4601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: May 28, 2022, 11:23:57 AM
Yes, saw this thread a couple of days ago and it's good that we have a thread already,  Smiley

Line is open already,

Alvarez - 1.21
Golovkin - 3.90

So obviously Canelo again will be the favorite, but I think this fight is going to be close again and could end up in the score card. And maybe Canelo might win by a narrow margin, around 115-113 for him.
4602  Local / Pilipinas / Report: PH ranks 2nd in ‘ownership of cryptocurrency’ on: May 26, 2022, 11:43:01 PM
Nabasa ko lang to

Quote
Well, if you’re based in the Philippines, that probability is almost certain: You own Bitcoin or some form of cryptocurrency.

According to a Q4 2021 broad global survey by GWI—an audience targeting company known for its market research data—the Philippines ranks second when it comes to “ownership of cryptocurrency.”

The Southeast Asian country reported 22.7 percent crypto owners among internet users aged 16 to 64. Only Turkey is ahead of the Philippines, registering 23.8 percent crypto users.

https://www.sunstar.com.ph/article/1929944/cebu/lifestyle/report-ph-ranks-2nd-in-ownership-of-cryptocurrency

4603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 26, 2022, 10:47:43 PM
No bets yet guys?
Okay, I'll start it. This may end the Western Conference Finals and the Warriors may celebrate tonight on their homecourt. Balloons and confetti may also be ready to drop from the roof.
I am with the Warriors to end this -7.5. I just wish they could cover that amount of spread.
Also taking the bet for Over 213.5. Good luck to everyone.

I will be conservative and go with the initial line of -6.5. And then maybe some live betting, will have to look at how the Warriors are going to start the 1st half. They seems to start very slow though and then go on a rampage in the 3rd quarter. But this one could be different, as they could start hot with their shooting and then putting a clinic to cover our spread.
4604  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 26, 2022, 10:03:07 PM

4605  Economy / Speculation / Re: First In Bitcoin History (or did it ever happen?) on: May 24, 2022, 05:43:44 AM
Yes, this is the first time that it happened, so it's a scary thought specially for those who just joined crypto in 2022 because it's seems that it's going to be a long an hard grind and we are indeed in crypto market.

Nevertheless, as per experienced, this might is good to see though, I mean for sure we can endured this kind of downward trend, or as others do, take advantage of the price ~$30k and buy. And it's better not to expect some big bounce this year or even in 2023, so that you will not have be frustrated or disappointed.
4606  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: May 24, 2022, 05:18:31 AM

4607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Mavericks) on: May 23, 2022, 11:25:16 AM
It's because the Suns was not able to adjust to the game of Luka, giving him too much confidence, look at his swag on that series, taunting Booker and anyone that guards him. But in the Warriors series, Wiggins take it hard against Luka every time, and that dunk? he posterized Luka there and for sure it will be the talk on the Warriors dug out. And Wiggins showing that he was an all star player caliber, rising his game on the playoffs. Don't be surprised if this is going to be a sweep (no offense to Mavs fans).
4608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $1.6 billion dollars turned to $2,200 - The Luna effect on Binance Assets on: May 23, 2022, 10:19:58 AM
I think he is absolutely calm because he will earn a lot more over time.In a business where there is such a lot of money, it is simply not possible without mistakes, a lot of people have lost their money and it will be a very expensive lesson for many that there is no stability and reliability in cryptocurrency.

Of course he will, maybe he just want to magnify and let everyone know that he lost too. But for sure, he has a lot of investments that he is not telling us and he still worth billions.

And maybe he will also telling us subliminally that crypto investment is really a big risk, it's either you know how to mitigate the risk or you have plan B, (invest what you can afford to lose).
4609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 23, 2022, 09:23:02 AM
Too much-wasted possessions from Mavericks and hesitations got them good this time + I haven't seen anything like when you cross over you are the one who fell. Damn! Brunson was having the rubbish play of his life due to his dribbling skill tonight and you also have Reggie Bullock who was supposed to be one of the scorers in this series but he is shooting 0% and scored nothing in this game. They are destined to lose this game and it might be a sweep against them in their next game plus the posterize against Luka by Wiggins was the time they realized that they are against a championship team.

https://www.facebook.com/the.buzz.nba/posts/5287363208037746

You can watch it here.

That successful contest really gives Wiggins more confidence that the whole team is on his back.

Posterizing Luka send a message that Warriors are not like Phoenix. They are here for business and they have that capability to
sweep their opponent.

They already did that if I remember it right way back against Blazers, not sure though if that's a conference finals or a semi
Finals from the west side. Great win for the Dub fans!

That's what I have been saying, the Warriors can't be compare to the Suns.

And for that reason, maybe some of us here thinks that the Mavs can steal this game at their homecourt. But Warriors are not going to allow it, they will allow Luka to have the ball and score, but the Warriors are going to stop their bench from scoring. And then Curry will take over, he not only shoot the ball from a distance, he is also now a threat as he keeps on going inside to get fouled or easy two.
4610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eastern Conference Finals (Heat vs Celtics) on: May 23, 2022, 08:30:15 AM
This is only possible with a healthy Jimmy Butler on the roster of Heat. There's a news that he is questionable to play in game 4 while Celtics will not repeat their mistakes in game 3 and obviously adjust there strategy to match up Adebayo aggression. They have Theis to stop him by force if Butler will not return in the rest of the game. Jimmy Butler has a lot of injury reports on this season and this might be bad news to Heat if he will not come back healthy to stop Boston counterattack against them. We already witness how they manage to come back against strong opponents when they Beat Bucks in game 7 match.

Heat without Butler is very easy to beat by Boston with a complete package of attack and defence roster.
Regarding health, so are Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart. They are in probable status and the decision will be before game time if they will play or not.
Remember that twisted ankle by both players? I think Smart's case is the worst but he got back into the game although it's obvious he is still in pain.
This series may become unpredictable if both teams' starters will be out.
Butler is a big piece for a win but the bench managed to finish it in 2nd half of Game 3. I think Miami Heat will possibly win this if ever the injury cases get worst.

Yes, if Smart and Tatum can't play then all advantage will go to Heat. Even if Butler can't play there are a lot of players that can step up, we've seen Bam and Lowry do that in game 3. So I might favor the Heat if that will be the scenario at game time (no Smart and Tatum). And if the Heat win, it's going to be 3-1 and most likely they will win the series against Boston.

Tatum is probable in game 4 according to report.
https://thespun.com/more/top-stories/celtics-announce-jayson-tatums-status-for-game-4

Celtics need him, he is the star player of the team along with Jaylen Brown, so he should be available.
They cannot miss this game, otherwise, we can conclude that the series is over. Also, Butler is going to play, but we don't  know if he gets the maximum minutes he used to enjoy.

This is a must win for game, Tatum is their star player so it will be difficult to play without him in the court. If the 3 of them can play then it's all up to who has the heart and wanted to win more.

I wouldn't be surprised though if Miami will get this win, they have the momentum going into game 3 and Bam will have or at least continue to dominate inside. Key for Celtics is their defense, might be a low scoring game.

Anyone ride on the Warriors this game?

It seems that majority is on the Mavs to steal game 3, but Warriors are too good. As Curry says after their game 2 win, they have to carry this momentum in Dallas and that's what they did. Had a good first quarter and then Dallas come back in the 2nd. And we all know that Warriors is good at the 3rd quarter and that's what they did outscoring the Mavs by 9 points and that was enough for them to protect it in the 4th.
4613  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sideways huh! on: May 23, 2022, 06:47:00 AM
If the same trend we've got as last year, we will see a pump after this correction which we all usually know comes after these drops.
It's true that these side ways will cause one to doubt whether it's a good time to buy or sell but make sure that before you take any action, you know what you're doing and the decision you'll make. I like it more when bitcoin is like this, the slow-mo it got for its price.

In my opinion, currently selling is not the right thing because it will only make us lose.
Try to be a little patient and try to buy back bitcoin at the lowest price like now then the profit will be ours later.
But it all comes back to each of us because not everyone is able to survive.

Yeah, not a good idea, but if we are going to look at the price today, it went ahead, up on the $30k barrier again. So this could be the break out run that we have been waiting for although this is not a validation yet as it is too early to conclude. Let's see at the start of the week, if this is going to be a good one for us, or the pattern will just continue as sideways again.
4614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 22, 2022, 09:10:02 PM
I was waiting for Warriors and Heat both to start to their series by 2-0 but it didn't happen for Heat. However Heat had their third game against Celtics away last night. And to be honest I wasn't expecting Heat to win this one after seeing Celtics' very solid performance in their second game. But they surprised me and won by 109-103. There was a huge competition between Jaylen Brown and Bam Adebayo in this game. Brown scored 40 points and Adebayo answered by 31 points. Now Heat are leading by 2-1 and the series is getting more interesting.
It's just that Celtics sometimes clicks better than any team left. They have this chemistry and system that works perfectly and of course Heat knows about this and disrupts them which causes Celtics to lose and I agree that Heat will win the series. However, when Heat fails, and Celtics plays that good smooth basketball, not many teams could stop them.

Celtics has improved a lot this season, specially after the all star break and did trade some players too and now they are in a better chemistry. They beat the favorite, Nets in the first round and then upset the defending champion, Milwaukee Bucks. But they are facing another championship caliber team in Heat, a more complete team so it is going to be an uphill climb for them.
4615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 31st South East Asian Games on: May 22, 2022, 08:19:29 PM
What a historical play for the Indonesian basketball team when they beat the Philippines team earlier, it's the first time since I was born to see them win a gold medal in the Sea Games. They took it personally and managed to outscore the Philippines basketball team throughout the game. The Philippines wasted so many shots to take the lead but what can they do when they aren't against the other teams that they beat earlier which wasn't that easy to score especially since the defense was intense and so much pressure.

No offense to our Gilas, but those crucial missed might change the outcome of the game. It was the very first time since 1989 that PH losses there

gold medal in men's basketball category, we are being treated as the dream team of the southeast Asian game, that 2 weeks' preparation ain't

enough to established the solid squad to represent our country. Maybe this embarrassment can turn to a good motivation for the upcoming

world cup, will any possibilities that change with coaching staff and players will take place?

Well this is the cost of unseating head coach Baldwin.

It was a defeat that one have seen for the last 30 years. But with this lost, PH will have a lot things to do because it will cohost the next FIBA 2023 world cup with Indonesian themselves and Japan. So they better prepare to send the best team here if they wanted to get their position in the region.

David Benavidez vs David Lemieux result:

Benavidez destroys Lemieux in 3 rounds, this dude has serious power at 168. Not sure if Canelo is willing to give him a try but Benavidez is calling out the rest of the 168 lbs including Charlo and Caleb Plant.
4618  Economy / Speculation / Re: Between $24K and $27K on: May 22, 2022, 06:40:37 PM
Three things stuck in my mind this week:

1. It might take a few more months before BTC's price finally exits the bear market. That is if we have a similar situation to the 2018 bear market where fear and greed levels plateaued for a whole year.

2. BTC's price free-fall will slow down between $24K and $27K unless more macroeconomic and geopolitical risks emerge.

3. Short-term holders are responsible for most of the capitulation (day trading and scalping don't fall in this category, right?).

But one thing has a high certainty---the bear market is temporary.

The bull is not a matter of if but when.
some analysis and predictions, for this year the worst crypto in history, the risks are incalculable, but long term investment one positive thing, I think Bitcoin will experience problems at the 24k level.

I don't think it's only this year that bitcoin has experienced such a bad thing as it is today.
Let's imagine again what happened in 2017 which thought bitcoin was over, but in 2021 yesterday we saw bitcoin going up to the moon again, so no one was able to predict the current bitcoin market situation because everything happened suddenly.
If indeed the $24k level is considered the worst level then we consider it the last level for bitcoin to take the sport to bounce back.

You mean to say 2018? Because at the end of 2017 we have a massive bull run, setting ATH at almost $20k.

But this year, there is no mooning obviously, we are in a bear market, so there i a risk that the price will still go down and it's going to be what others call crypto winter. I suggest that everyone should prepare for the worst just in case the price goes to it's previous ATH of $20k. And that is a massive downturn, but we have to accept the possibility.
4619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 22, 2022, 12:47:26 PM
I think you've got to be betting Boston here.  While Miami is going to try and bounce back, there are just too many things on Boston's side at the moment.  I'd be a little worried to have money riding on the Heat after the way they looked on the last game.  I think with the defensive player of the year back, Miami is having a hard time getting the ball in the hole.  I'm expecting Boston to take all their home games in the series so long as they can keep their main guys healthy and Taytum keeps scoring like an elite player.
Thinking about going against the flow. I believe Jimmy Butler loves fighting back when being cornered. It's not an ideal bet but I guess it's my instincts telling me to go bet for them. Going for Heat ML.
They will play harder than Game 2, that's for sure. The defense will be better and I think Coach Spo does have a card up in his sleeve to provide a higher winning chance. Risky Moneyline but it will be worth it if they claim the win.
Over 206.5 seems to be an easy score to reach.

Edit: Look out!
https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/heats-kyle-lowry-on-track-to-play-saturday/
Kyle Lowry might play. I also saw his name in player props.

Great news for the Heat, and actually, as per this update, I think it's already confirmed.

Kyle Lowry is on track to make his return for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics

The line has not moved significantly yet, but it doesn't matter now, it's still a great news for the Heat, so let's see if Lowry could give a good minutes for the Heat who were badly beaten in game 2.

I think I will just wait until game time, just to make sure that he will play. I don't expect him to be a big threat on the offense but only on the defensive side and if he will bring the ball, that would help the heat to have a good ball rotation. No Butler all the time, everyone has to stepped up as that's the only way they can match the Celtics' offense.

True, I think his presence might be enough though, Gabe Vincent is good no question about it, but when we talk about experience and leadership, Kyle should be the one stepping up. Maybe limited minutes of him to be in the court, but I would say that it will help a lot to drive the offense for the Heat. I might go with the +6.5 for the Heat. Maybe the Celtics will win this game 3, but it's going to be close.

Congrats mate, big win by the Heat, though Butler did not return in the 2nd half, but they still manage the win. Kyle Lowry only made 11 points but his contribution on the defensive side is very appreciated, he had 4 steals in the game, that's super good already.

For those who are worried about Butler status, as per report, he is likely to play in game 4.
https://dknation.draftkings.com/2022/5/21/23136306/jimmy-butler-injury-updates-heat-vs-celtics-nba-dfs-fantasy-basketball-oladipo-herro-tucker

Thanks mate, I was wrong though, I thought that it will be Jimmy to carry the team but it was Bam Adebayo who did it for them. Kyle Lowry too as I have said will be a big influence and surely he did a lot and contribute with his assists and steals to help them get a 2-1 advantage Hopefully Butler and Tatum can get back in game 4 and make the game very exciting.

^^ Ayos ako naman eh talagang -6.5 before the game at hindi na nakataya ng live betting. Ang lupit ng GSW, from 19 points down at bumalik sa 3rd at 4th quarter. Parang mahihirapan na ang Mavs dito.

Ngayon Miami Heat vs Celtics, didiin parin ako sa +5.5 sa Heat 1.99 maganda ganda pang odds. Baka pilitin ni Butler ang game na to sa kanila.
