It's been 2 months since any real changes were made.  No wonder the price and volume are about as lively as Joan Rivers.

That "last source commit" 22 days ago was just fixing a typo.   Cheesy

It is pretty evident you don't know how git works :-)

true or false what he says, a so aggressive behavior means FUD or frustration.

I don't think so. OP said he has a faster miner but didn't post it.

Two possible reasons for no AMD miner: not enough interest in the coin (bad) or there is already a private miner (worst).

An updated, clean block chain for fast start is available at: http://diamond.danbo.bg/downloads/dmdchain20140820-clean.zip (or .7z)

This block chain is what version 2.0.3.2 (or later) produces by default -- removing certain annoying bogus blocks that result in on disk block index corruption.

will the new wallet remove the bad blocks from an old blockchain? auto healing would be nice ;-)

amd was dead long ago, maybe the new amd cards can revive their(amd miners) situation

yes. Exciting times. Shift in mining landscape. No longer "everybody can be a miner" thing. Many months ago , any dude can just buy a gpu and mine any shit and be profitable. Even mining at multipool is very profitable at some point. I hope this shift will kill more than 50% gpu miner and multipool. Many AMD miner got their GPU since litecoin. It's time for them to shut down. Their mining season is over.

well, "everybody can mine" is supposed to be on any coin... otherwise they'll all go sha256d.

thanks danbi for the explanations.
i want to fully partecipate and not clog my nas at the same time, so I look forward a more optimised wallet in the future ;-)
as always I'm ready to make tests and whatever needed.

I mined a bit on coinspool pentablake just to have a look. No payments after 12 hours? Also no one mining there any longer...

The new wallet is taking 60-90% CPU on my nas with minting disabled, while it was talking 1-5% before.
That's how much it was taking with pos active on the old version.
Similarly, on my MAC I am seeing a hight memory usage ~430Mb! My other wallets only use ~ 200Mb. CPU is ~ 40-50% without minting.

Pallas, on what NAS OS did you install the wallet? I would be interested in doing the same.

here is a compiling guide:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.msg7297342#msg7297342

and here a static binary for arm:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.msg8008988;topicseen#msg8008988

hope that helps!

Finally reached 4MH/s again on AWS after the screwup causing massive stales (was getting 4.5MH/s before, but each batch of hashes were taking too long, causing the work to be stale by the time the GPU had completed it too often.) Also reached 4.5MH/s per stock 750Ti. Screenshot for AWS shows CPU + GPU speeds, CPU being around 300kh/s or so. Screenshot for the 750Ti cards shows a higher hashrate at the pool, no doubt caused by luck.

I modified the CPU sources a bit and I'm getting over 400Kh/s on g2.2 with 6 cores.

How many threads are launched per shader core? You mentioned that thread-concurrency is no longer used... but on 6xxx radeons that parameter is useful - maxing out at shaders*5
It seems by default when using simple myriad-groestl, your version is defaulting to shaders*2.

"thread concurrecy" is actually a buffer size, which is used only on scrypt, as far as I now.
surely not on groestl.

Attention Community,

After staking went active our wallet had some problems.  I had made some large purchases and withdrawls from Cryptsy that never showed up.  For like 3-4 weeks I would get the runaround about the wallet is being maintained and I should see my coins soon.  Well after the 4th week I was getting pissed.  I decided to search Google for any reference to a contact number for Cryptsy.  I found and called this number 888-963-9935.  When they answer (and sometimes they don't always) the announce themselves as "blah blah" investments.  I can't remember the beginning of their company name.  The eventual person that helped me was Paul (paul@cryptsy.com).  I was relentless and called once every 2 days until I was helped by Paul personally.  It is my impression that he is the head honcho.  Btw - they only work Mon - Fri.  This is an American company.  I am not sure on what time zone but I called on the EST.  I hope that helps you.

Pokeytex

did he fix your issue? did he update their wallet?
thanks for the info!

Price dropped like shit. The expected thing would be the sells to be larger after the release of the gpu miner, which clearly didn't happen.

Really? I never saw dropping price without sells larger than the buys. Thats fascinating.

and why should sells be larger? even if hashrate is higher, the number of generated coins is the same, just distributed differently on the miners.

cpu mining slower today, tried both wolf and yam.
is it something to do with the algorythm?
might that be the reason of lower hashrate?

EDIT: nevermind, apparently it was a problem with my pc (maybe a background process...)

We need AMD miner to spread hash.

But I hate OpenCL... well, writing it, at least. Sad

Why do you hate it, it's just C without pointers :-)

What? OpenCL has pointers...

You didn't answer the question :-)
