4621  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Currency Usage on: May 02, 2021, 06:31:28 AM
I'm pretty sure you can already see items priced in cryptocurrencies in online stores.
You can, but it's still extremely rare to see something priced in crypto and it will take some time before this goes into mainstream, probably until some big store like Amazon or Alibaba starts showing the prices like that, and lead the way for others.

All in due time though, I still think that current usage of cryptocurrencies surpassed the wildest dreams of those early supporters. And it all started with the two pizzas Smiley
4622  Economy / Speculation / Re: How risky do you feel investing in Bitcoin is in this point of time? on: May 02, 2021, 05:24:49 AM
If you are investing money that you don't need and don't mind waiting for a couple of years, I would say that buying BTC at these levels is hardly risky at all, but if you are into it for a quick profit, then it's very risky.

In my opinion, best way to invest in BTC is to use dollar cost average method, so that you don't have to think about timing the market because as newbie chances that you will do that properly are slim.
4623  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not yet at $100k, why? on: May 02, 2021, 05:20:27 AM
Yep, I think that it's very much possible. Just remember that around the same time back in 2017 BTC was below 3k, if I can recall correctly, and we all know at what price it ended by the end of the year. Since BTC is at approximately 55k, it needs less than 100% increase to reach 100k which is not that much really, when you think that we have 7 months ahead of us.

Even if 100k by the end of 2021 doesn't happen I would say that BTC had a very good year.
4624  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FREEWALLET.ORG - Scam Alert on: May 02, 2021, 05:09:15 AM
is there anyone here who can help me, I am having trouble withdrawing my funds from freewallet, I have sent all my data and selfies, but from 2019 until now the funds are still being held. every time I post on Facebook they always delete and my message is also not replied to. if needed I will screenshot my account and all the evidence of the 300 emails that have been sent but the answers are nonsense. I hope the seniors in bitcointalk can help me,, because I really need these funds, for routine parents' medical expenses
I'm sorry to hear that you are your funds are held by Freewallet for so long, but unfortunately noone on this forum can really force them to do anything. They have been tagged and flagged by senior members already and as you can see that didn't help much.

But who knows, maybe they decide to do something after they see your post..

4625  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Nove NFT igre? on: April 30, 2021, 08:31:07 PM
4626  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Nove NFT igre? on: April 30, 2021, 08:23:19 PM

4627  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Nove NFT igre? on: April 30, 2021, 07:46:47 PM

4628  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Nove NFT igre? on: April 30, 2021, 04:36:48 PM
Rinse and repeat.

4629  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BucksCake bounty on: April 30, 2021, 04:28:55 PM

I've risked twice. The criteria of investing was - bounty altcoin can be traded, reputed manager.
Ah, so you haven't invested in something before it was listed and then did the bounty campaign to kinda get more tokens of a project you like, and in the meantime spread the word?

That reminded me of that dodgy technique that I saw few times where after bounty was over, team required from bounty hunters to invest 50-100 USD in order to get those bounty tokens. That has to be one of the shittiest ways to screw up bounty hunters.
4630  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why bitcoin investment is better than Ponzi scheme on: April 30, 2021, 03:06:34 PM

There are more to write but I would stop here to see other reasons why Bitcoin investment is better than Ponzi scheme.
There are some ignorant people who think of bitcoin as just another ponzi scheme, but you are preaching to a choir as noone here (except an ocassional troll) sees bitcoin even remotely similar to the ponzi scheme. And honestly, those two shouldn't even be in the same sentence.
4631  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BucksCake bounty on: April 30, 2021, 08:46:42 AM
I dont join obvious scam projects promotional programs. By shady I meant, something like KragX. Another DEX exchange that offers various options to earn, that on first glance does not have a future. But who knows what they could really achieve?
I understand, but honestly I wouldn't join something that I think has no future and that there is a high chance of either being a scam or to just fail, as it happens  more often than not with those altcoins projects.

If you were a bounty hunter, would you ever consider at least retweeting their tweets, or you will skip immediately?
I would join bounty campaign only if I personally invested my own money into some project. By the way, since you are active on bounty hunter scene, do you ever invest in some altcoin while doing bounty campaign, or do you know any bounty hunters that do that?

4632  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of fake wallets on Google Play, 9 active at the moment! on: April 30, 2021, 08:39:42 AM

But is it possible to download apps where it could be like a video game or something and then it is some malicious software?
It's entirely possible. Better be safe than sorry, get the app directly from developers website.

@Rikafip - we have 2 fake Connect wallet apps in Google Play,

Code:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.djADDSu.vsDDux
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.djcqu.vsaqux
First sorry, for the late reply, despite telegram bot notification I completely missed your post. Those two fake wallets have been added to the list and of course reported to Google!

4633  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Nove NFT igre? on: April 29, 2021, 07:22:04 AM

4634  Local / Altcoins (Hrvatski) / Re: Nove NFT igre? on: April 29, 2021, 06:15:41 AM

4635  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BucksCake bounty on: April 28, 2021, 04:59:28 PM
Yes, I'm an optimist, hoping not to get rich, but get some easy money, as I participate in all these social media bounty in free time and spend 10-15min on them daily. Being scammed does not bother me at all. I'm quite resistant to them now. In fact, it is even interesting to see how scam develops.
Ok, being scammed doesn't bother you, but have you ever thought that by joining campaign that you know is shady AF and promoting the project you may make someone invest their hard earned money? Realistically, chances for that to happen based on some tweets/fb shares/whatever are miniscule as bounty hunters usually follow each other and have 0 reach, but what if someone from your followers see you writing "xyz project is the best" and actually decided to invest? Doesn't that bother you at all?

Remember, purpose of scammy projects is not to scam bounty hunters out of useless shitcoins, but to scam people out of their ETH/BTC or whatever they accept as a mean of payment.
4636  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BucksCake bounty on: April 27, 2021, 09:27:12 PM
That bounty hunter you quoted... Who is that guy really kidding if not himself... Classic hardcore denial of reality, lol.
Hah yeah, they really tend to be very gullible, like in this case. Worst thing of all is, if they were willing to invest just a fraction of time they spend on doing those shitty bounties, they would manage to learn thing or two about crypto, and while doing so maybe even get in some signature campaign and make some money that way.

The whole thing reminds me of Ethconnect, one of the cleanest swindles of all-time. Hot off the recent successes of Bitconnect, this coin was, you guessed it, Bitconnect but on Ethereum. The main difference is Ethconnect never even existed!  Cheesy

It conducted an ICO on the premise that its tokens would be used for a Bitconnect-esque "lending system." They had an almost neverending token sale, which continued well after it was exposed as a scam, and then packed up shop and rode off into the sunset without distributing shit.
I don't think I heard about Ethconnect before as that was before I became active here, but I guess some things never really change.
4637  Economy / Reputation / Re: KICKICO-KickEx:Legit business or scam in making? on: April 27, 2021, 09:13:05 PM
My advice for you is to simply forget about those airdropped tokens and move on. It's simply not worth the money and effort.
people are willing kyc for 1000 dollars. 888,888 is much greater than what some would risk doing.
888,888 KICK is currently worth only ~$250 so it's not as much as you think. And in order to unlock those tokens you have to spend amount several times higher than those tokens are worth, and while doing so you will probably loose even more money as if you are not an experienced trader, you will loose the money.

When you take all that above into consideration you will understand why noone in their right mind will try to unlock those tokens.
4638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: April 27, 2021, 08:56:36 PM

I hope they bring back a host/hostess or a host couple in the future. This hostless concept struck me as dull and unimaginative. I think, previous ceremonies were much better.

What I would like to see is Ricky Gervais being the main host, so like the job that he did many times brilliantly for Golden Globes. That would certainly  increase the ratings and would make Oscar ceremony interesting once again but unfortunately chances of that happening in the future are slim to none.

Year 2021 was record low for Oscar awards with only 9.9 million viewers that is 58% lower than last year and I am not surprised about that considering all pandemic crazyness.
I am not surprised to see that 83 year old Anthony Hopkins received Oscar (betting odds 9 suggest that he was underdog to win this year award ) but it looks like he was not so much interested in this as he was resting in Wales and didn't want to travel anywhere.
I am sure that he would have traveled if it wasn't for this covid-19 situation but I guess that he just wanted to play it safe and stay home.

I see that Tenet won award for best visual effects but I would give it one extra reward for best movie to watch when you want to go to sleep Smiley
Haha true, it's really tiresome and I remmeber when I watched it that I couldn't wait for it to finish. Didn't fall asleep though, buy my wifer was pissed because she, to quote her  "wasted whole damn evening watching this crap". Cheesy

Since you are regular Oscar follower tell me did you bet and won anything?
10 mBTC bet on Hopkins would give you nice 90 mBTC return.
I bet few weeks ago, but back then I didn't include Hopkins. I lost the ticket due Olivia Colman not winning an Oscar, and even though I mentioned that I might bet on Hopkins few days ago, I completely forgot about it.
4639  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BucksCake bounty on: April 27, 2021, 03:08:14 PM
I did find an archived version of the white paper. It was shamelessly copy/pasted by hoards of bounty hunters on other mediums across the web.
So much about hard working bounty hunters Cheesy. But seriously, I am sorry for those who are making video reviews as I saw that some of them actually put decent effort into it, while this article bounty work from what I saw is just a copy/paste or text spinned content.

After their website, twitter and Telegram went down, some guy on their bounty thread is still hoping for the best. As long as bounty hunters keep being so naive, they will be exploited by scammers..

Any sourse of this claim? Where you got the news that it's a scam project? Although the bounty manager taking some time to give us the updated spreadsheet in this thread. It doesn't mean the project is scam. Let's wait some time more ,Give them some more time to update us before claiming scam without any strong proof. I hope you got my point. Wink

@bakasabo  I know that won't really change anything, but if you raise the flag against @BucksCake I will gladly support it.
4640  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is freewallet a scam? on: April 27, 2021, 10:01:07 AM
@freewallet
because covid-19 I really need this money. I hope that my account can be unlocked. My problem has not been resolved until now, and I am very angry. If my problem is not solved, I will keep posting on bitcointalk to tell everyone that freewallet is a scam.
Sorry to hear that after four months your case still hasn't been resolved, and based by the Freewalet's practice up until now, I don't think that you have much options othee than going through KYC in order to get your funds back, unfortunately.

One thing I don't get though is why you decided to use Freewallet as you are as you said " privacy-conscious person and don't want to perform kyc procedures." as in their TOS its stated that they can ask for that in certain situation. I fully understand that their request for KYC is most likely a bullshit way to get people out of their funds, but you should have been more careful before you decided to use them.

In case Freewallet detects suspicious activity on Freewallet account, Freewallet conducts AML/KYC procedure for the user. To be sure that nobody has unauthorized access to the users account, We ask to provide all necessary information for verification, including without limitation an ID, photo, screenshots showing the source of all your incoming transactions etc. The User is obliged to pass through AML/KYC procedures, which may be applied to the User from time to time, and provide accurate and truthful information about himself as well as maintain and promptly update his Freewallet Account information in case of any changes.

If my problem is not solved, I will keep posting on bitcointalk to tell everyone that freewallet is a scam.
I don't think that they will change their mind just because of that as their account has been tagged & flagged already, and here on bitcointalk they are pretty much considered to be a scammy wallet that should be avoided.
