i want to keep this short this user whoever this is

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=175302
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=318262

Bitcoin address:   1oooTXKUgGbLhVTG4zZ4FJi71Xzk6vijL
That appears to be two different accounts... unless you are claiming that Avirunes and Johny Depp are alt accounts? Huh Do you have any proof that ties these 2 accounts together?

Quote
He left me a negative trust and i Don't know him, don't care, no proof, just a blind accusation, whats the best way to report these to admins ?
No proof? The proof seems relatively clear that the two sites are being run by the same person(s)... otherwise, why would they both be using the same XPUB? Huh

Also, trust is not moderated... you can't report it to an admin. The only person that can remove that red trust is the person who left it. You will need to make contact with Avirunes and present your argument to them.

As far as i checked the reference these guys are extremely stupid and don't realise that the game is purchased and hosted from a 3rd party provider. How can trust of this forum should be left on hands of these uneducated idiots, when they can't even tell that the website is making API calls from same source IP.

So according to these guys, the guy who can build a gambling site, would be stupid enough to use same address ? there guys are stupid beyond explanation.
I'm not sure I follow your argument... you say that this game is "purchased and hosted from a 3rd party provider"... that's fine, but why would 2 different sites (btcjua.com and skobet.com) that are supposedly being run/administered by 2 different users (being yourself and "bitcoinfuck") both be using exactly the same XPUB as proof of their bankroll and transactions? Huh

I'm fairly sure that a 3rd party provider would not be providing your bankroll...

That is a seriously sweet lift. The flames make it go faster.
Those aren't speed flames... they're pointed in the wrong direction... those flames are just there to generate more hot air, which rises, to help with the lifting Wink
4623  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live Question on: March 14, 2019, 09:20:21 PM
The short answer is just run Ledger Live and then follow all the prompts... it will tell you "step by step" what you need to do (connect and unlock device, open coin app etc). After you have it all setup, you don't even need to have the Nano S connected when you want to run Ledger Live and view your balances etc.

Also... don't use the Chrome App. As far as I'm aware, it hasn't been updated in a long time and is deprecated.
4624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Latest version of Core wont run on Windows 10 on: March 14, 2019, 08:59:43 PM
Yeah, as above... last resort would be to create the media, backup your important stuff, wipe the computer and clean install.
4625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Latest version of Core wont run on Windows 10 on: March 14, 2019, 08:56:37 PM
About all I could recommend at this stage... would be to try creating Win10 install media

And then try using one of the "repair" options when booting... I would just make sure that you backup all your important stuff BEFORE you try doing any repairing/restoring... I ran into an issue a while back and attempted to do a "dirty" reinstall, and apparently Microsoft's idea of "will keep all your data" is a bit different to mine! Roll Eyes Undecided I lost a bunch of stuff because it wiped certain directories that I didn't think it would...

It might also be worth considering going as far as backing up, then completely wiping the PC and doing a clean install...

@Thule, I'm not even on DT.
Actually, you are... you're on DT2 thanks to gmaxwell.

You can verify this by seeing that the trust feedbacks you have left show under the "Trusted Feedback" section when using the ";dt" view modifier: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=926376;dt

4627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get BTC off cold storage (usb) into an exchnage on: March 13, 2019, 10:42:22 PM
I haven't heard of a wallet.wallet file before. Could it be a Multibit file?
"wallet.wallet" does indeed sound like it might be a MultiBit file... possibly MultiBit Classic.

OP, do you remember if your original wallet application looked something like this:

If it did, recovering the funds will require a little bit of work, as MultiBit is no longer developed or supported. As such, you wouldn't be able to send your coins directly from MultiBit... however, you should still be able to install it, start it up, open your "wallet.wallet" file and then export your private keys. You could then then import those private keys into another wallet like Electrum.

From there you would be able to spend the coins and send them to an exchange etc.
4628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Winrar exploit - update now on: March 13, 2019, 10:34:13 PM
Thank you very much o_e_l_e_o updated my Winrar but how could this Exploit stay undetected for 14 years.
Much the same way that the Electrum "error notification" exploit went undetected for so long... basically, no-one was looking for it, so no-one found it... The exploit wasn't in WinRAR itself, but in a bundled .DLL file for the ACE archiver, that the WinRAR devs did not have access to the source code for.

To make use of this exploit, you needed to craft a malicious .ace archive (which could be renamed to .rar) that abused the way the ACE archiver dealt with file paths. Essentially, you could trick the archiver into extracting files to ANY file path, regardless of what the user selected.

The implications of this are that you could then cause an arbitrary file to be extracted to the Windows "start-up" folder that would then be executed when the computer was next restarted...

Quote
Are there any other cases of this exploit having been used in the past?
As far as I'm aware, there are no known cases of this exploit having been used prior to the current "malspam" attack that was launched after the exploit became public and the exploit generator script was published on github.
4629  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Norton Security alert on Electrum node.ispol.sk on: March 13, 2019, 10:02:53 PM
Reading the Symantec description of this type of threat... it appears they might just be detecting connections to specific IP addresses associated with "Coinminers"... hence why it only triggers if you connect to "node.ispol.sk".
Unusual network activity (e.g. connections to mining-related websites or IP addresses). For example, you may notice unexpected PowerShell processes connecting to IP addresses associated with xmrpool[.]net, nanopool[.]org, moneropool[.]com, and similar addresses.

If the alert doesn't show up when you connect to other nodes, then you should be fine... Norton is just scanning your network and preventing connections to what it considers to be a "bad" IP... If it shows up when connecting to ANY Electrum server, then I'd start to be really concerned... although, you already stated you checked the signature file.

Also, can you confirm that you installed Electrum to a non-standard location (or are using the standalone/portable version)? Your alert message shows it is running from a very unusual location... Huh
4630  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: New user here, not sure if I should trust Electrum...reason being: on: March 13, 2019, 09:52:32 PM
What happens if a SegWit address sends BTC to a legacy wallet address (and vice versa)?
You can send from a "bc1" addresses to any type of address (legacy or segwit) just fine... the *ONLY* issue with "bc1" addresses is that some wallets and online services do not yet recognise "bc1" addresses as being valid bitcoin addresses. So, if you attempt to withdraw coins from "StupidExchange" to your "bc1" address, the StupidExchange will refuse and say your address is invalid Roll Eyes Undecided

In this instance, you would need to either... use a "nested" SegWit (aka P2SH-P2WPKH) address... these start with a "3" and are backwards compatible... all wallets and services should be able to send to this address... or you would just use an old legacy address (starts with a 1).

Quote
And...Are people able to create NEW legacy wallet addresses? Or are they only able to restore legacy wallets that were created before the SegWit update?
Yes, you can still create any type of address/wallet that you want... Legacy ("1-type"), Nested SegWit ("3-type") or Native SegWit ("bc1" aka bech32)... assuming of course that your wallet software or provider supports that address type.

Electrum has ways to create all 3... so does Bitcoin Core... some only support Legacy and Nested.

The legitimate exchanges that you send a nested segwit transaction to (from the address beginning with bc1) will be able to add your funds manually within a few days after contacting support.
That should be "native" Wink

And it shouldn't make any difference to the exchange what address the transaction came from... they should only be concerned with outputs... so they should see the newly created UTXO just fine and you shouldn't need to contact support at all.
4631  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Help with wallet will reward. 4.67 BTC showing in coinb.in wallet but wont spend on: March 13, 2019, 09:38:04 PM
Try entering this at the Electrum import field:
Specifically... you need to use the following steps in Electrum:

- File -> New/Restore
- Give your wallet a name
- Select "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys"
- in the textbox, enter: p2wpkh-p2sh:YOUR_PRIVATE_KEY_FROM_COINB.IN
- Press Next
- Enter a password if desired

Once the wallet is opened, check the "addresses" tab, (you might need to use "View -> Show Addresses") and see if it has created the "3EKwWuPu979SBfd8sVKfAdneFXMoYMPJoy" address. If it has, it might just take a few moments for Electrum to download the blockchain headers and sync.

Check that the coloured dot in the bottom right corner is either "Blue Arrows" (syncing) or a "Green dot" (connected/synced)... if it is a "Red dot" then you are not connected to a server and it can't sync.
4632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Latest version of Core wont run on Windows 10 on: March 13, 2019, 09:16:30 PM
Question... I assume you have already tried restarting the computer? It's possible there is a ghost process somewhere screwing things up and preventing it from starting properly.

To be honest, I'm really clutching at straws here Undecided

The only other things that I can think of are:
- Permissions problem with Windows... was it an upgrade of an existing installation of Windows? or a clean install of Windows 10 on a formatted drive?
- Corrupt Windows install and Windows is missing some libraries/dlls or something like that. Huh

Like I said, clutching at straws...
4633  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is Trust abuser ( false arguments and lies) on: March 13, 2019, 08:55:27 PM
IdiotCoder has already admitted that his feedback was incorrectly placed and has removed it... which is actually pretty rare for "trust" issues on this forum!

Additionally, he didn't abuse anything... his opinion was that he believed you were a scammer... and he gave you a negative rating because of that. This is exactly what the trust system is for:
Quote
"Negative - You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer"

What it isn't supposed to be for is "retaliatory" feedback and calling people paedophiles.

Now that he knows that his reasoning for leaving the feedback was incorrect, and has admitted as much, he has removed his feedback... You would do well to do the same.
4634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Finally setting up a full node on: March 13, 2019, 08:39:40 PM
Couple of notes to add to what ETFbitcoin has said:

#1 I see backup wallet feature but I do not see any restore option.
Since there are no restore option then how do we do that?
Is this a correct way:
Imagine I have a wallet.dat file from Electrum. Do I just copy and past it in the main directory and replace the current .DAT file?
Firstly... NO! wallet files from Electrum are NOT compatible with Bitcoin Core! You cannot use a wallet.dat file from Electrum.

Also, do not try and restore the wallet.dat file while Bitcoin Core is running. There is a very real potential to corrupt the file. So, when restoring, you need to ensure that Bitcoin Core is not running, then copy the backup version of the file into the data directory, then start Bitcoin Core.

Quote
#2 In Electrum we can create as many wallet as we can using the 12 word seeds and extended seeds.
In Bitcoin core a full node is one wallet?
Bitcoin Core actually does support using multiple wallet files (since v0.15.0.1)... but only the first wallet specified with the -wallet command will be displayed in the GUI. However you will be able to interact with ALL of them from either the commandline (bitcoin-cli) or using the console in the GUI (Help -> Debug Window -> Console).

Refer: https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.15.0.1#multi-wallet-support

Quote
#3 How can I create a multiSign wallet? I do not see any feature. I think a full node is only one wallet if the #2 is correct.
Multisig isn't quite as "tidy" as in a wallet like Electrum, it currently requires a lot of manual commands. You don't create a specific "Multisig" wallet as such... but you can create Multisig addresses in any Bitcoin Core wallet by using the createmultsig command (again, using bitcoin-cli or the console]

createmultisig nrequired ["key",...] ( "address_type" )

Creates a multi-signature address with n signature of m keys required.
It returns a json object with the address and redeemScript.

Arguments:
1. nrequired                    (numeric, required) The number of required signatures out of the n keys.
2. "keys"                       (string, required) A json array of hex-encoded public keys
     [
"key"                    (string) The hex-encoded public key
       ,...
     ]
3. "address_type"               (string, optional) The address type to use. Options are "legacy", "p2sh-segwit", and "bech32". Default is legacy.

Result:
{
"address":"multisigaddress",  (string) The value of the new multisig address.
"redeemScript":"script"       (string) The string value of the hex-encoded redemption script.
}

As for spending from Multisig addresses... you can see the process in this walkthru: https://github.com/anders94/bitcoin-2-of-3-multisig

Quote
#4 Is there any easy way to "Send to many" option.
In Electrum we can just paste the addresses separating by comma with the amount in each line but here we do not have such feature. The one we have is click and fill the form which is not much user friendly. Is there any other way?
probably scripting and using the commandline... or the console, but you can't really script that, you could however generate the sendmany command using a script and copy/paste that to the console.

Quote
#5 If I use the encrypt wallet feature then this means the current wallet.dat file gets encrypted. How do I recover it? Follow #1 if my explanation is correct and in this case I will need the password phrase?
It's the same process as Electrum... the GUI will automatically prompt you for the passphrase when it requires access to the encrypted data... you "unlock" the wallet using the walletpassphrase command when you're trying to use the CLI or console.

Quote
#6 If someone want to take the full node from me. I give them everything except the wallet.dat file? I mean which are the files I am okay to give them if they want to get the files from me to run their own full node?
Just give them the "blocks" and "chainstate" folders... they don't require anything else.

Quote
#7 This full node is of-course helping the Bitcoin Network and I am happy with that.
Are you really "helping the Bitcoin Network" tho? Simply running Bitcoin Core is not enough. Is your node actually configured to allow incoming connections? If it is not... you're not really helping.

Refer to the "Network Configuration" section of "Running a Full Node": https://bitcoin.org/en/full-node#network-configuration
4635  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FORTUNEJACK dice game "provably fair" is now provably fraud! on: March 13, 2019, 11:50:00 AM
You dropbox link is broken... so I can't see your graph... but I already made that graph (outlier dropped, only 0.001, 0.002, 0.004, 0.008, 0.016 and 0.032) and showed it above... it was this one:

As you can see... all of these results are more or less on your "average" result and certainly within what you're expect as a margin of error with the limited dataset.

0.016 is above the fair win chance, but the trick is a higher wager is always at a lower win chance than the lower wager.
Win chance of 0.04 & 0.08 is lower than of 0.001 & 0.002.
Win chance of 0.32 is lower than of 0.16.
And one could just as easily claim that there is a higher wager at a higher chance than a lower wager... for instance, win chance of 0.016 is higher than chance of 0.08... and who is to say that 0.128 isn't higher than 0.064?

By your logic, and based on the data you have, you should just only ever bet 0.002 and 0.016 and you'll always come out ahead. If you simply never bet anything else you'll never lose!...By jove, I think you've cracked it! You can now take FJ down! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

That logic is so fundamentally flawed.

I'd also like to point out that you said you were gambling at chances from 61% to 66%?
I played with payout 1.5-1.6, win chance is from 66% to 61.87% for the 2000 rolls.
Every single one of the win rates for you "main wagers" falls into that range (or is higher):
0.001 - 65.52%
0.002 - 66.78%
0.004 - 65.02%
0.008 - 63.45%
0.016 - 67.81%
0.032 - 64.29%

Tell me, if you bet 1000 or whatever times on each wager with the chance shown in this graph, will you win or lose?
Most likely, you won't win. But that is more to do with the fact that this is a -EV game (like all dice games) and the House Edge will see that you end up losing... and has nothing to do with the game being "rigged" or not.

Besides, as already mentioned, the game is "provably fair". FJ can't manipulate the rolls any more than you can... the results of each roll are predetermined, they have no way to change this based on the size of your wagers.
4636  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Discloses Five Reported Vulnerabilities in Two Models of Trezor Hardware on: March 13, 2019, 07:20:42 AM
If this is true, this makes your hardware wallet essentially no better than an unprotected wallet stored on a USB drive.
That's somewhat hyperbolic... the equipment needed to achieve this isn't just a laptop with a USB port Tongue

It's not like someone can simply plug your Trezor in, download the contents and walk away... and apparently simply using a passphrase completely mitigates the attack anyway.

Since Ledger is in talks with the chip manufacturer (ST) at the moment, we will also refrain from divulging any critical information, save for the fact that this attack vector is also resource-intensive, requiring laboratory-level equipment for manipulations of the microchip as well as deep expertise in the subject.

“This is still under discussion with ST. Could you please avoid mentioning details about the attack?”
— Ledger
If you are a Trezor user and fear physical attacks against the device, we recommend setting up a passphrase-protected wallet, in the best case with multiple passphrases for plausible deniability. Passphrases will completely mitigate this attack vector.

All this does, along with Ledgers "security" issues, is really highlight that nothing is 100% secure... Wink
4637  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust abuser and fraudster IdiotCoder (may be a sold account) on: March 13, 2019, 07:07:14 AM
A SEPA Direct Debit transaction can be reversed up to 8 weeks after the date of direct debit. Reversing a payment is in most cases easy to do. There are quite a few banks that offer reversal without stating a reason through the online banking environment. This means that it can often be hard to discover the reason for reversal.
I did not know about SEPA being easily reversed, but i know for sure it's very-very difficult to reverse a wire transfer, and in most cases that person who received the money has to "agree" to that reverse.
A direct debit transaction is NOT the same thing as doing a bank transfer or wire transfer.

A direct debit requires pre-authorisation that you need to have already setup for a 3rd party to issue a debit transaction on your account... like your utility company, insurance company or other company where you need to make regular payments to.

This will then enable them to simple tell the bank "mikeywith" owes me $X dollars this month, authorisation ID is ABC123... bank then transfers $X automatically out of your account to the account of the company.

The reason for allowing reversals on direct debits is in the case of disputes with the company regarding charges etc.
4638  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Trying to restore Electrum balance on: March 13, 2019, 01:50:48 AM
Theoretically, that should work... if you select the BIP39 option and input the seed, you should get the "type of addresses" dialog... and be given the opportunity to select:

- Legacy
- p2sh-segwit (p2wpkh-p2sh)
- native segwit (p2wpkh)

4639  Economy / Reputation / Re: Got negative untrusted feedback on: March 13, 2019, 01:45:26 AM
I know his trust is not trusted but newbies who do not understand how this forum works may think I'm a scammer.
Most newbies don't even know how to click on "Trust" on a users profile to view their trust profile... let alone click on the "Show ratings" link under "Untrusted Feedback" to view that particular feedback... hence why scammers get away in the "early days" of their scam as only non-DT people are leaving trust feedback... And that is why users place such a huge emphasis on DT trust and appeal to DT members to tag scammers... because THAT shows up by default and is shown automatically.
4640  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why i got negative Trust ? on: March 13, 2019, 01:32:09 AM
Just realized that i got negative trust for some reason. I don't know the cause.
It seems fairly obvious why they tagged you:
Quote
Promotion of a scam project (Ethereum Classic Vision in this case) despite warning

It also seems that they have changed their feedback to neutral. However, I don't see how you're linked to the Ethereum Classic Vision project at all? Huh You don't appear to have posted in the thread that they referenced in their trust...

So, either they've tagged the wrong user... or they have included the wrong reference link on your trust rating.
