462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FTC for sale on ebay on: May 16, 2013, 01:31:04 PM
Just a note to new people out there looking to get into crypto, I do sell FTC on ebay, although at a higher rate due to my increased risk.  Currently I have 100% satifaction rate and gleaming comments.  I am not discouraging the use of exchanges (cheaper) just giving some a different set of options.  Other than the need to sleep, most transfers are within the hour after purchase.

Can you explain a bit what this "higher risk" is? Perhaps provide a link to one of your items on e-bay? Just curious :-)

I wonder who's buying the FTC, and what they are doing with them.

-Michael

Hi level of scammers on ebay when it comes to bitcoin (digital form). Soime accounts can get hacked and all people have to do is provide anonymous address to pay to. Once done hacker has account robbed in a way that he/she can't really be tracked.

I got screwed over selling bitcoin myself so understand why seller has to charge a bit extra.
463  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online wallet, or computer wallet? on: May 15, 2013, 11:07:22 PM
Try https://blockchain.info/. Online, secure and able to store backups on computer or printed page but your probably best store in multiple locations.
464  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know if Bitpride is a real legit company? on: May 15, 2013, 10:45:54 PM
I have no problem with Bitpride. I just put in a small investment in your shares and thinking about investing more but before I do, i want to find out more on your company. Could you provide me with links and information that prove yous are a real business and anything else that may be of use to me before investing?

466  Economy / Economics / Re: Money As Debt - documentary on: May 15, 2013, 08:34:52 PM
yeah, whats tvp?
If i remember correctly zeitgeist 1 was pretty good, but zeitgeist 2 had some kind of weird futuristic global robot economy idea which kind of weirded me out.

Yeah and 3 completely side tracks but very informative movies all the same.
467  Economy / Economics / Re: Knowledge check: If a government had only 2 functions, what would they be? on: May 15, 2013, 06:32:34 PM
I think division of powers is a very important concept that has to be protected by all means.

Or else a proper open integration into society where no information is hidden and the public are included in all decision making processes.
468  Economy / Economics / Re: Knowledge check: If a government had only 2 functions, what would they be? on: May 15, 2013, 06:30:25 PM
1. Ensure all necessary resources (food, water, shelter, etc) for all publlic are available
2. Ensure necessary services ( hospital, police, etc) for all public are available
469  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bitfunder] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough on: May 15, 2013, 06:07:13 PM
I release more shares constantly, I try to keep them at or above the average market value, but sometimes I sell lower in order to complete other deals.

Generally you can expect all the passthroughs to fluctuate to form an average price. Sometimes mine are cheapest, sometimes mine are the most expensive; there are many factors at play.

I have no way to predict how many shares will enter the PT market, but I can tell you I will keep accumulating shares for as long as it is profitable for me to do so. My first goal is to reach 5000 whole-shares, in order to get a board seat with ASICMINER.

Thanks for the reply

471  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: 1 BTC FREE RAFFLE - Just add this link to your sig! on: May 15, 2013, 05:40:09 PM
How many peopel have entered this raffle?
472  Economy / Securities / Re: [Bitfunder] TAT.ASICMINER New Micro-share Passthrough on: May 15, 2013, 05:30:44 PM
You say you plan on releasing more shares. How long after you sell the current shares do you plan on release more to the public. Does this mean that the value of these shares isn't going to increase by a significant amount lice pt shares and if they will increase,? what do you believe is going yearly % increase on current shares?

You should try get up to about 500 posts first, then do monthly auctions or something for space. You will definetly have better luck getting buyers/renters.
475  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: http://www.pyramining.com/ - Discussion thread (no advertising here) on: May 15, 2013, 04:54:35 AM
Any suggestions on getting referrals?
I think the best one is just word of mouth... send your codes to a few friends or relatives
I'd imagine you may have pretty bad luck right now outside of the existing bitcoin community, if nothing else return time before ASICs is pretty high. Sig links aren't bad and this thread is a bad place to try it. There are usually pyramining referral link threads around if you look through the forums, I forget what subforum though.

Thanks, yeah, was thinking of making a small information website specifically for referrals and putting that in signature. Not exactly original but worth a try.
476  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: May 15, 2013, 04:51:41 AM
Test chips, whatever qty that ends up being, I think should go to a dev voted on by the group.  In fact I think a separate thread should be started where all the group buys can match up with all the PCB developers (with a reputable product in development aka burnin or klondike).  Of the 6 or 7 completed group buys thus far it would be a shame to not spread the wealth and get several project boards debugged ASAP.  In full disclosure I have chips in multiple group buys and would like to have multiple PCB options as well.  Help decentralize!

Great Idea Asics miner develelopment in custom hardware section. This would make things a lot easier all round.

Interesting tweet.

For bitcoin to make it it needs to be banned by a few governments and critiqued by policy makers. Otherwise it will fade. #Antifragile.

Agree! GTA 2, 3, 4 and 5 wouldn't exist if it weren't for people trying to ban the first one. Maybe we should run a campaign to get bitcoin banned with the ultimately failing off course.

In my opinion it is hard to say but I feel it will be sometime this year.

I'm thinking September to December but it all depends.
