The DAO projects use Ethereum to run. Not only that but by the DAO locking in x% of total ETH limits the market supply of Ethereum for others to buy. If demand increases because of the first sentence then you can see what will happen to the price. |

That will reduce the supply of Eth. Correct with the success of the DAO and now reduced supply of ETH we can expect some meaty price gains in ETH. |

The Ethereum price is quite stable at the moment. There is no big increase. Does it mean the DAO prevents its drop? Quite possibly; it could drop significantly when the DAO funding stage ends. etheruem only have about 8,000btc of all the $800million market cap. if dao decided to dump their eth and get real cash to fund their coding, marketing and hiring then this scam vaporware etheureum could drop from $800million market cap to $8million in an instant. The DAO can't decide anything of the like without putting the vote to holders. Most of which are long in ETH so wouldn't vote for such an action. Markets say BTC being coverted into ETH to buy DAO. DAO needs ETH to function. No surprises what this will do long term to ETH price. Does it mean the Ethereum will circulate in the DAO system and will not be released to the market later? Thoese Ethereum will be used in the Ethereum network by the DAO. It will not be sold to the market again. Good point, as a result it will boost the value of Ethereum in return. isnt the price tied to ETH? So if you want out you can swap directly back into ETH. yes, 1 ETH = 100 shares = rougly 10 dollars => 10ct per share I mean when you want to convert back out of DAO is it not again a straight swap 100 dao = 1 eth. |

i think eth still got some life in it. but in the long run its going down but it will take some time.
While microsoft still funding their development, it's very unlikely that ETH will die. The devs are still active , so dying is still hard for ETH. The devs are active, the DAO is being brought to life, the financial corporations are building on the Ethereum, and the community is strong. Fertile grounds for investment. |

The Slock DAO is the first DAO. There will be more and DAO which use Etheruem as the Etheruem is useful to the community. The first of many.
