4641  Economy / Services / Re: Want a sexy story personalized just for you? I'm your girl! on: December 05, 2018, 07:08:25 PM
And as fact .25$/word is quite a lot. Not even a professional writer doesn't get so much.

I had so much fun reading this thread

Oh, man. Why do you want someone to write stories for you if you don't possess the necessary reading skills? You're gonna be wasting money on her.
It's not .25$!

Quote
My rates are $0.025 per word.

There's nothing wrong with erotic literature, though I still contend that it's an outdated mode of one-handed entertainment.

I can assure you that videos aren't taking over books. The written word is giving people something that movies will never be able to, which is the ability to fill the blanks with your own images.
4642  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-30] The US Government Is Powerless to Block Bitcoin Addresses on: December 02, 2018, 09:59:29 PM
You're right, although I think that there will be ways to counter tainting. Some people will think of a way to help people whose coins got targeted and offer services of accepting their tainted coins and turning them into fiat for a fee or there will be new, better ways of mixing that will make it harder to find specific coins and taint them.
If they can make it too time consuming for the authorities they'll win. It's like the fight with cannabis growers. They were trying to stop people from selling, it didn't work so now they're handing out licenses.
4643  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-29] Bitcoin Price Could Bottom as Early as December [But Definitely by on: December 02, 2018, 09:49:48 PM
A potential bottom target, according to Puell, is $2,800, which would signify an 85 percent drop from its all-time high price at $19,500.

How can we trust this, really?
His top is at 19,500, Bitstamp's top is at 19,666, Bitfinex's top is at 19,891. My question is, where is the bottom of this 85% correction? 2800? 2900? 2850? It all depends on what chart are you looking at. We don't even know if it will correct 85%. There's nothing significant in 85% that would make the price stop exactly at that point. We could as well go to 90 and 90 at Bitfinex would still be higher than 90 on Bitstamp Cheesy
4644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding EOS? on: December 02, 2018, 09:25:53 PM
I have both EOS and ETH. People believe that EOS could be the next ETH and get same value and popularity increase as ETH did after split. ETH is holding really well with Vitalik working on upgrades all the time, but who knows, maybe one day he'll give up and EOS pumps, or he makes such an innovative move with ETH that people will forget about EOS and go back to the source? Both coins are nice to have.
4645  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL'ers lose. That is no surprise on: December 02, 2018, 09:07:52 PM
Is it worth reading this thread? HODLers don't lose until they sell, and by definition, they probably won't do that for another couple of years. In a couple of years Bitcoin will be worth considerably more than the current under-value. Well that's my opinion anyway.
One Bitcoin is still one Bitcoin! If you value your fiat, get out, or keep watching the fiat value getting lower and cry for it every day, because that's what you came here for. Not for the technology, not for the long term investment.
Long term thinking and seeing the big picture is what matters. Most people can't do it and never will, that's why most people are poor.
4646  Economy / Economics / Re: The market is looking healthy and greener all over again on: December 02, 2018, 08:33:56 PM
There's not much space to keep falling. Previously Bitcoin bear markets were ending after correcting close to 80% and people are waiting for 3000. I think that we won't get to see it. It would be too easy and everyone would get rich. In these markets there's always only avery small number of people who are right and make money. The market has to keep surprising. We will either go up from 4000 or go down to 1000 or less Cheesy
4647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SV? on: December 02, 2018, 08:07:32 PM
SV drained itself trying to win the war with ABC and it lost. Some people still believe that Craig is Satoshi and that one day he'll prove it and the value of SV will increase. Some were hoping that SV will take over ABC and become the better BCH. SV is worth half of what people are paying for ABC so it can still have potential but both BCH versions are not worth the risk. I wouldn't buy them.
4648  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Buy the dip" is only a strategy for losers on: December 02, 2018, 07:53:20 PM
"Buy the dip" is something only fools believe - and as can be seen in here there are unfortunately many fools in here who do not understand that their money is already lost

Why are you so angry? New investors aren't fools. The fools with 0 understanding will get shaken out by the bear market and smart money will be waiting for their coins. Fools are and always will be buying at the top. It doesn't matter if the top is 1000 or 1 million. You will always find these people who buy high and sell low. You can also find smart people at different prices and different stages of crypto development.
4649  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-30] The US Government Is Powerless to Block Bitcoin Addresses on: December 02, 2018, 07:49:24 PM
so, lets say they blocked a specific bitcoin address
lets say they know that the coins from a particular address are tainted
where is this mechanism to prevent someone to send coins or convert them to fiat? well, other than forcing exchanges like Coinbase to freeze the coins
but once the first seizure is public, people would simply avoid the said exchange(s), not like they do not do it already
if it cannot be enforced , why bother?

They're doing it to at least make it hard for these people to convert. I agree that it's stupid. They can send Bitcoins abroad, turn them to Euros in some exchange in Germany or France and take fiat to a bank that will exchange it to USD if that's what they want. All exchanges will never agree to taint coins. There will be new services that will offer to mix your coins and remove the taint. Demand creates opportunities.
4650  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happened to Lutpin? on: December 02, 2018, 07:40:26 PM
I saw that he was online a few times and didn't post anything, so he clearly had access to his account and to the Internet. It takes less than 10 seconds to write "I'm terribly sorry for the delay, I got some issues, will explain on the (date)", especially when you're already logged in, like he was. He didn't do it = he doesn't care.
You missed previous post on this thread where Lutpin message was quoted. I'll just quote it again for you:
I'm preparing payments to make up for the missed rounds.
They'll be sent out tomorrow morning.

After that, the campaign will switch from bi-weekly payments to monthly rounds,
but more about that once the payments have been made.

I'll also talk to bitblender about whether, and if how, to transfer the campaign.

And you missed the point of my post and this thread.
I was talking about the time before he came back. About those weeks when he was ignoring people and not paying them (before november 27) and he was logging in and not posting anything. I also didn't see anything close to "I'm sorry" in his post.
4651  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-11-28] Back Over $4K: Bitcoin’s Price Bounce is Gathering Pace on: December 01, 2018, 10:42:58 PM
Seems like $4,000 becomes a new floor, we'll likely to see another few months of stagnation and then the price will move again - either a new drop to $3k or a rise to $5k. But this all doesn't matter in longer run, sooner or later the bear market will end and the new bull cycle will start. Now is a very good time to start accumulating coins for the next run.

Of course. We wouldn't even be talking about a possibility of 3000 if there was no hash wars at BCH followed by a postponed bakkt launch. Bitcoin doesn't go down without anything happening in the scene. The last 2 months were rather calm with only ETFs getting rejected. We needed something to happen for the price to start moving again and it did. In the long run those who buy now will profit.
4652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: first term "HODL" on: December 01, 2018, 10:38:19 PM
What you wrote here is like small concept of financial literacy which includes cryptocurrency trading. Holding lifetime is not way to trade colatile assets like bitcoin, penny stocks and other volatile financial assets. There different type of profitable strategies that can reverse the losses to winnings. Average price is key if trader wants to take advantage of price action which makes  volatile up/down movements on market depth.

Not all of us are traders and not all of us look at Bitcoin as tradable asset. Some of us earned it. Some of us got it as a gift from someone. Some got it from faucets or mined it and will never trade it. Some of us don't like and don't trust exchanges. Hodling was proven to work and is a viable choice for Bitcoin owners.
4653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto P2P new post on: December 01, 2018, 10:27:02 PM

Im pretty sure that he is trolling so you are definitely biting the bait.

You are probably right.

On a serious note, Craig Wright has only a certain margin to annoy actual Bitcoin with his games. Fiat price falls are tolerated because it doesn't matter in the long term, however decreasing the security of the Bitcoin network is not welcome. Nothing in life comes for free. If these forking guys think they can crash the hashrate without no consequences then they are deluded and someone will prove this point eventually.

But in any case Craig Wright has already accepted defeat, he said there wouldn't be a split, and there was a split, he failed. In return, Roger Ver proved the ABC side is also centralized by arbitrarily adding checkpoints.

The end result is always the same: Bitcoin wins and scammers go bankrupt.

Usually in a split the losers implement replay protection and Craig did it first. The price also says a lot about his coin. It's trading for 50% of BCH price. There's still a chance for SV buyers to make some money. If Bitcoin goes up in value it will take even the most worthless forks up with it.
4654  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-01] Bitcoin Price Falls Under $4,000: Was Immediate Pullback Expected on: December 01, 2018, 10:13:38 PM
I don't know about bear traps and bull traps in the short-sighted time frame we're talking about here. I mean, every time Bitcoin's tried to come up, isn't profit taking the natural things to do for speculators? We're talking about the last week where we saw 10%, 15% gains in a few hours. Don't tell me scalpers don't set their Take Profits at those values? Or even the very logical $4k barrier?

It's not the big picture still.

But isn't profit taking also natural for speculators when Bitcoin is going up? Traders are only a small group within the Bitcoin community. Some people treat it as a long-term investment and some build their businesses around it. The story that that Bitcoin will keep going down because traders will continue to take profits at every bounce just doesn't add up. It will keep happening until it stops and those who were counting on it get fucked.
4655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I may be wrong, thinking about the gov intervention on: November 30, 2018, 09:40:19 PM
What government do you mean? World?)
There are many big players that manipulate the market. They are forming the trend line and maybe even have the same interests.

That was also the first thing that came to my mind. There's no world government and if a single government is buying then what? There are many governments that are very supportive and politicians who said that they own cryptocurrencies. Id wouldn't come as a surprise if some countries were buying to have it as a reserve currency. If we assume that 1 Bitcoin can one day be worth more than 100 thousand dollars it's a worthy investment, especially for a small country like Malta.
4656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This year proved it There is no Crypto Expert! on: November 30, 2018, 09:34:23 PM
There are experts and there are manipulators. Experts predict the future by looking at fundamentals of a currency. They know that it's great and that it should succeed and be worth a lot of money but they don't know when it will happen. There are so many things that influence the price and the timeframe is big. We're not talking about weeks or months. It's years.
4657  Economy / Services / Re: I offer my signature for rent on: November 30, 2018, 09:24:20 PM
I doubt rank matters much above Full Member when you're a trusted person/Staff member (Which is the case here.) Businesses who want to boost their reputation a bit are more than willing to pay such amounts, i'm sure.

Quote
Since you're only a Sr. Member, it's going to be tough to get $100/month.
Depends. Chipmixer's campaign/BitBlender both offer more than that. (These are just two that i was able to come up with out the top of my head, i'm sure there are more.)

Because it doesn't matter. Senior, Hero and Legendary signatures don't differ much and offer the same visibility in threads. Being a staff member is like a premium because people tend to read things posted by you and focus more on the signature and avatar than if you're a normal member.
Of course there are many campaigns that pay more than 100 to Sr members. Yolodice pays $200 per month (if we count Bitcoin at 5000 USD).

I'm not certain which rules you find difficult to follow; but to each their own.

Maybe he wasn't comfortable with this part:

Quote
I can remove you from the Campaign at any time, for whatever reason

I sure wouldn't be.
4658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open your eyes! on: November 30, 2018, 07:13:25 PM
This is the issue, someone is creating a FUD for the whole community, and this has led to market heavy sell off, allowing the rich and the banks to fill their bags. I just hope big holders don't eventually start deciding things in the future as per the market.

It's all well calculated. If you were launching a big exchange like BAKKT or an ETF that you knew is going to get approved, wouldn't you try lowering the price to get some cheap coins before the rush begins? A bear market gives these people a golden opportunity because it's very easy to manipulate scared investors. You can delay this or announce that your company is against Bitcoin and hope that the market will react.
4659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not intended to be a stock. Blockchain has nothing to do with price on: November 30, 2018, 06:53:29 PM
But it has value. Should we ignore it and move on? If something exists we have to take it into consideration. Like when you write program and people value it at 10000 USD, will you ignore it because your car has nothing to do with price? One day you will need money and will need to sell it. Many of us hold Bitcoins because we don't agree with its price and think that it should be much higher, but we don't ignore it. We measure and value it and price is a good unit of measurement.
4660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Matched betting (risk free) with bitcoins? on: November 30, 2018, 06:40:36 PM
Only applied for people like you who don't care about your own reputation. I clearly mentioned that other casino will blacklist you as well if you're found out cheating in a casino and i'm sure it affect your gambling life as well since there's less casino you could enter.

There's so many casinos out there that eventually getting banned from one of them leaves me with more than 50 other verified sites to choose from. It's surely worth the risk by my standards. Also, if you're a gambler with a reputation, meaning that you're well known and take part in tournaments, you won't waste time trying to cheat. You'll have enough of your own money to play with.
