4641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Look at the fontal secret of the universe and life through Bitcoin on: September 17, 2021, 05:13:34 AM
What do you think?
People will choose bitcoin but more cryptocurrencies included, the world is complicated, what makes the world more complicated are humans, like see the case of El Salvador, some people supported bitcoin while some people did not, that is just humans for you. Some people will support fiat even as fiat are decreasing in value all the time while the government are manipulating the price towards price devaluation and some people are just ignorant and like the old things. What you are saying about bitcoin is right, more people will accept it, but there are many currencies that will be also existing in the future, centralized currencies will also be among because people like what is from the government, even when it has some disadvantages.
4642  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we see a future where Crypto would be globally accepted as a common means of on: September 17, 2021, 04:55:10 AM
Good day people,as a newbe and an enthusiast of bitcoin I wonder if we  can have a future where crypto currency would be accepted as a global means of financial exchange, considering current stands of some Government on it..
Even with the current stance of some government on cryptocurrencies, did you think it is now not the world means of making payment by people that knows about how to use it? With what I have thought before, anyone that can use cryptocurrencies can be able to use it, government can ban but cryptocurrencies are not centralised, this makes it hard for the government to control, no one can ban the cryptocurrencies in your noncustodial wallet. The rate many people are using it in the world has already makes it what you are asking about it. With time also more governments will support it.
4643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Thread creation way to support the forum. on: September 17, 2021, 04:47:47 AM
This forum has never before make it mandatory for people to create thread, this forum works good and active, it remain the best bitcoin forum with active thread creation.

So won’t you rather create a thread and make income for the forum as a way of your support to the growth of the forum?
If bitcointalk members are not creating thread at all, that would have been a different thing, but since I know this forum, there has been active new threads, some are good and remain on this forum while some are spam or plagiarism which are later deleted. This forum has never in the past lack new threads.

This can bring to the mind of new members to spam more all because they are thinking they are creating new threads while the more they are creating threads within short time will be making them to spam. One or two quality topics created by someone is better than many spam and plagiarised topics created.
4644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prayer and gambling. on: September 16, 2021, 06:49:41 AM
It depends on their belief and on our belief. If they think that it's going to help them, are we going to stop them? we just let them what they think is going to help them increase their chance of winning.
People believes in God but they should not think it is their God that will help when it comes to gambling, even some religions like the Muslims are against gambling while even many other religions that do not against it do not encourage it, gambling should not in any way be related to prayer because many people will be disappointed if they are expecting something good to come out. But I do not still believe some people can be praying all because they want to gamble, gambling is just for fun and not a way of making money or what someone should take serious.
4645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Book/Website Suggestions ? on: September 16, 2021, 06:43:11 AM
Do you guys own any good gambling books or know of any website where you can learn skills to play certain games like Blackjack, Poker etc?
What I know is that experience is very important while playing any type of game, it is good to just start gambling with low amount of money and play to have the experience. I do not know much about blackjack but I have experiences about football gambling which is my favorite type of bet, I noticed I started to check sites I can check the recent things about football and also making use of statistics and other events that has happened in the past. But with what I see about blackjack type of bet, I think this type of gambling should really be just for fun, winnings are not likely to be more than losses, but just use small amount of money to do the thing and enjoy blackjack as you play and never spend beyond your monthly budget, if you are, that is the beginning of addiction.
4646  Economy / Trading Discussion / 10x leverage above are simple ways the avarage are losing to the rich on: September 15, 2021, 08:16:04 AM
I have been trying to study the good effect of leverage trading but I have noticed it is a way traders can lose money in just a matter of minutes or hours or days. I do not know why the government have gone very strict about kyc but most governments do not consider mandating exchanges to reduce their leverage. On exchanges with high trading volume which also has many people with enough coins that is used for borrowing which traders use to leverage, the leverage can be up to 100x, I was shocked the first time I saw 125x leverage for bitcoin USDT future trading.

The higher traders leverage, the higher the risk of coin liquidation. When I used 10x leverage for small trading amount when bitcoin was at $46000, it was still above $40000 that my money will be liquidated if the price decrease. I tried $0.2 to trade 125x when bitcoin price was $46558, the liquidation price price was $46480 which bitcoin can drop to in just a minute and increase back but money will be liquidated, If I use bigger amount like $200 for it with the same leverage, the same time my money will be liquidated.

20x leverage is still better but the liquidation price will also near the present price when the trader open position, any of these coins should not have more than 20x leverage which is still highly risky, I tried 10x, it was still highly risky. 5x is still better but very risky, the best is to just go for 1x or 2x maximum.

Why are the governments are not taking this serious, the average people that have no enough money will leverage, the rich will not leverage or reduce the leverage to make the liquidation price far, the average will lose to rich traders. It will be good if exchanges are forced to reduce the leverage traders can use, 100x, 125x is too much, 99% of traders that are using it will lose.

4648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If an exchange can support lightning network what are wallets waiting for on: September 14, 2021, 08:46:34 PM
I tried to download a LN-supporting wallet once but I couldn't easily get it up and running. Preferred not to complicate stuff too much.
I'm afraid that's true. It's objectively hard for the average Joe to use the LN. The majority of the lightning wallets I've used aren't user-friendly. Always referring to the non-custodial ones.
Electrum is perfect for lightning network but technical to use, you can check Bluewallet and see how average Joe can use it. If exchanges can support it, it will be easy to use too as times goes.
4649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / If an exchange can support lightning network what are wallets waiting for on: September 14, 2021, 08:15:37 PM
Today has been the first day I saw an exchange to support lightning network, what are noncustodial wallet doing if they are not supporting it, there are still many noncustodial wallet that are not still supporting lightning network which makes payment faster and cheaper.

Quote
https://cointelegraph.com/news/p2p-exchange-paxful-integrates-lightning-network
Peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange Paxful has integrated Lightning Network into its platform, giving its 7 million users access to near-instant Bitcoin (BTC) transfers.

The new feature gives users the ability to send and receive BTC from their Paxful Wallet in a matter of seconds and with much lower fees than existing blockchain transactions, the company announced Tuesday.

Paxful co-founder and CEO Ray Youssef described Bitcoin as “the best financial option” but acknowledged that scalability issues could be hindering adoption. He said Lightning Network is Bitcoin’s greatest chance of achieving the scalability needed to make microtransactions a reality.

This is the first time I know about an exchange to support lightning network, bitcoin adoption is going higher. This is a custodial exchange, custodial exchanges can not give the privacy but people are using it and it is one of the ways bitcoin will have more adoption. I hope other noncustodial wallets will follow electrum and support lightning network so that people will use lightning network for payment and have privacy, but electrum is the noncustodial option we can go for now.
4650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concern about the the problem of online underaged gamblers. on: September 14, 2021, 08:29:20 AM
What are your thoughts?, What are the possible solutions to the problem of the rising number of online underaged gamblers?
Like in my country, the young children are exposed to gambling sites not only on phones but also on TV, like the DSTV and GOTV we watch in my country, you can be on a particular channel which will be advertising online betting platforms, children know more about the internet.

What to be done goes to the parent, everything about their children online activities must be monitored, they should not take this for granted. It also goes to betting agents, making sure the agents do not allow underaged.
4651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to trade properly for newbies on: September 14, 2021, 08:16:35 AM
3. Always set stop loss below 10% of the account
Stop loss is not necessary in all kinds of trading, it has advantage and it also has disadvantage.

4. Do not borrow, deposit too large (under 25X is safe)
Just use leverage instead of the word borrow for not to confuse people, 25x is also still too much, the lower the leverage will be the lower the risk of losing.
4652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Help to withdraw BSC from Exx on: September 14, 2021, 02:43:02 AM
It's caused by you're using BSC chain to transfer your BNB. You can convert it back easily by sending it to the BSC address and you can create BSC address by downloading trustwallet.
There is no need for trust wallet in this, binance support both binance chain and binance smart chain and the BNB on both exchanges support both. Alll you need to do is to send the coin directly on binance to Exx.

You can use the address that start from bnb which is the binance chain or use the address that start from 0x which is the BSC.

Trust wallet will make it complicated when you can send it directly from binance to Exx.

What could be the problem is either he did not send it to the correct address, or the fault is from Exx which is not new while using exchanges but the customer care should be the one to help if sent to the correct addres.
4653  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you can sell Bitcoin on Exchange with good rate, why selling to resellers on: September 14, 2021, 02:30:50 AM
So what did I say in my post? Buy only? Sell only? Both?
I am not saying that you are wrong, you are correct, but I just want to indicate that selling bitcoin can be most profitable on exchanges rather than resellers if not concerned about privacy. But with what you said, if it is buying, it is better to use reseller if the buyer is not trading and want to transfer the bitcoin to noncustodial wallet, but if the person is a constant trader and not making any trasfer than bitcoin to fiat and fiat to bitcoin, he can just make use of exchanges, but if he want to move his bitcoin to noncustodial wallet, he can use resellers which will be more profitable.
4654  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you can sell Bitcoin on Exchange with good rate, why selling to resellers on: September 14, 2021, 02:22:17 AM
You can buy or sell at better rate on Peer-to-peer marketplaces or in-person rather than on exchanges. On exchanges, you will have to be charged double fees
What OP is saying is different, OP is only talking about selling not buying and he is right.

You have in mind already that the coin that will be sent to you will be converted to fiat and you will spend it, you give the sender your binance bitcoin address, the sender send it to your binance account, you use p2p to trade it directly into fiat and into your bank account which is zero fee, I am very sure that everything is zero fee.

Let me use USDT for this example and relate it to bitcoin.
If you use a reseller, bitcoin can worth $500, but if you us exchanges like binance, you will exchange it at $550. Can you see the huge difference, the seller would have gained more if used exchange directly.

What I just think about this is that some people are newbies and do not know that they are losing, while some people just like to stay anonymous.
4655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Help to withdraw BSC from Exx on: September 13, 2021, 11:13:31 AM
Is it really a scam though?
The best is to take them to their social media handle and post about how they scammed you, this will be the best to do. When last have you contacted their customer care?

I can see that they support binance chain and binance smart chain for binance coin, the deposit supposed to go through if not scam. Also have you checked the address very well and you are sure it correspond to your Exx destination address?
4656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Help to withdraw BSC from Exx on: September 12, 2021, 05:47:10 PM
Can you tell us the Exx exchange site you visited? Is it https://www.exx.com/ ?

Some people can make the mistake of visiting a cloned but fake site which belongs to scamu. Is the site the same as above one?
4657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Help to withdraw BSC from Exx on: September 12, 2021, 02:52:21 PM
It is not hard

BNB addresses start from BNB
BSC start from 0x

You can use both to deposit or withdraw if both exchanges support it.

If one is giving you error, then try the other for the withdraw, but I do not think one should give you error, try to check if withdrawal is not under maintenance which could be the reason.
4658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 12, 2021, 12:04:23 PM
I am as surprised as you are. No good soccer analyst will refer to Leeds as weak. Leeds are fighters, goal getting team. Infact they contest possession with every team they played against. Assuming it was Leeds that played City this week, they would have gotten a goal. He can accuse Leeds of every damn thing, but not as weakness.
Leeds are not that week team, they are also still strong at some extent, that is why the club is even among the EPL clubs, also strong to some extent in the EPL, but there are some clubs that Leeds will really find it difficult and such club will played them in and out in a way they will be exhausted and more goals will be scored. With Liverpool more chance is that Leeds might lose today because the chance to win is very small while the chances that Liverpool will win is high, though it away match for Liverpool.

Link to my Medium article

Definition 6
Bitcoin is a blockchain
You have a very good article about bitcoin, every of your write ups are correct, but you can edit this part that I quote above, bitcoin is not blockchain, but your content about it that the existence of bitcoin result to the existence of blockchain is correct because blockchain was created by the creator of bitcoin which is Satoshi Nakamoto, but you can explain that after just indicating that bitcoin is stored on blockchain rather than bitcoin is blockchain, this will make it more accurate.
4660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Uk most deprived areas have the Highest number of gambling outlets. on: September 12, 2021, 11:15:56 AM
Gambling can never be a form of earning. It can be treated as a form of entertainment or socializing, but never as a job or career.
When I was reading what can lead to gambling addiction, one of the reasons is because addicts do not have a good source of income while some is as a result of seeing gambling as an alternative ways or even the main way to earn money, but this is wrong, gambling should just be for the fun of it as we always say on this forum.

Gambling responsibly, in my opinion is the duty of the gambler. It is not right to blame the casino for that. For every gambler who gets addicted and play irresponsibly, there will be 20 others who will be doing that in a responsible manner.
According to an article I read a long time ago in 2019, I read out of 100% of people that are gambling, that 20% are likely to be addicted, which means 1:5 as against to 1:20.

Because the reach people have good source of earning, they do not rely on gambling at all not to talk of getting addicted if compared to average people.
