4621  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Usagi: Simple contract violation on: October 11, 2012, 08:30:23 AM
Usagi just deleted all his posts and his website.

Just because glbse went down its not cool to try and rip off your shareholders if that is the intention.

The Usagi will return in a blaze of glory to lead the forums into a new age of prosperity. Just like Jesus.

BTW, bitcoin.me . Hats off to you for being the only one taking responsibility in this mess.
4622  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoinblaster.com - any product requests? on: October 10, 2012, 09:05:21 PM
Do you have laser cutters? O2 tanks would be neat too.

Also my stasis module has been on the fritz lately, so I might need to replace that.
4623  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Dank on: October 10, 2012, 09:00:30 PM
Well, with his track record, he'll have to rely on survival investments donations for the long term.

Also, totally wanna get a dank tag.
4624  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Banks keep shutting down your exchange? - lessons from a Ponzi scheme on: October 10, 2012, 07:29:30 PM
Thanks for the lesson on how to run a ponzi undetectederer. I'm off to the lending forums.
4625  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone going to play the new XCOM? on: October 10, 2012, 07:20:18 PM
Now if only they would make a
new turn based fallout
Prepare to have your mind blown: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasteland_2

Looks great, but I'm still waiting for Fallout like game set in post apocaliptic world of Mad Max (including turn based car combat and chases).

I saw a roguelike turn based car combat game in a post apocaliptic world on Steam Greenlight a few days ago. Forgot what it's called though.
4626  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 10, 2012, 07:15:23 PM
And another day has passed, apparently without any progress...

Does anybody know why the "account verification system" was taken offline earlier today? Did Nefario get a smackdown from the other shareholders, did his lawyer suddenly tell him not to do it, or did he just suddenly realise that nobody would trust him with that info any longer?

Anyone with some knowledge would like to shed some light on it?

Considering that scanning an ID (Personalausweis) is illegal in Germany, I would guess it might have to do with his requiring Germans to scan their ID.
4627  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: 45000BTC Loan need for 24 months 25% interest on: October 10, 2012, 02:19:00 PM
I'll get right on that.

In the meantime could you post a picture of yourself with a shoe on your head and a sign reading "BTC = fun now"?

Also, cheese would be good. See if you can get cheese somewhere in there.
4628  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MPOE-PR MPEX Representative Instigating FUD and Pedaling Illegal Immoral Service on: October 10, 2012, 01:05:38 PM
While you are at it, please give a scammer tag to the people MPOE-PR (Mircea) has paid to troll and ruin people's reputations on these forums: Puppet, Deprived, and Eskimobob. I also strongly suspect Guruvan and Greyhawk because they usually repeat the same arguments as the first three.

MPOE is not paying me to ruin people's reputations.

4629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin going for more than $20 on eBay? on: October 10, 2012, 12:36:59 PM
Look at this guy's history:
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=allimsell

He is able to consistently sell at least half of the listing of bitcoin for much more than $20 per coin. Why are people buying at $20+ when they could've gotten it for the market price everywhere else. I mean it's cheaper to just buy a casascius physical coin, and get the btc this way. I don't get it.

That works something like this:

The buyers buy, then reverse their transaction after the seller has left positive feedback.

4631  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Got off the phone with the Guy from the S.E.C on: October 10, 2012, 12:18:09 PM
Maybe that is his "plan", close GLBSE, open a complient business.

who would trust nefario now if he would open a new business?

The same people who still believe pirate is going to pay, are still using Intersango and keep falling for obvious scams.

Isn't Nefario an Intersango employee even?
4632  Economy / Goods / Re: BitcoinCoffee.com -- FREE Gourmet Samples for Anyone! (Website Launch in 2 days) on: October 10, 2012, 12:15:45 PM
Anyone from anywhere?
4633  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Dank on: October 10, 2012, 12:13:54 PM
why not give him food stamps as well ?

That IS exactly what his "bank" is for.
4634  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Soon comes the ASIC onslaught, what about the aftermath.. on: October 10, 2012, 11:29:42 AM
Yup, like crazyates said.

GPU's are still useful for Litecoin. I was up all night looking into Litecoin Mining. I am convinced that the value of GPU's aren't over yet. Litecoin has no FGPA/ASIC tech, and CPU and GPU mining are it's only methods. I am convinced that Litecoin miners will be getting a deal on everyone's old cards, then the value of them will shoot back up a little later. I might do some Litecoin mining for awhile, then I'll sell off my stuff once I get a bit of LTC. I have a feeling that LTC may shoot up to a dollar by this time next year. Sort of like BTC did.

Why wont ASIC's also work for Litecoin mining? Aren't they built off the same original protocols as Bitcoin?

Nope. Different hashing algorithm.
4635  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: btkoin on: October 10, 2012, 11:02:03 AM
I smell phising too: price to low, address is from Denmark but from the whois of the site seems owned by a society called "Gy dfd" with a chinese address but USA (AL) as nation.

This is likely the latest incarnation of EasZPay.com, MtGix.com, MtGax.com, I4dollars.com and now BTKoin.com

It is. They did not even bother to update their source code:

4636  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Dank on: October 10, 2012, 10:51:38 AM
On a related note:
Dank's guitar is painfully out of tune. Guitar tuners start at only $8 on Amazon.
Anyone volunteering to set up a donation address so we can buy Dank a tuner?

great!
another sock puppet suggesting free money for dank for another ridiculous reason

His suggestion is far from ridiculous. Using a guitar tuner is helpful for beginners who have not yet developed the ear necessary to tune without a reference.
4637  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: New deposit offer on: October 10, 2012, 10:39:59 AM
Describe the shirt please.
4638  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Dank on: October 10, 2012, 10:01:08 AM
I'll have to concur with Rarity's assessment. If I go to iTunes or the Amazon MP3 store and order a song, but instead of my song got a jumbled mess of screeches, that would be considered a scam also.
4639  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is stealing Bitcoins illegal? on: October 10, 2012, 09:49:45 AM
Ok, most of you don't know this, because they are either too young or have never worked a day in their lives. But in Europe before we had the Euro, we had another currency in addition to national currencies. That was the ECU, a digital, virtual currency extensively used for commercial and bank purposes across national borders within the EU. Stealing someone's ECU was of course illegal.

Bitcoin is the same thing.

If you dislike another person, you are only disliking yourself, for that person is no different than you.  That person is you.

Now you are saying that you are me?   Huh
We have different egos, sure, but we share the same consciousness.

Is that where my fucked up dreams come from? Because in that case I'd like you to stop.
