4661  Economy / Reputation / Re: Wrong accusation by bob123 on: August 14, 2020, 11:30:02 AM
I pm bob123 and told him i will pay for the remove negative and he dont reply
Wrong move. If you offer a user payment to remove a negative trust from your profile, that act on it's own is worth a red tag, and since you want to settle by payment, does it mean you're guilty?
4662  Other / Politics & Society / Re: -LET THE NEXT PANDEMIC BE LOVE- on: August 14, 2020, 10:04:19 AM
So much has hit/burdened the world of late
+ Beirut explosion
+ Police brutality
+ Terrorism
+ Religious clashes -this is happening in West Africa ATM-
+ Disregard/uncaring of human life for gain
+ Slandering/segregation/racism/stigmatisation
All this have been with the world from the beginning of times, think of those born in the early 20th century (1900-1950) and witnessed two world wars (1914-1918 and 1945-1948) they experienced far worse than now, it is what it is, some things as just inevitable.
I can only pray/hope and wish that -THE NEXT PANDEMIC BE LOVE-  a pandemic that should never have a vaccine/cure or treatment, the world need some good measure of it.
Peace cannot reign in every parts of the world, you see the U.S. and China going at each other, trade sanctions, Revolutions, Terrorism, etc, only in an Utopia world will all these be absent, and our world is not one.
4663  Economy / Economics / Re: PayPal/Venmo are going to become bitcoin vendors? on: August 14, 2020, 09:41:02 AM
Curious to hear the community's opinion about this.
If not for anything, for adoption it's a good news; quite a lot of users will prolly not buy via payPal if and when it's up and running, some users aren't even comfortable using centralized exchanges and this service is going to be as centralized as it goes, with KYC and all, Tx fees is also another clog.

Just like the news about MicroStrategy the other day, what I like about this is the mainstream growth, places to purchase bitcoin increasing and firms taking U turns to accept bitcoin; every service cannot be comfortable for all, there are still quite a lot of users that will use PayPal for this as it's in their comfort zone, adoption increases as well and all that is great.
4664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and ETH on their 2 years high on: August 14, 2020, 06:08:37 AM
This is wrong. BTC reached $12K twice this month. Check CMC historical data https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/historical-data/
Op missed when btc reached 12k last week IIRC, I think it's cause it had a short stint in that price, which makes me believe 12k may be the resistance for now. From my speculations though, btc will break the 12k resistance price and move to around 15k before the end of the year, and 2021 holds quite a lot in stall for us.
There are opinions that the new money flowing into bitcoin is coming from the stimulus packages and that may be true. Some say people are choosing bitcoin and gold as 'safe haven'.
I don't agree when people say it's the stimulus bonuses, and citizens are using it to buy bitcoins, I can't know for sure how much of those packages flowed into the bitcoin market, but I'm sure a large chunk of it entered into the food markets. People are choosing bitcoin to evade inflation and devaluation, I think that's the case imo, you heard the news about MicroStrategy firm? The government is printing money left, right and center, there's the possibility of an inflation coming, and with the recession due to corona virus, people are fleeing to bitcoin to retain value of their asset

4666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is FORSAGE a Ponzi scheme? on: August 13, 2020, 09:40:18 PM
Is FORSAGE a Ponzi scheme? Buying ethereum to keep and buying ethereum to invest in forsage, which is better?
There are already quite a lot of warning threads about forsage ponzi on the forum, it's a scam, when you buy ethereum and store them in your wallet, you have your keys and if you do not give it to scammers, your eth is safe with you and you can make ROI as eth rises. But investing in forsage ponzi is too risky, I know their investment offer sounds good especially for a newbie, but if it's too good to be true, it's a scam. Forsage is a clear ponzi, don't give your coins/keys/control to any platform.
4667  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is merit and why do some people have up to thousands? on: August 13, 2020, 07:54:24 PM
I guess I am of those profiles!;P
With close to 4000 merits, you definitely are one of the profiles op is referring to.
The merit score of your profile will tell us how good the poster you are, how faithful you are.
Concerning the quote above, it's not something you can deduce instantly by the merits the profile has. You have to consider that at the time when merits was introduced in January 2018, merits were airdropped to users only on their activity then, not quality (bear in mind that, some of those users have not earned any after that). Accounts also change hands sometimes; users farm accounts to high ranks to sell them to others who may/may not be quality posters. That being said, other than this, merit score can be used to come to your conclusion above 99% out of 100.
4668  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [POEM] Protest against scammers. on: August 12, 2020, 09:45:34 PM
Keep it up buddy, I was previously confused on the difference between peotry and peom as I was confused on what you do but just research and added to knowledge.
I've taken a course on poetry, so let me just add a little input on this; there are three genres of literature: Drama, Prose and Poetry. Poetry is that genre written in verse (which is a line of a poem) and stanza's (which are like paragraphs). So poems are works of literature written under this genre (poetry) in the above pattern, while poets are individuals who write poems. It's not always easy to unravel a meaning embedded in a poem cause it has a lot to do with the poets thought, emotions and feelings as well.

IIRC, op this is your second poem, I enjoyed the first one more, but you still did a good job in this one. You're creative in using events in the crypto market to write a poem, keep it up mate.
4669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 12, 2020, 06:30:07 PM
It will be City because they are punished from Champions league next year and even year after that so if they want to win the champions league now they have to work very hard for it, otherwise they will need to wait at least 2 years to even compete let alone win.
@Captain Corporate, it seems you missed the verdict on City's champions league ban, it has long be overturned and what that means is city is eligible for next seasons champions league, and the next one, if they qualify through any of the means available.
What do you guys think of Neymar anytime to score at 1.88.  Still value?  It was at 2.15ish a few days ago.
@1.88, it's a good odd, Neymar isn't the most prolific goal scorer, but the odds is good especially for a player in charge of Psg's set pieces, so if a goal doesn't come from open play, he can also score freekicks and any penalty is his to take.
4670  Economy / Economics / Re: Universal Basic Income: Ideas on how to make it work? on: August 12, 2020, 04:58:04 PM
The major challenge to this is the wealth of a particular nation, how buoyant their economy is and how low their level of unemployment is. UBI is a good initiative, but in a struggling country/third word country it'll be impossible to achieve, a country still struggling with an impoverished economy and writhing debts cannot undertake this program.

A country with a high unemployment rate will also struggle, you'll expect the nation to channel much of their funds into creating more jobs for it's citizens, as that will give them a stable income, rather than paying them a little amount that can hardly meet their needs. There is also the problem of creating inflation by printing more money to fulfil this program, that being said, I'd only expect this sort of program to be possible in first world countries.
4671  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: August 12, 2020, 09:10:49 AM
I'd be vary of such orgs coming into btc trading... Sorta defeats the purpose of it surviving as a currency and only as a trading mechanism; which is not what it should primarily be.
Wary you mean? The bitcoin network actually needs companies like MicroStrategy and even bigger ones to join the network, I don't see any cons in it, it appreciates adoption and encourages other establishments to also come in. Btc's purpose btw isn't to survive as a currency, and I don't think it matters at all what people or establishments do with btc when they buy it. That being said, if bitcoin is to serve as more of a currency like you said, more adoption is of course needed and that can only come with more of this kind of news.
4672  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just hit Legendary. Great achievement to me. Long path. :) on: August 12, 2020, 08:49:09 AM
Congratulations legendary bitmover (btw does it mean bitcoin mover, lol) on your great achievement, definitely wouldn't have been possible if you were not contributing HQ stuff, so enjoy the moment mate.
I think Mythical would be sound great like in Mobile legend.
Lol, doesn't sound bad at all, cryptoaddictchie I see you're also among those next in line to be legendary, so congrats in advance Cool
4673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can we protect Crypto Ecosystem on: August 12, 2020, 08:15:04 AM
what can you do to safeguard  this Ecosystem?
This has been asked many times already; you cannot protect others in the bitcoin network, that is one risk concern people have, the day you decide to buy btc, you take up the responsibility to protect yourself and your asset, what that means by extension is you taking up the responsibility of being your own bank, learning the best wallets to use in storing your coins, and understanding how scammers can target you, to steal your funds, and a lot of other things.

That being said, that effort in safety and protection can only be done individually, your action can't protect everyone in the system, the best you can do is just to educate the people around/in your community who are new to the bitcoin market, and even after that it falls back into their hands, cause they could still get greedy and decide to send 2btc to get 4.

Lets wait for him and hopefully its gonna be tough to get the meaning of his reply.
I don't think mrquackquack will comment in this topic, he'll prolly not even see this topic, except maybe a pm is sent to him, to notify him of this thread, and I think that is also not necessary. He looks interested to connect to various people from different parts of the world, I don't know why, and it is definitely not wrong as well. Maybe a user who has actually sent him a pm or had a discussion with him privately can tell us what it was about, if they do not mind of course.
4676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to get the name of ethereum wallet on: August 11, 2020, 07:45:40 AM
Then it's NOT impossible since exchange can give out identity for a certain circumstances. LOL. You just contradict your own statement. The OP didn't indicate the reason why he wants to get the identity of wallet owner that's why I answer it general which is possible through my method considering he is tracking his funds that recently hacked/scam. Wink
I didn't mean your post is wrong, nor did I contradict myself. If Op was recently hacked or scammed, he can't get any useful information on the hackers address from an exchange, as his stolen funds is nothing near a high profile crime, see the example I gave initially. I used impossible, rather than improbable to dissuade OP and other newbies who think it's possible to recover their funds, but go on to fall for a second scam in the process of recovery, as we've seen on numerous occasions.
4677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to get the name of ethereum wallet on: August 11, 2020, 07:05:30 AM
Unless you can track the address transaction outside the blockchain like when send his fund to an exchange which you can ask help for exchange to track user identity.
Even if one tracks a users address to the exchange used, it'll be impossible to get the exchange to give out the address owners identity. Exchanges can only give out that info in a case of a high profile crime or hack, for example if it's a case like the famous twitter hack involving prominent individuals like the ex POTUS; so just tracking any address to an exchange will be more or less useless.
4678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2020, 06:08:04 PM
Pirlo was a very smart player and when he decided to be a manager and got hold of Juventus youth team I knew that he would eventually move into Juventus main team, that is what teams do these days, they get their old players into youth teams and then they ask them to take control of the main team, I think same will happen to Xavi and Barcelona as well.
Some quality players have turned successful managers lately, pep and Zidane to mention a few, and I admire that clubs give their legends an opportunity to try out their managerial skills in the team they played for and loved so much. But in Juve's case, tbh, I expected an established manager, Juve want Instant fix, they want the ucl. Pirlo has to adapt and it'll take time; I know pep and Zidane succeeded instantly, but what if Pirlo doesn't, will the club be ready to give him time, this is a gamble imo.
he will do what he wants to do and you have to let him because dude is good enough to know what is right for him and what is wrong for him. And subbing him out or not playing him would be suicide for a team like Juventus.
For managers who love more of team play than individual efforts, having Ronaldo is a burden. No doubts about his quality and desire but the coaches instructions should be adhered to always. Ronaldo wants to be the star man always, even in games he's having little or no impact, and if the coach is to make a tactical change that'll see him go off, all hell will be let loose, that's lack of team desire/play imo.
4679  Economy / Reputation / Re: Eventually, 1xbit has launched its Signature campaign on: August 10, 2020, 05:29:38 PM
There are people like JollyGood who would change their negative into neutral just when a campaign is launched .. just like Jolly changed his feedback for bestchange so maybe a good idea to run a campaign, pay some coins to dogs and get the negative feedback removed. Well done.
No user would rescind his feedback because a website launched a signature campaign, in the case of best_change, they were able to clear their websites name and even at that, the red tags still remained, but then their signature campaign went on for months and the users in the campaign were paid smoothly as well the fact that there was no fresh issue against their website, so it's fair to say the website can be trusted and thus almost every user who had initially left a negative, revised it to a positive or neutral.

That being said, 1xbit is doing nothing to clear their name from the initial scam accusation, so I'm sure the tags will remain till that happens.
4680  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: August 10, 2020, 10:54:18 AM
Holding you cash is practically the same thing with keeping it in the bank when inflation/devaluation hits. The banks though provides safety of your funds from theft and robbery, you'll not be seeing people withdrawing large sums, only to keep it at home, you can be tracked and your money will be stolen, those withdrawing prolly have needs to be met.

I don't know your country, but a situation of a bank going bankrupt in my country or a first world country is next to impossible, the banking sector is responsible for your funds, with so many measures in place to avoid insolvency. And in a situation were the bank is going through a rough time, you'll get your funds back, though devalued, and that is why investors choose to buy gold and bitcoin to avoid that, but rather make profits.
