DDOS? packet sniffing ? Port scanning ?
What it may be ? Whatever it is, its definitely not a noob friendly unless it requires some gigantic amount of investment to purchase servers for DDOS or for a software to do sniffing.

No you will have to wait. There is no way to speed up the process, it was meant to take time. Also makes it where you cannot spam your way into a rank.
Only way I can think of is if you posted in a period before and did not post 14 posts during that period. And say you posted all of it plus more in next period. Then yes you could get over 14 activity in that week. But that does not make the time line as far as activity any faster.

How to calculate transaction size (kb)
Count the number of inputs in the transaction. That is the approximate size of the transaction in kB. Counting the number of inputs / output needs a trasaction to be sent right? Nope, That is not what is mean, I mean knowing the total size of kb before sending transaction |

Assuming all the inputs you are spending are from regular "pay to address" transactions, each input will contribute 180 (plus or minus 1) bytes to the transaction. Each output adds 34 bytes to the transaction. And there's a fixed extra 10 bytes which are always present.
The "plus or minus 1" comes from the fact that each input needs a signature to be claimed. The signature contains two 32 byte values, but if either of the values has a first byte of 0x80 or more, it has a 0x00 byte prepended to it. So I'm assuming one of the two is high and the other is low. That way I'm off by at most one byte per input.
So if your transaction has in inputs and out outputs, the transaction size, in bytes will be:
in*180 + out*34 + 10 plus or minus 'in'
Recommended fee is 0.0001 BTC/1000 bytes. All popular wallets calculate fees automatically. Hey all. First of all, I'm a newbie to mining and like most newbies I jumped head first and started mining from my laptop without reading about the possible consequences. I have a Lenovo y510p, one year old. Four days ago I left it mining for 6 hours straight while I was away and when I got back everything was fine. I noticed it was generating a lot of heat and got a little worried but as soon as I stopped the mining everything was fine. The next few days the laptop worked normally. I thought it was a bit slower at times but I thought I'm just being paranoid. Either way I decided not to mine anymore. Today, 4days after mining I woke up and turned on the laptop and after a few minutes of running a video in vlc player, everything froze. Video was playing but I couldn't open google chrome or anything else. I restarted and it wouldn't start up. Windows kept diagnosing the problem and it finally said that I need to do a system restore. I haven't done it yet because I wanted to hear some opinions before losing stuff on my hard drive. If it is indeed because of mining, what exacy my got fried? Which part will I need to replace? And wouldn't it have been fried right away? Is it possible that its not that bad? I can take it back to the store as its still in warranty but its in a different city so I need to make sure I tried everything beforehand. Thanks and sorry for typos, writing from my phone.
