4661  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Less-know scam: Crypto hardware on: September 19, 2020, 09:46:19 AM
People shouldn't pre-order things from company without good reputation and history.
The only reason I can think of is that those company are claiming superior technology and performances with their mining gear and probably throwing lots of study or even graphs to convince potential victims.

Besides, just because a new hardware wallet is forked/based on another popular hardware wallet, people shouldn't think it'll be good hardware wallet.
For the wallet, I will say that it's odd and although we have seen forked coins, I never heard of a fork hardware wallet though.
4662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any suggestion in investment in Defi coins/tokens on: September 19, 2020, 09:00:57 AM
Nowadays the Defi project is growing very fastly and many of the coins/tokens are successfully trading and many big investors are getting into it. So, I want some suggestions in investment in Defi coins/tokens and which Defi project should I can invest in, as a short time to get a good gain.
All I can say is that in order for you to gain good profits, you have to take a big risk, in the thousands of dollars. This is what I'm observing from the outside, but a word of caution as well, there are a lot of projects using Defi's name and mostly are going to pull an exit scam. I wouldn't recommend, but you should always DYOR. Probably you can start with coinmarkecap and see which Defi is doing good or have so-so performance and then decide if you're willing to take that big leap.
4663  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Another FAKE Binance airdrop on: September 19, 2020, 08:29:48 AM
This is crazy, Binance would never do a lousy airdrop. The only free airdrop they are doing are from coin voting, savings product and some twitter giveaway which can be recognized easily.

People asking to click something to get airdrop especially on btc, eth and usdt are obviously scam one. Dont dare to proceed cause it will probably directed to a malicious site that coukd steal your funds.

Nice catch OP.
I try to proceed and check it out, and it seems these scammers are creating a new address for every victims, clever way to make it hard to report the Bitcoin and Ethereum addresses because it is changing. Yes, the only way for Binance to have this sort of giveaway is thru following their official twitter account, nothing more, nothing less. So this is fake at the very beginning and I do hope that no beginners will be trap by this one.
4664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 19, 2020, 07:53:33 AM
As expected, Busta didn't offer much resistance, 6-1, 6-1 easy win for him. He will be going against Raonic next. Djokovic vs Filip Krajinović tomorrow.

did you bet on Raonic, since you are certain that he is going to beat Lajovic today?
it is a good quote @1.4, and you already seen Raonic against Nadal, i think that he is a bit of favorite and @1.4 is a good value, but Lajovic is good on clay, while Raonic does not have some great strikes on clay

Musetti is set as a favorite with Nishikori by bettors, i will put something on handicap for Nishikori - -2.5 @1.65 seems as good choice

I hope that you didn't bet high stake on the "good quote" for Raonic to win as he lost the match. For me odds of 1.4 are too low to place a bet on.
I expected that Nadal would win, but expected that it would be a closer match.

Nah, as I have said, I'm not betting on this tournament, it's a pass for me. Unfortunately, Raonic lost, so if I have bet on him, I'll probably be frustrated.

I will echo the sentiments that Nadal is really hard to beat in this tournament. I'll probably cheer for @Trofo. Smiley

@vella85 - We've been following Tsitsipas, I think it's time to look for Lorenzo Musetti very closely because he is showing confidence with every win. Let's see how far can he go in this tournament.

Well Lorenzo Musetti couldn't keep the momentum losing to Dominik Koepfer in straight sets. I would of liked to see Musetti win and go on to face Djokovic as it would of been interesting to see how well he plays against a top ranked player. Even though he lost I still think that he is one to watch in the future as he does look like he'll be a good player.
It will be interesting to see how Musetti will play against Djokovic, if he could have won against Koepfer. Maybe he was really suffering from the pain, wasn't able to watch the match, but as per @Trofo he suddenly switch his style and go for a low percentage shot? Well I will say that it is inexperience that might really drove him to try this one in such critical game, thus losing 6-0.
4665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 19, 2020, 07:18:39 AM
Final Score is Lakers 126 , Nuggets 114.

Others might see this as Nuggets played poorly but they played well. But the problem is, the Lakers played much better.

Foul trouble also killed the Nuggets momentum. I'm Lakers on the series but I like Nuggets to give them a hard fight like what they did to the expected team to beat the Lakers in the playoffs, the Los Angeles Clippers.
Watch the first two quarters and says that Lakers are more coherent team and Nuggets wasn't able to stop their transition game. And I would also commend Dwight Howard, he played a crafted defense on Jokic in the second quarter, draw some offensive fouls on him and that's it. Jokic wasn't able to get back in the game mentally. While Howard created a lot of opportunity, blocking shots, trash talking, I think he is one of the intangibles in this Game 1.
4666  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US charges two Russian crypto hackers on: September 18, 2020, 10:39:32 AM
If i were a major government I would have at least Two mixers under my control.

It is so easy to do for them. Run it legit until someone moves a lot of “bad” coins and seize them for auction.

with these idea your giving people an idea to not use mixers because  people use mixers because they thought it was decentralized and they dont wana get tracked but this idea is also great to catch the person that are guilty for doing illegal and bad deeds  and besides , they wont also know that the mixer they use is run under by government because owners wont also said that publically  . on the other hand i dont think that the caught hackers are not smart to forgot to conceal thier selves but it could be that authorities are just smarter than them .
Nah, I will still used mixers though, if I wanted to hide my track from the prying eyes of those alphabet agencies. But come to think of it, possible right? So probably he is playing devil's advocate here, but not implausible, maybe one of our favourite mixers <insert name here> are really under the government control that's why they've always caught this thieves.
4667  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Swerve Finance phishing sites on: September 18, 2020, 10:15:18 AM
The first site that the OP find has been taken by down by Google. However, if you are going to search using the keyword again "Swerve finance", you will find this site on top, another phishing site:

Code:
https://swerve-finance.eu/

So again, we need to report this ASAP, I have done my part.
4668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Court enforces Seizure of Bithumb Korea on: September 18, 2020, 09:55:48 AM
Sadly, the beginning of the end for Bithumb has already begun. This is going to be all spiral downward for the country's top cryptocurrency exchange. Beginning from the first raid which was almost immediately followed by a second raid. And now the enforcing of the seizure.

Bithumb traders will probably be leaving in large number from this exchange. I would do the same if I have an account in there. This platform could close anytime.
Well this is really a black eye for Bithumb since they have carved a name in crypto space as far as trading exchange is concern. And when one door closes, another opportunity opens to maybe another exchanges will open up to fill the void for our South Korean traders or they are just going to move to other local exchanges. Or we don't know, maybe there will be take over with new management and rebrand everything and then continue their stay in the South Korean crypto platform game.
4669  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Fake Uniswap giveaway on: September 18, 2020, 08:28:35 AM
Good catch and thankfully no one has fallen for this trick because the ETH address is empty. We really need to be vigilant as there are going to be scammers around taking advantage of this Uniswap ver 2 (as far as I know) and will create this kind of threads to lure potential victims. And probably these are related to Uniswap phishing sites as well that is popping like mushrooms in crypto space.
4670  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: coming CBDC help or hurt bitcoin? on: September 18, 2020, 07:19:06 AM
I voted no impact as well and it's not a threat either. It's just government saying they wanted to join crypto space by having their own crypto back token. And mostly if will be private blockchain though, so effect at all whatsoever to the current ecosystem. What's interesting is that government are going to used this CBDC to be another way of taxing their people, so we need to be careful of this CBDC's though. Well if you can used it within your country then good, but we should weight whether it could really bring a total cashless society or will it be another burden for us.
4671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The state of Yiled Farming and future on: September 17, 2020, 11:08:34 PM
I think of all those yield farming projects that are there right now only a handful will survive longer than a year.
I mean those who promise 300% + APY can't be sustainable very long. That just has to be kind of a ponzi scheme.
Plus as others already mentioned. They are the reason why Ethereum gasprices skyrocketed in the last weeks.
Of course that kind of APY returns are not sustainable and even if billions are flowing in the market right now, sooner or later the hype will die down and it will collapse. I'm just imagining what it will bring to the whole ecosystem if that suddenly happens. That's one advantage of whales though, they have so much money that they can play the market around driving the price up at the same time, the first one to withdraw the profits. As for the gas price, we can't do anything about it unless Eth2.0 will resolved that issue.
4672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 17, 2020, 10:40:56 PM
I tried betting on tennis yesterday and I lost all bets hehe. However, from my casual eye, I noticed that the Italians were winning against the players who are favored to win. This might not be a coincidence, I reckon. Italian mafia?

I am looking for something to blame for my losses hehehehe.
Nah, this tournament is in Rome, so probably Italian has home court advantage here and probably using the court and very familiar with it. Nadal is unstoppable in this surface, I wouldn't bet against him, lol. Look at how he destroys Busta here, very very easy match for him. So Nadal will be the favorite here and I don't know who's going to stop Nadal as he really looks fresh as well. Did anyone bet on Musetti? he won against Nishikori? Again very promising player to watch.
4673  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam]: Swerve Finance phishing sites on: September 17, 2020, 12:07:12 PM
I'm still getting that phishing site through Google Ads, I reported it to Google, maybe they can take it down very quick. And nice comparison of the fake and legit, really shows how criminals are operating, taking every detail of the sites that they are going to copy.

4674  Economy / Economics / Re: get ready guys for this soon on: September 15, 2020, 10:54:29 AM
We're already in the USD fueled economy for years isn't it? It British pound will go down, it's because of the Brexit drama that has been hounding EU for years now if I'm not mistaken. So it's time to go to crypto and hedge your wealth. In any case, the OP has been making bold predictions lately, so it's up to you/us to take him seriously or not.  Grin

4676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: European Union official pledges action on stablecoins after calls for new curbs on: September 15, 2020, 09:44:20 AM
It seems they see the future of blockchain as a solution to economic governance problems. If Europe succeeds and becomes the model, then other countries or organizations in the region will follow, which is a ripple effect. I think their stable coins will take a long time to create and circulate. I am wondering which Crypto technology they will choose on the market to cater to their innovations and what is the cost of transferring money per transaction?
I think it's very easy to create a stable coins, but the problem is implementation and user's acceptance, unless there is really an incentives for people to get a stable coins created by their country, then it won't be recognised or it might take some time to be accepted. They will used their own private blockchain here no doubt and only government officials can have access to it. If it crypto back by government then it used by 1:1 to their local fiat.
4677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 15, 2020, 09:23:47 AM
Ok let's move on to Rome - Italian Masters.

Finally we are going to see Nadal here, and what a way to return that going up against Busta (US Open semi-finalist). But head to head, Nadal leads 5-0, no offense to his compatriot but this is Nadal's favourite court. And if he win, who's he gonna face next? Western & Southern Open finalist Milos Raonic. Not an easy draw for Nadal, but I think he can reach the finals again.

Both of them would cause Nadal a lot more problems on hard surface - especially Raonic. I don't know if Nadal is in good form or not but as long as he's got 1 leg and can still hold a racquet, he'll be my favorite on clay.
I'm guessing that Nadal is still in form, despite not playing in the US Open. And he has rested his body fully enough in this pandemic. And again, this is clay, his specialty.

Maybe a handicap on Busta would be a good bet, as you say, he's coming to Rome full of confidence and in top form.
Maybe Nadal woke up in the wrong side of the bed and Busta pulling an upset. who knows.

4679  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Donald Trump signs executive orders banning TikTok and WeChat on: September 14, 2020, 09:31:32 AM
Here's the latest of this long saga, Microsoft out of race to purchase TikTok as US ban draws near. So who's left? Oracle, very interesting that Oracle is really making a pitch to get this controversial apps for now.
4680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 14, 2020, 09:09:18 AM
What happened in the semifinals so far:
- East: Miami defeated Bucks (4-1); Celtics advances after seven games (4-3)
- West: Lakers defeated Rockets (4-1); Clippers and Nuggets will battle it out in game 7.

That's a good story line don't you think?
Yeah, specially the Miami story line, as for the Celtics vs Toronto, Celtics already built their team with and it works perfectly with Kemba, while Toronto after winning last years championship was left without their main main. Lakers it is expected with Lebron and Davis, while surprisingly Nuggets hang on against Leonard and Paul George and force a decider. Clippers collapses was very uncanny. So let's see how the story line will go.
