So you refuse to tell us how the trust node difficulty is calculated?

If you think I've spent even 5 minutes looking into how you do that then you're more deluded than I thought.   It doesn't take a genius to see that you control what you want, change code when you want to artificially mess with the price, control the profit leaching (sorry, sorry, "CPF" Cheesy) and can spend any of that any time you choose.

Yeah there's nothing wrong with your coin at all.  What iteration are we on at the moment again?

Shit, I don't need to relist all the issues, it's all here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48344.0

What the.. an actual non troll post in this thread! Smiley

The very first post in this thread was the biggest troll of all.

Proven your nonsense yet?  No?   Go away then.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solid Coin Problem on: March 04, 2012, 01:35:44 AM

You have a case of narrow blinkers. This forum isn't the world by the way, get out more.

Yeah, it's flying isn't it.  Look at all those miners!   You can lie to your cronies on your own forum as they're all as stupid as you, but it doesn't fly here mate.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solid Coin Problem on: March 04, 2012, 01:28:48 AM
If you only get your source of news about SolidCoin from this forum then you will have an extremely biased viewpoint of it, because there are too many trolls here who spread lies because they are afraid of it, or don't properly understand it.

Solidcoin cops so much flak on this forum because people here understand it all too well.   It's not like it's hidden to be fair, you make it plainly clear what a mess it is by advertising it's "strong points" which are precisely what's wrong with the thing in the first place Cheesy

If you had any semblance of sense at all, you'll go away for a while, shut down SC and come back with a new name for yourself and your coin.   It's completely tainted and worth shit now.    Of course that'll be pretty pointless as unless you dramatically rework how the thing works it'll be clear who you are anyway, but there you go.
465  Other / Off-topic / Re: Butterfly Labs - Bitforce Single and Rig Box on: March 03, 2012, 11:20:12 PM
any updates on bfl rigbox?
Well, when someone emailed asking if they could visit them with a $30,000 cashier's check they didn't reply.
So I guess it's not ready yet.
Well, I really like the Single.  It's interesting that the rig box will use a different chip than the single. I wouldn't mind seeing a roll out of a "rig box"-chip Single. Don't have to layout 30k for a box, but can receive some of the efficiency of the more powerful or efficient chip. To me, it would also serve to shake out any problems with the newer chip prior to shipping out a 30k product. Certainly not required, but why not?

I also would like to hear of more singles in the wild.  Any new reports?

USPS have mine.  Could be a while Wink
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solid Coin Problem on: March 03, 2012, 09:49:12 PM
here's the bottom line: lots more people are mining SolidCoin than LiteCoin, as far as i can tell. LOTS.

If by "lots" you mean "absolutely no-one", then yeah you're spot on.    Why the hell would anyone mine them when you get absolutely bugger all for it (aside from a bigger electricity bill).   Even if you had free electricity you'd still be wasting your time.

Just forget about Solidcoin, it's a mess.

so psy is also coinhunter?

ooo

way to reflect solidcoin's reputation.

Haha, made that pretty obvious didn't he Cheesy

Post his stuff BCX.  If he (or whoever) does indeed work at Quest Software (3 Prospect Hill Road, Camberwell), that'll be.... interesting to know.

Crawl back under your rock. Obviously what's obvious is that you guys are stupid...

Well you're both acting like dicks so it wasn't a huge bow to draw.

STFU n00b. You are as stupid as BCX.

Hur hur, I called him a n00b, complete with zeros!   Internet dork win!

Fuck off kid.

By the way, you just made a post without begging people to use your shitty failed site.  Might want to edit it and slip in some cross promotion.   Again.

Back on topic, America does some things right, but their postage system isn't counted in that.   USPS is, and always has been, a bloody disgrace Smiley   I'm sure it might work well enough interstate, but internationally it's bloody terrible.

Shouldn't come as a shock to anyone, but felt like venting anyway Cheesy

I disagree. Had many shippments from the USA to Switzerland in the past. Never had an issue with USPS international priority mail ! They ship fast and you can afford it ! UPS or FedEX are the real disgrace. You pay way more and don't get your goods any faster. So i only do USPS and i did more than 20 shippments.

Wow.  I've never had anything other than horrible service from them unfortunately.   People in Australia are just now getting packages that were sent a month ago.   I always go out of my way to avoid USPS wherever humanly possibly, but unfortunately it wasn't possible this time.

UPS and Fedex make it here in 3 days 90% of the time in my experience.   USPS quote 3-5 days for Express and it's usually a couple of weeks (the good news being that they're daft enough to offer a money back guarantee if it's not delivered in those timeframes.  It never ever is, so it usually works out to free postage.  I'd still rather pay and have it quicker though).

Hi etotheipi,

Quick UI bug.   If you select the "Receive Bitcoins" button, but then press cancel on the "This is not your wallet" warning, it just pops up a big empy grey box that covers the UI Wink

They are ramping up production and refining the process... I would say 4 - 6 weeks is more likely than it was before.

Are you now the official BFL PR guy ?

On another note, any more folks from the UK ordered theirs and got any information about customs or VAT or taxes that have to be paid to her majesty Tongue ?

Or maybe about that rumor with the Frankfurt EU resellers Huh

Thanks !

No, are you the official asshole of the thread?

Of course not, don't be daft.  He's the official asshole of the forum Wink

473  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - The most advanced Bitcoin Client in existence! (v0.5.1-alpha) on: March 02, 2012, 04:24:06 AM
I'm just plucking up enough courage to transfer my entire savings balance over to Armory (right now it's inside an encrypted Truecrypt file, on an encrypted disk, such a PITA when I want to spend something).    It's not a massive amount (close to 200BTC, I've been a bit spend happy lately Cheesy), but more than I'd like to lose.

The silly thing is I know it'll be fine, and I have paper backups should something go wrong, but there's always that little niggle telling me to wait Cheesy

Rolo, don't rush yourself.  If your coins are already offline, you are in no hurry to switch.  But arguably, you are right:  you have a paper backup, what could go wrong?  Smiley

The best thing thing to do is delete the offline wallet and restore from paper backup.  It'll calm your nerves a bit, knowing that you are using the exact same wallet you'd be using if something went wrong and you had to restore again (but they are the same, I promise).  And also load the offline wallet and online wallet and generate about a dozen addresses on each.  Verify that the generated addresses are the same.  Once you see that, hopefully that that niggle will go away.

Then as extra credit, move a couple BTC to it, and transfer 0.1 BTC to yourself a couple times using the USB key.   Even though I wrote the program, it still felt a little bit like magic that it works.  But it's easy to get used to Smiley

I went for the reckless approach and just transferred it straight over Wink    I feel....liberated Cheesy

475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protecting your coins on: March 02, 2012, 02:35:29 AM
Im getting to the point where i have so many coins im starting to worry about them. Im wondering what you guys do to protect yours. I have mine spread around. Some in deepbit, some in MTgox, a few different wallets, on several hard drives, and USB sticks. But despite all that im still concerned with their safety. Is there anything else i can do to play it safe?

This is exactly why I made Armory Offline Wallets

And this is exactly why I've started to use Armory Smiley

Yes. I received an email when they shipped the single.

Me too.

479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: artforz and coblee gpu mining litecoin since the start? on: February 29, 2012, 08:41:44 PM
What's funny to me about all this is that gpu mining the coin early before anyone else could is exactly what coinhunter did with SC Cheesy.   Such a douche.  You should be banned from this forum.

 Huh
Well.. yeah, SC started out as a GPU chain.

Nope.  It started as CPU only, then a few weeks after launch they miraculously "turned on" GPU mining.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=44423.0

then

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=49219.0

I'm thinking Coinhunter didn't get the desired response LOL  Grin Grin Grin

Keep in mind this is the same scamming punk that released SoiledCoin 2.0 to the fanfare it was CPU hostile only to "discover" two weeks after launch he had a ready to go GPU miner LOL....

The incredible part is that his followers believed he didn't actually have it the whole time....

480  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Raspberry Pi $25 PC - Could we run GPUs/FPGAs on this? on: February 29, 2012, 10:55:37 AM

There's actually two products on the Farnell site.  One for $50 and one for $38.   No idea what the difference is, but I obviously ordered the $38 one Smiley   Free shipping as well which is nice.

There are two models, A and B. The A was 128Mb RAM but it got upgraded to 256MB like the B. The B also has ethernet and 2 USB ports.

marked

Only the B has been manufactured so far, so it's not that.   The $50 version may have a shorter delivery timeframe, we'll see Smiley

"All of the first units to be produced are the $35 Raspberry Pi Model B. We are launching with Model Bs as there has been a much larger demand for them from the community."
