4641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian banks freezing bank accounts AGAIN ! on: August 13, 2020, 02:38:39 PM
Indian Government have no such restrictions against cryptocurrencies but these Indian banks always have a grudge against bitcoin.
Even though the Government has not passed any law to freeze the bank accounts of crypto holders, the bank freeze their accounts.
Personally I have been trading crypto for years now but I have not encountered any such incident so far.
So I think the banks only freezes the accounts of suspicious users and not all crypto holders.
4642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia legalizing Bitcoin and cryptos but not allowed as payment method? on: August 13, 2020, 02:30:34 PM
So Russia is accepting bitcoin but not as payment method but as a trading asset.
On top of that we don't know how Russia will tax the crypto earnings from trading.
Bitcoin is becoming more of a speculative asset than what it is meant for i.e a payment method.
If all the countries start treating bitcoin as an asset and don't accept it as a payment method then I am afraid Satoshi's vision will be vanished.
4643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the need to increase BTC's max supply arise in the future? on: August 09, 2020, 02:43:12 PM
Well I don't think that the supply of bitcoin will ever be increased since Satoshis itself can be used for payments.
But yeah I do think that when all the bitcoins will be mined the transaction fees will increase a lot.
I think miners would not validate transactions with low fees and the network would get congested and hence we will have to pay the higher transaction fees. I think that the lightning network would be used for regular payments and only large transactions would be done with bitcoin directly.
4644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 900,000 illegal bitcoins. on: August 09, 2020, 02:24:50 PM
And who says that these numbers are correct. It might happen that these numbers are wrong and may be the number is even higher.
We can't even say that the bitcoins we hold in our wallets have come from a good source.
May be somebody would have used it for illegal activities but bud that doesn't make a difference.
Even fiat money would have been used for criminal activities and then used by us but money is money.
So in the same way bitcoins are bitcoins and there's no such thing as illegal bitcoin.
4645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Profitable days of holding bitcoin percentage (98.5%) on: August 09, 2020, 02:07:06 PM
The thing is that it is quite difficult to predict bitcoin's price accurately continuously. This is why many people in crypto market face losses.
There are some traders who do make good profits so I wouldn't say one is better than the other between holding and trading.
Both have their own pros n coins. I do swing trading sometimes but at the end it's holding that I would prefer.
The sudden pumps in bitcoin are what turns our portfolio upwards.
4646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stock/Forex Trader and Cryptocurrency Trader on: August 08, 2020, 08:19:45 AM
I do swing trading and I know that there are many traders who have lost money trading cryptocurrencies.
Crypto trading is highly volatile and unpredictable which makes it difficult for stock traders to adjust to it and hence they lose their money.
I started trading with cryptocurrencies and then moved towards stock which made it easy for me to understand both the markets.
I did lose money in the beginning of crypto trading but I have covered all my losses and I am exploring the stock market these days.
Both of them have their differences and similarities. I think crypto market is better than stock since it runs 24x7 and doesn't restrict anybody from trading.
4647  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turnover verification on: August 08, 2020, 08:13:50 AM
I am sorry for your loss but your money is gone.
Such schemes are a definite scam that people need to understand. Please guys don't fall for such money making schemes.
If someone is asking you to make a deposit to receive a bigger amount then you can blindly conclude it as a scam.
Just walk away from such schemes or else you will lose all your money.
4648  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic things that you need to know before starting in trading on: August 08, 2020, 08:09:18 AM
Whatsup with the large font. You could made the post with normal font size and it would have received the same response as it is now.

Patience is the key to trading profitably. Many people tend to make the mistake of trading in a panic and as per my experience panic trading always results in a loss.  A good strategy has to be planned first and then executed accordingly by placing the targets right.
A successful trader can make profits in any market provided his strategies are right.
We often buy/sell at the wrong time and then blame ourselves or the market for the loss.
So it's quite obvious that if we don't follow our strategy then we are about to lose our money.
4649  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop-lose any recommend? on: August 08, 2020, 07:40:12 AM
Stop loss is a great tool to limit the losses in your trade. It helps us to minimize the losses to a great extent.
But we must know how to use it the right way or else we will be facing huge losses.
If you are facing continuous loss by using stop loss then you must be doing it wrongly.
I generally use a 1:2 risk to reward ratio and adjust my stop loss order accordingly.

4650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trade & investment is getting harder and harder. on: August 08, 2020, 07:15:36 AM
It would be really difficult to answer your query since you have not mentioned how you are losing money trading.
Profit and loss are a part of trading and it is natural to lose sometimes. But if you are constantly losing then there is something that is not right with your trading strategy. You should change your strategy whenever it is not making you any money.
Tough the market condition was not so good earlier these days it is getting better.
If you focus on your strategy well then I am sure you will definitely make profits.
4651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason hunters dump reward as soon as received. Trust Exchange etc on: August 07, 2020, 04:16:05 PM
It has become a norm that the bounty tokens are bound to be dumped as soon as it's launched on an exchange.
This has become one of the major reasons why bounty hunters dump their tokens as soon as they receive it and the coin is listed on the exchange.
They want to exit by taking the maximum profit.
4652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm dumping my coins because.. on: August 07, 2020, 04:02:34 PM
Even I had dumped my coins recently. I had bought some coins a few years ago and I had planned to hold it for long term but recently I sold it to buy more potential coins and hold them for a long term. The upcoming ETH 2.0 upgrade is quite fascinating for me and I wanted to take part in the PoS so I bought few ether from the dumped coins. I hope my decision would benefit me in the long run.
4653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attention for bounty work on: August 07, 2020, 03:55:52 PM
These days there aren't much bounties which are genuine which is why the scamming rate has increased a lot especially the one with bounties.
Only if you are damn sure that it's a genuine bounty project with good potential then you must consider joining the bounty program else it's just a waste of time to be honest. I know there are many people here who manage their expenses from the earnings of bounty programs.
And falling prey to a scam bounty program would be more worse. But it's time to realize that the bounty days are gone or will soon be gone.
4654  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] - How to use different order types. on: August 07, 2020, 03:08:55 PM
That's a solid guide to the type of orders for trading. I would recommend beginners to know about all of these but just start with the basics.
Starting to learn to how to trade and focusing the below three type of orders will give beginners a good understanding of how trading works.

Market order
Limit order
Stoploss order

The rest are for advanced traders who always keep an eye on the market. Advanced traders already know what they are doing.
4655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain/Crypto roles on: August 06, 2020, 03:31:57 PM
I guess that would be a huge list of roles that people are in who are involved in crypto.
I am an IT guy and I have many friends from different roles who are involved in crypto.
Some are business men, few are retail shopkeepers, civil engineers, programmers, students etc..
I have friends in all these categories who are involved in crypto.
I am sure there are much more than these in the actual world who would be involved in crypto.
4656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 US Congressman wrote to IRS to ease tax on POS rewards on: August 06, 2020, 03:22:51 PM
That seems like a good news as it brings in more involvement of the US government towards cryptocurrencies.
This will benefit big investors who always wants to save tax and may be this will encourage them more to invest in PoS coins.
If so then this will benefit ethereum a lot since it is soon going to be migrated into the Proof of Stake algorithm.
4657  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Google Advertises Uniswap Phishing Scams on: August 06, 2020, 03:15:38 PM
The thing is that the google algorithm is not yet so optimized that it can detect and remove these malicious phishing ads quickly.
Google still depends on us to report the ads so that they can use that information to create a filter and allow only genuine ads on it's platform.
So it is our responsibility to be aware of such phishing ads. Besides that we should only be clicking on the links we want to visit on the internet.
Just entering any site can really be dangerous sometimes.
4658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter Hackers Arrested! [Updated] on: August 04, 2020, 03:17:14 PM
I have heard quite a few times that in such cases where big companies get hacked they find the hacker and when he is about to go to jail the company hires them as their cybersecurity employee. What do you guys think ? Will these guys get a job at Twitter too ?  Grin
4659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan's Dormant accounts waking up finally on: August 04, 2020, 03:13:34 PM
That's quite interesting and I think it will surely affect the price of bitcoin in one way or the other.
If people are going long for bitcoin then BTC can increase in the upcoming months.
It might also go the other way around if people have come back to sell their bitcoins  Undecided
I really think it's gonna go positive this time for bitcoin.
4660  Local / India / Re: Can increase in Gold's volatility benefit bitcoin ? on: August 04, 2020, 02:58:40 PM

PS: @OP, did you ask this question from the point of view of Indian market? Otherwise, I don't see any reason why you posted this thread in 'India' section instead of 'Economics' section.
No such reasons though. I just wanted to know us Indians look at cryptocurrency when compared to Gold.
Found some good views on both of them.
Sometimes I just post in India board just to engage in discussion with my Indian Crypto fellow mates.  Smiley
