4641  Economy / Speculation / Re: Paypal allows crypto payment for all 29mil merchants on: March 31, 2021, 10:56:28 PM
Quite bullish news because they could have taken years to do the same and just play it safe.  The reaction in price is quite subdued is my take compared to the potential scale of various news like this.   We do have a rising dollar index at the present which I would guess does add pressure to all speculative assets and crypto is one of those surely, maybe its a slow vice effect and I'm counting too soon but anyhow I do see the Dollar as trend up while 92 or higher.
4642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: OSCARS 2021- Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 31, 2021, 02:50:46 PM
Anyone winning or not winning a film because of the amount of light their skin tone reflects is equally ridiculous to me, what category would that come under comedy perhaps.   I hope for a better basis to votes then nonsense tbh
Due to COVID cinemas here in France have been closed most of the year (and still are) so I've not seen most of the movies. In fact I've only seen Tenet and I'm pretty sure it will win something.

Closed down circumstances could aid some films that are not block busters.

Best film editing (no odds yet)
The Father

Best Adapted Screenplay
The Father 6

Been watching The Father, its not an easy film to have in this format.   It could win film editing as the cuts to display the malaise of the central character aid the story telling well.  Its a hard subject that faces us all and our relatives, the demographic of the oscar voters is invariably older then the average population because it can takes decades to earn an oscar; they could have sympathy to the films testimony.
Hard to judge if it wins, its as far away from a blockbuster as can get and most of the film is one or two rooms of a flat.   Theres no valid criticism, its all well done just a hard subject to portray on film.

Interesting contest worth taking part in, anyone know off hand how much it costs to transfer FUN out of Binance and send it to the Freebitco deposit wallet.   No reason not to register now though I might have to buy later on at some point rather then immediately.

Competition starts at 2021-03-31 0:00 AM and ends at 2021-04-05 11:59 PM (UTC).
note above says 5th March, this makes more sense but still pretty rapid vs how I normally trade.
4644  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are the fundamentals behind the conception: 1 BTC will worth USD 1 million? on: March 31, 2021, 01:19:30 PM
Turn that on its head and it makes more sense, a million dollars may be worth just a single bitcoin one day.  It can also be that dollars will not be exchanged for anything, they are just promises of value not an actual asset within themselves.   At present the system has turned to politics over trade and the chances of this outcome is increased.
The biggest change going forward is the dollar itself rather then the things it prices, we could view this transformation over a century or a decade but at some point it occurs in just years.
4645  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin will hit $60,000 today, what's next? on: March 30, 2021, 10:57:45 PM
Its all but hit 60k today, not quite but near enough that I'd consider about there.     Round numbers shouldnt matter but it does matter that its close to a repeat of what we've already done so really it needs to exceed that measure not to form any idea of a ceiling.   Its slightly lower then the last peak but I think its positively pushing higher so long as its closing above 57k, I'll watch that for an indication of direction after its hit the top area.
4646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 30, 2021, 07:34:38 PM
Izako Boars vs  Movistar Riders  should be a win for movistar but boars have a chance to push this to 3 maps perhaps and disrupt a mixed team while they are a Polish national team it has some advantage.   Stomp on awp is a player to watch in how effective he can be put to work, a match to watch for the prospects of both teams in future even if the result in this game is unlikely to favour the underdog though I was told to bet boars I didnt think I had enough to go on vs the more obvious result.
4647  Economy / Gambling / Re: $300 bitcointalk poker freeroll on Betnomi March 28th on: March 30, 2021, 12:25:36 AM
How I missed the tournament. I can't think how I would last in the tournament since I have some experience in playing poker on acewins so I might be holding maybe longer compared to you guys. Anyway, is there another tournament soon or not?. I would like to try to join the tournament if I have the chance on getting to. Congratulations to the winner. Ciao.

Heres the final run down of players and placement :

I believe it would take another round of games before such an opportunity would occur again, it has to be rated as pretty special to be allowed to enter a lower finals game like this for free.   I appreciate the opportunity.

The answer there is you are relying on Doge not Bitcoin not any of the proper mainstream blockchains.  The original developer for Doge left, they are a ship adrift last I read and maybe because they tumble on with some success now getting some attention but your luck in this current pricing requires some patience apparently.

Repeated from above:

There has been a long delay paying out final withdrawals for the same reason. Our Doge node crashed and required rebuilding. The latest update I have is that it has finally stopped crashing and is about 50% way through resynching the entire Doge blockchain.

Not sure anyone here has the best answer for you, maybe read some live threads on Doge sub reddit while you wait.   Its a very spammy blockchain isnt it, how massive must it be after all these years I wonder.
Im still a member after all these years of the main section but its full of nonsense, try this one perhaps :  https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoindev/
I can see one of the developers actively replying to threads recently so hopefully they are making progress and putting all that interest to good effect.  One of their long term devs is critically ill also unfortunately.

the closest I got

Closest I can remember getting is 3 nines but not the high 90's but low so not the biggest prizes.   On getting that close I dont expect to get to see a better repeat again, I've switched my hopes to the wheel of fortune spins.  Speaking of which I have 20 waiting for me from the last days Ive been too busy, might as well go use them up now.   Im superstitiously suspecting I may get better luck doing them one by one :p
4649  Economy / Economics / Re: I think I know who satoshi really is Am I Crazy? He He.... on: March 29, 2021, 10:57:33 PM
Steve jobs wasn't a technical mastermind in that way, also whoever Satoshi was had strong opinions on the correct structure to macro economics, global reserve currencies and other related topics.   I think that's fairly well established as true, also the timing to the start of Bitcoin matches the QE programs that occurred and have never stopped since.    We could conclude he is not Japanese from this perhaps as Japan already had QE for quite some time.
Obviously Steve Jobs awesome dude but in another way, I dont think he fits the profile.   I often thought Satoshi could also be a cover for more then one person and they shared a multi key between themselves hence why access to funds was not an issue as they never agreed collectively to move funds after BTC took off.
4650  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: March 29, 2021, 10:53:24 PM
Most people are investing in assets that are around them, family run business are a common investment and of course their own property is a large amount of cost and also worth to the average person.   Its hard to move much away from those main structures for the average person in percentage allocation but its alot easier now then previous decades to travel a distance away in some percentage way, unit trusts would be the best way usually.
4651  Economy / Speculation / Re: A 70% Drop May Occur after BTC Hitting Around $68,700 on: March 29, 2021, 10:48:15 PM
Someone I follow made a good point there is a gap at 54k from Fridays main market close.  What happens with gap in price often is the price action will retract to fill that gap and create some volume of bids and offers around that price and confirm we are correct to rise from there.   Like an air pocket till we fill that area it represents something of a weakness or soft spot, it doesnt have to fill up immediately especially if we are pushing ahead with momentum but eventually these areas will tend to be filled up.
4652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 29, 2021, 09:02:53 PM
A move to 10k could be viewed like folding steel, the hammer blows and continued process to test fully the pricing in such extreme ways and yet still resolve upwards afterwards is ironically a form of strengthening that likely allows such seemingly impossible heights to Bitcoin like 100k estimated for many years but dismissed by most until recently.
It can spike upto 100k tomorrow but we also know it would be weak once there and likely return again and possibly be damaged in that process.   A spike down to 10k would be extreme but is quite possibly accepted still as a good test in the way many things structurally must be overly tested.    Another note is not all prices are equal, a sharp move down to 10k and quick recovery is not as important as the headlines written might suggest.
4653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upcoming Market Prediction (Market heading for a great downfall) on: March 29, 2021, 08:35:51 PM
Bitcoin can float sideways almost indefinitely is what I've learnt previously, its not that beneficial to predict the demise of something in such rude health.     A normal correction only strengthens the case for further movement upwards after it has been resolved, most sells this year have sequentially resolved upwards.
I've been watching this line today at 57.5k, stronger volume on a move upwards and then we've held the price sideways.   The point to watch is the fast 12hr average catching up to price and then what occurs at that price, clearly speculators will evaporate if left out doing nothing for too long so to some extent decay and a cycle in price is natural hence moving averages are quite relevant on various time frames.
4654  Economy / Speculation / Re: The reasons why Bitcoin price drops recently on: March 29, 2021, 08:30:48 PM
More importantly the 3tn spent is actually 3tn borrowed, you cannot spend what you dont have so first the president or his administration must move to raise funds in order to spend it.   So the details are really relating to a weakening dollar and issuance of new currency once again, I dont see how that makes Bitcoin weaker in contrast even if spending is occuring its only via the good will of lenders.   Bitcoin isnt a leveraged or fractional currency and invariably looks better in contrast to weakening currency standards.
4655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ending the life - Gambling on: March 29, 2021, 07:55:36 PM
These are small amounts in the bigger picture and as a human you have infinite potential beyond estimation by anyone including yourself.    You should step back from trying to correct or punish yourself for a mistake, go in a new direction without regret because humans are never negative in sum total and you can be sure your evaluation of events is incorrect in this conclusion.
In short move on and I guarantee it will seem far smaller the further you move away.

Evil Geniuses vs Endpoint my favortie Evil Geniuses they the better Team.

Strange days we're living in, EP are nearly closing out the series with 2-0 win vs EG which is ever so slightly surprising.    I've placed a very late bet that somehow EG wake up from their trance mid game and can recover into 3 maps and maybe even a win.
Maybe the clue is the viewer figures, 8k watching this match vs 120k on the other ESL games being played at the same time.   Does this match not matter as much perhaps, I lost track and just presume its always taken seriously by the players but thats an assumption too far tbh.

Yep strange all over.  EP showed 3.3x odds while just 8 rounds off a series win, hedge wins.   massacre brief highlights

after Inception it went downhill

Inception did have a core story to it and also the amazing effects on top of that, effects are the icing on the cake.   Tenet has no hook to it to make me watch it especially, maybe I should be watching it drunk when it wouldnt count so significantly to my enjoyment.    That doesnt mean it cant win in its category on the techniques used but I think awards tend to have some bias into a story portraying a good overall effect created.
4658  Economy / Speculation / Re: 3 reasons why BTC will unlikely trade below $50,000 in the near term on: March 29, 2021, 12:05:12 PM
BTC found the 50 day, the monthly and weekly as support recently so near term its quite certain it's acting quite bullish in its price action.

See if price can establish above 57508 on 4hr bars, so long as DXY does not move upwards I guess BTC has finished its selling already.   Just meeting 50 day average was enough to end that period of selling, same as happened during January.
Longer term dollar index keeping above 92 makes me think we should be prepared for Bitcoin to face further headwinds as larger markets are still tightening against speculation and non yielding assets.

Same deal as lottery tickets, its a long shot for fun not any serious deal.    You arent quite 100% on this across the whole site, I would estimate if a person became an expert in some way on the sports and events betting and you seriously have a better estimation then the crowd then its not impossible you beat the average and return profits on such time invested.     Its still very tricky to rely on this in any serious way but some people have a gift in their judgement, many fail.

DOGE I was a miner long ago and its a testament to memes its carried on but I can well believe its got problems behind the scenes because when I stopped using it the protocol lacked a proper long term plan.   Proof of stake coins is what I thought would be the ones to survive most easily, they are barely known except maybe ETH finally tests this idea and we'll see after 7 years is it a good system alternative to proof of work factories and energy usage.   Beyond price, this will be something exciting in crypto I want to see transform.

4660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What age bracket is perfect for gambling on: March 28, 2021, 10:24:27 PM
Gambling is a game so its best reserved for those with time to game really, whichever age group that might be.   I even think some element of gambling can be educational, I studied probability as part of maths in school so its an ancient subject in that way.   But the main element alot of people dont have would be the time to play the games properly with proper consideration not just blind luck..
