Yes. That requirement will never change as it is a consensus rule. Well, it could be changed if the majority agrees to support such a change or am I wrong? There is absolutely no chance that masternode owners would agree to a change where the requirement gets lower. They may agree to increase the requirement. That is the only economically rational stance for them. Yes, I was just referring to the technical possibility, which - given there was consensus about such an irrational process - would allow for a change to the protocol. Is that correct? On an absolutely theoretical level it would also be possible to increase the maximum number of coins I think. But it won't occur because current owners would economically hurt themselves and consensus just won't be ever reached. |

MN? Masternodes, i think  Yes, dev - Simonas never confirmed Masternodes in UNIFY. Imo it's useless when u have coin with PoS  This is not correct. Via masternodes you can introduce further function to a POS network that would otherwise not be available, for example adding an anonymity layer. There are several things you can achieve by adding masternodes even to a POS system. |

staking really sucks for me. Last days I get 10 notification but only one is in the wallet. They disappear after some time.
I received over 500 blocks in 2 months and not 1 has disappeared. check the block explorer or your last transactions and see if the blocks are ignored Ok so you get a lot orphans. Staking is also about broadcasting your information in time. This translates into having a good internet connection provides you with an advantage over someone with a bad connection. Do you have a good connection? And are you sure it is on a competitive level? I had a lot of orphans when my internet sucked. |

Too bad things didn't work out with Cryptopia. On the bright side, we're looking to add a few more exchanges now, not just one. For a lack of a better analogy "remove one head and 2, 3, or 4 will grow in its place." Unify will recover and continue to grow my friends. 👍
Keep it going guys no matter what. Did anyone from the team talk to Cryptopia about the real reason behind the delisting? Was it really about wallet problems they could not fix? Cryptopia has very little volume anyway, we tried reasoning with them, but to no avail. In the long run, it's almost a non-issue, once we get on other exchanges it will have been forgotten. Thank you for the concern though. I am totally on your side. Cryptopia delisting is by far not the end of the world, although it is always good to have a decent place to trade at. We should try and become listed somewhere else asap. Yes Simonas is working on being listed on more exchanges. Which ones are currently on the list? I've been thinking about the risk/return side a little more. By investing in REAL, you're buying into EU real estate (although we don't really know what country for sure). It also sounds like it'll likely be hotel investments. Let's put aside the possibility that they are actually just going to sell you a property they already own.
Holding on to tokens is therefore a hedge against crypto investments. Essentially you're saying you'd rather sell some of your cryptos, convert it to fiat (Euros) and buy real estate. You're betting that the 12% - 20% returns they are targeting is better than you can earn in cryptos on a risk-adjusted basis.
Assuming they will be buying hotel assets, it's likely a bet on the economy (although we don't know which one). Most hotels either target business travelers or tourists, but both depend on a strong economy. So, in order for your investment to do well, the dependant economy has to do well.
It sounds like you won't have to buy into each investment they propose, but since they didn't raise that much money, I don't know how many choices you'll have. If you don't like their first investment, you can hold onto your REAL tokens instead of buying RPPs, but then you're not earning a return on your money, so it's just tied up.
Of course, if the Euro isn't your local currency, then you're you're taking that currency risk as well.
I know nobody asked the question, but I find this ICO fascinating and it's helping me become a better ICO investor as I think about what I'd REALLY be buying into.

Be ready to pull the trigger. You might be able to get it a little cheaper, but I have a feeling the prices will be going up till at least 11/6. Maybe I'm wrong. But this will be actual code released not just a white paper or some other scam pump fodder. I don't expect it to drop below 100 Sat, and could cross 250 sats. I agree that 250 sounds like a reasonable target for everything Verge has achieve so far and what they have on the roadmap as realistically achievable goals. Good times ahead for us investors I feel. |

Maybe VERGE should change the style of their roadmap, because Q4 can be 10/01 or 11/01 or 12/31, wich can make a big difference...
If you have ever been involved with software development, deadlines and projected dates are basically impossible to get to 100%. For me it's fine that they use quarter-based roadmap. In any case, as long as you keep yourself involved in this thread you won't miss anything. --ypsi I am always surprised how many people still haven't noticed what you just said here. Software development isn't easily predictable at all. Many investors seem to more care about a deadline on the roadmap than about top notch testing and finalization of a high quality product. VERGE has a great team and missing a deadline a little bit doesn't make that team any worse as long as they deliver on their promises eventually. And they will. |
