4601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PAC (Pacquiao) Token Starts Trading from Nov 12. Will You Buy It? If Yes, Why? on: November 25, 2019, 02:27:03 PM
This seems to be the worst time to launch an ICO even if it involves a market maker to pump the coin upon exchange listing. Bitcoin is crashing hard, people are already panicking to sell their Bitcoin, what more this token.

The didn't expect that I am sure, unfortunately they are facing bear market when they are doing a planned token sale. But, with the hype brought by a star, they should not worry about that.

My opinion about this toke is good enough to make money (short-time investment). I don't see the token is useful enough, but more likely a hype so buying the token could be an opportunity to make good profit in a short-time and leave it after you took profit.

Actually his point is valid since even though how good the project brought by Pacquiao is it can still defy by the current situation of the market since the mindset of people now is dumping and for sure majority already secured there losses and some of them are panicking and want to sell at this rate that's why it's really not a good timing to conduct a ICO since the rate of getting the success these days is so low.
4602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How exchanges treat the stolen Money? on: November 25, 2019, 12:28:15 PM
I am curious to know, how Exchanges treat the stolen money or hack money? Are they really aware of it? Just think, your fund has been hacked and transferred from your wallet to another wallet and then it's deposited to an exchange. If you claim to the exchange about the money, Are they not responsible for taking necessary action? What do you think?
if you have some evidence maybe the exchange will freeze the user account
usually exchange just freeze the account of the suspect to stop them from using their platform
but I'm not sure if they will give back the funds to the owner

For many years of staying on crypto space I don't see any exchange who freeze the account of possible attacker repays the affected users and I don't actually know what will happen since it's still a mystery on where does the money goes if certain case will happen. But actually know the hackers got fast hands and they will be detected late and already withdraw huge amount and provably if they are left maybe a little percentage only which cannot cater all the user who's funds are stolen.
4603  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: November 25, 2019, 11:50:07 AM
The dark side of crypto's that people tend not to talk about. Fraud is easy and it happens a lot. You deal with fiat currencies and there's the ability to trace transactions and follow the paper trail. With Bitcoin, you're not left with much if your money gets stolen. The more adoption Bitcoin gets by naive investors or traders, the more scams that are going to happen.

I wouldn't say that it's a dark side of crypto, I mean crypto enthusiast knows that once their assets gets stolen here, it's bye-bye for their money. That's why we should really educate first ourselves when we wanted to enter this world because unlike fiat, money trails are hidden and obscure because there are so many ways to hide the scammers track.

How could you say it's not a dark side while there's a money involve for frauds and stolen asset by certain badass out there and we really need to educate ourselves for something new since the kind of style is evolving and there are so many things that we need to be careful with.

And also there are hardware wallets that is safe for us to use so that the chances for getting attack is to low and maybe it's good for use to always use escrow when dealing someone especially if we use crypto.
4604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you holding Bitcoin? on: November 25, 2019, 11:10:10 AM
Yes, I'm keep hold bitcoin even red market still continue bitcoin still become my priority. Actually I have dream that bitcoin will dump again because $7k is my buy back point but if not just take it. Many countries already accept bitc and that's good news, even still can't replacement gold/ stock, hold bitcoin is better.
If you have that mindset and you are willing to wait and gamble with the possibilities the chance is really high for bitcoin to bounce. Waiting is your only option if you don't want to lose your money or if you are really aiming for much bigger profits. Next halving will be the game changer the current trend
right now still on its bearish no one knows if how long it will extend before investors start to buy and hold again.

In my opinion it's lazy act to hold for much longer and gamble to wait for a big bounce coming on upcoming months since if you could see the market flows right now for sure you will get panic if you see your money is melting down and wise traders are happy with this current market situations since they are able to buy cheap bitcoins and earn whenever the pump comes and I'm sure they are the one who's earning more rather than those people who settle to hold and baghold for long timespan.
4605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to systematically learn to trade crypto from being a newbie? on: November 25, 2019, 10:38:08 AM
In my existence here in this world the best way for me to learn anything i have completely no idea about is through using the internet, videos to be exact because yes books can also be very useful but let us face the fact that a lot of us wants to watch rather than to read and after you have learned the fundamentals of trading you can do paper trade or trading simulator so that you can get familiarize of the market and your techniques and then after that you'll get enough experience to enter real trading.
To be exact, not only videos will able to help you on what we should learn first about trading. Inforgraphics is another way on making it easier for us to learn to trade. It is also important to know terminologies and know exactly what it means. I'm sure you know about infographics and how it helps many users understand easily even if it's not a video that you can play.
Agree with both. What do yout think, are there more people which would like to earn cryptp through reading lessons or watching videos online?

Actually right we cannot rely only on videos but if this is the only resources can avail with since he don't have money to stay on trading class then maybe this is a good option there are video trainings has been posted on youtube and certain techniques and other fundamentals can be trade with and also there are site who offer a test money to trade on and by there you can try your skills acquired if it's working for you or not.
4606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the right time to buy altcoin? on: November 24, 2019, 01:41:42 PM
rather than buying altcoin, I would rather collect bitcoin than the altcoin. although this is a good time to collect bitcoin or altcoin, if I have the opportunity, I will focus on collecting bitcoin. bitcoin will halving in 2020 to come. the effect that will result from halving is that the price of bitcoin will go up high. I'm pretty sure that the increase in price will trigger an increase in the price of altcoin, but I'm pretty sure the increase in the price of bitcoin will be higher. In fact, there is a possibility of a dominant increase in bitcoin occurring in 2020.
Of course, many people will choose to invest in Bitcoin more because this is the coin that is always selected by people and occupies half of your assets. In fact, the high volatility of Bitcoin has created a lot of opportunities for new investors because the value of this coin is currently very cheap and you will definitely make a big profit if you invest now. This is just my opinion and you should make your final decision because this is a financial market so it will be very difficult to survive this time.

Your opinion is good but I will wait for more.dip to come since it's good to buy more cheaper to earn huge on upcoming season but seriously I'm thinking to buy now since the market condition looks like become stagnant.

And in this industry we can apply the word survival of the fittest because the weak hearted will lose and will not survive if they sell earlier or in dump.
4607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listed exchange matters on: November 24, 2019, 12:51:50 PM
For every bounty hunters who are tired of new bounty projects that ends up been a total garbage after they are listed on exchange pls do find yourself some time and do research on past bounty projects because the Exchange they used for IEO matters alot, that exchange is where they will list after bounty ends, i haven't seen a bounty project that get listed on Kucoin and Gate that is not profitable, in terms of good volume or even 2x+

I have learnt a lesson here again, have you? top exchange matters especially in this bear market, look at all the bounties listed on p2pb2b, exmarket etc  Cheesy
Bounty hunting is not enjoyment for the hunters because of the recent bear market and the low prices. The bounty all locations decreased since 2018, the low rewards don't motivate the average bounty hunters to continue their job. Even big exchanges can't heal the dead volume in case of the project is able to access the rights for listing there.
maybe they give up with current condition. with low value in bounty reward its better to work on offline job .and we back to make it as side job only.  if we continue make bounty campaign as main job , we have no certainity with our monthly income . meanwhile we have many needs to fullfilled. big exchanges didnt guarantee project will success when listing on there. it depend on investors trust to developtment progress and product.

It doesn't guarantee anything if the company will just rely on it and they must support by creating a critical advertisements and other form of marketing so that they will earn more supporters, listing on big exchange will just create a hype and it will gone once it is landed there for so many days.

And also it's unfortunate for now to rely on bounty camps since we cannot earn even single cents and it's truly better to have this as side job to not get broke.
4608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to take advantage BTC Pump and Dump in short period? on: November 24, 2019, 11:58:36 AM
How to take advantage BTC Pump and Dump in short period?
We should not do so because it is a risky action for ordinary speculators. we should only deal with the trend. but a trend reversal will have a low probability of accuracy and we will be more likely to lose. I have tried many times to catch the top or bottom of the BTCUSD pair to execute Short or Long orders, but I have many times failed even though the indicator is very clear. so don't try to be greedy, it just makes us lose more.

You only rely on the trend? what happen if there's no trend for that day? Meaning you will not earn right? So better know how to work with it so that we can earn on the fundamentals if we want to spot the correct dump and pump scheme with bitcoins although the market is unpredictable but still we can earn with it and gain a huge chances since we know how to do a counter action when sudden changes appears.
4609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long do you hold on a trade. on: November 24, 2019, 11:35:50 AM
trading has been a difficult process for novices and minor traders. it could be tempting most times if you dont understand the market movement and TA. you might loose patience and cancel out a trade you might regret later. i have cancel out many trades that later ended up in huge profits. i have also cancel some successfully. i just curious to know if there is any sure way to this trading were by you hold on a trade.

It's very long process if you are a newbie and if you do a short cut chances to lose is huge so better understand the situation, fundamentals and other things in tradings there are youtube videos, blogs and etc to help you out and learn from it. But in my case I'm actually not into long term holding since I actually suffer from huge loss when markets falls down that's why my current strategy right now is spot the lowest and sell for certain percentage to earn daily.

Don't aim for x2 or more since it's impossible for now and always get the profit whenever you are on winning trade.
4610  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for investment service on: November 24, 2019, 10:20:03 AM
I truly wonder how people think that there is a legit person here can grow there money while in reality if they can truly make it then for sure they will not share it and do it on their own and those who offered this kind of service is for sure a scammer so better for newbies to think even more deeper and stop playing fool since for sure they will be victimized by ponzi's and other form of scamming that's why it's better to invest a time to learn a new things and earn with it, There's a trading that can make people earn but proper precaution since it needs skills and patience but it's far more better than any other options.
4611  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Crypto Marketet Is Dumping Drastically !! on: November 22, 2019, 01:25:15 PM

Yeah,,, nothing means anything in Bitcoin. Nothing also will result in an expected outcome, and there is not always a reason for something drastic to happen. This is simply the way Bitcoin is. It can and will go up and down in 10% in a day if not more. That is simply the case we have to accept for it, and there is no point in finding out why it happened. IT just is.
In my opinion, if we position ourselves as a trader then we must find out what causes it. Because the information is important for us to use as a reference in selling / buying orders. And also as a reference for the future.Surely it will be repeated again as you said this is something that did happen in the crypt market. So it should be utilized for our benefit

Do anyone know what is the cause of the dump? provably no right? since there is a single guy would  know that for sure he must be rich right now but the reality is trading is unpredictable and we actually don't expect this to come since the one foresee by many people is we will experience the pump until the end of this month but looks like we experience a continuous dump right now.
4612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency market continues to blood shed on: November 22, 2019, 12:38:33 PM
Boy, seeing BTC fall more than 10% isn't new but certainly doesn't look or feel nice. People I think got tired of waiting for a new bull run and now we're going to see some real correction from the all time highs if a bear market starts. I think resistance is weak at this point.

Correct it's not new since we can see some ups and downs for it but actually it's kinda upsetting to see the continuously dump happening in the market right now and provably we can see more doubters since they didn't want to lose more profit if this dump continue and let's hope for betterment and see a good growth on December since some good insights is coming for that month or maybe in next year.
4613  Other / Off-topic / Re: "cryptor" or "cryptoer" or something else? on: November 22, 2019, 12:09:14 PM
Is there a widely accepted "single word" for referring to a cryptocurrency enthusiast?

I have seen some people using "cryptor" or "cryptoer". But the two words don't seem to be very popular.

Have you seen any other such word?

There's no proper call  for crypto enthusiast maybe it depends on what you prefer since there are so many words has been used recently but no actual keywords has been trend that's why we should forget that calling things and let's focus on real business since no matter what the result is all of us will be united as crypto users.

@coupable,

Thanks. I have seen the use of "bitcoiner", too. That one is fine for referring to bitcoin enthusiast. The drawback is that it is restricted to only bitcoin.

I'm looking for thoese concepts because what I'm doing is related to creating brand names. For example, if "cryptor" were fine in this case, then it could be used to create a brand name of a cryptocurrency coaching platform such as "Cryptors Academy".

If you only focus on bitcoins  maybe a "Bitcoiner" word will suit you Cheesy.
4614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM is only potentially $ 250 in November. on: November 19, 2019, 05:23:07 AM
if talking about Ethereum prices have not skyrocketed again it might still be part of the process, and we need to wait and see 2020 later.  I believe the breakthrough of ETH 2.0 is one important factor to be able to drive the price of ETH to the moon.
Even if the ETH 2.0 is released what is so special to think that the price will rise to the moon, i am not expecting any rapid changes in the ETH price nor i am not expecting it to moon ever again, it had is wonderful rallying times in the past and those who were able to make the money and got out then it is fun, if not the price of ETH determines on the price of bitcoin.

For 2.0 released I really though that there's a great changes will happen but turns out nothing but let's still not lose our hopes since there are more coming see it here https://blog.sfox.com/ethereum-2-0-what-the-next-three-years-of-ethereum-will-look-like-b366a46f9704.

But I think you provably means the year 2017 and I think the price drive for ETH at that time is due to the  bitcoin halving and it is only drag the same with the other alts.
4615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I think all crypto is scam on: November 19, 2019, 04:39:50 AM
First there is an announcement, then there is 3 year Roadmap,
extended each year with meaningless additions, fake recruiting of
employees, trade interrupts, software announcements, wallet updates, changes
quizes, games, givaways, airdrops, forks, ICOs etc, etc, etc.

I've seen several coins with great tech which is perfectly quick and secure, anonymous (or not) and safe.
They all have mobile wallets and wallets for every OS.
Despite this fact they cannot be adopted. Nobody wants to use them, there is no real need for them.
A team of good programmers could develop a blockchain which can replace banks and paper money
in a month. Another month for testing and another month for setting up nodes across the globe.
The main point behind all this is: who controlls these programmers?

Voilla. it is that easy. That is why I think all these announcements and Roadmaps are bullshit.

Those you have encounter these day are totally bullshit and no one of new coins/tokens became reliable since they are just been created to scam and maybe if you want to do a safe investment try to go to the top coins and don't look with those what you are listed since for sure they will rekt your expectation.

But also you shouldn't generalize all since there are crypto who still do a good performance it's just you go on the wrong way that's why you are confused on things about it.
4616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So traders, how much You lose? on: November 19, 2019, 04:08:35 AM
That big loss has certainly happened, if counted by fingers I don't know and  I'll not remember it.. but at least the losses we experience become lessons and experiences. for that sometimes I choose a little cut loss rather than a big loss or maybe by holding it. But it depends on what coins will be held. because we must be careful in choosing coins for the long term. If you only follow FOMO, it will be difficult to recover with a small volume.
Yes, you are right. I am sure all traders must have experienced the name of the loss, both large losses or small losses. because sometimes the price movements that cannot be predicted. and often I hear beginners incur losses due to FOMO because maybe he is dependent on others and does not learn the right way to trade.

There's no happy days always in tradings even you are an experience trader since for sure there is always a FOMO or major upset that can make us lose and newbies should think about that in tradings we cannot always earn  since there are so many obstacles that needed to consider and they should always learn how to counter if they want to have a great advantage when they want to trade.
4617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of ponzi schemes bearing names relating to bitcoin on social media on: November 19, 2019, 02:55:11 AM
yes I was once offered like that but in the telegram, most people affected by fraud are people who are unfamiliar with the world of investment and crypto, for that we have to educate our friends or close relatives so that it is not easy to be trusted with such bulging investments.

There are so many educational videos on how to avoid and spot scam but sadly newbie people or even old player here still fall for the same scheme since  they are lazy to find a innovative ways for them to earn and always look for the worse and just let their self be haunted by the person who want to get a referral share when they join on the scam platform.

That is a good warning.

Yeah it's good thing to have those warning  since it can be a good indicator for newbies to read and hopefully they will apply it for thereselves to avoid those upcoming scams.
4618  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin STILL Good Investment? (Think Again) on: November 19, 2019, 01:11:03 AM
This video makes the case why Bitcoin is in my opinion not only a good investment but the best investment you can make.

Any additional insights in how to best relate this to those who do not yet own any Bitcoin is appreciated.

It is important we help as many people as possible find safety in this financial climate and $244 trillion global debt crisis.

Thank you

https://youtu.be/ubL2RDg37Wk

Bitcoin is totally  a good investment option for people who seek financial freedom since there's no one can control you for holding those and no government will put you a limitation on where you going thru but there's something we need to look for before going in this and we should be well educated before putting our money since there are several volatility strikes will test us our patience since if we will lose or get short tempered most provably we will lose.
4619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters do not need to wait for altcoin season on: November 18, 2019, 02:29:01 PM
I am fully convinced that there are still worthy projects. So I continue to participate in the bounty. I can't say that on the bounty you can make good money now, but a little extra income is possible here. In addition, there are coins with the prospect of growth, which is worth holding for some time.
If the case is about the bounty campaigns, the deceived bounty hunters look for the alternative options in order to take their deserved profits from the hard work. Altcoin season will bring a good things to the crypto market and surely bounty hunters will be able to sell their bounty rewards for higher profitable trades. From the growth perspective, the altcoins will have one more chance to hit the ATH IMO.

The only option for bounty hunters is to join on another campaign since if the other one is failed then it must be a time to move on. But if they pay still no guarantee since they cannot be listed on big exchange and most provably this is the one who killed the value but hopefully we can see another ATH since it's been a long time that we are setting on ridiculous bad market for long time.
4620  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Dangerous disadvantage of web wallet. on: November 18, 2019, 01:22:43 PM
I don't really get why people don't bother to simply download electrum - the processes involved are just as easy as a web wallet, sometimes even easier given the fact that a lot of web wallets hide certain functionalities in obscure places (cough cough, blockchain.com).

Even worse are hosted wallets, where you don't have custody over your own private keys.

It essentially defies the entire point of cryptos to begin with. Absurd.

This thread is not about how difficult it is to install desktop wallet, but more about the risks associated with using web wallets.
Unfortunately, but to buy, sell or exchange cryptocurrencies the most convenient form is online exchange, so if we have to use them, it's good to know the threats and I think that OP mainly for that created this thread.

If you are a holder you are at risk of any attacks if you used a web wallet that's why it's advisable to use the hardware wallet so that we can assure the security of our funds but if we are a short time holder and trade what we receive then for me it's ok to use the web wallet since that is more convenient and the thing we need to do is to set up a strong password and always activate the 2fa.
