4601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: January 30, 2022, 08:32:16 PM
Canada vs USA will be our concern whoever wins will take over the standings while mexico in other matches will continue to hunt for the standings
At least the top 3 teams still have a chance for the standings if Canada vs USA draw then Mexico will take advantage at least the same points as USA

What I find interesting is that Mexico is behind the USA and Canada. They might not even make it to the World Cup. And usually they usually participate.
This indicates that Canada has done an amazing job in football and is performing amazingly. Will Canada be a surprise in the World Cup, in this edition?
It's hard to measure the real potential of the national teams from this group, because all of them are at similar performance levels, that totally contrasts with teams from South America and Europe, which usually present much superior skills' levels. But it would be really nice to see teams like USA and Canada reaching the quarter finals, at least. As I see they are constantly trying to improve their soccer proficiency every 4 years and never give up, especially USA, which has never been out of a world cup since 1990, with the exception of the last one in Russia, four years ago.

How much are faucet users making hourly right now? Is it possible to reach at least 1$?
4603  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 29, 2022, 10:35:22 PM
A good moment to buy bitcoin is always now, on the present! There are lots of people who keep waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect dip to finally acquire their first portion of bitcoin, but that is actually a big mistake, because nobody can predict it accurately. So what happens is that these people never start investing and when they realize this fact, it's already too late, because bitcoin becomes too expensive for them to buy a nice amount of satoshis. That is why people should just invest in bitcoin, doesn't matter the currently price, while not getting anxious to see financial returns on short run.
4604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Quarter Finals. on: January 29, 2022, 09:49:32 PM
Now I expect Cameroon versus Senegal for the final countdown. I think it's safe to bet on Cameroon against Egypt or Morocco and on Senegal against Equatorial Guinea and Burkina Faso next. For the finals, however, I think it can be an interesting duel with both teams scoring and fighting for the title fiercely, although Cameroon really look like the favorite and more skilled these days.
I just hope violence scenes like the ones seen on the game between Cameroon and Comoros don't repeat themselves for the next games. That was a barbaric shame for african soccer, leading to 8 deaths.

Another frustration was the way Ghana ended its participation on the championship. That was not the same Ghana from past world cups...
4605  Economy / Economics / Re: Which business profit model do you prefer? on: January 29, 2022, 07:43:54 PM
Or the the sort that only attends to the rich, and the poor cannot afford it, that is your profit is from the rich alone and usually huge, and comes occasionally?
This is a profitable kind of business, but not applicable everywhere. Even if I say I prefer to work with the rich, it might not be my reality, because the area where you live heavily influences on this. If you live in poor zones, it's very unlikely you will be able to start a business focused in rich customers. It will be probably a waste of money and time, so you always need to adapt yourself to your own reality or move yourself to somewhere else where you will find the target audience you are looking for in abundance. Moreover, rich customers will demand improved skills and quality from the services offered, so you have to make sure to deliver what they are expecting.

Meanwhile, businesses focused on the masses let the quality in second plan and focus more on affordable prices for everyone. So they rely on the quantity of sales in order to make decent profit.
4606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy positioned #1 BTC holder, Tesla still at #2nd! on: January 29, 2022, 07:11:53 PM
From the total list of 26 companies, only 3 businesses belong to the Software sector, while 15 are exclusive from crypto industry (mining, exchange or investment firm). More than half of the institutional investors from the top 26 are actually crypto businesses. It gives an impression mainstream companies are still avoiding bitcoin on their treasuries.

It's very nice to see a strong adopter like MicroStrategy always supporting bitcoin during its hardest moments, but without competition it doesn't make much sense. Because it's competition which keeps any markets alive and thriving. That means, more companies purchasing and accumulating bitcoin at same time. Hegemony isn't good in this case...
4607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man lost everything to Crypto on: January 29, 2022, 05:56:25 PM
It looks like "man lost everything to his addictions" would fit better as the title of these news. Of course crypto investments are risky and it's possible to lose money if you pick the wrong coins or sell them at the wrong time, but it doesn't mean people are going to lose everything because of a bad move, exclusively.

Since he lost all he had I suppose it has something to do with his behavior, mindset, methods, strategies (or the lack of them) when investing, and not with his luck or crypto market itself. I just feel sad because news like this discourage average people to try experimenting cryptocurrency, as they imagine the same is going to happen to them, so they are going to lose everything as well. 4608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 29, 2022, 05:28:40 PM
Well, you are right that we have heard about it but number 1 won't work with gambling addicts. They will know when to stop but they can't prevent the urge to gamble so it won't work unless he/she have help or support from friends to stop the urge to gamble. Better change the mindset to having fun using your own budget for gambling ony instead of focusing on pocketing huge amount of money. After all, most gambling are based on luck.
If they have a strong will, they can manage to control themselves.

It always end up with that idea if they really want to stop, they'll control themselves and let their will live on it because that's what they want to happen.

But if they can't just stop themselves, that's going to trigger them to gamble more and despite they want to stop, they can't because their will isn't strong enough.
You are right, because first of all the addicted gambler himself must want to stop gambling to overcome his addiction. No friends, family or therapists can cure an addiction if the individual on the center of the issue is reluctant in doing so. Third parties' help is useful as a support and as an incentive to encourage the addicted gambler during the hard times, when he may think about giving up his fight for sobriety. However, the battle is always fought by the addicted person, so the biggest part of the effort must come from him. He must be confident and resilient until the end.
4609  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: January 28, 2022, 08:03:53 PM
That can work,if Bitcoin is cheaper in price you should normally get more rewards but I am afraid that at Wheel of Fortune the max I have seen is the 50 as a base reward for Satoshis,Reward Points and Lottery tickets.Hopefully this changes and with 732 spins I am pretty confident you are going maybe to hit all the biggest rewards of 5000 in each Satoshis,Reward Points and Lottery tickets but you maybe lucky and hit an Amazon Gift card,Iphone or that famous Rolex that is sitting there from a really long time now Grin
Thank you, I hope you are lucky to win any of those sweet prizes as well! We don't want those rewards to get old, dusty and forgotten on freebitco,in's shelf without any winners, right? Wink
But so far I've accumulated only 276 spins.

Even if bitcoin crashes further, the maximum base reward is 50 sats/lottery tickets/RP. So with the current BTC price, I just keep playing my daily WOF and I am not saving them up anymore. When bitcoin starts to increase again in price, than it is indeed interesting to really save up your WOF and wait until the price is lower again.
Well, that was something I wasn't aware of. I believed satoshis, RPs and lottery tickets prizes would keep increasing without being limited to 50 as btc price goes down...
4610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market sentiments ? on: January 28, 2022, 05:59:28 PM
Big sums of money leaving crypto market in one shot (whales cashing out) are responsible for that. Sentiments come only later, when every investors else realize what happened, so they become pessimistic about the currently market conditions, what can lead to further corrections in bitcoin's price, and consequently in altcoins' prices as well due to panic selling.
Anyway small investors (most of us) don't have a big impact in bitcoin price: positively or negatively, it doesn't matter. Bitcoin drives crypto market and whales drive bitcoin price...
4611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is El Salvador in debt because of the bitcoin price drop? on: January 28, 2022, 05:15:26 PM
It's undeniable El Salvador increases its debt regards the investment made in bitcoins when compared to the price it was bought if the cryptocurrency's price keeps falling. Although it's not a problem for now, as the investment was made aiming long term returns for the country's treasury. Only in some years or in a decade we will be able to conclude if that was a good step or not for El Salvador to have invested in bitcoin.

The point is that El Salvador faces a difficult economical situation for a long time already, currently with 84% of its GDP compromised with debt and I don't think bitcoin is going to be a magical tool which will solve all their financial problems suddenly. The government actually needs to attract foreigner investors and foreigner funds to their country in order to increase the GDP and decrease debt. It's not an easy task though. Tourism could be a decent source of income for the country, but the pandemic difficults it from happening. Moreover, there are so many countries and islands around which directly compete for the same kind of public in tourism sector.

Who else sees the dip as a silver lining for free spins and WOF returns? Feels sort of nice to get a big 500 or 5000 RP bump when you hit the "big" one instead of only 300 or 3000.

Not a significant increase but I do feel that bit richer somehow, and besides, next cycle it's definitely worth a heck lot more lol.

Happy almost Friday everyone!

Well, I have FUN tokens locked on 180 days... now I have 6 spins daily! I also gathered some WoF spins:

I think most of us are used to these market declines over the years... in crypto, this is something "normal"! So I don't care much about it, I am doing the same things as I did before the dip! FUN is young, we need to give it time to become something more... for now, I think things are going great, and most of us who are using it are simply satisfied! S

Happy "almost weekend" everyone!
I'm also saving my spins to use all at once when bitcoin reaches a cheaper price yet. I expect bitcoin is still going to crash a little more, because US Federal Reserve has said interest rates for investors is going to be raised soon, and from the moment it happens on, whales are probably going to cashout more funds from bitcoin to invest on traditional american markets, what will make bitcoin lose value.
Then it will be the perfect time for long term holders to use the wheel spins, maximizing satoshis earnings to keep for the future. Have a good weekend!
4613  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Banks, Exchanges and your Privacy on: January 27, 2022, 12:12:32 AM
Additionally, take the example of someone who get scammed by such an exchange who is regulated
There are those who were scammed by Mt. Gox exchange in 2014 and are going to receive their money back probably this year. That is what it's expected accordingly to the last news and accordingly to the CEO Mark Karpeles. However, as bitcoin became too valuable along the years, these investors aren't going to receive the same amount of bitcoins they had back then. It's really not the perfect ending, but at least they are going to receive more money in fiat than they had invested in bitcoin in 2014. After all investors are going to make some profit anyway...

Not putting all your eggs on the same basket, it's fine to use centralized exchanges.
4614  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Crypto Bank on: January 26, 2022, 11:35:42 PM
There are some crypto virtual banks operating borderless already and from times to times more of them are being created, what is pretty good because this way we have a healthy and decentralized competition among services of this same kind, aiming to offer the best possible services to their users. So customers have access to competitive interest rates and promotions when investing their crypto funds. Compared to traditional fiat banks I think it's much better already, as every services you need from a traditional bank you can also find at a crypto one, including credit cards with pretty decent cashback rates, depending your investment size at the platform, accordingly to its internal requirements.
I keep 90% of my money in crypto and when I need fiat I use crypterium card to transfer my crypto to card. Maybe fees are a bit higher then the cards from banks but still all transaction are done instantly and that is one of big good things from crypto in general.
Very nice. I use an app called Alter (formerly AlterBank) which is unfortunatelly exclusive for my country as far as I know. They give a free credit card (although the money is instantly debited from the account) without any kind of fees, plus cashback of 0,5% on every purchases. Users can make deposits in fiat or bitcoin on their accounts and exchange it from one currency to another internally.

So just like you, I follow a similar financial strategy keeping a high percentage of my funds in bitcoin... Every month I exchange the necessary amount of money from btc to fiat for monthly expenses using this app, in order to use the credit card. We are putting high expectations on bitcoin, hum?

I wasn't aware about Crypterium yet. I will take a look on this later, thank you!
4615  Economy / Gambling / Re: This is why I love this forum...and we should make it more powerful on: January 26, 2022, 09:07:59 PM
Well, many casinos promote their services on this forum for a good reason, that is directly linked to the fact bitcointalk forum holds a lot of legitimacy and influence in crypto gambling industry. If a casino goes shady you can be sure it won't be forgotten on this forum and it will be also very clear for every gambler who might start reading some threads around.

In case of doubt, you can even tell your gambler friends who aren't members of this community to always search on google the name of the casino they are looking for and bitcointalk keyword together to find out if that is a good site to play or not.
4616  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 26, 2022, 05:59:34 PM
Usually another users' experiences are going to make me reach to a final conclusion if the casino is worth or not. If the reviews are positive and there aren't legit complaints I would give it a try without any doubts, but if gamblers are facing constant issues while trying to cashout their funds, making deposits due to delays and having their accounts banned because the casino is trying to difficult the payment process, I would definitely stay far away from that site. Inactive, slow customer support is also a big factor that would most probably turn me off from the platform.
4617  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Deep before the Raise on: January 26, 2022, 05:23:21 PM
Bitcoin price previous this similar time was deep but bitcoin price touched $65k+ in 2021.Now bitcoin price little dip and recent price $37k+. Few days ago bitcoin price under $35k+.I hope bitcoin price will be more and more increase this year and i Think crypto market will be green again this year. All coin depends on bitcoin price.

Now Bitcoin is starting to slowly rise again, having previously dropped below $35k. Of course I hope the price of Bitcoin continues to rise,
because I still believe the price of Bitcoin this year will be better than in 2021. Therefore we must not panic and sell our Bitcoins in a situation
like now, sometimes the price of Bitcoin needs to decrease first, to be able to go much higher. That's how Bitcoin works, so no need to worry
if the price of Bitcoin drops deep enough in early 2022, but slowly the price of Bitcoin will rise again and the next price will go up very high in 2022.
So never doubt the future of Bitcoin, take advantage of low prices like now to continue to collect as much Bitcoin as possible.
It's early to say it yet, because the scenario isn't solid at bitcoin's favour. We have seen a nice fluctuation up to 37,475$ today, but the price is already bouncing back to 36,632$ again. To make sure bitcoin is really recovering, this pattern must repeat itself for the next days until a new support level becomes clear enough in a higher price range than the one we currently have.
For now, the market continues looking bearish and to revert this situation fantastic news are needed. Average news like "bitcoin rised 8%", "investment funds buy 14 million dollars in bitcoin" aren't enough to push btc up. Something bigger is needed...

Again, with a huge jump to $37k, one can really wonder how the price like bitcoin rises like this one in a day or 48 hours after when people starts discrediting it again with FUD and other other.

Perhaps it just shows how bitcoin is really very resistant and resilient with this FUD because it was able to rise again. Hopefully though we will touch on $40k again because it's the biggest barrier for now. Nevertheless, we still have a long way to go before we can reach another all time high this year.
I hope you are right, because here we are one day after my previous post, and bitcoin keeps showing positive fluctuations, already hiting 38,300$ right now. If we continue on this trend, one more day or so and we touch the 40,000$ mark mentioned by you. That would be great for now! Although I'm fearful because recent news say IMF (International Monetary Fund) is forcing El Salvador to give up on bitcoin as legal tender. Theoretically El Salvador is a sovereign state, so no foreigner agents, institutions or funds can impose nothing to them. On the other hand, I have read El Salvador wants a loan of 1,3$ billion dollars from IMF, so there could be a serious bargain going on and the main prejudiced may be bitcoin.
4618  Economy / Service Discussion / Why don't popular micro/freelancers sites adopt bitcoin? on: January 25, 2022, 11:17:25 PM
Bitcoin is almost 14 years old, countries have already regulated it or passed laws considering it legal tender, each new day another ATM is settled somewhere in the world, the most influent men in the world confessed they own bitcoin or have interest for it, big companies have been going through the same path.

However, online platforms which offer opportunities for freelancers, which could be the most benefited ones by adopting bitcoin on the practice seems to just ignore it. Sites like OneForma and ClickWorker don't care about improving their payment methods and actually, they are more than one decade late already. They keep forcing users to use Paypal or Payeer, which are terrible depending where you live, as these international payment services are forced to follow local regulations from countries where taxes are heavily imposed over their citizens, especially those who venture working online.

Unfortunatelly there isn't any bitcoin micro tasks site around with the same weight those mentioned sites have on the virtual environment...

In your opinion, why do these popular platforms act like this and completely ignore bitcoin? And why doesn't a platform of the same kind, but using bitcoin, is able to develop itself to compete against the big ones?

at the end of the day, it depends on the priority of the trader what to use in terms of trading platforms.
I agree with you, because centralized exchanges offer extra features that may be interesting for traders and investors, such as staking and investment programs for altcoins and bitcoin, plus debit/credit cards, completely replacing the function of banks in someone's life. The fact they exist as a regulated business also means an extra security layer for customers, as this business can't just scam everyone without consequences for the managers behind the company. Both kinds of exchanges, centralized and decentralized ones, have positive and negative aspects which should be taken in consideration in a case by case basis. Something good for me, might not be good for you, so individual discernment is a must.
