I asked a friend from Europe to make an account in Coinmama, so I could send him BTC and he could sell them to his bank account.
He went through the verification process as I asked him to, he got fully verified, and few hours after having the transaction 'in process', they sent an email asking him how he met me (during the selling process of the bitcoins, they asked about the source of the bitcoins, friend or family or other), after answering that email, they went further to ask on why I sent him the BTC which once again my friend answered.
They now finally decided that all is good and they could release the money and now it should arrive in 1-2 business days (SEPA transfer).
I'm not familiar with these exchanges to be honest because I'm most of the time trading with individuals when it comes to fiat, but aside from the KYC, are these questions a normal procedure?

Electrum seems out of the question, to be honest just because of the interface. I think the remake of GreenBits from Blockstream looks like a good option when it comes to UI/UX. I couldn't find their source code though and even though Blockstream is very reputable, I don't think I would go with it. Can anyone give his review on that wallet? Right now, Mycelium seem to be the best solution since everyone mentioned that SegWit support is here and that bug has been fixed.

It's an old thread but as everyone is suggesting BitPay cards, I must ask, aren't they only available in the U.S?

I can vouch that he is trustworthy. Give him a go if you are in this predicament and you have an idea of what the password might be.
Who will trust the assessment of a newly joined member for the purpose of writing this review? no one. Stop trying to scam others using your scam service. If you can access those addresses then why return the money to those users without keeping them to yourself. Cryptocurrencies "Bitcoin" are designed to trust that in yourself and not in others. I have never used them myself but It's legitimate service, I've read an endless amount of reviews about the good work they've been doing, you can check the forums and Reddit as well. This is the owner's profile.

I've spoken to them through the live chat since I didn't receive any response using email, and they said it's removed but it's going to be temporary with no ETA given.

It seems like it's the case for everyone whenever the regular wire is used. If you're from Europe, I suggest checking Coinmama or Coinbase, they both support SEPA transfers which should be done in 1-3 days.

I was trying to use Bitonic for the first time for a friend. I went to their verification link and I simply typed the bank account number but it keeps saying that account is not valid for SEPA Transfers even though it is and I checked it on IBAN.com and the bank itself. Can someone confirm that it's a technical issue and they're facing the same issue?

I have another account for sale. It has approximately 250 hours of play. It's gold nova 4 and it has the 2019 medal. It's my personal account and the email is not verified yet (no SteamGuard).

You should look into the possibility that the service is not legit. I found some scam accusations from the past while googling about them.
Being down for so many days without announcing anything in their social media website only shows how unprofessional they are.

Just like Binance, this looks like a way to push their blockchain and coin. I don't think I could say its a step backward though because the fact that we are being able to retain full control over our private keys is already a huge step forward and could make us avoid inside jobs or hacks easily.

It's certainly a hit, since the two most commonly used alternatives to traditional exchanges for p2p trading both now have fairly stricter KYC procedures. It's inevitable, but perhaps it is time to seek alternatives in decentralised exchanges. On forum trading is possible, but I still don't see enough low spread buyers/sellers to make it worthwhile.
I think it all depends on the payment method used when it comes to the forums. For example, I've never faced any problems with PayPal but with Skrill, I couldn't find anyone basically, at least not in time. Another reason why people don't post is that there is a lack of trust because of the nature of these methods.

We're already seeing closed source hardware wallets, so I wouldn't be surprised in the future If our privacy will get thrown out of the window even by HW providers.
KYC can easily be avoided, to be honest. It's just that most of the people don't want to put any effort to find other people to trade with, they just want convenience instead.
People will only learn the hard way, and mostly by getting hacked, when centralized exchanges and servers get hacked and people lose their money, it's only then when they think about switching to something more secure and safe.

As the title says, I have 1200$ in BTC and I would like to have PayPal funds. The rates will be 1:1 using preev.com
I'm not willing to do the whole amount with one individual regardless of his trust score. Also not doing anything smaller than 100$ per transaction.
If you have no solid trust history, and you are low ranked, please don't bother posting here. I won't be taking profiles from other forums or trading platforms as proof.

Putting the P2P trading aside even though it could be the best option and according to this list, you should be able to use Coinmama and Coinbase, they're both reputable exchanges, give them a try.

In that case, is it possible that the payment methods depend on the country? because I don't have dragonpay, whatever that is. For crypto, I only have the option to pay using MobileGo.
I sent a message to Xsolla asking them about this, I'll make sure to post back here once I get a response.

I understand that Binance is reputable and wouldn't be adding scam ICOs that they don't do a background check on but I still think that this is not the way to go, exchanges are doing this for the money, that's understandable but they're also giving more credibility to these projects, so people might invest much more money than they usually would which is not a good thing If the outcome of these ICOs don't manage to deliver.

I doubt it's going to be removed, not with you trying to cheat the system by giving yourself positive trust using other accounts anyway. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F44ZOcjy.png&t=663&c=YYy8_hlFOVARTA) I suggest you give the rules, both ranking and the trust system a read again If you haven't.

I won't deposit bitcoins. I will trade with individuals though I would like to know how I can avoid reverse payment. also, do they ask swift code for bank wire? i would like to know what information they ask as perfect money ask too many information about the bank.
I don't know how PerfectMoney functions but Skrill has a very simple process, they just ask you for Swift and IBAN code and they'll either deduct or add some money into your account to prove the ownership of the account If I remember correctly.

I haven't been looking into Android wallets until now because I bought a new phone. I'm not willing to go with Jaxx, Coinomi and these multi-coin wallets that are closed source. Any thoughts?
I was thinking about Mycelium but I'm not sure whether It's still a good option or not yet. I have heard about them going to implement SegWit and I don't know if that's done yet or not. I also know they used to have problems on the estimation of the fees etc.
I know about Samourai as well, and I don't like the UI to be honest and I also read somewhere that they made a bold move by basically remove the fiat price of BTC in the app which leaves the user clueless and could lead to mistakes.
