Some altcoin could have a short pump, meaning that the price will be increasing in few hours, and then it goes back to drop, after that it will it will just follow the market trend again, they wouldn't make their own trend. Most of this altcoin usually has low market cap, so the pump is most likely because some 'whale' manipulating the price.
i dont think so about it, alot major caps also pumped in this bearish trend. i think whales now move their money from bitcoin to altcoins and its showed by several altcoin strong although bitcoin dumped. especially altcoin that have good fundamental and utility maybe it could decouple to bitcoin. we see GALA , FLM as strong altcoin in this day , bitcoin price dumped but its still able to earn gains. |

That's not easy to identify new projects have a good potential, by do research, team roadmaps white papers, it is also not enough. Lately investors are rarely interested in new projects, if you OP want to invest in new projects my suggest it's better to hold on and monitor first progress of the project you're aiming, or more suggestions from me better invest in old projects that already have potential.

I think both crypto and forex are equally profitable if we understand how it works. Because as you said both have advantages and disadvantages, it's up to us to decide which one is good for us. I think it would be hard to make a decentralized swap exchange that runs between various chains.
We need some kind of bridge to connect between the chains, for example between Ethereum and Binance smart chain network.
And if there is one chain that have high transaction fee, then our cost to swap between chains will be high too.
Basically, there are many things to consider when we deal with different chains and networks.

Bitcoin is the right choice right now. The price of $20k is a very small number compared to last year's bull run. Bitcoin has dropped more than 50%, which means that the chance to hit the ATH price in the future is very possible. current price only 1/3 from lastest all time high and honestly it cheap enough for long investment. The value of Bitcoin has several implications on the general cryptocurrency market.
