I have two other people who have PM'ed me that are interested in buying them first, so I'll keep you in mind if those deals fall through somehow.

Interested or willing to send you money right this minute?

The first person in line seems eager to complete the deal, so I'll wait to hear back from him.

And honestly, I'm going to choose him over having to spend 10 minutes of my time to get the bullion out again, take another photo that doesn't look like shit, adjust it in PS for my crappy lighting because you can't use a flash on something this shiny, and upload it.

I agree 100% with your statement, i've seen so many vaporware unreleashed products in my lifetime.

I used to be into the hobby of playing, how can I put it, low-production run electronic musical instruments (analog synthesizers).

Time and time again, you'd see people pay in full up front for gear from certain manufacturers that hadn't entered production with promised delivery date of "12 weeks" or so. Then after year or 18 months of getting nothing but excuses, the people who gave them their money would slowly start whining en-masse on internet forums. The product would finally get released after 2-3 years. The sad part is that even after continuously breaking promised dates, these people are still in business (and still breaking delivery promises) because people just *have* to have them.

The thing BFL has going for them with this ASIC stuff that gets you hooked into pre-ordering is that it would literally be a very bad investment to buy any other mining hardware options at this time, so you might as well put that money somewhere.

Granted, there's now at least two other firms promising ASIC's at this time, but they have nowhere near the brand recognition.

have you done any trades with members here?

I'm attempting to, but it seems most here have been spoiled by a few rotten apples with regards to trading their BTC for merchandise/retarded Ponzi schemes. So they choose the "guilty before proven innocent" mindset.

LOL, if you don't trust me then don't deal with me. I posted real pics when I had this ad up that nobody was interested in last month.

What can I say? I've posted my terms. Not going to spend all this time posting here to rip someone off for $50. I'm not even anonymous (see website link in my sig). I've already modified the normal way I've done business for 17 years in only requiring 50% payment upfront and not the full amount.

I was told I now have control over the collected data so since pirate was able to scare off some key people we will need to reevaluate.

I'm not even sure why I bother with legit business if people really are this consistantly dumb.

The baron; good points I'm not sure how much I value it being anonymous or not.  Are there deposit limits with dwolla, mtgox, and bit instant?

If you get verified at Mtgox, you'd be able to transfer up to $10k daily and $50k monthly into your account. You do have to ask for your account limits to be upgraded after the verification process, though. They are not automatically increased. I don't think Dwolla has a limit, as long as the payment clears your bank account.

Bitinstant has a practical limit of $500 per transaction and $2k per day. It's going to cost you a minimum of $24 in fees for every $500 you buy. But since BTC are going up so quickly, you will probably have an advantage of buying them now instead of waiting for MtGox verification and your Dwolla payment to clear. My 2 Satoshi's, anyway...

Anonymous? Bitinstant.com
Don't care about anonymity? A verified Mtgox.com with a Dwolla.com account for funding.

Personally, I have both options available to me. But I hate waiting a week for the money to clear, so I use Bitinstant.

Anyone who puts all the money upfront for an unreleased product without final specs deserves any waiting period and product they end up with.
471  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Going after Trendon Shavers, Pirateat40, BTCST on: September 18, 2012, 02:19:14 AM
Well, that's half an answer.
Why? Probably because of pirate threatning the ones who sued him would not see a dime.

I must have missed this. Whoever believes it is a damn fool.

Well, if you put your money in BS&T...you sort of are to begin with.

Anyone got mnemonics/short hand or something that would allow a person to create and sign transactions in prison?  Then send them out to someone you can trust enough to broadcast to network (but perhaps not enough to keep your private keys.)

Tattoo's.

I reckon Pirate has a load of cash and coin at his disposal maybe not the full amount owed but a lot and he just wants to keep it.  If he puts all the coin in a brain wallet he could just declare bankruptcy.

Most of it has probably been converted to gold bullion and is in some storage locker(s) spread around the country rented under business names. At least, that's what I would do.
475  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you do with a million dollars worth of customer data? on: September 16, 2012, 04:56:50 PM
From experience with a former co-working taking client data, it's absolutely possible to discover who it was.
476  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you do with a million dollars worth of customer data? on: September 16, 2012, 04:37:55 PM
I'm wondering what this has to do with Bitcoin and why you would be asking here?

Because he wants to be paid in BTC for the data.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DDOS for ransom on: September 16, 2012, 06:18:51 AM
Again, even if they pay, in a high profile case like this it's going to be hard to find places to spend those Bitcoins because of their traceability.

Hills really get in the way of trying to run a pirate radio station.
