4601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum dump starts? on: August 11, 2015, 09:13:05 PM
Funny looking dump going on.  It's like a reverse dump.

Just some waves... Just watch them crash on the beach soon Wink Still a lot of coins to hit the exchanges imo.. 500% return in 1.5 year after investment is still great for "normal" investors.. Not the spoiled crypto kids.
Where do you fools keep getting threse stupid inflated IPO profit #s they bought at 2000 eth per 2014 BTC not 2015 BTC dumbass

That's 2000/630

Not

2000/270

If anything its a 200%  profit if they can sell at six which still nice is nothing compared to what they deserve for the risk
They took

None of the IPO investors will even make any profit unless it goes above 3

If anyone is making $$ right now its those who bought far Belo the IPO price and the devs
4602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum dump starts? on: August 11, 2015, 05:13:29 AM
There be a lot of crying bagholders around, other than hype what has it going for it
  • No hard cap unlimited supply
  • Open source software so plenty of better copys
  • Upcoming Rollback
  • No wallet
  • A dev running around in his goofy underwear
  • ......

Currently Kraken   ETH/BTC   $0.699954
I assume one of the devs dumped a massive amount he had as a part of his premine and even sold the BTC and cashed out to fiat, just an idea of we saw a small btc dip.
Get real bro they can't afford to rollback shit

4604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum - Stay out! on: August 10, 2015, 12:29:00 AM
Is this the next Paycoin fiasco?

Nothing will Rival the paycoin fiasco, at least with ethereum if it does go down as a scam only speculators and ICO investors will be screwed

with Paycoin he scamed housewives , regular 9-5vers who were just dipping their feet into the cloud mining thing.  Bascially he scammed a HUGE cross section

of the general ecosystem and basically soured the average joe on digital currencies
4605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHEREUM SCAM WARNING!! SCAM SCAM SCAM on: August 08, 2015, 09:57:39 PM
You conveniently forget that bitcoin was $600 back then
4606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM Warning! Moderating of ethereum.org for any negative feedback. on: August 08, 2015, 08:51:12 AM
I got around 300 eth , should I dump it at current prices or wait?

4608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Ether Mining Profitability Calculator on: August 07, 2015, 12:35:53 AM
www.Mining-Ether.com

Currently you need to allow 'access control expose headers' if you don't in your browser. The Etherchain API does not have the headers for this loaded in, so I couldn't get cross domain requests to work, they kept getting rejected for "No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource" if anybody has any ideas. Anyways, if the calc doesn't load for you, you can install that CORS plugin and it will work. Hope to have that resolved soon.

These numbers will look similar if you use a pool, haven't tried solo mining against them yet, so please let me know. The estimations on this for my pool mining have been between max +- 1 ETH so far.

Hope it helps some miners out there.

its not working in chrome or IE for mw

Hey Mark, is this the PSU you swapped:

http://www.amazon.ca/Supernova-1300G2-Atx12V-1300-watt-120-G2-1300-Xr/dp/B00COIZTZM/ref=pd_sim_sbs_147_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=1FWWSJG58XXGWR59V6WE

Im going to pick one up and see if it solves my problem.
yeah those are my go to PSU's as well for everything

they are great , plus they even have a plastic piece for running them withoute a board.  I do the same, replace the junk a2 psu's as the fail with those
4610  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Bladecenter H 2880W Breakout Boards. First batch closed, now selling from stock on: August 06, 2015, 02:32:43 PM
So I bought a couple of break out boards a few months ago and it seem they are not working now? The fans on the psu wont spin , I thought the psus were bad ( 2880 IBM ones )
But I got two brand  new psus off eBay and its the same deal, first two green lights go on
Psu starts to get super hot BC fans wont activate

I've tried sp20s ants 🐜. Any ideas?

Hi, it will depend on the date you ordered the boards.
The very first batch had some trouble because the pins dimensions were out of specs, so the contact wasn't perfect on the signal to turn on the psu or the fans.
The batches after that have signal pins soldered systematically to avoid any trouble, even if the pins are now to specs.

You can probably see even without removing the white plate if the pin to turn on the PSU is soldered

the one under the "n" is usually visible from the outside.

the one in the square under the "H" turns the fans on.

Good catch

I was able to fix one of the breakout boards by resoldering the contact , now the PSU works so fuck me I have 2 extras of these PSUs and nothing for them to
power if you could have told me to check that bit on the breakout boards when I first had the issues could have saved me a bit of cash. I'll have to feebay the extra PSU's

The other breakout board seems to be toast probably would have to take it apart to figure out what's wrong with it but yeah its the breakout boards since the one I "Fixed" powers the fans on all the PSU's now even the used ones I got from you.

If you soldered both pins on the second breakout board the last thing that can fail is the switch.
There are two holes next to it that I use for testing purpose and can also be used for a remote switch. You can connect both holes with a paperclip to bypass the switch. Spacing is also correct to solder 2 pins and use a jumper.

I'll take a look at those two holds and

I didn't solder anything on the other one (not working one) , I looked at all the pins and they seem to make contact.  The switch works though since the unit actually powers on , I'll send you a PM for another  two breakout boards and worry about fixing this one later.  I don't have anything for these units to power until I get my alcheminer fixed though.

Put them back to the stock firmware or try the new one by Antz
4612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Custom Innosilicon A2 Terminator image - Anx Edition on: August 06, 2015, 05:56:29 AM
Played with the image and liking it so far, one thing though it defaults to 1200mzh
Which my miner with a weak psu cuased it to go into a die loop before I could find the ip and set it to 1100

I ended up throwing in a new psu just so I could try your firmware

P.s how come no over clock options? Either way really nice work

SFARDs just released best efficency ratio but its a dual miner which kinda kills it for most here.  On top of that its way too expensive
4619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A2 Mega Help!!!! on: July 30, 2015, 11:50:07 PM
Sounds good, do you know where I could get that image? ANd when I plugged in my SD card I could only find one image. It was a file entitled "Kernel" and it's really small. Maybe the sd card did not come with the image in the first place and that's why it's flashing lights?

I dont know what you mean by image , there should be a bunch of files on the sd card not just one.

look at the guide for flashing here

http://zoomhash.com/pages/a2-and-mini-a2-software-setup

remeber the mega image is for the 12chip boards  (terminators)

and the other image is for the older 8chip.

you need to use a flashing tool to flash the correct image to you SD card, it takes like 10 mins

here are  the pictures of my extra boards

as you can see they are in like new conndtion have the even been used ?!

rest can be seen on imigur

ntice the 8 pin connector ? i did some further testing and i found that with an 8 pin connector (those yellow things you see in one of my images) the board powers up.  Ive not tested the remaining board but I assume it is the same deal.

If you want to pay shipping Emdje i can send you one of these boards so you could use it modify your image, these new boards seem to have a bit more overhead to run faster than the older ones with the proper cooling.

I'm also looking for a way to run more than six boards off one RPI, the issue is the controller board which only has six connectors for six asics.  Is there any cabling out there i could use to daisy chain more than six boards to one controller ?
