent price fluctuation.

That is probably because, they also suffer losses on the same, and the price hardly matters for mining.

The price of mining equipment is denominated in fiat. So if they are buying new equipment to fill your orders, they can definitely get it for a cheaper price (in bitcoin) to fill your order. Hence it makes sense if they reduce prices as well.

But doesn't the amount of bitcoin that is mined, is the deciding factor on how much they earn? I guess, that is why they have fixed prices.

474  Local / Mining (India) / Re: Anyone using cloudmining.website ? on: November 13, 2014, 04:18:18 AM
Most of them, probably are ponzi schemes. No one would recommend investing a large amount at it. The ROI is also, not much profitable, and isn't worth the risk.

Not sure about the legality question, but just came across an article, about someone being fined from importing wood from Madagascar and India.

You should probably try localbitcoins. Its safe and trusted. Also, since you have a negative trust, no one would be willing to send the funds first.
