461  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: July 07, 2014, 11:10:40 PM
I am very closely watching this thread and your posts as well.

If you had a thermal camera you could understand what I meant.

Check again the temperatures of both the heatsink and the VRM of the problematic ones.
If you see huge variation, then again is a BAD contact.

Are you sure you are checking the right VRM's?

I do not know about the Neptune boards, but the Jup have a strange numeration.

Check here:

which would then explain why the front 4 would be the cooler ones and the back 4 be the hotter ones Smiley

tzortz, you by chance wouldn't happen to know the numbers for the oct. model would ya? and the 8vrm one?

Nope
463  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: HASHRA - LUNAR SERIES - ASIC SCRYPT MINERS on: July 07, 2014, 10:27:55 AM
Over a week now since I placed my order and still no communication.

Think I'm going to make a complaint to their payment processor, hopefully they'll put their account on hold.  At least then they can't take any more money from consumers.

Has anyone heard anything from Hashra or had a delivery recently?

I have not gotten any replies from Hashra/Simon yet, since 27/6/2014. However I have spoken to a few buyers who complained in this thread earlier https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=659732.20

Most of them got their units. Still, I need a reply from Simon regarding my order.

Thanks for the link to the other thread. Wish I'd seen that before I ordered. But as my first order went OK I'd let my guard down. Thoroughly disappointed.

why are you guys buying these asic's? with over 4 month ROI if the diff rate didn't change...you really think this is a good deal? oh and that is with free power n pool...just don't get it

I mentioned it earlier and elsewhere but it's not just the miner that will get you the money back it's what you do with what you mine that will. You need to trade what you mine on the exchanges to see good returns which is much work in itself. There are scores of casualties of those who though they could just buy a rig and get easy money which of course does not exist.

That's just stupid.  If you can successfully make money trading, why not just buy the coins you are going to trade?  Why buy a machine that by your own admission costs more than the coins it mines?

but brian...you didn't answer my ? either...why'd ya buy it if yer not going to make yer money back?

Hey OP cool rig and out of my league  just one question?

why the Energy saving Light bulb in that picture when this rig is a power whore?  Cheesy

thought that was cool as hell.

lol... they are kinda standard around here nowadays.  They last longer than incandescent, use less power, and I had spares cause thats all I use in my house Smiley

nice rigs Smiley better then the monster mess i build hehe and yes you can't buy old bulbs anymore in the states...they stopped making them...so yep i have 3200w btc mining going on with energy saving light bulbs too hehe...its the little things that helps...the 4 bill month power doesn't help on profit thou Sad

At that price a break even time is about 130 days. And that is assuming free power, and that the litecoin difficulty does go up at all.

dunno if he changed the price but ya..still 17bucks short of ROI with no rate change...hmm i like how he didn't even bother to acknowledge your post...wonder if they are selling any units?
467  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: PRICE SLASH. NEW B2 34 MH/s Scrypt mining asic - In stock for EU/UK stock- $2450 on: July 07, 2014, 02:17:37 AM
still don't see it...after 140 days, paying for power, 0% fee pool, and ltc diff. rate not changing still 100 bucks short of ROI Sad and we all know ltc diff rate isn't going down anytime soon...are you guys selling alotta units? you could probably run this thing for a year and still not even break even the way ltc diff rate is gona jump up
468  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [Selling] Batch 1 AntMiner S3s on: July 07, 2014, 02:13:13 AM
670 nice premium Smiley wish i'd thought of this...remember to always escrow Wink

It would be a much better premium if Amazon didn't take such a huge cut. When Bitmain starts shipping them quicker, I believe the ability to sell them on Amazon will evaporate. I've received 7 orders so far - so someone's interested  Smiley

gratz
469  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 250mhs VIPER Preorder #67XX on: July 07, 2014, 01:34:13 AM
I want to sell my 250mhs Viper Scrypt ASIC preorder. I ordered very early (within the first few days) with order #67XX.  I paid 1,635 gpd down, the remainder is due ASAP and I unfortunately do not have the cash to pay it.  You will be responsible for the remaining 3,849.99 gbp.  They are shipping to you by the end of July.  I will accept BTC or LTC and am willing to hear all offers.

good luck with this Smiley and remember to always escrow Wink

(see reply #13)

I've never heard of them.  Seems a little hard to believe that units have started shipping and we haven't heard anything from KnC about it.  I was expecting more of an August/September delivery schedule, but who knows

probably a scam Wink scams are all the rage nowdays

if you don't know what escrow is...i give btc to ognasty the escrower...you ship items..i test'em, they work, ognasty sends you the btc Smiley

even if ltc diff. rate doesn't move for 140 days and at 900 price tag...still won't ROI in 140 days...and we all know diff. rate isn't gonna stay the same...dunno why anyone would wanna throw their money away into getting these units? am i missing something?

if ya get down to 600 PM me...least then in 4mths i can maybe make ROI Smiley

I paid $1650, but thanks for your input.

i'm just curious, WHY? am i missing something? what roi rate did you figure out?
