4601  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Current Singapore bitcoin exchange options? on: April 05, 2019, 06:22:07 AM
Coss.io is also an exchange located in Singapore. https://coss.io/ I can't really comment on it since I used it only 2-3 times when it was in its beta phase. After that it asked KYC stuff so I stopped
The only thing is the fees are high for USD/EUR withdraws, 25$ to withdraw 40$ to deposit, EUR 8e to deposit
4602  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: April Fool ended, but there are likely bugs on BPIP site on: April 05, 2019, 06:02:37 AM
Bpip.org is not owned, nor maintained by Bitcointalk. The user "Vod" does. So it is to him that you should report the possible bug, either by sending him a message or by posting in his topic that is found in "Project Development".

4603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin IS a BUBBLE and will BURST! on: April 04, 2019, 09:34:35 PM
4 million dollars per bitcoin means 84 trillion dollars all for bitcoin if I am not calculating it wrong. That is more than almost any countries GDP aside from couple. That would not be possible in this system we are living for sure, maybe in 100 years when just one burger costs a thousand dollars than we can see it happen but in this economic world and prices having bitcoin at 4 million dollars is impossible, hell even 100k is a big big challenge for us right now, more likely is the max cap at 60k because that is a little close to nasdaq and nyse levels which it can reach with the help from the global aspect of it and the community behind it.

I am not looking to see BTC at 4 million, but I will be happy with the $60k I won't complain, trust me. lol
Back to the topic, only the time will tell us if we were right or wrong. BTC could be a bubble that stays longer than the others that we got in history.
4604  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019.03.28] 14% of Major Crypto Exchanges Are Licensed by Regulators on: April 04, 2019, 09:14:24 PM
this report seems more of a joke, they say Binance is a high risk exchange, but they have already stopped to think how many exchanges there are where the owners of these same exchanges are not anonymous? yobit for example, what ranking an exchange like yobit would receive? Binance is doing a good job and should receive an excellent ranking for the good service they are providing

The point is about the regulations and the exchanges, not about comparing which site is best for trading.
Binance will do a good job when it will ask people their ID card, proof of address, etc the first day, and as soon as a new user registers on the platform. And only after a complete verification, in accordance with the best practices, the user can have access and use the platform. As I said a few days ago, Exchanges are generally lenients with the KYC/AML policies, even some popular sites.
4605  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Samurai wallet on: April 04, 2019, 06:43:23 PM
snip-
There are no problems with Samurai's wallet so use it.
I never use Samurai's wallet but I have heard that this samurai wallet can transact offline transaction through SMS getting a code on your mobile number, isn't it?
But this thing for me for sure Samurai's wallet has been forcing remove to google play store.

Why did you want to say with the Google play store? Samourai has been removed from it?
This is correct. Samourai wallet uses TxTenna to broadcast transactions to the bitcoin network. You can even wipe or recover your wallet by SMS with the remote SMS command.

4606  Economy / Economics / Re: Future of Bitcoins - What will happens to BTC on: April 04, 2019, 06:26:38 PM
What will happen to Bitcoin is the price that will be higher in the future. Currently, Bitcoin has increased and has again broken the price of $ 5033 in Coinmarketcap. That shows the rise of bitcoin after a prolonged bear market.

The future of Bitcoin doesn't depend on its price but on its adoption. It could be 1$ but used by a million people online and offline as well.
But it can be $500,000 but used by only 6 people: 3 traders, 1 whale, and 2 merchants. So, even for $500k, it will be a useless coin that nobody uses.
4607  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger backup plan on: April 04, 2019, 05:50:26 PM
There are a lot of people with 2 Ledger devices, or even more. Such discount is good if you're someone like these people, or want to get the second for a gift. You can give one to your wife and you tell her "it's for you babe so you can buy me some bitcoins from time to time"  Cheesy

I do not think a 50% discount of Ledger Nano S would be a big boost to buying
Ledger often has special offers (black Fridays, Christmas, ...) , Several discounts type over the year is better than the same discount 365 days per year
4608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the God of crypto........ on: April 04, 2019, 05:38:01 PM
Bitcoin is like what Debian is to the GNU/Linux ecosystem.

Debian is the father of 80% of the Linux OS, all others are forks. Ubuntu is a fork of Debian, Lubuntu is a fork of Ubuntu, and so on.
While Debian is not the most used Linux OS, it's one of the most stable and solid OS. All alternatives OS coexist together and the open source community and its users are fine with this.

It should be the same with Bitcoin and the alternate coins. We may have different needs that make us prefer one coin over another. Americans may prefer Ripple, Asians may prefer ETH, you may prefer Doge for its cheap Tx fees, etc, but you have to admit Bitcoin is the king  Grin
4609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has done it again on: April 04, 2019, 05:16:11 PM
The price corrected a little today if the correction continues we may go down to the $4,800 but I hope no less than $4,500. It's likely to continue its ascent above $5,200 the 24h volume doubled for 2 days. Bitcoin has proven several times that it can be surprising, it also applies during the bad periods, we shouldn't get excited too fast either.
4610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to minimise the trading fee? on: April 04, 2019, 04:44:55 PM
Any recommendations?
Currently in Australia, I would like to seek for an exchange platform with lowest trading fee but also with regulation.
Don't shoot the unregulated exchange to me, I hope my currency to be safe.

In every exchange platform they had their own level percentage in terms of transaction charge. Just like for example in bitrabbit they have 0.0005BTC fee of charge, while in kucoin was 0.001BTC and for IDAX same with kucoin something like that. So I doubt that coss is a good token to be hold in a long term.

You didn't understand the original post or didn't bother to read it. We're talking about the trading fees and not the transaction fees.
Back to the topic, I think Coinbase Pro is the cheapest option around and it's a regulated exchange like the OP is looking for. I'm using Kraken, it has a 0.16%/0.26% fee structure
4611  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Troll sent tx's with message "Child Porn" during 2012-2014 (check ur addresses) on: April 04, 2019, 04:20:22 PM
All the bitcoins will have been linked to an illegal activity sooner or later. Just like most banknotes contain cocaine. Chain analyses are smart enough to not consider an address tied to a criminal just because it received a Tx with a message. If the authorities accuse you of something, it is up to them to provide concrete and irrefutable evidence, not you to prove you're innocent.
4612  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-03] Bitcoin's Recent Renaissance Could Be Linked to Algorithmic Trading on: April 04, 2019, 04:03:30 PM
How do they know for sure that it was a single buyer? For example the top comment on reddit regarding this news is this:

You are assuming that reporting was correct. Did anyone came out with proof that they did a 100M buy? No? Ok then, it's just speculation. What was more obvious were the short positions. They got wiped out in liquidations and short squeeze.

And as others point out, if only one person was behind this huge buy, it would be wiser to spread it over a longer period of time, like a week or more, to avoid buying at higher prices.

There is no irrefutable evidence (at least in the article I mentioned) but rather evidence. The probability that 3 people will buy the same amount of bitcoins at the same time is the same as winning the national lottery.
Once the order is filled and the coins bought you don't care a higher price because you already bought the coins.
4613  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-03] Bitcoin's Recent Renaissance Could Be Linked to Algorithmic Trading on: April 03, 2019, 09:43:39 PM
There have been several theories about this sudden rise. I read about algorithmic trading, April fool's joke, an order worth about $100 million across 3 exchanges https://www.reuters.com/article/us-crypto-currencies/bitcoin-soars-20-percent-mystery-buyer-seen-as-catalyst-idUSKCN1RE0JY but no one can really explain it. If it's because Bitcoin is undervalued the rise wouldn't have come so suddenly, it would have taken several days or weeks. Unless we're entering in a period of big spikes like in 2017.

4614  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: FOMO seizure - the cracks are already starting to show... on: April 03, 2019, 08:55:28 PM
Look like the problem comes directly from one of their partners. which makes the problem even more complicated
because you can't do anything, other than to wait for the partner to fix the problem, either because your infrastructure is too large or something else.
Which can also mean you just have to start looking for a new partner. And it often ends  like this when you need to be pro active.
4615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull market is back? on: April 03, 2019, 08:01:04 PM
Guys, even Bitcoin cash is performing at +55% today on CCM  Cheesy It's like Christmas for BCH trolls I guess.
By the way, anyone noticed how the 24h change becomes higher. We were at about 5%-10% and now on average at 20%. If this continues the price could hit the $6,000 during the next week. Cool

4617  Economy / Speculation / Re: A positive month for traders on: April 03, 2019, 04:54:06 PM
Only 2 days, I would prefer to wait more days to confirm the trend. Maybe by Friday, the value will decrease as if nothing happened. Hopefully, it invigorates the market and stimulates investors, old and news.
Still, nobody knows what happened
4618  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion for the Admin (Admin please read) on: April 03, 2019, 03:38:35 PM
I don't find advertisements on Bitcointalk too intrusive. But if you're bothered with it you can disable avatars and signatures in your profile settings in "Look and Layout Preferences". Not sure if it's a feature that depends on the user's rank, I noticed it long ago, take a look at it.

4620  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC might do something nice soon. TA only ( No crystal Ball/s) on: April 03, 2019, 01:18:20 PM
...

Possibly, unless this rumor is true. Reuters: Bitcoin jumps 20 percent, mystery order seen as catalyst. In such case, the BTC could drop to what it was 2-3 days ago. But the last time such an event occurred was in 2015, just before the Bitcoin began its nice rise.  Maybe Bitcoin could reproduce the same thing.
