4621  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: mining on: July 13, 2021, 06:53:50 PM
There is an old ebook that I found mining bitcoin you can try to read it but the ebook is too old but you will learn how Bitcoin mining starts with CPU, GPU to FPGA ASIC.

Check this link below
- http://euro.ecom.cmu.edu/resources/elibrary/epay/IntroductiontoBitcoinMiningSterry.pdf

If you are planning to mine with ASIC miner then I suggest you read this "First time/Small miner reference for getting started."

For maintaining your miner then check this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=40.0 most of the maintaining guide is already posted on sticky/pin thread.
4622  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Not reading psbt file on: July 13, 2021, 05:18:57 PM
I have some solutions for this but I think it will risk your current wallet if you do this in online mode.
This is my solution according to their docs here https://coldcardwallet.com/docs/bip85
You can export a private key(WIF key) if you can export the private keys of your wallet you can import it to Electrum do this in offline mode.
Then after you import the private key get the address(public key) and make a watch-only wallet on another PC/device and make a transaction to consolidate all (UTXO).

This is the only thing that I think will work if the coldcard can't handle many (UTXO).
4623  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Fixing Dragonmint T1 miners: Thoughts and observations on: July 12, 2021, 11:57:50 PM
Hello my friend
Were you able to find a way to find the broken Dragon 16th chip?

I think the model name of dragonmint t1 chip is "DM8575" try to look on the marketplace like Alibaba or Aliexpress with this ASIC chip name

or try to Google it with that keyword.

Here look I found one but they are out of stock

It's true you haven't experienced any issue with coinomi. But this doesn't mean no one has experienced any issue.
Visit the following topics to know what I am talking about.

WARNING - Coinomi Wallet CRITICAL Vulnerability Made Me Lose My Life Savings
Coinomi wallet sends your plain text seed phrase to Google

Opppss... I remember that thing I was actually planning to transfer my funds after reading that news about Coinomi before but since the value of my coins/token is low compared to the user who hacked with $70k which is huge money I let stay use their wallet. I never put big amounts but I use them to receive mine coins not holding for long but sending them to another wallet after I received them from the pool.

The issue is they use Google APIs before but right now I could see them they might remove this due to reported issues.

Well, there is no other option but to use a hardware wallet for a better and secured wallet or cold storage, trust wallet actually is a newborn wallet and most of the people who posted here are newbies and I believe they just promoting it just like this thread.
4625  Other / Meta / Re: SSL handshake failed on: July 12, 2021, 06:06:39 PM
Maybe there was some DDos or something , sometimes it happens for time to time !
Or theymos tried to implement the new Forum Software  , (but i guess not ) just kidding with that.
The most times i have seen it , it was over after few hours .

It's not a DDOS attack it's related to SSL the forum couldn't establish a secured connection so the issue is on their client-side they might some changes on SSL or they might be updating a new SSL. Since the forum SSL is registered in Cloudflare there might be an issue with Cloudflare.

According to this https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/ there is a network performance issue this might be the reason why we experienced this "SSL handshake failed" but according to them it was resolved.
4626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create your own coin from source on: July 12, 2021, 05:27:43 PM
I have a few sources with huge information about making your own coin.

Check these links below

This one has lots of sources including ETH, Monero, and BTC, and other altcoins you also learn how to implement blockchain.

For old links you can check this one below you can start building your own by following the DIY blockchain

4627  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: trust wallet security on: July 12, 2021, 05:00:56 PM
Ok thx i Trust enabled some password layer and also ther eis mobile phone password, so it takes time to go through even you lost your phone and people who finds it and knowsw which is crypto wallet can do lots of damage.

Why do you use a trust wallet? Any reason?

If your purpose is holding multiple cryptos then it's not safe for long-term hodl if you are planning to hold a huge amount of cryptos I would suggest you buy a hardware wallet instead like Ledger nano. For another option you can check Coinomi I'm using this wallet for a long time since then never experienced any issue holding some coins It's a close source but they are operating since 2014 until now.
4628  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s19 pro hashboard seems to be faulty on: July 12, 2021, 04:18:09 PM
Try some basic things first before you send it back for a service warranty.

Try to reset it to factory default by holding the reset/IPreport button for 15 seconds and try to run it again.

If not flash the firmware with the latest version available from Bitmain here https://service.bitmain.com/support/download?product=Antminer%20S19%20Pro

If nothing works then your last hope is to send back to Bitmain.
4629  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trusted Bitcoin seller for PayPal? on: July 12, 2021, 07:28:34 AM
If you are living in the US I think you can buy bitcoin in Coinbase using Paypal.
The only problem is you will need to verify a KYC process and your Paypal must have a linked bank account or debit card to be able to buy Bitcoin using Paypal.

Read this Coinbase blog post here https://blog.coinbase.com/a-new-way-to-buy-crypto-on-coinbase-using-paypal-e9162f735dcb

If you are not living in the US, your last option is to trade on P2P exchange, but only a few accept Paypal as payment or look on currency exchange here on the forum as suggested above.
4630  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s9se problem on: July 11, 2021, 11:48:02 PM
Chain 0 and 2 show abnormal status according to your logs.

Can you try to do a hard reset by holding the reset/IPreport button for 15 seconds then release and then set up the miner again to test if it will run fine?
But if still not working try to remove all cable from your control board, Hashboard, and PSU and try to clean the unit after that plug all the cable back and check it again if it solve your issue.
4631  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: USA MINING HOSTING FARM Recommendations needed. on: July 11, 2021, 04:33:31 PM
If you are looking for a hosting list for mining there is an old thread here on the forum that you can check.
It's outdated but I think a few of them still operating you can check them from this link below.

4632  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to buy BTC with Credit Card or PayPal? Urgent on: July 11, 2021, 04:20:04 PM
If you are living in the US or UK you can try cash.app you can add the credit card into cash.app and buy Bitcoin.
The KYC process is fast I think within a day it should approve after the KYC process.

After you buy bitcoin I'm sure you can buy the WAX actually I don't know what is this I can't find it on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap except for WAXP it seems there are many exchanges for this but only Coinex exchange is the best place I think to buy this token they don't have KYC, unlike the other exchanges.
4633  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to do online payment with bitcoin on: July 10, 2021, 11:59:13 PM
I think this is the right time to make a transaction you can pay 1sat/byte for low priority today according to https://mempool.space/

Unless if your Bitcoin is from Exchange you can't control their transaction fee unlike on a wallet like Electrum you can control and customize the fee.
4634  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com - Makes things difficult to send BTC, am I the only one? on: July 10, 2021, 11:33:01 PM
Blockchain wallet actually is too buggy I have experienced before using their wallet that sometimes my balance becomes zero or my funds are gone. I always reported it to support and request to refresh my account to fix the issue. After that, they refresh my account and solved my issue. So if all suggestion above doesn't work only support can help you about this issue.

I suggest you next time don't use any online wallet like blockchain and better switch to Electrum wallet as other suggested above.

Have you saved your recovery phrase (a series of 12 words)?
Using your recovery phrase, you can import your wallet into another wallet like electrum and access your fund easily.

Is this will work?
I never heard that the 12 words seed from blockchain when you import it to Electrum you will see your funds?

So I think this will not work so the only solution is to report this to the support and send all of his funds to the new wallet in Electrum.
4635  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get satisfaction from payment schedule of this forum? on: July 09, 2021, 09:12:12 PM
Actually, the forum will never pay you for every post so you won't get paid for any post you made even this.

If you join in some signature campaign you will get paid for every post and it depends on the rank and campaign how much you can earn for every post.

Much better read this "How you can earn money from bitcointalk.org?"

Also, you will need to rank up first because most of the campaigns nowadays don't accept newbies but it won't be easy to rank up because you will need merit before you can able to rank up.
Read this link below to know how merit works

Read all threads from this link below on how to earn merit

4636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Wallets: How to keep them clean? on: July 09, 2021, 08:36:54 PM

Is there any Topic related to best practices for using Wallets and Addresses?

Have you tried to check the sticky thread here in this section?
Check this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631151.0

Almost all questions you have already been answered above the only thing that I want to add is that always monitor the Mempool stats from here https://mempool.space/
And wait for a day or time that the network is not congested like today the low priority is 7sat/byte and high priority is 21sat/byte the fee is low so you can get less fee when you make a transaction today(You can get lesser transaction fee in the future if you merge your all UTXO today).

4638  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Not reading psbt file on: July 09, 2021, 04:56:43 PM
What error do you see on the Coldcard screen after you choose "ready to sign"?

Try to make/recreate a new PSBT file again in Electrum put them to SD card but this time make sure to reject safely the SD card reader from the PC.
Now put the SD card to Coldcard and check if it will read the PSBT file.

If not replace your SD card and try again. Also, check the Coldcard firmware version the current latest version is 4.1.1.
Also, try the lower version of Electrum I think 4.1.1 same as the latest firmware version of the Coldcard.
4639  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: MINING WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION - WHY ? on: July 09, 2021, 03:26:12 PM
That's normal it won't stop mining until the internet connection is back.

I think you can use some 3rd party tools like Awesomeminer to turn the miner into idle mode when there is no internet connection but it won't turn the miner off if that is the thing you want.
4640  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: what's the most generous mining pool by JULY 2021 ? on: July 09, 2021, 03:05:45 PM
Have you check ViaBTC mining pool?

They giving mining bonus if you mine on ViaBTC through merge mining read it from here https://support.viabtc.com/hc/en-us/articles/900001530543
You will need to choose PPLNS payment method to be able to earn bonus.
