461  Economy / Services / Re: Any cheapish article writers here? on: June 19, 2019, 02:59:55 PM
Questions:

1) Where are you going to publish these articles?
2) Is it possible to set direct link to the author's site?

Maybe we will write you articles for free...

You think the newbie OP will ever come back to answer your questions here?

What type of articles you want or in which topic you need articles? Also can you please tell me where you want to post the articles? Also whats your payment rate and payment mode?

All valid questions but, you won't ever get any responses.
I have noticed people making requests like these where they ask to be emailed for more details.. NAH! Not happening, stop wasting people's time and post the job details first.

464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance is a threat to the crypto space on: June 09, 2019, 06:53:07 PM
Agree to disagree... whenever power is centered on one person or a group of people, there will always be dictatorships and manipulation.. I see a lot of people celebrating Cz on Twitter for delisting bsv.. but what they don't understand is Cz poses a greater threat to decentralization than faketoshi will ever be... even vitalik buterin agrees to this

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.coinspeaker.com/vitalik-buterin-bitcoin-sv-scam-binance/amp/

really? is the situation more worse than what bitcoin is in right now? most of the hashing power is concentrated into a handful of pools. Same with eos where it is centralized in with just 21 block producers that are getting 1.88 million a year for doing absolutely nothing?

Will it be any worse when compared to the case of facebook's worldcoin or libra or whatever the crap they're calling it? licensing each node for 10 million dollars and then concnetrating that power into one space?
See, decentralyzation is great, it should happen but as infrastructure decentralyzed infrastructure is very unreliable. Just factor in a 5 - 15 ms of latency in any decentralyzed network and you will see what I mean.
decentralyzation is prone to adoption, if people don't adopt, then the network will not mature and for that maturity to happen, it needs to be centra, to an extent, at first..
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / KIN KIK SEC - what could be the outcome? (Discussion) on: June 09, 2019, 06:48:16 PM
I created this thread in the legal section first because I wanted to know what would be the legal implication in the end.

Since KIK's getting sued by the sec, many people are saying that Kik will fight it if the case goes to hearing..
but what would be the ultimate outcome if sec wins? what if defendcrypto funds is not enough?

could sec force kik to buy back all tokens and / refund investors? or would kik be let go with just a hefty fine / settlement? what do you guys think the most realistic worst-case scenario could be?

So I am opening this thread separately here to know more about the in general opinion of most of you here.. what do you guys think the final outcome will be? settlement? or a win for kik?
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: big banks going against crypto on: June 09, 2019, 06:45:43 PM
FinTech banks are disrupting traditional banks, but what if you want to move your money into a cryptocurrency asset? If you sweep your funds into a cryptocurrency account, what cryptocurrency are you going to use to hold your funds?

By sweeping I think you are implying buying into an asset? in that case I will choose any of the stable coins first.. well maybe except tether  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes andI only wish when I started people told me about stable coins first, that way I would have saved so much of my money that got lost in swinging asset value.

and remember thet JPM Coin exists, JP morgan is not the first bank in us with its own crypto but do you see any fud or hype about it? know why? because they're actually using the crypto for its tech benefit and not based on hyped value. More and more banks will follow the same path as the industry matures.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 09, 2019, 06:40:14 PM
Bitcoin got banned in India and China so Bitcoin is worthless in these 2 countries. People of India will lose $10,000 or $100,000 if they do not get buyers in other countries at $7000.

But who will buy 1 Bitcoin for $7000 ??  Grin  Insider's Information for Gold and Silver

Bollywood superstar "Amitabh Bachchan" earned multi-million dollars by starting a Bitcoin company.

all are false information.. bitcoin ban thing was denied by that countries central bank rbi and it is only a proposal created by  one group of politicians. not actual law.
Not too sure about that bolywood star thing you are saying but most of what you say is just baseless fud..
India tried banning, tiktok, their own movies showing rape culture, food yes they tried banning beef lol thats pretty stupid. They even tried banning porn, trying to ban btc would be similar to them trying to ban porn lol
They're crazy that way.. even my country's central bank thinks btc will not fulfil basic roles but I think these are wrong judgements..made by stupid people. dont pay attention to such fud.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wait, who owns the market? on: June 09, 2019, 06:33:20 PM
Understand who controls the market you are investing or trading in, and you’ll have an advantage. Bitcoin is a free and open source market. Nobody owns it.

But does anyone control it?

Ask yourself this—

How are Bitcoins created?

Who is incentivised to create Bitcoin?

Between 2013 and the beginning of 2017, big money had been slowly moving in on Bitcoin. They saw its potential as a relatively rare asset and also the mechanism that made it work. Bitcoin is seen as having a value greater than the sum of its parts.

most wallets, nearly 80% of all btc wallets that is, hold less than $100 in btc worth
less than 1% of all people actually own most of the btc right now.

You can see the charts here : https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs gonna phase out very soon? on: June 09, 2019, 06:25:24 PM
it might be a popular consensus that icos are phasing out but the reality is, it is only happening because the scams have existed. Once new regulartory frameworks are implemented in more and more countries, icos will make a come back. it will not be the wild west anymore. so no, I dont think icos will completely phase out.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: hardware wallets safe? on: June 09, 2019, 06:10:49 PM
At the moment, a hardware purse is the most reliable means for storing crypto. If you have large amounts of crypto, then you definitely need a hardware wallet.

never seen someone call it a purse before  Roll Eyes Cheesy Cheesy
But yes, hardware wallets or software wallets that let you transform your mobile devices into cold storage wallets are the safest way to store bitcoin or any crypto for that matter.

But software wallets can also be safe if you are an advanced user that knows how to keep your machine clean of worms and malware.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing. on: June 09, 2019, 06:06:45 PM
First is to do a quick search on any suggestions made by members of the forum, it is very important to read any project you find interesting enough to want to invest, read about the dev team behind the project, their track record and what project is all about, without any good dev team behind a project, your investment good be at risk, there are good alts that you can chose from with still very low price, e.g ada, zil, enj, daps etc are good but can be long term, or you can look Temtum up, amazing project from what i read in wp, ieo will be announced soon.

I agree, the first and foremost thing is research. If you do not have the time then spend some of your investment capital to hire someone who has already done the research or someone that can do it for you. Do not invest just because you want to invest, you have to time it right, for instance if you invested in btc in 2018 jan, you would be crying now. So don't make that mistake that many make and you will be safe. If you need more advise send me a message.

If you choose the investment method, it is better to make bitcoin the first choice, as the foremost coin in crypto it is safer to hold in the long term and also a good profit.

Really? can you say the same thing to someone who invested in btc in 2018? stop giving advise if you dont know what the implications could be.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Likely to Double in Coming Months on: June 09, 2019, 05:59:46 PM
yes, halving on litecoin will increase the demands and of course the demands will make the price increase
thats maybe the main causes why litecoin price will be doubled in coming months

but what is the actual use of litecoin? is there any innovation in the project? Litecoin's whole purpose was to beat btc in speed and lightness, with the LN implemented, btc would itself be faster, would that not make LTC obsolete?
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins to buy now on: June 09, 2019, 05:46:24 PM
do you have good suggestion for altcoins who can do x4 x6 in the next big rally , i do not mean x4 x6 in $ but in BTC ... if i buy 0.5 BTC of this coin the total return need to be 2 BTC ... i was thinking ICON icx and another one ? maybe ontology nano ?
mai apne nice be in safer side will always been worth at the end so I think investing only on Bitcoin will be enough for a person to get his expected profit so I definitely go only with Bitcoin investment in most of the time.

That's not accurate, Bitcoin could only bump by a few times its current value, realistically. Maybe it'll be 100k someday in 50 years, but that would be the extent of it. 10 - 20 times its current value.
But altcoins can get around a few hundred to a few thousand times more expensive.

do you have good suggestion for altcoins who can do x4 x6 in the next big rally , i do not mean x4 x6 in $ but in BTC ... if i buy 0.5 BTC of this coin the total return need to be 2 BTC ... i was thinking ICON icx and another one ? maybe ontology nano ?

It is not that simple. since btc's price is calculated generally in usd and altcoins not so much. ICX is good, and if KIN makes it out of regulatory hell, it'll be worth it as well.

No shitcoin should even make one safe or even advisable to risk at all because most times, technical analysis or fundamental analysis does not even work for one to be able to predict them.
Though I have some shitcoin on purpose but with money I know I can easily dash a beggar on the road without feeling it, most of my shitcoin in my portfolio are being held there waiting to see the end of them. So as you advise, it is best to commit ones money in a project that one is sure has potential and can last about 10 years.

So you mean to say even if your shitcoin bag becomes 100k$ you won't dump it? that's a bit idealistic and unrealistic isnt it?

I'm following the price of BNB now. Recently it has become very popular. In this case, more continuous speculation can spread. Risks are always present but BNB can leave a good profit

bnb is the safest bet i think. In a year or two it will surely be equal to 200 or more .. in USD I mean.

It's currently a token, but will migrate relatively soon.

So some interesting points about the project:

- created by PHD guys with a lot of experience in the field
- audited by New Alchemy
- covered by Forbes.com, VentureBeat, CoinTelegraph, CNBC...
- recently partnered with TOP 50 blchain company
- has MVP since early 2018, now working on large UX/UI improvements

All who are interested please PM me.

Thanks

this is significantly better stats than what I expected. Like I said, I am not a marketer but I would be interested in helping you in whatever way i can, if you will entertain me, let's have a chat.
475  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: youtube channels about crypto on: June 09, 2019, 05:28:45 PM
Hello, guys!

Can you tell me -- what youtube-channels do you watch?
IvanOnTech -- what else?

To tell the truth, I'm looking for a good channel to buy native ads.
So -- if you got any experience with ads -- tell me, please.

Thnx

the channel that I most watch is from Andy Posecu. also Badescu Mihai used to make regular videos but i dont see him anymore..

You should instead try to adverstise with adsense and youtube ads, they have algorythms that pick the most relevant videos with the most relevant demography and display your ad accordingly. You can try text ads to see which presets get you the most clickbacks and then repeat the same metric with video ads.
Good luck

476  Economy / Economics / Re: The Satoshi Value Economy on: June 09, 2019, 05:21:20 PM
I didn't know that, at least i not made any research. The main problem in my opinion is that sometimes not worth to send low amount of bitcoin, like 100 satoshi or 1000 because fee can be higher than amount sent.

Bitcoin LN will solve that problem. I think an extensive study needs to be done on the merit of OP's post and find out why even some national legal tenders are worth less than a single satoshi.
This also presents the dilemma of getting confused between the use of Bitcoin as a pure investment asset or a real transactional currency. With rising value, even LN would become expensive one day.
477  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Can we rent out the site users data? (emails and names only) on: June 09, 2019, 05:17:36 PM
So i was doing a crypto project in 2016. It was a crypto shopping platform. Now we it shut it down due to few reasons which i'll share later. Now i'm wondering if we could rent out users email which is around 2200+. I don't want to sell and handover emails to anyone. We'll just send a email blast.

In our privacy policy page we did mention that third parties may have access to your information.

is this even possible? how much we should charge per email blast?

--
We shut it down because of these reasons.
  • We couldn't scale it. As our tech part was weak.
  • We lost interest in it. As we engaged in other non crypto projects.
  • Crypto regulations and reputation. It's getting worse and worse.

--
We still receive queries from customers to start the service again. If you're some who's interested in running it. I have some more plans/ideas which i'll pass onto you. Hit me a DM for it.

things like this is the reason facebook landed in the cambridge analytica scandal. You guys try to monetize every bit of user data without any thought about what the individual user might face as a result of your greed.
remind me to NEVER sign up under any thing that you own.
478  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: bither help on: June 09, 2019, 03:58:29 PM
Try to create a dump file of your wallet. Then import it on a fresh installation, and sweep individual key.
I've faced a siimilar issue when I was trying to set up the cold wallet with bither (not bitpie). Turns out it was a permission error. So try and check the permissions as well.
479  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BTC halving and hash power on: June 09, 2019, 03:47:19 PM
I can not figure it out. If miners get less and less BTC each halving wouldn't they eventually start decreasing hash power when BTC value stops rising making the blockchain prone to 51% attack?

Decreasing hashrate might happen. However, miners can also invent more electricity efficient ASICs and exploit cheaper forms of electricity.

Both of youare somewhat incorrect. BTC value has nothing to do with hashpower, an increasing difficulty and a reducing hashpower will also directly corelate to a decreasing supply for btc. making the existing btc rise in value, given other conditions are stable. once all the btc is mined, miners will only depend on tx fees instead of block rewards.
And i do not think there is room for much more innovation from the hardware size as it is pushing the physical limits of what is possible right now.
480  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Forming corporate accounts for Kraken on: June 09, 2019, 02:56:16 PM
interested in those who have incorporated various structures in order to make accounts for kraken. I asked about compliance issues with kraken and their department hasn't gotten back in touch with me.

I'm wondering if I make an international business company with myself appointed as the ultimate beneficiary and the director if they'll let me use 50x leverage. Frank Dodd ECP law is hyper complex convoluted crap. I also want to make a regular corporate account for myself even if it's not 50x leverage.

I think you will have to actually have proper registration to pass for corporate accounts. no matter your investment capacity, margin trades are incredibly risky for exchanges, just look at the losses at poloniex. So I think exchanges will be extremely reluctant into letting you open corporate accounts that way.
